I have to admit in the beginning of this thread I had thought you were being a nit picker. ^^; On another site I play there was a nice background released that was made by an admin, not even an artist, made with those free fonts and such. Then someone got really nasty about it because there was an art contest going on and one of the participates got REALLY mad because the items was made using the fonts (in the contest there were restrictions on the size allowed for this but the contestants were still allowed to do it) but it seemed like the item broke the rules for the art contest. But the item was just something special released for a holiday or else there wouldn't have been anything for that holiday. And people had a fit just because someone not an artist released what they thought was a 'sub-par' item just because it didn't follow the contest rules even though its not a contest item. It would probably help if I showed the item. ^^;
Sorry, its just when that happened it annoyed me because the site uses a certain style and someone's art can literally be a superior style, so the official items can't even be held in the same regard or anything. And this was a REALLY CHEAP item that was released for a holiday, which was one of only two, and some people started bashing the site because of the 'quality' of the item. Funny thing is people have been wanting items like this. =.=; Some of them the very people complaining. So yeah, didn't really respond because of that. ^^; |
