That is true. The contest host should monitor those things. I'm thinking when some drama hound sees someone in a forum with a simular avatar. I used to see it all the time on Gaia. |
yeah. but there aren't really many contests at the moment. and we don't have enough items to really have 100% unique styles. someone comes up with a layering technique I didn't think of, and I guarantee you I will use it, because I've already done everything else and need something new to play with.

tch, in the last two years though on gaia copying /is/ a little more iffy, with thousands of items(not even counting color difs) it's hard to accidentally get an avi more than 50% identical

yeah, but gaia only has so much you can do with layering. here, when we have as many items as gaia does, it will REALLY be impossible to get the same avi without copying.

plus, on Gaia, all the rare/expensive/shiny/new items are popular so everyone wants to wear the same things. even here that happens. for a while, everyone wore the Anka wings, then the pandora boxes were released and everyone stopped wearing Ankas so they could wear their pandoras. then when the yearlies came out, no one wanted to wear pandoras anymore because they were old and the yearlies were much more detailed and pretty.
