Mizuki thought on that. The oldest age was 90...that was really young to him if some one of his people died at that age it was do to sickness that attacked the young and weak. Though there was alot of things that could make the age of some one expand. The thought of Alton parishing at a young age tugged at his heart a little and he did not know why. Shaking it off he sighed a little.

"Like I have said...age is just a number" He stated. Mizuki wanted to believe that the male beside him would grow and change letting him see the long life that so many have before him though at that moment it was just wishfull thinking.

"That it is.. eh what was the saying.. only as old as you feel?" He shrugged he thought it was something else along those lines but still. "Oh well." He said before shrugging a little. "what happens happens.. can't prevent it." He seemed about as worried about death due to age as if it were rain. Though he saw himself dying long before he got near a age of dying from old age..

He didn't seem too worried about it at all, it was a number, if anything he could fall over tomorrow if this great mother had her use of him and he was no longer needed. Or so it seemed like that could happen anyway. Though not before he found out why the prince was out here for 40 years... that bothered him, what could have happened to make him be out here.

Mizuki nodded his head at that "Everything happens for a reason and the great mothers plan is there to help" He said slightly. Mizuki was a great believer of things like that. After a moment or two Mizuki stood and walked over to a large purple flower reaching his hands inside of it he began to wash the blood off of his hands and face with the collected rainwater that was inside the massive thing.

After a moment he stepped back not minding the cool water slide down his chest and face. He made no attempt at whiping it off before walking over to the strug up strips of meat "Since your so keen to help grab some and fallow me" He said grabbing as much as he could carry before walking off. He made sure the other fallowed before he went to far.

Heading past the garden he reached a small building. Placiung the meat inside he took Altons from him as well and did the same. Mizuki then lit a fire to the wood chips below and as they all lit aflame he blew them out causing the hot embers and smoke to rise. Covering the meat he turned and headed back to the hallow with out a word.

He wasn't sure the great mother had much of a plan if he was needed for it.. but then again what did he know? Though the flower that Mizuki walked to reminded him of one back on Earth. Tough they were only found in the rainforests. so many things were similar here.. yet not. It was going to take a while to adjust.. well if he had to stay that long.

He nodded a little at the others words, about time he remembered he wasn't a damn cripple. Though he kept his words to himself as he did as he was told and followed Mizuki to where ever he needed to take the meat. Though he could have guessed what he was planning to do with the meat. This was only confirmed when they got to where he took the meat and did what he needed to at the little building.

He was expecting the other at least to take a bath, though maybe not. Who knows the blood of such a creature might keep others at bay. He wouldn't question what the other did. Not after the conversation earlier. It was almost strange to think he was 240 years ol.. yet he looked close to his own age. Not that it mattered if he lived to be in his 30's here that'd be a bloody god send.

Time after that flew by. The archery went well and Alton adapted to everything that was around him. Now Alton hunted as well as it has been six months down the road. The two in that time seemed to open up more and now are free with one another. Holding conversations about anything and everything they never had a real moment of silence. Its not like Mizuki minded though.

That is what Mizuki thought about before his mind was drawen back to him. It seemed as though he lost thought in the fire before him waiting for Alton. Now the male sat before him with a meal almost cooked "So...whats on the menue or mighty chef?" He asked in a cocky tone. Over the time Mizuki and Alton seemed to grow an interesting relationship. Harsh quips and sharp replies were not uncommon between them.

He seemed unimpressed by the remark of mighty chef. "You ask that knowing what was caught today?" He shook his head a little with a slight laugh. "I dunno you can say your young but I think over the years your brain pickled a little." Yep comments back and forth were rather common placed indeed. Then again how else were two males suppose to get along when they were in the middle of what seemed to be no where.

For a while Alton thought he was going to go mad if Miuki didn't talk more and stopped being so mysterious about everything. Though in due time that seemed to fade as the other grew use to having company around. He was thankful for that, at least now he felt useful. Though in truth he could have probably left Mizuki a few months back. But why ruin good company when you had it in the middle of a forest..

"Also I thought we agreed to not pick on the cook? I'm already bad enough at this without distractions." It was true enough, the one talent that avoided him was cooking.. though over a fire like this he managed half well. Though back on Earth.. he had tons of take out and frozen dinners.

Mizuki gave a little laugh at that his tail thrashing to his side in mirth "Hey now your not that bad" He said to him "Well I mean that one time where you almost burned the hallow down..." He said placing a finger to his chin to make it seem like he was thinking harder then he really was "Or that other time....the hallow still smells of smoke"

Though with that Mizuki stopped his teasing as the other male seemed to throw something at him. Dodging with ease he laughed at the sour scowl on Altons face and the huff the other seemed to give "But other then that your good..." He said with a nod of his head.

This banter went on for a little while until they were eating the same as they did every other night. Them sitting across from each other a small fire between them and silence for the most part. This is when Mizuki began to speak up "Alton..." He said catching the males attention 'What dose your home look like?" It was a question that had been on Mizukis mind for a while and deciding now was the best time he asked "I mean the trees do they grow tall there to?"

"Did you have to remind me?" Though to be honest he had stopped cooking back home because he nearly burned the house down back then. Though back then .. someone else was around to do the cooking while he worked. Not that it was any good to think about such things now. Though the other seemed to still be poking fun so he took a small object near him and tossed it casually at the other knowing he'd avoid it.

"Your just saying that." He said before going back to adjusting the meat so it would cook properly, or at least so he could try to cook it without burning it.. this time. Though he was getting better at this at the least, out of all the things this and some of the places Mizuki dragged him two gave him the most challenge.

Though after a while he did manage to finish the food, only a little was cooked a bit too much but still better then some of the past 'experiments'. Though the question Mizuki asked caught him off guard a little. He seemed to stop doing anything for a short while before answering him. "Some places has trees like here.. though... humans have more or less destroyed the world." He noticed the other seemed to question this.

"Theres not too many areas left where trees are this old, most don't think twice about cutting them down to build homes or whatever else they need out of them. Also the world isn't green like this one, most places are built up and has vast populations of humans crammed on top of one another." He looked down a little, why did he want to go back really. "We'll just say it's not a pretty site anymore.. if your lucky you might find a few areas with clear water still .. heh" Wow that was almost sad the more he went on about it, no wonder humans were trying to take over this place.. but they'd turn and do the same thing here.

Mizuki listened intently as the other male before him spoke. "Humans have killed their great mother..." It was not a question but rather a noticing statement. Mizuki did not understand this. Why would anyone want to cause harm to the great mother let alone to the point that they could not heal or replenish her. This thought made Mizuki sad and he bowed his head his ears hiding back into his hair as his tail for once laid across his lap deadly still. Mizuki silently sent out a prayer for Altons world.

After that was over Mizuki looked up to Alton and gave a little tilt of his head thinking back to the words the male had given short moments ago "No trees...little water how dose one live unless unseemingly stuck in cage with no escape?" He asked Alton. Mizuki was unsure as to why humans would destroy something was there for the reason of life.

He nodded a little weakly, hearing someone else say it made it all the more noticeable. "Others have said that on our world yes.. most humans don't give a damn." He spit out the next words seemingly a little annoyed. "Granted I didn't do everything I should have either but the world was fucked long before I was even born on it." The humans had been looking into traveling into space and teraforming planets or moons if at all possible. Though all efforts failed, probably some higher force telling them they were to die off.

"There's protected areas now.. though more or less in certain sections of the world you pay a fee to get air, rather clean air that isn't polluted." Over all a effort far too late to make a change. "Half of the animals we have to keep in reserves or in special buildings just to make sure they don't die off." He nearly laughed thinking about how fucked the earth was in the near future. "Hell truth be told I don't see humans lasting more then another 100 years as a species.

He noticed the look the other gave him. "We need at least basics to live.. we're poisoned the air and water took away the things to clean them and pretty much pray that theres enough food, rather unprocessed food." Processed food had gotten worse over the years. "Ah but none of this matters to the damn big end people, oh no they have wades of money they can buy whatever they please."

Mizuki sat there and listened to what Alton had to say but the more the other male continued the more that Mizuki almost wanted him to stop. It was a sad thing to hear that the people called humans ruined their mother slowly killing her. Soon there will be nothing left and what is left of the humans will die off leaving only a destructive mark in this world.

Mizuki shook his head "To love something so little..." He said his tail thrashing about to his side with emotion "So in the end their great mother has forsaken them all because she herself had been forsaken" He said lookiung into the fire before them.

Mizuki couldnt picture a world with out the trees and animals that sorrounded him. It was madness to him. "So...is that why you came here?" Mizuki asked tilting his head as he once again looked to Alton "Did you come here for a fresh start....a new begining?" He asked a little "Or did you come here in hopes to correct something you have wronged and become stronger?"

"Probably... she'd be doing the planet a favor if she let the human race die off." He almost had to laugh at his own words, he pretty much just said he wouldn't blame a higher being if the humans died off. His own race... Not that he could say that now, let alone the fact that he was betrayed by his own. The main reason he was even here.

Though when the other seemed to speak up as to why Alton was even here he shot him a bit of a glance before sighing heavily. "I came here because I had no choice. I was doing my job like any other day." He noticed Mizuki seemed to be confused by this so he stopped and tried to think how to explain this. "More or less there are some humans who have more powers then others.. we'll just say that thanks to them I ended up being a test subject for whatever experiment they were trying to pull off here."

He still didn't expect the other to still understand, but that didn't matter really. If Mizuki didn't understand the other could ask. "Not saying I didn't have my troubles back there... but at least I knew what was going on from day to day." He sighed a little thinking over it. He really didn't have a say in this, but talking about it he half thought he didn't want to go back if he had the chance.

Mizuki hummed a little in thought before he replied "Everyone has a choice" He said slightly "Its just the choices are hard to make alone. They stay that way till some one or something sways you towards one over the others" Mizuki said looking down at his hands "You could of said no to the work" Mizuki began "I also could have let that plant eat you or that beast as well" He said.

Looking up Mizuki gave a little smile "Im just your sway towards the choice that was hard to make" When Mizuki was asked what choice he gave a little smile his eyes growing soft and his ears bent back "The choice of continuing" Was all he said before he changed his gaze back to the fire "We all have the choice..." He said this time to himself.

He couldn't really say anything, what the other said was true enough. He did have a choice, he could have said no to that job. Though something told him that it would have done little to no good to refuse it. Maybe he could have watched his step better or done things slightly different. It was all a bit late to think about the what if and everything that he could have done now though.

He laughed weakly when he brought up the plant again. "I think you would have done us both a favor if you did let it eat me." He shrugged a little. Ok maybe it was a lie, the other seemed to .. well by now enjoy what company he had. Even if it did take a long while to get to the point where they were talking like this. At the least Alton didn't feel like he was useless as he was back when they first crossed paths.

"thats true.." He muttered a little when the other seemed to answer his question of what choice. Would he have continued without Mizuki being here to help? No he would have been dead ages ago, even now at least he somewhat looked forward to each day. Things that were somewhat considered to be a normal life, he might have a choice but he still needed to accept that he was to stay here.

Mizuki gave a nod before blinking his eyes slightly and turning his gaze a little from the flame before him "Either way the choices we make is what was suppose to happen...even if we dont like the outcome" He said with a nod of his head. Mizuki believed that most of all. For he had made choices that lead him to this place and even though he didnt like his banishement he lived with it everyday.

Though the more Mizuki thought of it now the more things began to tie together. If he hadent made the choices he did he would still be back in the tribe...but if he was back there the chances of him meeting Alton would be slim to none "...Everything happens for a reason..." He said more to himself as he began to realize the great mothers plan all the more.

He nodded agreeing with the other. That was true enough, he had enough outcomes backfire in his face to know that all too well. A number of them he wanted to take back but couldn't. Though he never said a word on them, the other already couldn't see why his kind destroyed the planet they had. Hell truth of it Alton had no idea why humans destroyed everything they touched. He couldn't say he was free of this said sin, but least it wasn't something he commonly did.

"Heh.." he laughed weakly as Mizuki spoke again. "Someone I knew use to say that back home. Sh.. she believed in that saying" He seemed to leave it at that before standing to walk away from where he had been sitting. She did go by that saying, even if the reasons were not always good... everything happened for a reason that may be unknown to us.

"what about you?" He finally turned towards the other and asked his question. "I told you about my sorry excuse for a home, but you've never told me or hinted as to why your out here." He seemed to pause as the other fell silent on him. "You don't have to, curiosity finally got the better of me."

Mizuki listened to Alton as he spoke though when he returned the question Mizuki fell silent. Why was he out here...Mizuki knew that answer but at the same time didnt "Its...a long story..." He began softly looking at his hands "A long time ago I was respected within my tribe" He said "I had students, family...I was content as the kings son" He said slightly with a sigh.

"One day...a human was found just out side of the camp" Mizuki began "It was I that captured him and took him to my father" He said slightly "Though my father saw him not as I did...a threat" Mizuki said his gaze going a little blank. "I wanted to kill the stranger, set an example" He said lightly "The cheif didnt approve".

This is where Mizuki grew silent for a moment before he took a deep shakey breath "That night I went to take the life I was ment to take" He said "Though instead....one was forfited in his place because I was blinded by thoughts" Mizuki explained softly before bringing his knees up to his chest. "The king was so shocked at my actions he banished me in exile with a riddle...and until I understand that riddle I can not return"

Mizuki sat there for a moment as the hallow was silent. Naturally it was who could say something to that "Hearts are weak when standing alone, Combine one with two you get a throne. Onto you, you must seek, The thing that makes you weak" Mizuki said slightly "Fourty one seasons and the meaning still escapes me..."

He stayed quiet as the other spoke. It wasn't a story he was expecting. Maybe that he just liked being alone or something but not to be banished from his own people. Even after the story was over with he didn't say anything at first. His complaints from before were almost nothing compared to being disowned by your own father.

Though he never knew his father so he wouldn't really know of that whole male bonding or father son bonding ordeal either. Walking back to where he was sitting before he looked at the other before speaking. "I .. didn't mean you had to tell me, I just remembered back when you first saved me you said you were the prince. I never questioned why you were out here alone."

He felt like a bit of a ass for asking him now, probably bringing up memories the other didn't want to remember. "You'll figure it out though someday." He finally spoke up and said to the other. "Personally I'm not good with riddles but your smarter then I am." He shrugged a little. "Then you'll be able to go back home."

Mizuki shrugged his shoulders a little still remaining silent for a little while until he spoke again "I dont know..." He stated "I have thought of those words in silence for a long time...and still the meaning escapes me" He spoke slightly "Though...." Mizuki now looked up "I believe you were sent here to help me solve it"

"My kind is a strong believer of fate" He spoke looking into the flames of the fire "Everything till now...points to you" He said slightly "Comming across you when I did, saving your life...the carving" Mizuki shook his head "I cant get around all of it" He said slightly "Your important to me...I just..." Mizukis paused a moment before looking to Alton 'I just...dont know how yet"

When Mizuki said those last words something was different with the tone of his voice. It was soft and deep, filled with an emotion that had no name. Sighing slightly when the other didnt speak he stood his tail hanging limp as he walked to his hammock. Laying down Mizuki for the first time in a while turned his back to Alton "...And thats the thing that puzzels me most of all..." Mizuki said, his last words filling the silent room.

Once more he listened to Mizuki speak about the riddle and fate. He wasn't sure he agreed with his words that he was the key or whatever to Mizuki figuring out this riddle. It was odd though maybe he was? The only reason he was still alive at the moment might be because he was suppose to help Mizuki? How was he suppose to though, he had no idea about this area minus what the other had told him. He was still rather useless minus the fact that he was hunt.

When he spoke up again about the carving and saving his life it seemed... different somehow. what was it the voice why did his voice almost seem different when he spoke then? He wasn't given the time to ask or question why this was as the other seemed to stand and walk to his bed laying down. He spoke once more before silence filled the room again.

Alton took this as a hint to go to bed, asking questions wasn't going to get him a answer. He wished he knew more about why Mizuki was speaking like he was. Sure he felt .. something towards the other male over the time they had spent together but he couldn't say what it was. For now he wouldn't worry about it as he moved to roll over to try and get some sleep.

The next day Mizuki was silent, the thoughts of the conversation before the fire made him think of alot of things. So he stayed out checking the traps and trails all day until he returned and went to bed with out eating. This behavior continued for a while. The days blurring together as the same thing went and gone.

Though today seemed different. It had been over a week since the conversation and Mizuki sat in the back garden meditating. His body was calm and relaxed as his mind was blank though that didnt last long as the silence was broken from Alton asking what his issue was.

Mizuki remained where he was for a while until he spoke with a sigh "I have no issue..." He said his tail flickering behind him side to side. "I have uneasy thoughts" It was true. After that conversation Mizuki had weird dreams that night. All he knew was something was about to happen that would sadden the great mother.

It wasn't like the others odd actions weren't unnoticeable. Though what the other said when he was confronted worried Alton a bit. "Was it something I said a few nights back? You stopped talking after that night." He sighed a little seeing as Mizuki gave him no answer. "Right.. well I can't help when you won't even speak." He muttered out before leaving the other to his thoughts.

He left the hallow and went to where the water was, he liked it here so it seemed. The sound of the water reminded him of a few fonder memories... plus it helped him think. He knew the other was deep in thought but that didn't mean that he had to shut him out. Maybe he could help or think of some solution to fix it. If this was how he went about trying to solve the riddle his father had given him no wonder it was never solved. Either way the other wanted time alone so he could get it. All he could do was wait till Mizuki was ready to talk.

Mizuki remained where he was for a few more moments before he sighed to himself and stood fallowing the other male back into the hallow and to where he sat "Im sorry friend" He spoke taking another seat infront him though no looking at him "My mind has been everywhere but where it should be" Was all he said lightly with a shrug of his shoulders.

Really Mizuki was lost in a sence. He really had no idea what to do or how to do it. Everything that was going on was something that Mizuki did not know how to handle. I mean put him in the middle of a fight and you watch out because he will kick your ass hand to hand or with his many magic spells. But when it came to this...confusion, Mizuki has no idea what to do "Its...just everything dosent make sence"

He laughed weakly listening to the other say sorry and say his mind was everywhere. "I think I could have told you this. For the past week you've said maybe a total of ten words to me?" He shrugged a little, it didn't seem to really be bothering him but he was a little concerned that he was the reason the other stopped talking or acting normal. "We all need time to think don't we? you don't have to be sorry for trying to sort out your thoughts."

When Mizuki seemed to speak again Alton nodded a little before speaking. "ever think your trying too hard to figure whatever is confusing you out? I know that might sound weird to you but sometimes things straighten themselves after we stop fretting about them." He shrugged a little noticing the odd look from the other. "Maybe things work differently here but thats how I've found things work at times, if I worried about everything that was really on my mind I don't think I'd be sane enough to have this conversation heh."

Mizuki sat there and thought of the words Alton said with his tail flickering with thought. Maybe the male was right, maybe he was thinking to hard on it so the simplest answer seems to be the hardest to understand. "Your right..." Mizuki said before giving a smile "I am thinking to hard on said something and because of that the simpelest answer is the hardest" Mizuki said in an almsot awe like moment.

After that Mizuki gave a smile. Alton was so right it almost frightened Mizuki "For once he has a great thought....thats a little frightening" He said dodging the half attempt at a hit from the other male "Well then...I do say with that thought its time for a feild trip" With that said Mizuki stood and grabbed his bow as well as a little sack that was by the door "Well come on then" He said before heading out of the hallow.

He frowned a bit with the comment from the other as he did try to make a swing at him. Not a serious one but still. It was easily avoided by Mizuki. "I have my moments, or at least I like to think I do." He said with a shrug before crossing his arms. He was entitled to say one or two smart things once in a while, though he probably didn't know the power behind what he had just said. If he did then he might have kept his mouth shut or thought better on the words.

No instead he was rather clueless about what conclusion Mizuki just came to in his mind. When the other seemed to stand and start to walk off a little before he said for him to come on. Alton seemed to question this sudden change in actions. What was he up to now? For a week he was not talking to him and now all of a sudden he was?

He got up either way to follow Mizuki like the other seemed to want him to do. Who knew this could prove to be entertaining on its own. Or he could regret speaking his words in the first place. Though something did seem different about the other for the moment.. like he had a second wind after this past week.

Mizuki said nothing as he knew the other male was fallowing behind him with little to no protest. Mizuki thought it was about time to show the male behind him some of the great things that was knowen as Navari. So that is what Mizuki was about to do. Taking the male he began his treck across the forest floor on silent feet.

Once they reached a giant tree Mizuki strapped his bow to his back and looked to Alton "Last one to the top cooks for a week" Mizuki said with a smile before he jumped up and grabbed a lowly hanging branch before pulling himself up and starting to climb the massive tree before him.

Mizuki didnt bother looking to see if Alton had fallowed him nor did he wait to see if the other would he just went on his way getting to the top of the giant tree. Mizuki climbed up the rope like vines and branches until he paused a moment looking down below him though he did not see Alton below him.

Shaking his head a little Mizuki climbed up a little more till he stopped at an almost plat form looking branch that was wide and flat. Mizuki then looked down below him seeing if the male was anywhere to be seen though when he heard the words "What are you looking for?" Mizuki turned around and saw Alton who was leaning against the large base of the tree.

"Did...did you beat me?" Mizuki asked with a little tilt of his head as he looked at the male before him. When he got a shrug of the shoulders Mizuki huffed but the next words that came from Altons lips explaining that he did watch MIzuki climb alot of the way made Mizuki smile "Fine then...looks like we dont eat burnt meat for a week!"

With that comment he ran passed Alton dodging the hand that came out to hit him. Mizuki for the first time gave a meaning smile and laughed low in chest. It was a joyfull sound that has not been made for a long time yet the simple action of 'playing' with the male that now chased him seemed to bring out the better side of him.

Mizuki ran away from the other enjoying the little game of tag they seemed to have going on. He ran over the large roots of the trees. Jumping from branch to branch when the action was called until he came to a stop on a cliff. Mizuki was breathing heavy as he all but fell down to the ground with a huff.

Mizuki gave a smile as Alton came and took a seat down beside him. When their breathing was caught and everything was calm Mizuki smiled at the question Alton gave as to why they were there. Mizuki turned his head and looked to him "Watch..." Was all he said before turning his head back and looking at the sight before them.

Over the edge of the cliff the whole valley was seen. Different sizes of trees and cliffs gave an image to the eye that only mythical painting held. Just as Mizuki said that though the large sun in the distance began to set covering the sky in light purple and blue clouds giving a mystic look to the valley below and thats where the real show began to play out before them.

As the darkness reached out and the moon came out to play the world before their eyes began to change. As the hands of the darkness reached plants and animals alike the softest glows began to show. Soon the forest was clouded in darkness as the soft natural glow of the forest took over.

To be honest he didn't think he was going to beat the other for the first half of this climb. Though he had taken a few trips out here on his own to practice what he considered to be a weakness. With the past week of almost isolation it was fair enough to do something to keep himself occupied anyway. Though the results seemed worth it, well until the comment on burnt meat from the other he thought he was getting better at that.

Even after Mizuki finally got them to sit and show him why the real reason was to bringing him out here. He still felt almost like a kid again, it was odd to think that the mess they just did was remotely fun. Just goofing off is what he would have called it back home, a waste of time. But here maybe it wasn't a waste it used a number of skills to even keep up with the other let alone it was entertaining.

Just the mood improvement alone was good enough for him. Mizuki wasn't staying to himself like he had been. Like something was different now. Maybe there was and Alton was just too dense to see it. But for now all of this was worth the sight before them. "It's almost unreal.. ya know?" He noticed Mizuki seemed to question what he meant. "Just all of this, its something we'd hear about in stories or make believe back home."

Mizuki looked to Alton before looking back out and the display before him "Stories and tales" Mizuki said slightly "We call them the voices of the ancestors" Mizuki said almost absentmindedly. Leaning back a little he rested on his hands as his tail flicked out behind him. "One voice though stands out above them all" He stated looking as the glows of the forest changed and shimmered.

"Its a tale of a man that wished to be something other then what he was. Each day he would strive and compete to be the best, but little did he know thats what made him the worst" Mizuki said tilting his head to the side his ears twitching with the different sounds he heard around him. "In the end the male thought he failed his personal goal when infact he passed with flying colors" Mizuki almost laughed here.

"To be the best you must first have a taste of the worst" Mizuki said slightly almost to himself "For he to learn mistakes needed to be made, innocents hurt and others lost" Mizuki said with a little sigh in his voice "But from there you grow, leaning how the worst makes the best" Mizuki said before he turned his head to look at Alton.

"You and I..." Mizuki said looking to him before turning his head and gazing at the forest below them 'We are just climbing out of the worst" He said slightly his head tiping to the side causing his braid to fall off his shoulder to pool in a lump at his. Mizuki didnt know why he said what he did but he didnt take it back. Knowing some where inside that it was the turth.

He listened to the other. He wasn't sure that the fairy tale books they had on the other world were the same as the voices here. Maybe they had been watching this world for years... who knew. He wasn't trying to figure that out. Though if he ran across something that looked like a dragon or unicorn he was going to question if he was taking something again.

Listening once more to Mizuki speak and go on explaining what he was thinking he nodded a little. It sounded like something he had heard back home. It was similar to the saying learn from your own mistakes. He always hated that saying though. He had made a number of them and well he did learn from most.

"Heh.. I dunno there is always something worse out there. Though I suppose thats the tale isn't it? Once you get to the top the only way to go is down." He shrugged a little, though he normally managed to take the things the other said into his own light or way or thinking. They were similar to Earth's sayings just worded differently.

"So then.. getting down.. heh.." He laughed weakly at the thought. "I think you'll win that one." Ok so he could climb.. getting back down was not as easy of a task for him. Then again he never was one for heights so long as he never paid them any mind. But he already was reminded that jumping down was not a option.

Mizuki shook his head at the others comment "The only place to go is higher...even the tallest tree still grows" Mizuki said to alton but then got a smile on his face "Oh come now going down is the fun part" He said "If taken with class" Mizuki said before standing brushing his ass off as he stood.

This is where Mizuki brought his fingers to his mouth and gave a low sounding whistle that almost vibrated with the sound. As the whistle died on his lips a screech like roar sounded out. Mizuki then took a step back as a large scaled bird landed on the branch where they stood.

It was white with blue scales but feathered wings. A large snout filled with sharp teeth opened with a growled greating as Mizuki stepped forward and touched the snout "There there Luna" He spoke petting the snout of the creature. "This is Luna.." Mizuki said speaking to Alton "Luna's of the draken clan that lives in the southern mountains" He said.

With that Mizuki went around and climbed atop the saddle that rested upon the giant creatures back "A draken is matched to you through your spirit of the great mother" He said before petting her back lightly. Mizuki then reached a hand out to Alton with a smile 'Care to fly?" He asked lightly

Well he had a point, there was flying, that wasn't so bad at least in a plane. Though what his next words were scared him a bit with how the other spoke them. "what do you mean with... " He never got to finish his thought as Mizuki let a whistle out. That could not be good... he had heard this story before ok not really but to admit he was worried to see what was going to answer such a call.

As the beast landed, Mizuki went about explaining to Alton what 'she' was and all of that and it's name. "And we called them dragons... you have to be kidding..." He said halfway under his breath. Though when the other spoke asking f he wanted to fly the look was almost asking if he thought he was crazy.

"I think if the great mother is as smart as you make her out to be she'll keep me on the ground." He was not getting onto that thing, no way no how. Not when the bite alone could kill you let alone if the beast decided it wanted you off of its back. There was no chance in hell he was getting onto this thing. And he was never going to go around trying to train into riding one either, he'd skip that lesson.

Mizuki looked to him and gave a smile before getting down off of the creature "Are you honestly saying that you are frightened?" Mizuki asked with a tilt of his head as he continued to walk closer to the other male. Inching behind him he continued to speak "Its just a little fun" He said before he used his strength and tail against the other male.

Wrapping his arms around Altons arms and shoulders he used his tail to grab and hold the other males legs. In turn he picked him up and went over to Luna holding firmly only a wiggeling and protesting Alton "I promise you will get used to it!" With that Mizuki jumped up onto Luna letting Altons legs go so they could rest on either side of the beast.

Before another protest left Altons lips Mizuki comanded the creature to go and it took flight. All but falling face first off the tree the creature squeed before it opened massive wings and glided up. With a few flaps they were in the air gliding through low hanging leaves till pure air met them.

Mizuki kept his hold on the male around his chest though he let Altons arms go. Droping one hand Mizuki grabbed the reins to controle Luna replacing the missing arm with his tail to keep the male in place "Its not so bad..." He said to Alton as the male seemed to relax a little.

He started to back up a little when Mizuki walked closer. He knew that look he wasn't going to like this at all. "Truthfully, no I rather dislike heights." He didn't think fear was the best word but he'd rather be on the ground. Though those were the only words he managed to get out before Mizuki already seemed to be behind him and forcing him to eve get near the creature.

The slight struggle was quickly proven useless as Mizuki managed to force Alton onto the beast, almost easily at that. He wasn't given a moment to get off as Mizuki got on and told it to go. Not what he wanted this was in fact the last place he wanted to be as he cursed at Mizuki knowing it was too late to complain really.

"I don't want to get use to it!" He half cried out. "I plan to not let this happen a second time to be honest with you." He was really unhappy with being where he was even as the other seemed to release his arms and say this wasn't so bad he glared at him. "Says you... I rather like the ground, this is hardly the ground." Thinking about it what did he mean by he'd get use to it? There was no way he was making him bond with one of these things.

Mizuki smiled at that before pulling on the reins a little causing Luna to flap large wings taking them higher. Just as they broke through the clouds hanging around some of the largest trees Mizuki evened out the flying of Luna before he gave a slight smile. Luna was now just gliding over a white river of clouds. Mizuki rested his chin on Altons right shoulder looking out before them.

Mizuki had no idea what compelled him to place his chin on the males shoulder but as he did his arm tightened a little around the males chest almost in a hug then to keep him safe. This is how Mizuki stayed for a little while until the tenseness of the male became knowen to him. Sighing a little to himself Mizuki pulled back.

Just as he did the clouds broke and made way to show a large waterfall before them. Large trees hung over gushing water as it fell down a rocky surface to land in a giant pool of collected water below. Soft colors brought light to the water around them as Mizuki guided Luna down to the ground.

When her feet softly landed he let go of Alton and watched as the male all but jumped off the creature more then happy to get away "Hmmm...' Mizuki said watching him before giving a smile and getting off of Luna "Good girl..." He said slightly patting her snout before walking past her not even flinching as she took flight once more with a large gust of wind. "Well then...shall we bathe?" He asked with a tilt of his head heading for the water.

He had noticed Mizuki resting his head on his shoulder but to tell the truth he didn't tense because of that though. No he was still too focused on the fact that falling form this height meant he was as good as dead. That and the fact he was going to kill Mizuki once they were on the ground, or rather thats what he thought.

After a while Mizuki seemed to take them down near where a waterfall was. Going down wasn't so bad, no this he could get use to the ground slowly getting closer. Almost as soon as the beast touched the ground Alton was gone from it. He had no reason to stay on any longer then he needed to. He didn't care where they were it was on the ground and that was that.

After it took off and Mizuki spoke Alton had regained himself a little as he quickly turned around and glared at him. "Bathe?! after that bathing is the first thing you bring up?" He sighed heavily still noticing that Mizuki seemed to care less about his complaints. "Sure why not." He finally said with a shrug of his shoulders as he followed the other.

To be honest he was still more then shaken up about the whole flying deal, he liked being on the ground. As soon as he had Mizuki back home he was going to tell him right away he was not bonding or flying one of those damned things. He was going to stay on the ground when at all possible. Though that wasn't always possible.

Mizuki gave a smile and a little chuckle at that. "Awww your not one for flying I see" Mizuki said with a little laugh as he undressed and got into the naturally warm water before him. Little did Alton know it was the same waterfall they commonly used for such things.

Wading his way into the water Mizuki hummed to himself as he undid his hair letting the silver strands float in the water creating a curtain of silver around him. Mizuki paid no attention to anything as he dunked under the water. Comming up he brushed long strands out of his face his tail lightly thrashing in the water behind him.

This is when Mizuki looked over and glanced at Alton just as he reached the water fall. This is when the water hit the males face causing eyes to close and his hands to come to his face brushing the droplets away.

By the time Mizuki realized he had been watching the other male so did Alton. Soon he sputtered a little turning his head away from the scene before him before wading over to the rocky edge to place his scented oil to the side.

He shot a look of oh really towards Mizuki and his words of not being one to fly. "I thought my protests at the start were a good hint of that." Though he didn't complain any more as he went about pulling off what he was wearing and getting into the water.

Normally he was rather silent when they bathed, no point in talking. Though he did notice that Mizuki seemed to be watching him. It was almost odd that he was. Was it that funny to the other that he didn't like flying? Maybe it was funny to them. Who knew maybe the fear of flight was something they didn't know about.

He never questioned why the other was watching him. Probably lost in thought again as she shrugged it off before going back to what he was doing. Yeah that was it just lost in thought was all.

From where Mizuki stood he pulled all his hair over his shoulder and grabbed his scented oil. This is where Mizuki poured some into his hand and began to run the water through his hair almost humming to himself. His next actions were naturaly to wash the oil out cleaning the hair.

This is where Mizuki moved to where Alton was standing under the fall. Thinking the spray was large enough for both of them Mizuki joined Alton with his back towards the other. He then reached up and began washing the oil from his hair. When he was done Mizuki whiped the water from his eyes just in time to see Alton return after placing the oil within his own hair.

Mizuki had no idea what made him do his next actions but it was to late to take them back as his hands found their way up to Altons head. His hands gently washing the lightly scented oil from the slightly longer dark brown locks. Mizuki thought Alton already thought the moment to be strange but if he were to stop and walk away that would leave the male with more unanswered questions. Mizuki had his own as well.

Things were going about normally just like any other time. He hardly had any reason to think that something was wrong or different. Why would it be. He just nearly tried to kill him on a dragon was all. He shuddered at the thought of flying again when he walked back to deal with his hair figuring Mizuki was going to be nearly finished.

Though the thoughts of normal were short lived. At the same time he figured Mizuki was picking on him or teasing him about what had just happened. "You know just because I dislike flying doesn't mean I can't bathe myself." Was his smart remark never thinking a second thought on it as he grabbed Mizuki's hands with his own.

but the other's expression seemed.. different. Why? He could question what was going on in the other's head all day long and never get a answer. Mizuki always kept his thoughts to himself. After a moment he released Mizuki's hands and seemed to try to stop thinking on what was going on. Maybe the other wasn't feeling well.. that would explain a few odd actions.
