"No I don't remember ours.. I've told you this" He looked away knowing that it's not something you should forget, but due to a few close calls it had happened. "But fine.. though honestly I don't know what to say, spouting off bullshit is one thing.. but I can't here can i"

"i am sorry, i forget sometimes i have to remember for both of us" he looked away ashamed, it was his fault thalion could not remember and it hurt them both when he let things like that slip. he half turned back and offered a watery smile, "no worries, we don't have to talk, we are only there to keep them occupied"

He smirked a little "well go back to your little circus act then, it seemed to work" Though in truth he was merely picking fun at him over the whole rock trick. "though... we need something that will work for a few hours.. and wear them out." He seemed to think on it a moment "what to do.. " He didn't remember signing up to do this sort of job but apparently he had no choice in the matter.

"guess we could always take them outside of the village for a bit, that normally works as far as them wearing themselves out. Not like anythings going to happen to them with both of us there."

without a pause he reached for his arm and opened his mouth "are you sure that is wise? there are a lot more beasts running loose than usual"

"well tell me a better idea then, and hied and seek is not a option...." he warned him as he spoke.

"damn...." he really needed a new fall-back if his idea always got shot down before it was ever asked. thinking for a few moments drew nothing "uuhh......" well, we have to stay at least somewhat close alright? he smiled sheepishly

"i didn't mean we were going in the middle of the forest.. just on the edge." He laughed a little, why would he risk going that far into the forest. "though i guess we should run it by the children huh.."

he smiled again at the laugh "you know they are up for it" he looked around "speaking of which where did they go? i thought you were watching them"

"huh?" He questioned Zosa as he asked where they were. "er... they aren't here?" He looked around before back to Zosa. "I normally don't have to keep a eye on them, Verdia just follows me and her brother follows her.. shit where did they go?" This could be a problem really.

he sighed in exasperation "oh thalion!" it was most reasonable to assume that they were just playig n improptu game of hide-and-go-seek but there was still the small part of him that talked of wild animals and soft chid's flesh. he tried not to panic

"What, was i suppose to know that they'd run off?" He sighed a little before he started walking. "come on, you should take that direction we'll figure out where they are faster if we split up.." Though he wanted to just leave the kids where ever they were ... he didn't want to risk the chance they had run off into the forest either.

he nodded. looking high and low through the foilage he began calling out for the two in hopes or seeing a shuffle of leaves or a half-stifled giggle. he was desperate for any sign that they were indeed nearby

It felt like it had been forever. Once or twice Zosa had crossed his path and they had not seen hide nor hair of the twins. "oh come on.. out of all the days, i swear if they are playing a joke.." He said sounding a bit annoyed in the process as he continued walking.

He stopped a moment to call out for Verdia and Azuro, though he didn't get a answer once more. This thing he'd expect out of Verida.. but her brother normally was well enough behaved.

he was about to give up and call for a search party when the tell-tale giggle came from above him, he sighed in relief and gave one long whistle for his tailios to come.

He heard the whistle when he was about to go look for Zosa anyway. After he finally caught up to him he sighed a little. "I swear... this is why I don't want kids.." He shook his head a little. All that fuss...

he laughed 'marry a man or become a monk, those are your choices haha' to be honest right now the desire to grab them both potato-sack style and dump them in their rooms was strong. 'how about, you two come down and we play elsewhere?' he was met with nods as both children came down. he hoped this would be /all/ of their troubles for the rest of the stay

He glared at Zosa with that comment. "I never said I wanted to not lay with anyone.. i said I didn't want children.. and you know very well I'm not into .. the other" Sure he knew Zosa was but as far as he knew it wasn't his thing.

The girl smiled at Thalion though he rolled his eyes a little before sitting a hand on her head. "you must hate me and Zosa, wanting us to die at a early age of heart attacks because something could have happened to you both." Though he was merely joking it was a bit of a morbid one.

She frowned a little and shook her head. "we were just playing.. you two were busy talking." She said slightly pouting.

he sighed, his joke lost on his other 'and now we get to talk more...as we take you home' he picked up one in each arm and carried them both towards the gates of the village his talios trailing after.


the rest of the day went smoothly and the night too, it was only with the aproaching dawn did things start to go wrong 'thalion!' zosa screamed 'THALION!'

He sat up with Zosa screaming almost as he looked at him to see what the hell was wrong. "what, fuck warning next time!" Though he got his answer after a moment as Zosa was holding his arm. Thalion looked at him oddly before moving so he could examine the arm. "the hell..." he finally said after looking it over. "what the fuck did you do? I mean i know it's been bothering you but thats.. not normal even if the spell i did back fired that shouldn't happen

he woke up to his arm throbbing but when he went to scratch his fingers tore into partially rotted flesh, it was blackened like ash had been dusted on it and it had a slight oder of decaying books, he was repulsed and horrified. he shoved his damaged arm at his brother and sobbed 'fix it, goddess pleas fix it' he could here knocking on the door but he ignored it and instead stared desperately into the eyes of his talios

He was still in shock at what the hell happened, what was this? No way the healing magic back fired and did this, this was something else. "just calm down, your panicking won't help it" he hissed at him before holding onto Zosa's arm with one hand and holding the other one over the infected area. He closed his eyes and tried to focus harder this time around as he chanted a few words to improve the strength of the spell. Though in the back of his mind he was thinking please work.

After a few moments he moved his hand and looked at it. It looked ok from the outside.. though he didn't think that it was healed.. "well?" he finally asked Zosa, only he would know if it felt right or not.

'it still itches' to his credit he did not scratch it but his fae gave away the pain of it. 'do we tell someone?'

He looked a little worried "we have to I don't know whats wrong let alone how to fix it... I still need a lot of training ye.. whatever wrong is beyond what I can do." He half sounded like he regretted that fact, what if this was his fault maybe healing it was making it worse. "we have to tell someone, cause your arms in no condition to travel like that."

the knocking continued bet he ignored it 'but who here knows more than you?'

He thought a few moments before saying something again"maybe Nanna knows someone.. I don't know maybe she knows more then me about whats wrong." He was a bit worried he had never crossed something that couldn't be healed.

he nodded and they went to the door, luck was with them though as the very person they were seeking was one of those awoken by his screams 'nana!' zosa cried. he stuck out his arm leaving his brother to explain the entire mess

His ears dropped a little seeing it was the very person he said they should seek. The woman was already looking over the arm that was extended as Thalion went on to explain. "I tried healing it, but it's getting worse... I don't know if trying to heal it caused it or what.." He also went about explaining what creature they had fought as well

her ears flattened as he listened yanking lightly on the proffered appendage she laid two fingers and pulled off the fragile top-layer of skin zosa screamed bloody murder and thalion jumped between them, he was gently but firmly pushed to the side by the old matron as she took the arm zosa was now cradling back in her hand 'no magic will cure this'

Thalion didn't want to hear that as his ears went back in annoyance. "well what will then!, it[s spreading isn't it.. the cut wasn't that big when it started off.." He calmed down after a moment. "I don't care whatever it is.. it needs to be done he'll die .. i know it.." His ears dropped knowing he was right he just had a feeling that he was.

she looked at him angrily. 'only a poultice from the healers of the dragon king can heal this. it's worm poison' she looked at the crying zosa and her deep frown turned into a worried one 'the best we can do is clean it out and hope that delays the spread' she grabbed zosa bridal style even several inches shorter and 70 some odd years older her former strength still showed. she carried him to the healers solemnly

He listened to her but he didn't like what he heard. That was a long trip the more he thought about it, and if the infection got worse... there was no place to really stop along the way to get assistance from. He seemed a little lost in his thoughts between the information he was being told and the fact that Zosa's crying was killing him internally.

He started to offer to help her carry him, but decided against it as she had already started walking off with ease. He figured he had done enough damage anyway. If only he had been a little quicker.. he could have prevented the beast from getting close to Zosa like he normally did.

He half thought this was his fault even if Zosa was the one within melee striking range of the beast Thalion know that it was his role in the duo they had to keep the creatures attention and either kill it or provide the necessary back up till Zosa got the correct shot in.

He seemed to stay quiet the whole walk all the way to the healers before the woman set Zosa down on one of the cots in the healer's building. Why did this happen to Zosa, why couldn't it have been him? He could have withstood whatever pain there was far better then his talios could.

he stiffled his crys when he saw his other's face but he could do nothing for the tears. as he was laid down he reached with his good arm for the other, the welcoming warmth of thalion's hand did nothing for the pain he knew was coming but in the swarm of bodies it was the only anchor he had. he braced himself as nanna herself was given a sharpened knife. he screamed.

He was only even there still to show the best support he could for Zosa, though a mere hand was hardly much of a support. His ears dropped as he winced with each scream from Zosa. He kept cursing as his inability to do anything, he trained as a druid for the sole purpose to help those who needed it be it in combat or through healing.. and here the most important person in the world to him was crying out in pain and there was nothing he could do.

the woman known as nanna scraped out the rot and decay from his arm, in all her years she had only done this once though everything about it was so familier it hurt. an assistant packed a compress of witch-hazel to stop the blood when she finally cut enough away for it to wash the wound, the youth now had a gouge the size of two fingers in the crooked shape of a moon in wane, it was a nasty thing but clean, she took the compress and lightly bushed it over the wound. tightly she wrapped it with expert fingers, by now the boy had passed out from the exertion, she felt sorry for him, this unfortunate child, but she could do nothing else to ease his pain. she looked at the other boy, a child really, and said nothing. he wondered if he was strong enough to carry his brother. she did not think to hard on the matter

After it was all over his stomach was still in knots and his head spun a little . He didn't really want to watch the whole process but he couldn't manage to get Zosa's grip to loosen until after he had finally passed out and even then it was prying his hand from his. When everything was settled down a little he sighed heavily but stayed by his side none the less. He hoped this was worth it.. to go through such an amount of pain, he never wanted to see that again but he knew very well he might..

He needed to get over any doubts he had of Zosa dying.. if he did die then Thalion would follow him just like the vows stated. But he wasn't going to let it happen. They were both still young, there was too much life left to give up now.

he woke up some time later, his talios asleep nearby, his arm throbbed but he was not dead and noone was trying to fix that. he looked over at the other. he felt so bad that this had to happen, if only he had not gotten so close, if only he did not let the wyvren see him. though he knew it could have just as easily been his brother lying on this bed. tears welled in his eyes

He heard a slight bit of movement as he opened his eyes and looked towards the bed seeing that Zosa had opened his eyes. He stood instantly as he moved back over towards the bed. It was easy to tell he was worried, hell why shouldn't he be, his head was all over the place though he knew he had to be the strong one. He had always been there for Zosa and he needed to keep being there for him.

He laughed slightly before speaking, he couldn't think of anything better to say and he didn't want to really cause Zosa to worry further with what was really on his mind. "Heh you look like hell.." He was sure his arm was in pain, hell he nearly thought he could feel it as he watched the process.

"still prettier than you" he forced a chuckle. his talios looked like shit and he knew it was his own fault

He thought about that comment for a moment before agreeing. "probably true, though I don't try to look 'pretty'.. I don't think youd know what to do if I bothered to clean up a bit" He smiled a little, it was nice to know he still could pick fun at him, though he was sure he looked like hell, it's not like he had really slept.He more or less passed out among his thoughts.

' i think' he said 'that i feel better than before, it does not itch' he took his talios' hand, 'what did she say was wrong, i must confess i was not paying attention'
