"Thanks..." Holden said as Solomon appeared. "Hi love." He said quickly turning to Solomon.
"Ok, now they are taken care of. Can you help me Jaelynn?" Seth asked as he turned around. "Little brats broke my arm and stabbed me." He said as he pulled on his arm to reset it. "Honestly! What is the point of having a front door, if everyone just appears in my damn house." Holden said throwing his hands up. He walked over to Solomon and reached in Solomon's back pocket grabbing his cigarettes. He pulled one out and light it, he put the pack in his pocket. |
Jaelynn sighed, pulling the knife from his arm, "Let me guess..Aria? Lexi doesn't seem like the 'I'm going to stab my father cause I'm mad' type." She looked back to Holden, "So who's the girl..Alicia was it?"
Solomon sighed, snacking the pack and the cigarette from Holden, "Not while Amanda's here..." Although, why let a perfectly good cigarette go to waste? With a shrug he took a drag, looking to Seth, "Do you know where I can find your wife? It's been quite a few hours since I last heard from her...I know she's capable but I'm a bit worried about her..I mean..Hayden can be quite the monster; as you know." Jaelynn looked to Solomon, "Hayden? What's Serus doing with Hayden? Isn't she under quarantine?" |
"Ya that damn child." Seth said with a wince as the knife was pulled out. "Honestly I don't know why my children carry around knives." He said as he looked to Holden.
"Ya Alicia, she is my best friend." Holden said with a whimper as the cigarette was taken from him. He grabbed it back, "Its my house, for christ sakes I sulked away hugging a bottle of wine." He said taking a long drag. "Ya she's at the council house in Wisconsin. Where our children are not." Seth said slightly relived. "Holden I'm ready to go to school." Amanda said walking down the stairs. "Who are these people?" She asked as she reached the bottom of the stairs. "Alicia is going to take you." He said quickly handing the cigarette to Solomon. "They are Miss Jaelynn, and Mr. Seth. I'm doing an interview with them to see which one one would be best to home school Jason." He said looking up at Jaelynn and Seth with apologetic eyes. "Alicia get up here." Holden said smiling at Amanda. Alicia teleported to the dinning room, she quickly walked out by Amanda. "Let's go Amanda, we don't wanna be late." Alicia said quickly rushing out to the BMW. |
Solomon scrunched his nose as Holden took it back, "But I spent my money on those.." With a sigh, he was pleased when it was handed back to him, taking another drag, "I knew you'd see it my way~ And once she's gone, it remains in my possession. Go buy your own, you're 21 you can do it." He looked to Jaelynn, "She was, until I decided I didn't like her being there. Serus is trying to see what she can do to help her."
Jaelynn nodded, "Ah, I see...she's rather powerful, Serus might have her h--" She disappeared for a few minutes then returned with a black eye, her arm bent in a direction it shouldn't be, and a large cut on her cheek, "Well..um..Serus says things are going well.." She blinked, healing her cheek and eye while she popped her arm back in place. Solomon stared for a moment, nearly dropping the cigarette, "W-what's going..on..?" He tried to think of what possibly happened, but couldn't even fathom. Jaelynn rolled her eyes, "Yeah..but don't worry, she's fine and so is Serus. She just found a few knives is all..and Serus..may have..umm..made a mistake?" She winced a bit, preparing to he swatted; as Solomon was known for that. Solomon pinched the bridge of his nose tightly, nearly breaking the cartilage. "What. Kind. Of..mistake?" Jaelynn twiddled her fingers, stepping away, "Well uuhh...she...accidentallymadeHaydenpossiblymoreagg ressiveandnearlypermantlycrazyagain?" She spoke so fast it almost seemed like she only said one really long word. Solomon twitched, but said nothing. I'm going to kill her... |
"Oh god." Holden said looking at Solomon. He sighed, "Well you guys have fun with that I will be back soon." He said as he started to transform into a white panther. When he was finished he ran out the open door. "Love you Solomon." Holden said as he jumped the fence.

Jaelynn quickly disappeared before Solomon could act.
Solomon looked to Seth, "I thought she said she knew what she was doing.." He sighed, taking a drag from the cigarette as he sat down, running his hand through his hair, "So how have things been in America? Council, wise that is?" He leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes. |
"She does, she just sometimes messes up." Seth said sitting down on the couch. "Pretty good, everyone is in a huff because of the Romanians. Even Felix has gone into hiding." He said rubbing his eyes. "I'm most likely gonna be the new head of the American council, when we take over the world council. Serus will control the world basically. I don't know about you but I find that a little scary." He said leaning back. "I just wanna get this mess over with." Seth said with a sigh.

Solomon tensed, "I don't think Serus should take command of the Head Council. Love her to death, I do, but sometimes I worry about the effect it's having on her mentality. I mean, look at your kids, they're a prime example." He quickly finished off the cigarette, stuffing the butt in the box so it was out of the way and not on the floor, "I'm not sure if she's thought about that, but if she were to move positions, not only would you guys have to move once more, the kids would have to adjust to a whole 'nother world basically--new language, new currency, new school. She should just leave Council all together and spend time with the Twins...before they end up like Hayden. N-not that I'm saying it's bound to happen, I just have a feeling with all this lack of discipline, they might not take the change so well."

"I agree Solomon." Seth said with a sigh. "I've told her that she should take a break, so has Kitra and Jaelynn. I have been off and on the council since the twins were born. I'm surprised people actually know me." He sighed running his hand through his hair. "It's most likely gonna happen that way Solomon. I have done all I can to discipline them, but they just don't stop. Poor Annemarie has been helping a lot as well. Plus she fucking goes against me at almost every turn." He said. "No offense but your more powerful then me and I'm more known. I just don't get it." Seth said throwing his hands in the air.
Holden appeared in his doorway, holding a few boxes and a bag. "That was fun." He said with a smile. |
Solomon chuckled, "It's because I keep my antics below the radar, Seth. Not to damage your already weakened pride, but it's a bit of your fault that humans were getting wind of our kind...after that stunt with Layla, but that's all done and in the past. It's a good thing humans believe anything they're told.." He sighed, "It's because of the Twins that Annemarie is acting that way; get them under control you get her back under control. Perhaps I can try to talk some sense into Serus once she returns with Hayden...but I know how stubborn that woman can be." He shook his head slightly as he looked over when Holden had returned, "What was fun?"

"My pride isn't weakened, its my spirit." Seth said with a deep sigh. "Don't forget that damn Azriel." He said as his eyes flashed red for a moment. "Ya good luck with that." Seth said turning to Holden.
"Japan." Holden said proudly. "I got you guys gifts." He said with a smile. "This is yours Seth." He said handing a box to Seth. "And this is for you love." He said reaching in the bag and grabbing a small box, and a medium sized box. He handed then to Solomon. "And I bought my own cigarettes. Plus a few other things." He said as he sat down next to Seth. "Well go ahead and open them." Holden said with a smile. Seth took the box and stared at it for a bit. He opened it and saw a beautiful katana. "Holden you didn't have to buy me this." Seth said as he pulled out the blade. |
Solomon tilted his head as he opened the box to see the watch, "Holden.." He put the watch on, simply because he know Holden would want him to. He flipped open the other box, curious as to why Holden got him a dagger and a watch. He had to admit, that was one fine dagger..but..he just didn't get it. Why was Holden always off spending money? "Thank you, they're wonderful~" He set the watch to the correct time and pushed in the pin, double checking to make sure it worked properly.

"Your welcome, I didn't know what your favorite weapon was so I got you a nice dagger. And the watch I thought it was cute." Holden said with a smile. "The katana Seth is because we sort of left the one you borrowed to me in Spain." He said as he set down the other box. He quickly opened up the box, and pulled out another katana. "And this beauty is mine, as well as a few other weapons that are on my person." He said with a smile. He grabbed a cigarette, and quickly light it. He pulled out a ashtray from the bag. "There." Holden said taking a long drag.
"You still didn't have to buy this for me. It doesn't matter, I have lost many katana's over the years." Seth said. |
"I knew it was a bad idea to train him," he said to Seth, blocking out Holden. "I should've never let you or Sean teach him...now he's only going to get himself hurt even more frequently." He looked off to the side silently exhaling a sigh, "Not only have many other of my traits rubbed off on you now you smoke...marvelous." His flat tone suggested displeasure while he closed his eyes pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I was just like him when I first turned. As long as his ribs don't break in almost every fight he's in, he should be fine Solomon." Seth said. "I will fully train him, maybe Jaelynn would be willing to help." He said with a non noticeable smile.
"I'll stop if you want me to." Holden said sensing Alicia. "Oh ya umm, bye." He said as he disappeared. "Damn it Holden!" Alicia said as she appeared. "You know You can't run from me." She said with a small snarl. |
Solomon glared at Alicia, "Apologize. I don't need you chasing him off just because you end up appearing. As for you, Seth, I will finish his training once this mess is over." He sighed, "When we make our move, he is to stay here, and you," he pointed to Alicia without looking at her, "will make sure of that."

"He didn't put gas in the car. So I ran out halfway to the school." Alicia said.
"Ok, I'm here if you want help. I should probably get back to help Serus." Seth said as he disappeared. "Oh I will keep him here." She said clenching her fists. "Why is daddy hiding in my room?" Jason asked as he walked down the stairs. "He wont be hiding for long." Alicia said as she disappeared. |
He nodded as they both disappeared, "Just you and me Jay..." He ran his fingers though his hair, watching the boy with dull gray eyes.

Jason walked over to Solomon, he looked at Solomon with purple eyes. "You need to sleep. Because you don't look so good." He said placing his hand on Solomon's arm. "I'm sure daddy wont mind if you took a nap in his bed." He said tugging on Solomon's arm.
"Holden!" Alicia said appearing in Jason's room. "I know your in here. Now why in the hell didn't you put gas in the car?" She asked crossing her arms. "Fine, I thought there would be enough gas until after Amanda was dropped off." Holden said crawling out from under the bed. "Well there wasn't. So I had to carry Amanda two fucking miles." She said glaring at Holden. "I'm sorry, ok? I'm sorry for fucking up your whole life." He said siting on the bed. "Holden you didn't fuck up my life, I did." She said with a sigh as she sat down next to him. "You have only made my life better, I mean aside from the fact that you got me written out of my parents will." She said with a sigh. "Ya about that, sorry again." He said laying back on the bed. "Have you thought about my offer?" Holden asked putting his hand over his eyes. "About you paying for me to go to school? I have, but I don't want you to pay for that. You have enough things to worry about." Alicia said. |
Solomon shrugged, "I'm not tired Jason, but thank you anyway." He let out a growl as he stood, puling his phone from his pocket and flipping it open, "What? Ah..Rita, sorry...I've been having one hell of a day. What can I do for you?" He was silent for a moment a slight frown on his face, "I see, yeah sure. You can bring them by later today, I'll be sure to let Jack know." He paused, pacing the room as he listened, "Not at all! I would love to help your students, really a pleasure. Less work for me and Jack yeah"" He laughed a bit, said good bye then flipped it shut and put it back in his pocket. He ran his hand through his hair, "This ought to be interesting."

Jason stepped back when Solomon growled. "Are the horses ok?" He asked walking up to Solomon. His stomach rumbled, he quickly put his hand on his stomach.
"I should probably go and make Jason some breakfast, I'm sure he's hungry." Holden said sitting up. He stood up, "Maybe you can invite Alexander over for lunch." He said with a smile. He teleported to the kitchen, and pulled out a pan. "You should." Alicia said standing up and straightening her skirt. "After last night he probably wont wanna." She said teleporting to her room. She grabbed her phone and dialed his number, "Here I go." Alicia said putting the phone to her ear. |
Solomon looked over, "Ah, yeah they're fine. Rita has some Veterinary students who need to do some job shadowing-doing the job supervised by a Vet-and she was wondering if I would allow her students to work with my horses. Plus, it'll give her a chance to make sure everyone's up to par with their health."
After a few rings, voicemail took over: 'Hi, sorry I missed your call. Please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I can. Thanks, bye.' Beeep. |
"Ok." Jason said with a smile. "Do you wanna watch TV with me? Daddy's in the kitchen and I don't wanna get in his way." He said looking up at Solomon.
"Oh um, Hi Alexander it's me Alicia. I was wondering if you wanted to come over for lunch. Everything is fine, again I'm sorry about last night. When you can give me a call back, bye." Alicia said closing her phone. "Well I should probably shower now." She said as she placed her phone on the coffee table, and went to her bathroom. |
Not even two seconds later, Alicia's phone began to buzz. Gaahh..pick up.. Alexander fidgeted. He couldn't believe he missed her call. Damn phone..going on silent.
Solomon shook his head, "No thanks Jason..." He sat back down, leaning back in the chair, "Not much of a tv fan." |
Alicia's phone buzzed off the coffee table and landed on the floor, her voicemail picked up after a few more rings: 'Hello you have reached Alicia's voicemail. I'm sorry that I missed your call, unless I don't wanna talk to you *giggle*. I'm just kidding, I'm probably in the shower. So leave a message after the tone and I will get back to you.' *Beep*
"Are you sure? I like to watch the news, there is a lot of interesting things going on." Jason said as he sat on the couch. He turned the TV on and went to the news channel, he turned it down quite a bit so it wouldn't bother Solomon. Holden walked into the living room with a TV tray and a plate. He set it up in front of Jason, "Now don't make a mess." He said with a smile as he went back to the kitchen. He came back quickly with a glass of OJ and a cup of coffee. He set the OJ on the TV tray and walked over to Solomon, "I made you some coffee, black just how you like it." Holden said with a smile, holding the cup out to Solomon. |
Solomon snatched the coffee, taking a long sniff, "Aaahhh, marvelous~" He took a sip and let out a contented sigh, "You make a good coffee."
Alexander cursed silently as her voicemail picked up, "Ah, hi Alicia, it's Alexander. Sorry I missed your call, somehow my phone ringer go to silent. A-anyway, I would be happy to join you for lunch. O-oh a-and don't worry about the other night, it's fine, really. Call me back when you can. Bye" He flipped it closed, rather disturbed to discover the entire time he couldn't help but picture her in the shower. Why'd she put that in her voicemail message anyway? He sighed, "I wonder what crazy shenanigans will happen today." |
"I knew you would like it." Holden said with a smile. "Freshly ground coffee, a tad bit of salt, and a dash of cinnamon. Around Christmas I also put a dash of nutmeg, all in a French Press, did you know that here its called a cafetiere?" Holden said as he went back to the kitchen to grab his tea. He came back and sat next to Jason, he crossed his legs and took a sip of his tea. Holden smiled as he closed his eyes.
Alicia walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her. She sighed seeing her phone on the floor. She picked it up and saw that she missed Alexander. She hit redial and put the phone to her ear. |
Almost instantly Alexander answered, "A-Alicia! I'm sooo sorry I missed your call. What time could I expect you to pick me up?"
Solomon smiled slightly, "I generally prefer just the coffee, without all the fluff in it, but this isn't half bad." He set to cup down on the end table with a slight smile. |
Alicia jumped a bit when Alexander answered, "It's ok Alexander, I'm sorry I missed your call right back." She said with a giggle. "Around 11:30 ok?" She asked as she picked out her clothes.
"Thank you love, and next time I make you coffee I will just make it plain." Holden said with a smile. He took a sip of his tea, and sighed contently. "It's nice to have a quiet morning." He said opening his eyes and looking at Jason. "How are the pancakes?" Holden asked. "They are very good daddy, I especially like that they taste chocolaty. I thought you said you weren't a good cook?" Jason asked looking to Holden. "I'm not as good as Anne, when I lived in America my parent's chef taught me a lot of things. But then she was fired." Holden said with a sigh. "Why was she fired?" Jason asked taking a bite of pancake. "My parents found out that she was a illegal immigrant." Holden said taking another sip of tea. |
"I guess we're even then?" He chuckled a bit.
Solomon smiled, "Which ever way you want to make it my dear. If you like to cook, I can have Anne teach you a few things if you'd like? You're rather good at it. She'd love to have something to do as well Im sure." Jaelynn appeared face first on the floor, her clothes torn, barely covering her where necessary as she tried to crawl to her feet, "S-Solo--" She was dragged back halfway through her portal, "..help" She blinked and as Hayden's tiny fingers wrapped around her and pulled her back. Solomon stared a moment, as if he was about to turn to dust. "Uuh..I have..to..go?" He poked the air where her portal was, his finger disappearing through it. He yelled out and pulled his finger back. "Gah! Oh my god!" He stared as he noticed the tip of his finger was missing, "I..think Serus..needs my help.." He quickly disappeared. |
"Ya I guess so." Alicia said with a smile. "Damn dresser drawer." She said pulling on it. It suddenly flew open hitting her in the chest. "Ow my boob. Damn it I just dropped my towel." She sighed not attempting to pick it up. "I should probably go, it looks like my furniture is hating me today. I will see you at about 11:30, ok?" She said as she made a kissing noise. She hung up after a few seconds. Alicia sighed as she sat in her chair naked.
"Well I do have a whole bunch of time. Maybe I can ask her later." Holden said with a smile. "Have fun. Love you..." He said as Solomon disappeared. Holden grabbed the remote and turned up the TV. |
Alexander stared at his phone after she hung up. W-what? His face became beat red as he shuffled from the room and out onto the balcony. What have I gotten myself into?
*** After about a half hour, Solomon reappeared in total disarray. His hair was all over the place, a few sections actually bald, scratches here and there that were healing, and he held the tip of his decapitated finger in his hand while he reattached it, "Well..umm..we won't be seeing Hayden for quite some time..soo..yeah.." Serus suddenly appeared, tackling Solomon to the ground, "Get me out of there! You take care of her! She's your stupid sister!" She threw Solomon back into the portal, closing it before he could protest. She smoothed out her dress, fixed her hat, then looked to Jason and Holden with a smile, "Mornin boys~" |
"Ok..." Holden said turning to Solomon. "Morning, want some coffee or tea? I also have some blood if you'd like." Holden said placing his empty cup on the coffee table.
"Holden? Do you think that this looks..." Alicia said as she trailed off seeing Serus. "Y-..your Serus An-..Antinori." She said shocked. "Ya it's cute. I'm sure Alexander will like it." Holden said with a sigh when he saw Alicia go into freak out mode. He stood up and walked over to her, "You really need to learn how to pick out a bra." He said reaching into her shirt and pulling the straps to pull 'the girls' up. He pulled out a few safety pins from his pocket and pinned the excess straps. "There now you don't look like an old lady." Holden said looking back at Serus. |
Serus shook her head, "Ah, no thanks..I'm used to being mauled so I've learned power saving ways to heal. Wow, look-it me, I sound like a manufacturer!" She stared a bit as Alicia began to panic, "I have fans? Sweet~" She smiled a bit at Alicia, "Pleasure to meet you Alicia~" She held out her hand, giving Holden a strange look, "You're lucky your gay...no sane man would go and do that so blatantly."

"Ya, you should of seen her when she saw Jaelynn and Seth." Holden said with a laugh. "Well she needs my help to land her man. And she has stuck her hand down my pants to tuck in my shirt a few times." He said as he looked at Jason who was wide eyed. "Watch the TV Jason." He said pointing to the TV. He sighed, "Well at least it worked." Holden said running his hand through his hair.
Alicia was astounded at seeing Serus. She grabbed Serus' hand and shook it. She didn't even notice Holden stuck his hand in her shirt. She snapped out of it, and slapped Holden in the back of the head. "Stop think about that guy I dated who did the same thing you just did. He was a jerk he only went out with me to get to you." She said narrowing her eyes. "Hey now its not my fault that there is so many closet gays in Connecticut." He said rubbing his head. "And also stop hitting me." He said with a growl. He quickly composed himself and looked at Serus, "You sure you don't want some coffee or tea? I also have some leftover chocolate pancakes." Holden said with a smile. |
Serus backed away slightly, "No..I'm fine.." She half swatted both of them upside their heads, "Knock it off you two. Jeez, you're almost like my damn kids. Bicker bicker bicker." She put her hands in her pockets, wincing a bit, "Wow..Hayden's quite resourceful...I almost feel bad for leaving the three of them to handle her." She laughed a bit, a dark grin on her face.

"We don't always bicker." Holden said rubbing his head. "What do you want me to make for lunch?" He asked looking at his watch.
"Um how about hamburgers and hotdogs?" Alicia said. Suddenly Seth appeared face down on the floor, "God Hayden is a spitfire. She is worse then the twins." He said as he stood up weakly. "Hey hun." Seth said kissing Serus on the cheek. He pushed his ribs, to reset them. He had a gash down his arm, he quickly healed it up, and looked at Holden. "Well at least your having a nice morning." Seth said slightly sarcastic. Holden rubbed his temples, "There is a front door you know." He said grinding his teeth. "Hey don't get snippy with me, this is my house." He said with a sigh. "Jason can you go and take your dishes to the sink please?" Holden asked. "Sure daddy." Jason said picking up his plate and glass. |
Serus laughed a bit, "Relax Holden, we'll use the door eventally. For now, we wont,." She gave Seth a quick kiss, keeping her arm around his waist, "Cooking out are we? Well that sounds like fun~ Is Hayden getting control at all or doesn't look like it? She seemed to be making a bit of progress when I left."

Holden sighed, "If you want to join us, you can." He said as he went to the patio door. He started the gas grill and went back inside, "I feel bad for Amanda, she's in school, and we are doing all of this fun stuff." He said crossing his arms. "Want something to drink Seth?" Holden asked.
"She hasn't made much more progress since you left." Seth said putting his arm around Serus' waist. "Naw I'm good, should we join them hun?" He asked not wanting to go back to Hayden. "Crap, um I'll be right back. I need to go and get my BMW before it gets towed. You two can stay as long as you want." Holden said as he disappeared. |
Serus pondered a moment, then nodded "I suppose we could dstay for a moment. It couldn't hurt yeah?" She could sense Seths unwillingness to go back, "I should go help Solomon...I feel bad for just leaving him."
Solomon appeared just then, his eyes a bright ice blue? "Serus Marie Antinori! What the hell did you do to Hayden?!" His shirt was missing and his pants wwere no where near savable. The many broken bones, cuts and bruises started to heal as he stared her down. Serus jumped "I-I tried to remove her aggression...b-but I guess it amplified it again. She's settling down though, I can sense is so once her built up aggression is taken care of we can make some real progress." |
