"It shouldn't." Seth said with a smile. He jumped a little bit when Solomon appeared. He didn't say anything.
"Solomon, are you ok?" Alicia asked concerned. Holden appeared in the living room, "That's... Oh my god Solomon. What the hell happened?" He asked seeing blood on the floor where he was standing. |
Solomon looked over to Alicia and Holden with a smile, "Oh I'm fine, this isn't my blood..well..most of it isn't." He sighed, looking to all of them, "Well, Hayden is making a comeback, but she had a lot of pent up aggression...but she's starting to figure things out. I'm hoping once Jaelynn and Kitra are finished wrestling her, we'll be able to continue." He flopped down into the chair with a heavy sigh, closing his eyes.
Serus stepped away from Solomon, "Look, if I would've known this was going to happen, I would've told you to just leave her be. I'm sure things will turn out fine before we make our move against the Romanians." |
"Don't get blood on my chair." Holden said with a sigh as Solomon sat down. He looked at his watch, "Solomon can you go and get cleaned up please. Alicia is going to go and get Alexander in twenty minutes." He said as he went to the kitchen to grab the hamburger and hotdogs. He went out to the patio and put the hotdogs and burgers on the grill. "You know you two can sit down right?" Holden said walking back to the kitchen.
Alicia followed Holden to the kitchen, "BMW keys please." She said holding out her hand. Holden put the keys in Alicia's hand. "Be careful." |
Solomon groaned, "Fine." He disappeared, the blood disappearing with him. He quickly took a shower and got into a fresh set of clothes, opting for a dark blue vest. After straightening his tie, he reappeared back at Holden's, "Better?"
Serus shook her head, "I'm content to stand." She smiled looking to Seth, "Unless you want to sit? Doesn't matter to me either way." |
"Much, even though I didn't mind you shirtless. But I think Alexander would be creeped out." Holden said with a smile. "That boy is as straight as Seth. Not saying that it is a bad thing." He said apologetically.
"I'm fine hun." Seth said kissing Serus' shoulder. "Its all good. I know you weren't insulting me." He said with a smile. "Do you two know anything about this human?" Seth asked pulling on his shirt. Alicia got in the car, she quickly pulled out of the driveway and headed to Alexanders house. |
Solomon shrugged, "Not really..he seems rather shy though. He's also really intelligent, so you have to be extra careful around him...I wouldn't be surprised if he's already suspicious."

Holden was going to say something but there was a knock at his door. "Excuse me." He said holding up his finger. He walked to the door and opened it, to see a almost bald man in a gray suit.
"Holden Evans?" The man said. "Yes?" Holden said. "This is for you." The man said handing a manila envelope to Holden and walking away. Holden grabbed the envelope and quickly opened it, "That fucking bitch." He said quickly putting the papers back in the envelope and turning around. He quickly shut the door, rolled the envelope and put it in his pocket. He walked back to Solomon, Seth, and Serus, "I um need to check on the food." He said in a low sad tone. Alicia felt a sadness come over her, "He just got the papers." She said putting her hand on her heart. |
Solomon frowned, excusing himself form Seth and Serus's company before heading over to Holden. He leaned on the wall next to Holden, watching him with his blue eyes, "Holden, what's wrong? And don't you lie to me or say it's nothing."
Serus blinked, curious. As she was about to move, she could already sense that Seth would grab her. With a sigh, she looked at him, "Aw, come ooonn...he can't just wave that tone around in my face then you expect me to not snoop." She frowned, looking away and sitting on the couch. She crossed her arms over her chest, her left leg over her right, and looked away in a pout, "Fine. I won't." |
"Its uh my aunt." Holden said holding back tears. "She is contesting my fathers will, and my custody of Amanda." He said not looking at Solomon. "It uh says that my fathers competence is being called into question. And so my um mental stability." He said as a tear fell down his cheek. "She wants to take Amanda away from me as well as my fathers entire estate." Holden said finally looking at Solomon.
"Serus, if they wanted you to know what was going on they would tell you." Seth said as he sat down next to her on the couch. "Now don't pout, you wouldn't like it if someone snooped on you." He said placing his hand on her knee. Alicia pulled up to Alexander's house, she took a deep breath as she got out of the car. She went up to the door and knocked. |
Solomon frowned, "I told you to let me take care of her Holden." He simply looked off to the floor, his hands going for his pockets like they often did when he began to plot.
Serus wrinkled her nose, "Yeah I know, but I like to snoop. It's fun~" She sighed, leaning back, "But I will leave him be..." After about five minutes or so Alexander finally answered the door. He jumped a bit, seeing it was Alicia, "Ah! Alicia! Just give me a few more minutes, then I'll be ready. Please come in." He stepped aside to let her in then shut the door behind her. He hurried off to one of the rooms on the left, shutting the door. He had to be careful to not let the light into the Dark Room[which had a clear label on the outside of the door..just in case]. He double checked everything over then snuck out after making sure the blackout curtains were secure. He grabbed his bag, looking to Alicia, "Alright, I'm ready." |
"Solomon, I will take care of this. You have done enough for me already." Holden said sounding a little sarcastic. "I didn't mean that the way it sounded. Just go and rest I need to get lunch off the grill." He said placing a short kiss on Solomon's cheek. He went to the grill and started to take the burgers and hotdogs off of the grill. He put a piece of tin foil over the plate and brought it inside. "Alicia do you remember Lisa?" Holden asked as he went to the dinning room.
Alicia walked in with a smile. "Ok, I'm just warning you now Holden is a little upset. Not in the mad way but the sad way." She said grabbing his arm. "Ya I do why?" She asked as she reached the car. "I just wanted to know." He said setting the plate down on the table. "Holden what are you gonna do?" She asked opening the door for Alexander. "Nothing." Holden said as he pushed Alicia's link from his head. He walked back into the living room, "I will be back shortly." Holden said as he disappeared. "Thank you hun." Seth said grabbing her hand and kissing it. Holden appeared in front of a small house somewhere in Ireland. He sighed and knocked on the door. A blonde hared woman with blue eyes opened up the door with a scowl, "What the fuck do you want?" She asked. "Ouch Lisa that hurts, you honestly don't remember me?" He asked crossing his arms. "Oh my god Holden!" She said grabbing him and giving him a hug. "I was just gonna say. How have you been sweety? How is Rachel?" He asked with a smile. "I've been good. Um me and Rachel broke up two years ago." She said looking down. "I'm sorry to hear that. Um not to sound pushy here but I need your expertise." He said with an evil smile. "Come now dear, what do you need?" Lisa said crossing her arms. "Could we possibly talk about this inside? I don't know how much time I have. Because I know my boyfriend is watching me." He said stepping forward. "Ahh I see so it is that kind of job. Come in." She said stepping out of the way. Holden walked into the quaint house, "No offense but you make so much money, why do you live in a little shack?" He said. "None taken, I just like to keep a low profile. So what ya need?" Lisa asked closing the door. Holden did a few hand movements. "I see." She said as she flipped a switch to block off the room from someone listening in. "Thanks sweety, now I need you to cut some cameras and alarms." Holden said as he sat down on the couch. "Who is it this time?" She asked as she sat down in a chair next to the couch. "My aunt. I'm sure you are aware but my parents died about two months ago. She is taking me to court to contest my father will, and to take Amanda away from me." He said crossing his legs. "I see. What do you plan on doing to her?" Lisa asked leaning on her knees. "Trust me I know what I'm doing." Holden said nonchalantly. |
Alexander sighed, pinching this bridge of his nose, "I'm not looking forward to dealing with him again. No offense to him or anything, but if every time I see him he's going to be upset about something, regardless of the severity, I'd rather not be anywhere near him at all."
Solomon narrowed his eyes slightly, Dammit Holden.. He rubbed his temples, closing his eyes while he thought. Holden was always going behind his back and trying to solve things himself. First his mother, and now his aunt. I told him to let me handle this. You can't just go around offing people. He walked into the living room with Seth and Serus, "How good are you at locating someone?" Serus shrugged, "Depends if I know the person at all..and from the looks of things in your mind, I do not, so ask Seth." |
"I understand Alexander. But I have a feeling he will be fine when we get there." Alicia said as she got into the car and started it. She drove off.
"I guess I can do this for you Holden. I will do it for free, because you saved my ass when I was in America." Lisa said with a sigh. "Thanks sweety, here is my aunts address. She should be back home in a few hours." Holden said scribbling her address down. "You welcome Holden." She said taking the paper and standing up. "I will see you tonight." He said standing up and giving her a hug. She nodded and waved when Holden went to the door. She went to her room to start packing. "If its a person in America I'm sure I can track them down." Seth said looking at Solomon. "Is this person human or a vampire?" He asked. When Holden was outside the door he teleported to his living room. He had a smile on his face, "Hey Solomon." He said walking to the kitchen. |
Solomon waved idly to Holden, making sure their conversation was blocked "Human, I believe, but she knows about vampires one of her associates is one...I didn't get a good whiff of her, though I'm 99% sure she's human. It's his aunt, she was here just a few moments ago-that's why he's upset. He wants to take of it his way, but I don't want him doing something he's going to regret. I just need her located, I will..'speak' to her once you do."
Serus kept the slight smile on her face, "Solomon if you're just going to kill her, why not have me do it? I've been inkling to kill from rage." "No..this needs to be dealt with carefully. Just let me handle it, I know what I'm doing." Serus let out a huff, looking away, "Fine." |
"Not to get sound like I'm telling you what to do but, you should let him do it his way. He needs to grow, and a way to grow is to have regrets, I know I do. Also a life without regrets would be boring. I'm sorry if I overstepped but it is just my opinion. Anyway I'll need a good twenty minutes. Since most of my contacts are in hiding." Seth said closing his eyes.
Holden was whistling while he was getting the rest of the food ready. He was in a really good mood compared to a few minutes ago. He wiped his hands and went back into the living room. He grabbed the empty glasses, still whistling the same tune. Holden went back into the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. |
"I'm just going to try and reason with her so Holden doesn't have to worry about dealing with the Courts. He's stressed out enough as it is, and I don't need her to add to it." He stood, heading to the kitchen, "Can I help with anything?"
Serus tilted her head as Seth spoke, "She's downtown right now...give me a few more seconds and I'll have her pinpointed. Ah, there she is. She's in the middle of her flight back home." She grinned sinisterly at Seth, "Slow poke." |
Holden stopped whistling when he heard Solomon, he quickly turned around with a smile. "Just keep on being sexy." He said as he grabbed a bowl full of chips. Holden walked to Solomon and rubbed his chest and went to the dinning room.
"Hey I'm tired ok." Seth said with a small frown. "Plus I don't know England that well." He said looking at Serus. "You know that's one thing I love about you, you always finish first." Seth said raising his eyebrow. Alicia pulled into the driveway, "Well everything looks fine so far." She thought to herself as she got out of the car. |
Alexander sighed as he got out of the car. He straightened his scarf and adjusted his glasses as he followed her inside. He paused a moment, seeing the extremely pale haired woman. That is not..normal.. He quickly shrugged off the thoughts and surprise, trying to ignore the fact her eyes looked more red than anything else.
Solomon grinned, swatting Holden's ass as he walked by, "You don't have to tell me twice. Ah! Alexander, hello." He turned with a smile placing his hands in his pockets, "I promise I'll behave today." Serus gave Seth an astonished look, "T-that's not for them to know! A-and it's not all the time..." She looked over as the human walked in, tilting her head, "I guess it's too late to manipulate my hair color...." She smiled a bit, "Hi there." |
Holden smiled when Solomon slapped his ass. He placed the bowl on the table and walked to the living room. He gave Alexander a smile, "It's nice to see you again." He said slightly bowing. He placed his finger in the air excusing himself. He walked up the stairs to his room to see Jason sitting on his bed watching TV. "Jason lunch is ready." He said leaning on the door frame.
"Ok daddy." Jason said turning the TV off and jumping off of the bed. He quickly ran down the stairs and ran to the dining room. "I'm sorry hun." Seth said with a smile as he turned to see Alexander. He stood up and extended his hand, "My name is Seth it is nice to meet you Alexander." He said with a smile. "It's ok, I'm sure. By the way your eyes are a tad red." Seth said looking at Serus. "Well that was easy." Holden said walking down the stairs. "Shall we eat? It kind of a cook out day." He said as he reached the bottom of the stairs. Alicia looked at Holden skeptical, "What did you do?" She asked. |
Serus frowned a bit, shooting Seth a glare, "I will make you pay..." She looked to Alexander with a smile, standing up and extending her hand, "My name is Serus, a pleasure~"
Alex shook both their hands, "Alexander, charmed. Ah, Serus..pardon if this seems..rude, but..why is your hair white? It's a very curious thing." He looked away a bit. Serus laughed, "Ah, don't worry about it, I'm used to it. Couldn't tel you myself, really; doctors have no idea. Something about some crazy gene stuff, so I don't worry about it. It's not big deal." She shrugged, "I gave up dying it too...big waste of money." She went into the kitchen to get some food. He nodded, "Oh..I see.." He decided to not call out the issue with her eyes, besides, there was a brown tint to them, so maybe the lighting was just weird. Yup. Solomon rubbed his hands together, "I'm starving." He winked at Holden. |
"I still love you hun." Seth said with a smile. "I love you hair hun." He said following Serus.
Holden looked at Solomon and mouthed "Stop." He quickly looked at Alexander, "Help your self to the food." He said holding out his hand down the hall. He walked outside to make sure the grill was off. Before he went back in he ran his hand through his hair. He quickly put on a smile and walked back into the house. "Holden you didn't answer me." Alicia said following Alexander to the dining room. |
Solomon chuckled, "You love it." He shot Alicia a galre, "Leave it be Alicia. I don't need you spoiling his mood..again. Got it?" He smiled, leading Alicia and Alexander into the kitchen, "I'll be down soon, I need to go check on Hayden." He smiled then went into the garage before teleporting.
Alexander tilted his head a bit, grabbing a burger, topping it with a few onions and lettuce. He grabbed some chips and baked beans before sitting down, "You really should look into cooking Holden, you're a natural." Serus smiled, kissing Seth on the cheek, "Love you too~" She just grabbed a small handful of chips, placing it on her plate and sitting down, "Don't be offended Holden, I ate awhile before we got here." |
" I do but not around Alexander. " Holden said walking to the kitchen. "Tell her I hope she is feeling better." He said leaning against the refrigerator waiting for everyone to grab some food. He smiled at Alexander, "Thanks, you should of tried my pancakes this morning." He said grabbing a plate.
Seth smiled as Serus kissed his cheek. He grabbed a plate and grabbed a handful of chips and a burger. Seth sat next to Serus. " Fine Solomon. " Alicia said grabbing a plate. She filled her plate and sat next to Alexander at the table. "I understand, and don't worry about it." Holden said with a smile as he sat at the table. |
Alexander gave Alicia a slightly concerned look, "Is something bothering you? You..have that face again." He plucked a chip from his plate and put it in his mouth as he watched her. He was never really a fan of potato chips, but if was eat this greasy food or starve. It wasn't that it was bad tasting, it was just bad for your health.

"Huh? Oh no nothings wrong, I just feel sorry that Amanda isn't here." Alicia said with a small frown. She grabbed a chip and put it in her mouth, "So Serus, and Seth how are you enjoying England? And the time away from the twins?" She asked trying to make idle conversation.
Seth smiled, "Its rather nice here, and getting away from the twins is a godsend. Plus Annemarie." He said with a shudder. "It sucks that we have to go back in a few hours." Seth said before he took a bite of his burger. "If you two wanna stay the night, feel free. And I can buy your plane tickets." Holden said with a wink. " Solomon when you get back I wanna talk to you please. " He said as he took a drink of his soda. |
Serus shook her head, "I do kind of miss the chaos though, and that won't be necessary. We purchased round trip tickets when we were in America." She frowned, chewing another chip slowly, "We really can't stay. I think Jaelynn's had enough of dealing with the twins. She chuckled a bit.
Alexander frowned a bit, but nodded, "If you say so." He finished off his plate, taking it to the sink and rinsing it off before loading it in the dishwasher. He sat back down at the table, feeling quite awkward around these people. There was something off about them and the more he thought about it, the more tense he became. |
"Ya poor Jaelynn. I think we should send her on a vacation." Seth said with a small chuckle. "Alexander whats wrong you look tense?" He asked with a concerned look on his face. He adjusted his eyes but made sure they looked normal. His aura was orange, "He knows something is up with us. He..." Seth trailed off as he got more into Alexanders complex aura.
"That's a shame Serus. But maybe next time you come back you can bring the twins and Annemarie." Holden said quickly turning his attention to Seth when he spoke. "I-..if she wants, Jaelynn can stay here." He said a little unnerved. Alicia got somewhat wide eyed when Seth spoke. |
Serus rolled her eyes, "I would never subject you two to the devastation of the twins. Don't worry you two, he won't figure it out. He's British..they're kind of..dense..."
Alexander placed his hand on Alicia's shoulder, "Alicia, are you sure you're alright? You look worried. I can understand if you don't want to say in front of them or you'd rather tell one of them over myself, but..I'm still concerned." He flinched a bit, feeling Seth's eyes on him. He tried to ignore it. |
"Well I guess thanks is in order then." Holden said with a small chuckle. " If you say so Serus. " He said as he grabbed his empty plate.
Jason felt uncomfortable, "Um did you guys know that it cost $34 million for the Royal Wedding?" He said. "You really need to stop watching the news Jason." Holden said with a smile as he grabbed Jason's plate. "If your done you can go watch TV." He said with a smile. Jason nodded and ran to the living room. "I'm fine Alexander." Alicia said giving him a reassuring smile. Seth stopped reading Alexander's aura and looked at Serus. He quickly scanned Holden's mind and saw that he didn't know Swedish. "Jag gillar inte denna människa, han vet om vampyrer. (I don't like this human, he knows of vampires.) " Seth said. |
Alexander gave them all a strange look, "If you say so Alicia." Now Alexander was not the straight forward type..not at all. He was very shy, but if it meant getting out of the company of these two strangers, he'd do whatever it took. He grabbed Alicia's hand as he stood, "Why don't you and I get away from these crazy people and spend some time alone? I'm sure you have a tv or something down in your room."
Serus chuckled a bit, "Oh~ Alex~ Your so forward~ You've barely known Alicia for two days now~" She couldn't help but laugh as he turned beat red. "Oh, hun, don't worry. I know that's not on your mind." She winked. "Nej nej Seth, han är helt enkelt lite mer benägna att tro det. "Serus it only took me and Solomon three days." Holden said with a smile. "Oh Alexander you can stay as long as you want." He said running his hand through his hair. "Anyway, Seth, Serus, wanna join me for a drink?" Holden said pointing upstairs.

He said in Romanian. Alicia nodded to Alexander as she stood up. "Nu vă faceţi griji Seth este nevoie de mai mult de două zile pentru mine să ştii cu cineva. (Don't worry Seth it takes more than two days for me to have you know with someone.)" She said as she led Alexander to her room. |
Alexander frowned a bit as they started to speak another language. He disliked feeling left out like that, but understood their need for privacy. He followed Alicia quietly, "I didn't know you dappled into other languages. What other languages do you know?"
Serus smiled a bit at Seth as they left, "Relaxaţi-vă Seth, totul va fi bine. In plus, daca el afla, putem-l omoare sau să-l rândul său, Alicia. "Sau şterge memoria lui. (Or wipe his memory.)" Holden said as he stood up. "I have many types of alcohol in my study." He said with a smile. "Ya Seth nu vă faceţi griji. Şi eu sunt sigur ca am alcool preferate. Eu am o mulţime de scotch vârstă, tatăl meu iubit. (Ya Seth don't worry. And I'm sure I have your favorite alcohol. I have a lot of aged scotch, my dad loved it.)" Holden said as he headed to his study.
"Ştiu SERUS e doar că ştiu că în câţiva ani, care se va fi fetele noastre. Plus atunci când am luptat Dragos şi Layla am expus înşine la om, nu vreau să fac asta din nou. (I know Serus it's just that I know in a few years that is gonna be our daughters. Plus when we fought Dragos and Layla we exposed ourselves to the humans, I don't wanna do that again.)" Seth said standing up. "Ah scotch is my favorite" He said grabbing Serus' hand. "I was forced to learn other languages by my father. I know German, French, and Spanish. That language was Romanian, I had to learn it because our house keeper was Romanian. Me and her had a deal, I taught her English and she taught me Romanian." Alicia said feeling bad lying to Alexander. "And my room is kind of messy, I have been busy and haven't had time to clean it." She said as she unlocked her door. "Holden offered me the basement, and he didn't know that there is a home theater down here, plus a fireplace." Alicia said as she led Alexander down the stairs. |
Alexander nodded, "Oh I see. I know German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Latin and I'm working on Korean out of boredom." He shrugged, staring with awe at her room, "Woooww this is..impressive." He chuckled a bit as she mentioned the 'mess', "It's not that bad, honestly. You should see my dark room. It's a disaster."
Serus shook her head at the offer of alcohol, "I will pass, but you and Seth feel free. I need to make sure Hayden hasn't dismembered Solomon..I haven't heard anything from him. I will see you guys soon, alright? If Alexander asks, I'm outside doing something." She gave Seth a kiss then disappeared. |
"I see, Holden knows Korean so maybe he can help you." Alicia said with a smile. "Thanks, its a big house so it needs a big basement." She said with a chuckle. "Maybe I will have to sometime. I just have my books down here, my father's are in Holden's study. He had a lot of occult books that are worth quite a bit of money." Alicia said sitting on the couch.
"Love you hun." Seth said with a small wave to Serus as she left. "Now about that scotch." He said rubbing his hands together. Holden smiled, "I have noticed that alcohol suppresses the cravings a bit." He said putting his arm around Seth's neck and teleporting to his study. "I always have the door locked." He said as he grabbed a bottle of scotch and two glasses. "Plus it dulls the anger." Seth said looking around Holden's study. "I'm also guessing you have your blood in that refrigerator." He said pointing to the mini fridge. "Ya, since Amanda doesn't know what we all are, I like to keep it as far away from her as possible." Holden said handing a glass to Seth. "Shall we toast?" Holden asked raising his glass. "Sure, to new friendships, and the fact that we can live forever." Seth said with a smile as he gently tapped Holden's glass. |
Alexander nodded, "Perhaps I'll have to ask him if I get stuck somewhere. You speak of your father in the past tense..did he pass away?" Instantly, his curiosity was peaked when she mentioned 'occult'. "Are you a believer in the myths-you know, vampires, demons and the likes?"

"Ya, him and my mother died in a car accident." Alicia said as she twiddled with her dress. "Yes I am, my father used to tell me bedtime stories about vampires, lycanthropes, witches, and demons." She said with a small smile. This of course was all lies, and she didn't like it one bit. "I find the stories about vampires the most interesting. What do you believe about vampires?" Alicia asked looking at Alexander.

"Hard to say really, without solid proof. Well, the sun issue is plausible, as it's prime for a vampire to hunt at night; and so the melanin-er the pigment of the skin-eventually decreases and they become extremely pale. Now, I don't think they burst into fire or anything, but they could get a wicked sunburn. I don't really think that Silver could affect them, it just doesn't really make sense to me. Holy water, maybe. Garlic..completely ineffective. They might not like the smell, but how would you if your sense of smell was 10x stronger than that of a bloodhound?" He shrugged a bit, "But like I said, it's hard to know if any of that is fact as vampires don't really exist."

Alicia found this all very funny because none of it was true. "I disagree with most of that Alexander." She said as she stood up and walked to her bookcase. She pushed a button on the side and a shelf flipped open. "Now this is one book of my fathers that Holden doesn't have." She said grabbing a metal box. She walked back to the couch and sat down. "This book is over 1,000 years old, and it is in the original Romanian." She said with a smile as she entered a code. She opened the box and grabbed out a huge book that was wrapped in a cloth. "Now this book is extremely rare, meaning that there is only two of these books." Alicia said as she carefully unwrapped it and gently blew on it. The cover read Vampir.

Alexander watched cautiously as she held the book, sitting next to her, "And what makes you think that the facts in this book are any more true than any other book? You can't prove that.."
