they ate silently for a while before the prince remembered the boy's words from before "you wanted to know about me?"

"Y-yes Your Highness, if its not too much of a bother" he stammered.
He was really interested in what the Prince would have to say.
It was a good idea for them to get to know each other, since they might be living together for a while.

he shook his head "nothing about me cannot be known by asking others but if it pleases you then ask"

Evan decided to start things off on a light foot. "Alright. Your Highness, please tell me about some of your favorite things" Evan requested.
He sat fidgeting.

he was halted. noone had ever asked that before "i don't know" he knew what he did not like but as to what he did?

Evan was slightly surprised by the answer. The Prince did not have favorite things?
"O-oh... Do you have things that you enjoy then? Not necessarily favorite things, but things that make you happy?" he asked.

that was easier to answer "fine horses, beautiful women, good wine, handsome men, and flowers" he smiled lightly "especially flowers"

Evan brightened at the mention of horses and flowers. " I enjoy horses as well, at home my Father breeds Arabians. Such beautiful creatures... He started off with a pair, and now we have eight of them" Evan said happily, thinking about his time spent helping groom and care for them during the summers.
Evan also loved flowers, but that was probably a fact the Prince was well aware of already.

he smiled widly "i raise palfreys, you will come and look at them some time, they are the very best of the very best." he paused then lost his smile "actually you are a woman now aren't you?" his brow furrowed

Evan downright pouted. Women weren't allowed to do anything fun.
For the first time he honestly pitied his sister, not that she followed traditions meant for women folk.
"Ah, I suppose I am Your Highness" he answered.

his frown deepened "i can make it so that you can see them, do you trust me?"

Evan nodded without hesitation. "Of course Your Highness" he answered.

he grinned lecherously "then we will be making a scandal" he took a bite of his apple "eat quickly"

Evan was a bit confused, but did as the Prince said.
He ate his food quickly, and waited patiently for the Princes response.

when the boy was done he took his hand and hurried him down the halls, when they got close to the stables he lifted the boy over his shoulder and picked up his gait, he puton his most lecherous grim and paraded into the stables surprising everyone "OUT!" the hands were all quick to move for they knew what that tone meant. he spent many a fine evening with maids and hands in the stable and it was nothing out of the ordinary for him to clear the place out. when every last person left he let the boy down. "you know they are expecting a show before we leave right?"

"S-Show?" Evan asked naively.
Well, he had some idea of what the Prince meant, but he wasn't sure if he was just being delusional or not.
His face flushed several shades of red.

he laughed "just a bit of noise to fill their gossiping mouths" he dropped to a whisper "forgive me if i am too rough" he pushed the boy back into the door with a thump and kissed him bruisingly, he trailed his hands to the back of the dress and undid his work with a couple quick flicks making sure to be loud about it. he trailed down over the boy's neck and bit hard

The first noise that Evan made was an ungraceful "Oof" when the Prince pushed him down.
The second was a sharp intake of breath, as he saw the Princes face near his own.
The third? Well, there wasn't really much of one, he just laid there somewhat dumbly.
The Prince was kissing him.
Kissing him.
Kissing. Him.
Once Evan's mind passed the blanket of shock, he started panicking internally.
'What am I supposed to do?' he asked himself.
'Do I kiss back? What if he's just playing around, that would be so embarrassing...' he reasoned.
'But what if he's not, and he gets offended that I didn't respond?!' he stammered in his brain.
Evan was freaking out.
Hesitantly, Evan responded, not sure if he was doing the right thing. He reached up and grabbed a fistful of the Princes shirt and sort of clung to him.
Besides the roughness of the kiss, it wasn't half bad. Not that Evan could tell if it was good or bad kiss, as it was his first one.
He was starting to feel somewhat comfortable when he suddenly heard and felt the Prince loosening his dress.
A surprised yelp passed Evans lips when the Prince suddenly bit him.
Bit him?
Was the Prince secretly a vampire?

he could hear the tittering of the hands behind the door, he left off of the boy and banged hard once "GO AWAY" he waited until the last of the voices and footsteps had left then pulled himself away. "ok, they are sated, you wanted to see the horse?" he stood up and brushed himself off, turning around he went to the nearest horse and patted it's shoulder "the very best horses" he glanced at the boy who was still against the door "well? come, you know horses, look"

Evan stood and walked carefully towards the horse, so as not to spook it.
They were absolutely beautiful. The particular horse before him was short legged and long bodied.
It seemed to have a very sweet temperament as well. Evan reached out his hand to gently stroke its well maintained coat.
He looked into the horses eye, and noted that its gaze held great patience and intelligence.
"Magnificent... What do you call this horse?" Evan asked reverently.

"she is auspicious" she is not my favorite but she is one of the fastest of the females, she is still a yearling though so we have time yet to see if she is worth breeding" he moved on to the next horse

"What a lovely name" Evan said, and followed the Prince onto the next horse.

"this is love, she is our fastest mare and one of the best, she mothered auspicious and vivere" he offered the horse a bit of salt from a bucket nearby "and this one, this is aurilous, he is our stud and my favorite" he pressed his face to the horse's "unlike the others he was bought as a yearling not raised like the others, though do not touch, he bites" he pulled away and rubbed the horse's nose.

Evan was impressed with the way that the horses responded to the Prince. "You have a way with them don't you?" he asked, smiling.
Horses are highly intelligent creatures, and were able to sense peoples emotions and intentions. So, to tame them was quite a feat, especially if they had strong wills.
Evan thought that the Prince looked adorable with his nose against the horses.
That thought made him blush, and shake his head to clear the thought.
'Did I just think he was cute?' Evan questioned himself.
He had a feeling that things were going to get quite difficult.

he laughed "i had better, i am second, it is my duty to oversee the horses" he looked at the other, boyish charm written across his face, "would you like the yearling? i would let you have her if you'd like"

"Y-You would give her to me?" Evan asked surprised. Truth be told, he fancied the horse greatly.
Walking carefully back to Auspicious, he reached out and ran his fingers soothingly through her mane.
She reached up and nudged his hand with her nose, and Evan laughed. "She's so friendly" he answered happily.

he nodded "they are mine and you are mine, therefore they are yours too" he stayed by his horse but looked towards even "she is young and well bred, if you treat her well she will treat you well, though...you do understand you cannot come here on your own, you are my wife, you are not my lover or my servant"

"Y-Yes Your Highness" Evan answered.
It would be hard for him to get used to the customs women must follow. He was quite used to going wherever he wished, whenever he wished.
His thoughts suddenly became of their approaching wedding.

his smile dropped a bit at the other's look "what?"

" I was thinking about the wedding " Evan admitted, hoping he wouldn't ruffle the Princes feathers.
" The dress will be quite hard to put on..." He began.

he laughed "i have never abducted a bride before, i would know nothing of those sorts of trappings, though i see where you would have an issue, we can bring one of your people yes? or do they not know either?"

" I believe my entire family knows... I'll send for one of them immediately" Evan answered, feeling relieved that the Prince had mentioned family.
Looking at the Prince Evan gave him a contemplative look. "Do you think that your family suspects anything?" he asked nervously.

he laughed again but this one lacked joy "which of those jackels would be displeased if they ever found out? i doubt anyone notices or else i would not be so heavily watched. have you not noticed all of the eyes since you have come?"

Evan recognized that he had touched a delicate subject. "I'm terribly sorry if I've brought up something that upsets you Your Highness" he apologized.
The truth was he HAD noticed all the prying eyes. He hadn't thought anything strange about it. After all, he was to be the Princes Bride, he just assumed he would be watched closely.
He had never suspected that it had anything to do with the Prince himself.
It seemed that from the few times he had spoken of his family, that the relationships between the Prince and the rest of the royal family was quite stressed.

he softened his face. "it is nothing to be concerned about, if you bear no children they will not care, i am of no use to anyone otherwise." all of a sudden his face lit up and he moved over to the other. he grabbed the boy's shoulder and peered at his neck, the prince's grin grew wide

Evan wondered why the Prince was staring at his neck so interestingly.
"Oh, do I have dirt on my neck?" he asked, moving to wipe whatever the Prince was staring at off.
When he wiped, he found that nothing came off.
Strange.

he grabbed the boy's hand and moved it back to his neck lowering it nearly to the collar

Which is exactly where the Prince had bit him earlier. " Your Highness... Is there something wrong with my neck?" he asked naively.

he said nothing and instead pushed down lightly

Evan felt the area react with a slightly tender tingle. His face flushed and he yelped slightly.
This was new.
Looking into a nearby trough of water, he could see his reflection very clearly.
And he saw what had caused the tenderness.
A vivid red mark.
His Mother had once talked to his sister about having one, she called it a love bite.
Evan gasped, and looked quite flustered.
