"I'm sure. I have a little anger to work out now." Renee smiled slightly as she pulled down her long sleeved under uniform shirt. She grabbed her uniform jacket off of the footlocker and put it on. She picked up her Kukri and sabre from the footlocker as well. "Ready to go." She sighed as she buckled the sheathes on her waist.
Sanai put her hand back on Renee's shoulder, teleporting them both to the secret base she established in New York City. She let go of Renee, looking around, "As you are aware, I have been watching New York City for quite some time, but I have been unable to bring you here, due to your rank. Do you know why NYC has been red zoned, Renee?"
Renee shook her head, "No I don't, again probably because of my rank." She shrugged. "But I was assuming it was because of the half breeds." She gently crossed her arms, her left still hurt a little.
She nodded, "Correct. Not only have the half breeds decided to make this their..home..hundreds of Rouges live here too. LTG Waldemar and Eagans have requested that I gather information about their..operations. You know, the usual. I've got some pretty useless information from these beasts, but my aim is to find out why. Why are the Rouges helping the humans, and turning some, and fighting against us? What could the humans possibly offer them to make them betray their own. You know, psychological stuff..." She sighed, leaning against the wall, "It's so hard for me to gather this information stuff behind these walls...they cannot sense me, or anyone else, in here, and they certainly cannot enter without my permission so we're completely safe. I need someone who can get on the inside, and they know that I most certainly would never help them." She looked to Renee, "I think you'd be rather capable of this. You have knowledge they would love to get their grabby little hands on, and I know you can act very well."
"The humans could be forced into it." Renee pointed. "My little playmate is slightly." She cleared her throat. "So you want me to infiltrate the main rouge hiding place and 'join' them to get information from them?" She looked up to the taller woman. "Thank you for the compliment, but I was an actress a few hundred years ago... Which you know." She smiled. She unclipped her sabre and her Kukri, "I'll do it. And I'll relay back as much as I can." She handed her weapons to Sanai. "And I'm assuming the board knows about this, or will soon. Because I have a feeling that I will have to kill a few comrades." She sighed. "Well wish me luck."
She took the weapons, "This is entirely black. The Council is unaware of our intentions...you are not to let them get this information from your mind. I will do what I can to block them from you, but it'll hard since we have to discrete. The LTG's a tad unaware you are here...but that's okay. I will inform him later." She set the weapons on the table beside her, "If you are not comfortable doing this, you don't have to. This is very very dangerous Renee...do you remember Major General Marcs?" She frowned a bit.
"I understand Sanai." Renee nodded. "I have heard about him, I never met him. I'm assuming by the look on your face that he did something like this and was killed?" She was nonchalant about it. "I will do this Sanai. And I know this is basically suicide, but I know I can do this." Her red eyes were filled with fire.
Sanai nodded, "I can't let you go quite yet though, I still need to debrief you on a few things. First off, what do you know about the Half-Breeds? I know we've meet a few...but..other than that, do you have any knowledge about them? I'm not sure what a Corporal can know about them..."
Renee shrugged, "I don't know much... Other then there are three classes. And that they all have some psychic abilities, their senses are heightened a little and they have the healing of a fledgling vampire." She crossed her arms again as she leaned on a table. "That's all I know." She nodded.
"Half breed vampires do have powers, but their strength usually doesn't match that of a Pure. Obviously depending on the Class, their powers are either more developed and stronger, or not. Their healing abilities however, are impeccable. They can regenerate their limbs rather quickly, and most cuts and broken bones heal almost instantly. Their telekinesis will obviously vary, but it can be rather powerful with certain Half breeds. Their senses can match our own, no matter what Class they are in and their strength follows suit." Sanai paused, heading over to the desk and opening one of the drawers and pulling out three manila folders. Their tabs were labeled A Class, B Class, and C Class.
"Half breeds are divided into three class, A, B, and C; A being the lowest threat and C being the highest." She came back over, hesitating a bit before handing the A and B Class folders over to Renee. Inside each was a compilation of various half breed vampires of said classes and what little information they had. "Each class is divided into three ranks, low class, middle class, and high class based on their power level of their respective main class." She held onto the C Class folder though, "The half breeds we've met were all Middle A Class vampires, rather weak compared to us and the C and B classes of course." She sighed deeply, not really sure if she wanted Renee to go out on this mission...but she was the only vampire she could trust to this mission. |
Renee listened intently, she looked at the pictures and read what information was given. She looked to Sanai, "Very interesting." She nodded. "I am still willing to do this Sanai." She laid the folders on the table she was leaning on. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it as she felt guilt, worry, and a large amount of trust roll off of her.
She nodded, "I know Renee, but I'm still worried about you. Major General Marcs..did not make it back from the first night out." She glanced up from the C Class folder to Renee, a slightly worried expression on her face even though she tried to hide it. "Once you're in this mission Renee, you cannot back out until the war is over, or until you're dead." She paused a moment, "Shall I continue then?"
"I figured he didn't." Renee sighed. "I truly understand Sanai. But I'm not planing on dying." She smiled a little. "Go ahead and continue." She nodded.
Sanai nodded, "The qualifications for each class are fairly loose as of now. A Class Half Breeds are the least..'mutated' and lowest in power among them. Low A's have almost no difference compared to humans, except maybe red eyes and/or slitted pupils; Middle A's might have slightly pointed to severely pointed ears along with the previous requirements for Low A's; and High A's may have sharpened fingernails-like claws-maybe a tail and small useless wings. Of course, power levels for each half breed in the A Class do vary, but the higher rank in the Class, the stronger the vampire. The A Class vampires are most in touch with their human side and therefore retain the most intelligence.
"B Class vampires work in a similar manner, obviously. The Lower B's are slightly more..developed. Their wings are useful, but maybe only for gliding. Their claws are very sharp and rather long compared to their A Class cousins, and depending on the person, they may not even have wings and/or a tail. Middle B Class vampires do not really appear much different than the Low Class other than their eyes might be devoid of a pupil and their feet might be leaning toward Digigrade rather than Plantigrade. High B Class vampires almost always have wings, Digigrade feet, long dangerous claws and horns. We're unsure of why these mutations take place and how they coincide with the Class and power, but they occur. B Class vampires loose much of their human side within a few days of turning and therefore, they're intelligence matches that of an average American middle schooler." Sanai paused, holding the C Class folder for a moment before reluctantly handing it over to Renee, "C Class vampires are the most dangerous. They can easily match, or even top, the power level of most Pure vampires. Low C Class vampires are very closely related to High B Class vampires in appearance, and their power level is just slightly above theirs. Middle C Class vampires are fully..'mutated' I guess you can call it..but have not managed to tap into their full power yet. Most B Classes, turn into C Classes at some point in time. C Class vampires can also further mutate into something that doesn't really resemble a human anymore. These vampires are the most dangerous of the Classes and you must avoid them at all costs. They may lack intelligence and independence, but if they're pointed at you, you need to get away as fast as possible." |
Renee grabbed the folder and carefully looked at the 'DO NOT ENGAGE.' red stamped pictures. She closed it and laid it on top of the A and B class folders. "This is all very interesting." She looked to Sanai. "I am ready to go. Unless there is more you wish to tell me."
Sanai paused a moment, searching through hundreds of years of information, "Nothing I can think of off hand; I've never had to brief someone about this mission..MG Marcs already knew everything...he had to brief me actually.." She bit her lip, giving Renee a serious look, "Are you sure you want to do this? Once you leave this house, you cannot enter it again. We'll barely even be able to meet. Most of the information you will gather will have to be sent via telepathy and very discretely." She took the folders, replacing them in the draw of the beaten desk then turning back to Renee. "I know you're capable of this, but I'm still very nervous to let you go. The Rouges and Half Breeds are not to be taken lightly."
"I'm sure Sanai..." Renee trailed off trying to think of something else to say. "I know how to be discrete." She nodded. "I wont take them lightly Sanai. And you have nothing to worry about." She smiled walking over to the woman. She wrapped her arms around Sanai, and let go after a few moments. "I will be back, and I will see you soon my friend." With that she vanished.
A few seconds after Renee left Michael appeared in front of Sanai, "Are you out of your fucking mind?!" He ran his hand through his hair. He started pacing, "Your... I... Grr..." He trailed off as his anger grew. "I never swear and you made me swear." He clenched his fists. He growled as he started to calm down, "If anyone can do this... Renee can..." He trailed off running his hand through his hair again. |
Sanai jumped and quickly moved back, "Lieutenant General!" She quickly saluted him, watching him with her hands behind her back. "Sir, I know you're mad, even if you're starting to see my logic behind this." She gave him a slightly worried look, "I would much rather be doing this myself, but I reek of 'Council Servant'...as they call us. I just don't see another way to gather information on these groups...I will be monitoring Renee closely and I will do everything in my power to keep her alive. I will not fail you this time, Sir."
She sighed deeply, running her hand through her silver hair, "Please forgive me for not telling you...I knew you'd disagree right away; even if my logic is solid. Renee is a capable girl, and I was sure to tell her exactly how dangerous this mission is. She still wanted to do it, no matter what I told her. Perhaps we'll get lucky and they'll want to use her to spy on us. That's just wishful thinking though." She sighed again, falling into the rather new chair. "Either way..I'm not so sure about having her do this..." She hated being indecisive like she was doing right now, but she just couldn't pick a side. |
Michael stared hard at the silver hared woman, "I know she is capable Sanai. That's why I have put so much time into her and gave her to my best." He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He sighed before he removed his hands and crossed his arms. "You are to not do anything other then monitor Renee, and I want to know everything she tells you. Don't worry about the board I will take care of them. Understand Major General?" His tone was stern with a small amount of concern.
Renee landed just outside of the red zone, she sighed deeply as she stepped into the red. The second step she could feel hundreds if not thousands of eyes on her. She didn't let it unnerve her at all as she walked down the dark and destroyed street. |
Sanai nodded, "Of course, Sir. I will give you weekly reports, or daily..depending on the information flow. Do you wish for me to remain here at all times or back and forth to the House?"
"Remain here, only leave to feed and when you feed go as far away from the main house as you can." Michael sighed. "I don't want the board to get wind of any of this. For now." He looked to the door as he could feel Renee's apprehension. "I will also be popping in often to check on you." He looked back to Sanai. "I just hope they don't change her..." He trailed off.
Renee walked down the former Broadway, she was flying blind. She didn't know where the HQ of the rouges is. But she figured that it would be in the heart of New York City... |
"She will be fine. She is strong minded..." She sighed, and couldn't help but worry with the LTG. "May I ask you to grab a few things from the House for me? I would like to review the case file of Major General Marcs if possible. I know it's covered in red tape, but I want to make sure there's nothing in there that I have failed to tell Renee."
Suddenly, a large-winged figure jumped down from one of the lower, decrepit buildings. The figure glided silently in the night air, following Renee as she headed down Broadway. The creature's silhouette was barely visible among the cloud covered sky as it silently stalked the Pure Vampire. "Restrain her" Came a voice in the creature's head. With a nod, not that anyone could see, the creature dove, it's black claw like hands outstretched as it reached Renee. It's hands grabbed onto Renee's shoulders form behind and pushed her forward as they both fell to the ground, the obviously female creature dug her sharp talons into Renee's skin. She stood in a rather awkward position; for most, her partly-digigrade feet planted on Renee's thighs to keep her from moving. Her tail came around, the hook resting just under the Pure's chin while she waited for the owner of the voice to appear. Seconds later, a white haired woman appeared, her deep red eyes; which were almost black, glowed ever so slightly as she glared down to the Pure vampire beneath the Half-Breed. "Well done..this time." As she stepped closer, she pulled on the ornate hilt of her sword, placing the black black to the vampire's throat hissing as she saw the One-star pins at her lapel, "What is a Brigadier General doing this far into New York City?" She used the flat of the blade to turn Renee's head so she could see her pink eyes, muttering to herself, "Interesting...." |
Michael held out his hands and a huge file appeared in them. "Here is everything." He handed the file to Sanai. "I was looking at it since I was/am the person that issued this order." He sighed. "Need anything else?"
Renee grunted as she fell to the ground with long talons piercing her skin. Her red eyes looked at the white hare rouge vampire. "I no longer want to be part of the vampire army." She strained her eyes to see the woman's face. "I came here to see if you leader would let me join you." She glanced at the creature as she felt the talons dig further into her legs and shoulders. |
Sanai shook her head, "That'll be all, Sir. Thank you." She took the file then set it on the desk. She would have to organize it later. She let out a wince as she felt the talons in Renee's shoulder, "That took longer that I had expected...I'll have to work on my link with her.."
The woman tilted her own head a bit as she looked down at the vampire, using the flat of her blade to turn the girls face the other way. "For some twisted reason, I am finding it so hard to believe you," her voice was layered with sarcasm and hatred. "You don't just leave the army..you die. Not to mention, I don't think they would be so willing as to let one of their two BG's so far out of their sight...what are you really here for?" She took the sharp edge of the blade and put it to Renee's throat. |
"Your welcome. Now I must go, I need to make sure there is a good reason why you and Renee wont be at the General's meeting tomorrow." Michael nodded as he gathered up his power. "Make sure you do." With that he vanished.
Renee smirked as she felt the anger and hatred roll off of the rouge. "I want my revenge towards the army, I found out that the army set my family up." She looked to the rouge as much as she could. "They murdered my son and husband just so I would join them." She made her red eyes glow with anger. |
The Rouge narrowed her eyes, but removed the blade, "Get her up." She sheathed the sword, her hand remaining over the hilt. "And yet, you decided to work through the ranks to become a Brigadier General? I fail so see your logic behind this Pure."
The half-breed nodded, taking her feet off Renee's thighs and pulling her up as she stood. She kept her claws deep in Renee's shoulders, the tip of her hooked tail now hovering over the Pure's heart. Sanai bit her lip, eavesdropping on Renee's conversation as she went through and sorted the files. She would read over them when Renee was at a ..safe point in the mission. She prayed that Renee would survive..at least one night...or not get killed at all; that would be optimal. |
"I'm sure you are aware that there are certain files that are restricted to certain ranks." Renee made sure her wounds healed. "I was looking for a file for my former commanding officer, and I found a file that had my families last name on it." She paused. "That is when I found the horrible truth. And my former officer told me to forget about it and to not question the board." Her voice was layered in a deep fake hatred.
The Rouge reached out, grabbing Renee's chin as she spoke, glaring hard at her, "I am aware..." After a moment she left Renee's face go, placing her hand on her hip while her other remained ready at her sword, "You have a firm hold on her?" She looked back to the Half-Breed, who nodded, "Good." She grabbed Renee's wrist rather tightly with her free hand, teleporting both of them to a large, rather up-kept room. She then let Renee go, glancing to the creature, "On her knees."
The female nodded, ramming her knee into the back of Renee's to force her to the floor, her claws still deep in Renee's shoulders. The room was rather well furnished, almost like a throne room, minus all the bedazzlement and unnecessarily large chair. However, there was a rather pale haired main sitting in a nice Victorian-styled chair. He wore rather expensive looking clothes and had a strange looking teal bird-like creature perched on his shoulder. His bright tan eyes looked down to the pink haired vampire as the suddenly appeared. He raised his brow, "So, Brigadier General Renee Elizabeth Sullivan..." He leaned back in his chair, crossing his legs at the knee, "What can I do for you?" He appeared rather relaxed, considering the situation around the world. An air of intelligence, power, and darkness radiated around him and room. "It's not every day I get to see one of Major General Zontini's best pupils in my presence. Ah yes, I know all about your career, as well as hers. I'm..very well informed let's say." |
Renee looked up at the sandy blonde hared man, "I would like to join you sir." She paused. "I would like to get revenge on the army for what they did to my family." Her eyes flickered with anger. "Mainly against Sanai... Because she is the one that signed the order to murder my family." She growled slightly that she said that, but she had to be convincing...
"I think you can let her go...even if she were lying, there's no way she'd be able to hurt me." He folded his hands neatly in his lap while he watched Renee with a rather curious expression on his face.
With a nod, she removed her fingers from Renee's shoulders and took a few steps back. Suddenly, he appeared standing in front of Renee, holding her by the neck as he forced her back up to her feet. His eyes narrowed to slits, a few powerful telekinetic tendrils worming through her mind searching her thoughts and memories, "Hmm..interesting...you're rather unsure of the truth..but..you're determined. I like that...and you are fairly strong..." He let her go, a slight grin at his face, "Are they aware of the fact you are here? I have such a devious idea~ And I'd love for you to be at it's head~" |
Renee rubbed her shoulders slightly as the wounds healed, she cleared her throat. "No sir I don't think they are. If they were they would of come and got me. They don't like deserters very much." She watched the man in front of her trying to find anything that she could tell Sanai. "And if I may ask what is that sir?" Her eyes showed intrigue, but her mind was telling her that she shouldn't of done this.
He seemed mildly pleased, "Perfect~ And I want to keep it that way." He disappeared for a brief moment, reappearing back in his chair. "I need a bit of assistance. How do you feel about this...'war'?" He leaned forward, intrigued by her answer.
"Sir, I have a bad feeling about her. She showed up here in full uniform; not to mention it was perfectly clean. I am most certainly not trying to tell you what to do, but please be careful....though I know you always are." "Riesz, please relax. I know what I'm doing...I'll have you and your 'pet' watch her. If she's up to anything..sneaky, I will know thanks to your hawk eyes." |
"Its stupid... For thousands of years vampires have sat quietly at 'the top of the food chain'. Unannounced to the humans, and the army just sits and waits. For diplomacy." Renee took a step closer to the man as her eyes turned a bright red. "Oh how easy it would be to take over the humans. It would be a miraculous bloodbath." She smiled darkly.
He was silent a moment as he pondered over her answer. After a moment, he nodded, "Interesting answer, Renee." He leaned back into the chair steepling his fingers as his elbows rested on the arms of the chair. "You have ideals that mirror my own. I have been mounting my rebellion against the Council for hundreds of years..waiting for just the right moment to launch my first strike. Twenty years ago, I saw a world in chaos, humans at war with themselves; the mega-power the United States of America against the third world countries of the Middle East. What better opportunity to strike? So a few buildings blow up here, a few humans die there..terrorists are behind it all, they have to be. Correct?" He watched her as he paused a moment, then continued, "And now here we are, vampires against vampires. You former Council fails to realize that they have already lost...after all...who has the two most powerfull High C Class Half-Breeds to date? I don't think they do..."
He yawned, a bit bored now. "As for my...ingenious idea...You are relatively untouched, and I'm sure you could sneak back to the House and get a clean uniform without anyone knowing. Correct? I want you to do me a few..favors..." His bright tan eyes watched her intently, "What sort of..skills..do you have my dear Renee?" |
"Correct." Renee nodded as she listened intently. She held out her hand and a fresh uniform jacket in her hand. "I don't need to sneak back in." She smiled evilly as she removed her jacket and made it disappear. She quickly put on the new one, "And what would those favors be sir?" She looked to the man when she finished buttoning her jacket. "I have multiple skills... How do you think I became a BG?" Her tone seemed like she was being sarcastic, but she was far from it.
"I am well aware of how you became a Brigadier General, Renee. I require a few files from Lieutenant General Waldemar's office....They don't have names, and I'm almost positive they do not reside in the House. I don't even know what they look like, but I know he's got some..delicate information regarding myself and my associates. I need those files.." He was silent for a moment, "And the Lieutenant General himself. I know you are on a rather friendly basis with him...."
"If they aren't in his office I do know where he would hide them." Renee crossed her arms. "Do you want him dead or alive?" She really didn't want to bring in the LTG, but she had to.
"Alive preferably...the sooner the better, obviously. I want the files first though...I don't care what you have to do to get them..just get them to me." He leaned forward for a moment then stood, heading over to Renee, "I'm sure you're capable of this...am I wrong?"
"I will have them to you within a few hours. And as for the LTG, I will have him here shortly after." Renee smirked evilly. "And you are not wrong sir. I can do this." She felt a sense of déjà vu when she said that.
"I don't want him here yet, Renee...files first." He narrowed his eyes a bit, then shooed her away, "Now go. I want the quick results you are promising me."
