if i had the money (and a job offer) i would!

Tiva 08-18-2016 04:00 PM

I like the cold, more clothes are better than less and I despise running in the heat. The local high school has had to delay school before so that the kids wouldn't die of heat stroke on the buses with no AC.

Also…. how is it school time already?

Den 08-18-2016 04:35 PM

I guess I'm the weird one of the group. I don't like the heat OR the cold. Mid-spring and early to mid-fall are my favorite times of year, when I can walk outside in jeans and t-shirt and not melt, or freeze.

Lawtan 08-18-2016 05:38 PM

I like the cold, but not humidity. I can stand the heat...though that is more stupidity-determination that is akin to playing in snow in a tshirt and shorts...

And yeah...I had 8 days between summer and fall classes. Wheeeeeee!
(It's okay a little because I like the classes...less okay because there are more of these things called humans in the fall xD)

Tiva 08-19-2016 11:02 AM

I wish I could have just taken summer classes sometimes. The class size was smaller, more hands on. That or online only classes

Wow. Here they shut schools due to cold.

LOL I didn't say I liked 'em, Den. I just said I could cope better with the one than the other. I'm a fall and spring person too. Also a rainy day one.

Have you played in snow in summer clothes? I've walked over dried-out spring snowdrifts in sandals.

Pretty much. Though it doesn't snow as often as I'd like.

Tam I am 08-19-2016 06:50 PM

Awww. Maybe someday you can visit someplace or move someplace with real snow.

Den 08-19-2016 07:23 PM

I should probably go make dinner...

trystan830 08-19-2016 10:35 PM

you can come visit me, Law... next time we have a Snowmageddon. ;)

Tam I am 08-20-2016 11:01 AM

Snowmegeddon? Whut?

trystan830 08-20-2016 04:52 PM

back a few years ago, (2010, according to wiki), it was like we had a big-ass blizzard like every other week. there was Snowmageddon, Snowmageddon: Snoverkill, and Snowicane. crap-ton of snow. after a while, we had no idea where to put it all. walking down the sidewalk was fun - there were walls of snow on either side.

Didn't we also have Snowpocalypse at one point? I know I made a youtube video about it in 2012...

Lawtan 08-20-2016 05:44 PM

I'd have loved that! Snow Wars IV: A Cold Hope

trystan830 08-20-2016 05:50 PM

yeah, probably, Den. i've gotten a LOT of snow in my life.

love it, Lawtan!

Den 08-21-2016 02:46 AM

Lawtan, you need to move up my way. We get snow every single winter, and it's usually around for at least a month.

Meanwhile, I'm gonna save up and move out to California, because the cold and wet makes my joints ache. :P lol

LMBO. I haven't seen enough snow for even a little wall since I was around nine. We still have snow, just not that much.

trystan830 08-22-2016 08:51 PM

sometimes we have a lot of snow... sometimes we have just enough to make everyone forget how to drive in it. XD

Den 08-23-2016 12:51 PM

this entire month has gone by quick... :/

trystan830 08-23-2016 01:08 PM

agreed!

:/

Lawtan 08-23-2016 02:22 PM

True. Tempus fugit, indeed.

Den 08-23-2016 03:05 PM

...took me a moment to realize what you wrote, Law.

Lawtan 08-23-2016 03:12 PM

Ich spreche ein bisschen Latein, Deutsch, und Griechisch. xD

(Though I am out of practice)

Anyway, *den hugs*

Den 08-23-2016 03:13 PM

*hugs Law* i kinda screwed up my sleep schedule by taking a nap yesterday/today... and I can feel another nap coming on... :/

Lawtan 08-23-2016 03:42 PM

You aren't the only one there - my sleep has been messed up due to parent stuff.

Tam I am 08-23-2016 07:34 PM

She slept all day and scared me, the brat.

Hey, at least I told you what had happened. :P

Tam I am 08-24-2016 01:59 PM

I know. And I know I was being stupid by worrying. It just seemed fun to tease you when I wrote that.

I sent you some stuff for you and the newbies fund.
