Hey Batts? Can we make a set with multiple tops and bottoms? Like recolours or different patterns for example? I've got something of an idea. Unfortunately, I'm no fasion designer so I'm not sure how it will come out.
And does the 15 limit include items for both sexes? (I'm pretty sure I could work a dapper waist coat in here. ;)) |
Well, generally, the items that are made on female bases are just unisexed for the males. But if you've got a set in mind, I would personally consider it as one entry. Multiple designs can be drawn on the side, or something, as a suggestion, perhaps? But the 15 item limit does indeed go for both male and female. =]
So if you wanted to do a female set, that would be 15. Same for if you wanted to do a male. As long as its within the same set theme for that one entry, I'll count it as such. |
Kk.l Still rolling things around in my head (some of these tales are down right wierd) but some things are starting to take shape.). Wishing a little that I was a fashion designer!
|
*Bangs head on wall*
I just can't make anything anymore... Watching fen make items altered how I used to make them now I forgot how I did it before! X.X..... I can't even make a vest! A VEST! X.X... |
No one is saying you have to actually pixel things.

/leaves a big heap of lovins on thread/

*Grabs a wad to attempt to make into magical pigments of artistry +2*

FEN'S DESTROYED ILLUSION?
No freaking way. |
o.0 destroyed illu like something dirty destroys espys brain?
|
I wonder if MSpaint can be used? Difficult as it may be...
|
That what I did the past few times I tried something in an item contest. I've seen some brilliant stuff done with paint, but I think it requires about the same level of patience as pointalism does.
|
i do believe Batty is accepting any medium o.0 not sure if it can be typed though, i think there has to be some form of visual there.
|
MS paint can definitely be used.
Any medium is acceptable. |
Alright, I will try with the best of my ability without a mousepad LOL. Currently using my leg for a mouse pad. Works better than the spiral notebook my mom has been using.
|
xDD!! I used to do that all the time, when I had a mouse.
Good luck, Gingy! <33 Gyaahh, waiting for all these submissions is killing me slowly. xD; |
Thanks, Batterz! <333
My hand is all sweaty and my fingers are already sore o.o' But I'm kinda liking how it's turning out! |
I use my leg or the arm of the couch. Alas, it's not as precise as I would like it. I'm getting indecisive again. >.<
EDIT: I think I'm going to steal a pose from my Manhwa book and try drawing stuff on top of it. |
Industrial Gothic Entry #1 (Currently modifying for the Industrial Angelic for this same set)
My first pixel session on Paint. Please be kind lol.. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...s5complete.png edit; Here is the Industrial Angelic version that goes with the set. The wings are also to be included in the Industrial Gothic outfit except in that maroon color I used. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...eteangelic.png |
I think I might actually attempt to make something this time ...
It'll give me something to do in school. xD |
I'm impressed with anyone who works with MS paint. That thing really takes some wicked skill.
|
Awesome entry, Ginger! <33
|
Thanks! <33
I think it is rather generic myself. I feel that I could have done a better job with originality but I definitely needed sleep. Am I allowed to enter another set for this theme? My brain isn't quite comprehending what I'm reading in the Rules D: edit; Okay, I think I got it down now xD I'll be working on the other set for the same theme later today, assuming if I'm feeling up to it. |
You can enter twice per theme. =D
|
i think i'm going to force myself to enter this contest. but the question is, should i pixel my ideas onto an avatar, or should i just doodle them? >.< also, do i have to use the trisphee base? |

I can't stand this anymore... *flips a desk over*
Photoshop = Crap Gimp = Better then photoshop times 10 x.x... I need a tablet.. |
You don't have to use a trisphee base, or pixel, like Illusion said.
You can just doodle things out, as long as its visual. And Illusion, they don't generally win, because, its not that its hard to visualize what it is, we'd just much rather prefer it if we had something to go off of, so we can have a more accurate result when it comes to making the item. |
Darn! Ginger beat me to it! Oh well. Let me get my camera organized here. My brother is in absentia so that means I can't work the scanner. (Actually, I know how to work a scanner, just not the near-sentient thing that he's got). A photo shall have to do.
|
A photo will do!
I can't wait to see what you've got, Quiet! |
Voila!
...sort of (I'm not great at drawing people, and missed the class on drawing body proportions. Damn). I confess! I did this solely so that I could have the swans. ;). Look is based on Grimms' fairy tale "The Seven Swans" (or six, depending on who you ask), along with the star/night/sun dress theme that shows up in a couple fairy tales. Same with the red shoes. I like bright colours with a fairy tale, hence the blue/yellow/red thing. List as follows: 1. Swans in front of the avatar by the feet (guy on the right looks a little funny because I was playing with wing poses). 2. Swan flock behind the avatar. 3. Swan wing in place of right arm (should be left) 4. Star top (basic wide neck shirt with black halter. Hanging stars from collar). 5. Belt with hanging stars, removable. 6. Navy blue dress (starry night thing) with hanging stars, drawn empire waist or with removable belt. Either way. Fabric coming through slit is sun/daytime themed and primary yellow. 7. Tiara with cliche swan necks making heart (I know! Don't bug me :p) 8. Bright, primary red sparkley Dorothy shoes! 9. Layered mantle of many different kinds of fur with sun clasp. Edit: forgot. The halter strap around the neck is black to match the black detail at the base of a swan's beak, and I put little ties on the dress shoulders for fun. |
Whoaa! Thats awesome, Quiet!
Adding it to the entries list! <333 <.<;; I love that freaking top. |
I was going to do the 7 swans! D=
I even have the dress... *Flips desk over* I want to do something no one else did yet... Maybe the shoe elves might be my best bet >.> |
I was going to add, for the guys, a starry night looking Waist-coat with gold chain holding the lapels together, along with some starry slacks, but that didn't happen. I suppose I could scribble them up their since the item limit hasn't been hit yet. *Shrug*
|
Not done with my Ind. Gothic entry yet. Looks a bit more futuristic than Industrial, though.
|
You can have two, enter a 7 swans anyway!
|
I'm pondering another entry, either the industrial thing or the leather and lace. It might end up being leather and lace, though neither of the three other categories are up my alley. Tempted to do another Grimm one. Make myself draw more!
|
xD You can still do it, Illusion.
-sits on flipped over desk- |
Actually, I have no idea what the crap I was doing when I drew my designs out. I highly doubt I was thinking.
|
ME SEE ME SEE ME SEE? =O
|
I'm still contemplating the Musicians of Bremen but I'm not sure I can manage pulling it off without it looking like a piecemeal Halloween costume.
