After the family had a bit of a reunion, Shawn and Chloe each went into their respective rooms to change, apparently excited to spend a night out- even if it did mean together. Shawn was careful to clothe himself in dark jeans, faded slightly near the knee and a tad worn at the ends of the legs, as well as a light blue top that was a tad tight, showing off his muscular build. He brushed his hair, part of it getting in his face without him caring. He then went to his sister's room.

Chloe took longer to get dressed of course. She fought with her blond locks to make them fray at the bottom, outward. She had changed into a pink dress, reaching to her mid-thigh and having no actual sleeves. The dress had a slightly low cut, showing off her fair bust, and her arms were covered with a simple white jacket that managed to reach her arms, though was tight enough to keep from getting in the way. Her shoes were a pair of white ballet flats, a pink bow on the top of each one. She failed to put on much make-up besides a slight bit of eye-shadow and liner- her face already had a naturally rosy hue, and she hated using anything on her lips. Besides, their color had already been known to be fair even without being touched. Though, she did use a slight bit of gloss, both to make them shine a bit and keep them moist.

As she exited her room, she was surprised to see her older brother already waiting next to her door. When he eyed her, he seemed to turn a slight red, causing her to laugh. "Don't get any funny ideas. I may hate you, but you're still my brother."

"I had no ideas that were funny, so there's no reason to laugh." He rolled his eyes. "I'm just worried about the next guy to ask you out, considering you tend to lean towards girls when you do have an interest in people."

"Wow, you remember that..." She laughed, smiling. "I may have failed today when I met a girl that interested me...Especially since I snapped. But I'm not gonna fail at having a nice night." She smiled, tugging on her brother's arm. "Let's go. You looked into the area more than I did so I'll let you choose where we go." He nodded to her, of course, before taking her to the club. Despite the loud music, it was easy for them to hear one another as they waved to each other before parting. Chloe went straight to the bar for a drink, and Shawn went to look around, interested in trying to get away from her.

Tazha_bear 05-03-2011 10:26 PM

Corrine danced around with a few people before going over to the bar laughing with her twin, Corrin.

"Two crown royals for me, a chocolate martini for the lady!" he said, fighing his natural frend accent and replacing it with a british one, but it ended up a mix of both and sounded exactly hilarious.

both burst out laughing, the bar tender grinning and winking at her as he handed her a martini. "Naughty drink for a naughty girl." He said, his voice was rich and deep, musical to the ears. He was obviously a vampire.

"Mmmh... What can i say, my mother taught me well." she said, licking her lips tauntingly before leaning across the counter, her her bust was visible from behind the thick jean material. "Maybe we can meet up later... Hmm? It'll be fun..." she said, running a finger down his chest, and smirking when she saw him gulp and felt him shiver. "Like I said though, MAYBE..." she and her brother laughed as they leaned against the counter and sipped at their drinks.

Juneberry 05-03-2011 10:33 PM

"What'll you have?" The bartender looked at Chloe curiously. It was strange to see such a girl there, to him- but then again, there were a lot of new people in the area that day. She smiled and placed her order- a simple daquiri, strawberry flavored. Her love of fruity treats had never ceased, even when she was drinking- so she got a sweet drink, just for the fruit. "I'll warn you, our drinks are pretty thick in alcohol."

"I can handle my alcohol, thanks." She replied, grinning slightly. She stretched her arms over the counter, waiting for her drink. As she looked around curiously, she could see her brother walking to a pair who seemed to be laughing. She chuckled a bit. As usual, her brother was going to the people that seemed to already be busy- though, knowing him, he would have an easy time getting involved. That was the one thing she had noticed about her brother.

"Hey," Shawn noted, grinning. He did actually recognize them slightly from the airport, specifically the girl, but had decided not to pay heed to it. The ability to tell faces apart was pretty fragile, and he didn't want to make a mistake. "Mind if I join you? My date separated from me, so I could use a few laughs with you guys." He was grinning easily, his eyes confident and yet shy all it one. Of course, he had never had a date, that was a lie- but he had indeed separated with the person he actually came with. And, when push came to shove, he did enjoy a good laugh or ten.

Tazha_bear 05-03-2011 10:47 PM

Corrine smiled, she could tell he was slightly shy around them. "Don't be nervous, we won't bite you" she said and ran her fingers through her hair not caring if she messed it up because she looked great either way. "What''s your favorite drink, it's on us." she offered him.

Corrin nodded, smiling. "On me technically. My sister has no money until her bakery finally opens up." he said, asking the bar tender for another shot, glaring as he looked his sister over again until the bar tender seemed to burn under his gaze than turned back.

Juneberry 05-03-2011 10:49 PM

"Ah a baker, huh? Baking seems to be part of my family too...Though I prefer psychiatry." He grinned, taking a seat near them. "I'm happy with anything- but I should probably just stick with water in case my date needs help later. May be split for now, but I don't want any problems if she needs help again..." Meaning, he wanted to be sober just in case his sister actually got drunk- though he had a feeling it wasn't as likely to be needed.

"By the way, name's Shawn. And you two?"

Tazha_bear 05-03-2011 10:52 PM

Corrine smiled. "I do both. I'm a special case so naturally I'm ahead of most my age." she said, sitting down on a stool. "I'm Corrine, this is my brother Corrin." She said, sipping her drink again and nodding.

This guy seemed slightly familiar... where had she seen him before? "so who was your date?" she asked. She knew it wasn't any of her business but this was getting slightly awkward.

Juneberry 05-03-2011 10:59 PM

"My date was gonna be my ex," Shawn explained, frowning at the truth. "We were supposed to get married around the same time as my relative, but...She decided it wasn't a good idea and broke it off. She was gonna come with me but... Well, I dunno if she's gonna end up coming after that." He had only recently gotten the call that his lover, Mabyn, was not interested in marrying him. She had always been very old-fashioned, but the fact that she suddenly decided she didn't love him enough to marry him seemed to still cause him to ache.

"I know her though. If she does come, she'll end up horribly drunk." That part wasn't a lie, though. Mabyn had never accepted she was horrible with alcohol. Unlike Chloe who was much younger, she couldn't drink more than a sip without getting drunk. "Now, why is it I heard laughing until I came over? That's a first. Usually I cause the laughter."

Tazha_bear 05-03-2011 11:15 PM

Corrine and Corrin looked at each other and made faces, giggling they looked back. "Usually we make some joke right now but that's somewhat serious. ever considered the fact she may have been having an affair, didn't want you to find out so she broke it off and went with someone else, turn around and she'll be married to that someone with five kids. Sometimes it's hard to imagine but trust me it happens." she said, taking another sip.

"Our aunt Marge did that. She was a major pest, a drama queen to say the least. She drove us both mentally insane." he said, explaining his sister's knowledge.

"Usually when something like that happens with a girl she either used you, or had an affair, that or she never loved you to begin with and you were somewhat of a sympathy date in the beginning. Could have been many possibilities but those are the most popular." she explained.

Juneberry 05-03-2011 11:17 PM

"May never looked at people that way. And I dated her from the time we started high school. That'd be about...well, almost ten years now? She told me the times she cheated, which was once- mostly because she had no idea what was going on and got drunk. But she's so old fashioned it takes forever to get her to hold your hand. 'that's not for until after we're married'. That's what she always said."

Tazha_bear 05-03-2011 11:29 PM

Corrine simply arched and eyebrow. "Seriously, that line is the oldest in the damned book. Seriously totally pisses me off when people play that." she mumbled to her brother.

Standing she went over to Shawn. "Ok, I'm going to break it down for you. Since I'm a girl, and well I've pulled that stunt a gabillion times because people for some crazy reason think i'm their girlfriend when I tell them we are simply friends. Girls use that line to make the guy think she's oh so innocent so when she does the deed, rumor spreads, or you somehow magically find out, there's no way for you to believe it.

It starts out like that, but things escalate with that other you know who, and they use the excuse 'I'm too tired', or ' there's so much work' or other excuses to hide behind to go see them. They don't want to seem unfaithful to you, so when you think you guys are ready to tie the knot they panic. they never really loved you like that to begin with so finally they admit it, and leave you behind while things progress with this other someone." she said, explaining the whole cycle in full detail.

"Trust me, every girl does that at least once. We're a never ending maze that no one will truly know about. You may have your own opinion but for a minute actually consider it because even if it doesn't fit her, it makes sense according to your story. Besides, she really loved you she wouldn't have just tossed you like that." She told him gently.

Yeah, Corrine could be cruel when it came to things like break-ups, but she'd been through every kind of betrayal and brezk-up possible other than losing her virginity kind of stuff, so she was probably the best person to take advice from.

"Take it from me, he being gone was probably a good thing. besides, everything always happens for a reason. Maybe she just wasn't truly the one for you. Or maybe you have something more important in mind and destiny knew that." she told him easily, close but not too close, making sure to avoid even touching his personal space.

corrin sighed. "Harsh but true... why don't you go dance, Corrine, besides, this chump could use a little cheerin up!" he said, now with a terrrible immitation of an australian accent.

Juneberry 05-03-2011 11:33 PM

Shawn couldn't help but laugh. "Do you always try using strange accents that you don't normally have?" He grinned, having used a slightly notable fake French accent in response. "Sorry... I'm horrible with them too. The only one I can pull off is Russian. Since I grew up in Russia..."

He looked over at Corrine curiously. "Ah, a dancer, huh? You shouldn't let me hold either of you back, you know. But... If I may point this out, are you two twins or something? You seem to look fairly similar, though obviously not identical."

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 05:10 PM

she smirked. "Faternal. And before he lies yes he does suck at accents, he's not exactly as talented as me." she said, her voice mimicking a perfect British accent, pretending like she was fanning herself as she went onto the dance floor, grabbing another girls date and easily dancing with him, leaving the other girl red-faced an jealous.

corrin shook his head. "don't mind that scene. She hated that girl since preschool." he explained and laughed lightly.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 07:20 PM

"Eh, at least she doesn't hate you for a good reason, right?" Shawn laughed a big, waving it off. "Though to be honest, it isn't very...fair? While she seems like a nice girl, I dunno how I feel about how she's acting. But...Then again, you can never tell in places like these."

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 07:26 PM

He shook his head. "Corrine isn't like that. the longest she's ever held a grudge was a year. but she was really hurt then and stressed... she usually is mad for a day, but then gets over it. Honestly I think I'm lucky to have a sister like her. Some people don't get the chance because the other is always too busy blaming the other sibling for something. but all we really thought is we had each other, at least we didn't lose that." he said, playfully punching his shoulder, but not hard.

Corrine walked around. she was tired of dancing and it was near midnight... she had a reeeally bad sweet-tooth coming on.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 07:32 PM

"I have a sister too- younger. By a lot." Shawn laughed nervously, shaking his head. "I wasn't there when she needed me. So she tends to get frustrated easily when I'm around. Our mom died when she was only starting high school. She had to start working when she was far under age since mom was sick...And I just hid from it. She's a strong girl...But very antisocial since she's been stalked by people in the prostitution business a lot. Her entire life is just being active. She's afraid of people...She'll talk to them, but she hates getting close. I can't help but wonder if it's because she had to work so hard since I wasn't there."

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 07:37 PM

"The girl Corrine got off the plane with? Blonde, kind of a strawberry-shortcake kind of girl with the plaid. Baker?" he asked.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 07:39 PM

"Sadly." Shawn nodded. "My sister...Likes girls. But she gets scared by it, and starts panicking internally, which ends up with her snapping quickly when she notices it in hopes of pushing the person away. It works alright. Your sister got pretty mad- and my sister felt like an idiot afterwards. That's the real reason we came here- I just thought I'd drown out my struggle from my ex-fiance while I was here. She's never gotten drunk, my sister, despite how much she can drink- but... I can't help but be a little bit worried, considering how mom used to get before Chloe was born. Alcoholism runs in the family."

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 07:52 PM

he laughed. "Corrine? Mad? No. Disappointed? Yes. She told me about it. She said she wanted the roommate she chose to live with her to be talented, work and have someone to have fun with. She just got upset when your sister just kind of stated that she only looked to do baking. So she may end up pulling back her deal. She's trying to get into making friends. Guess you can say she's finally coming out of her shell. before we came here me and her had this thick sheild. No one gets in, nothing got out. everything that happened to us was between us. even when it came to our parent's murder.

I wasn't there, but Corrine was. She said something got our grandfather mad and she watched one of his lackies violently kill our mom. I barely made it in time to save her, too." he said, his expression somber as he spoke, swallowing down his drink.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 07:59 PM

"You sound like a story from a mystery novel or something," Shawn noted, though mostly to himself. "Our mom got sick when Chloe was in late elementary school. In middle school, she managed to get a job at the bakery, thus her love of baking began. When she wasn't at work, she was either at school or doing housework since mom was bedridden. Heck, Chloe had to help mom bathe. I found out later that she actually quit track until mom passed. Track had always been Chloe's favorite thing... Besides mom, anyway." He smiled vaguely, taking his cup of water and twisting it in his hand slightly. "She gets confessed to a lot, my sister. So she's used to avoiding people to keep it from happening. In middle school, she hurt her best friend because the day mom got sick and ended up in the hospital, he had tried to confess to her. He didn't know what happened, so when she panicked and ran off, he got really upset. That guy still troubles her constantly though. He's got a big ego...He thinks she's just playing hard to get. Since then, she hates him- but, the good news is whenever she goes to visit mom's grave, he goes with her to fight off the people from prostitution corporations from trying to force her into it with violence, since she's not much of a fighter. She's more of a...well, she's more like the really fast prey that runs constantly away."

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 08:21 PM

He nodded. "What do you say we try and get our sisters to come to an agreement? Somehow? In a way they can help each other. Help Corrine to know no one's going try ot hurt or kill her and it's ok trust people, and get you sister to have an actual good friend. I'll be honest Corrine can be an annoying control freak, but she's a good friend."

Juneberry 05-04-2011 10:15 PM

"How should we do it? I can't just talk to my sister, I must admit...But I like the idea. I don't like the way she lives now, and even though I have no right to judge... I can tell it's a struggle. I got a call from her boss recently saying he wanted something like this to happen. But I don't think she knows how to relax around people, especially when she notices them as...interesting." He thought for a bit. "Is there a way we can get through to them?"

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 10:32 PM

He shrugged. "This is the part where i admit alcohol has no effect on me. so, you and you sister get drunk. that's your job. getting drunk relaxes people. After that I'll bring in Corrine. she's easier to be around in this environment. It'll be easy as cake by then." He explained, looking back at his sister who was stolen by random people on the dance floor.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 10:46 PM

"Wait... You want me to get drunk?" He looked at the other quizzically. "I don't really see how that would help with those two in particular....Unless you want them to worry- which my sister may or may not do... Well, actually, she's a worry wart. She would even if she does hate me." Shawn laughed, reluctantly calling the bartender for a shot of some sort of alcohol. "But what's the plan? I don't really see this as a plan yet...Mind filling me in?"

Tazha_bear 05-04-2011 11:40 PM

"Make something up for your sister and you to celebrate. If you both get drunk, no one's suspicious. If she asks, you can call a cab to give you a ride. Me and my sister magically run into you guys at the bar, we pretend like we were friends before now, and they get completely confused, than we explain things and try to get them together, you know, come over for dinner, movies certain nights or just hang out or crash at my place. As for where I got the tactics? Imagine sharing a mind with a girl when she's trying to get her best friend hitched. but trust me, this one will work. Right now i'm confusing my thoughts with a baby song so she'll think I'm just kidding around." he said than grinned. "tell her about the fiance thing. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm doing this for my sister, and maybe a bit for you guys. even now people need family to lean on, just consider me and my sister some kind of distant relative. We're literally there when you need us." He said, raising his newly filled glass and drinking before racing off.

Juneberry 05-04-2011 11:48 PM

Shawn listened quietly, but was clearly confused still. Despite it, he went back to his sister, assuming it was the right action due to the situation. "Hey," He noted, looking at his sister. She was already on her second drink, and the bartender seemed to be giving her a strange look, causing him to glare at the man. "You really need to tell those idiots off when they look at you like that."

"You're one to talk. Didn't you get hit on a lot while you were over there?" Of course, Chloe hadn't a clue what was going on- nor did she know he had never tried to dance.

"I met up with an old friend, actually...He really cheered me up. Actually, you know what? We should celebrate. Auntie's getting married. You're happy for her too, aren't you?"

"Yeah. Now she can't call us constantly complaining that she has no love life." Chloe laughed a bit with her brother at that one. And somehow, they did 'celebrate'. They talked pretty easily- and thus, Shawn assumed the plan was starting to go into action as they sat together enjoying a couple drinks- on him.

Tazha_bear 05-05-2011 04:32 PM

Corrin watched from not too far away, out of sight of both girls but still able to make eye contact with Shawn if need be, and when he knew they were both in good spirits he easily whispered something to the girl he was dancing with and than walked through the crowd.

he slowly broke through the people, grabbing his sister's arm gently. "Got someone i want you to meet." He told her, smiling.

She looked confused but simply followed him along to see two very familiar people.

Juneberry 05-06-2011 02:04 AM

((I still have writers block but... I am trying! I promise!))

To his surprise, Shawn had managed to make his sister laugh. When he noticed Corrin, he chuckles to himself slightly, already having decided he did know Corrin in the past- or at least, he seemed to have managed to make himself think it without remembering it wasn't true.

Chloe ordered another two drinks, this time with her own money- and her brother barely managed to hide his surprise at just how much she was drinking. "Easy now, I haven't caught up to you yet!" He laughed, and she just smiled oddly, twirling her hair around a finger as she took a sip of her drink- she was no longer on her fruit trail. She'd eased out of the sweet drinks, worried about her weight.

"Oh yeah, sis, I want you to meet my friend sometime."

"You better not be trying to set me up on a date, Shawn."

"Hell no. Why would I do something like that? I just think you two could get along well as friends."

Tazha_bear 05-06-2011 06:00 PM

corrin smiled, winking and held out his hand for her to shake. his sense of duty and dignity showed clearly. He looked like a true lawyer then. "Corrin Gates. Professional attorney." he said introducing himself. "and this is Corrine, great at multiple things, piano, being a psychiatrist and she's the best cook I've met so far." He said light heartedly.

Corrine looked from her brother to Shawn to Chloe. What was going on again?

Juneberry 05-06-2011 06:53 PM

Shawn, noticing Corrine's confusion, just smiled and held a hand out as well. Chloe seemed a bit out of it at that point and, though she did shake Corrin's hand, she was a tad dizzy in the head at that point, and thus hadn't noticed Corrine just yet.

"My name's Shawn Kitski. I'm also a psychiatrist and act as a nurse or physician's assistant in Russia. This girl here is Chloe- she's a great cook and known for her running, Corrin's mentioned you a lot. I'd love to try your cooking sometime. I'm only really used to Chloe's here- that and mine, which is far too horrible to mention."

Tazha_bear 05-06-2011 07:17 PM

Corrine laughed nervously. "Yeeeeah... Anyone care to tell me what's going on?" She asked, looking at Chloe. "Chloe, do you have ANY idea what they're talking about here. I'm confused as hell..." She said, looking around, clearly on the verge of panicking.

Juneberry 05-06-2011 07:50 PM

"Hell if I ever understand what's going through Shawn's head," Chloe replied with a nervous laugh as well. "He said he met someone he recognized...Is that what's going on, Shawn?"

"You betcha." Shawn grinned at her simply. Chloe looked at him quizzically in return. Something was off- but when it came to her brother, Chloe was horrible at figuring out what.

Tazha_bear 05-06-2011 08:31 PM

Corrine nodded. "Well... Umm..." Corrine tried to say something before her brother cut her off.

"Why don't you two go dance or something while we catch up, maybe fill you in at my place tonight?" he said, not giving them time to respond before he sat down and gave a guy-signal to lose interest in the matter again.

Juneberry 05-06-2011 08:49 PM

Shawn laughed. "Always such a busy-body. I'm sure you ahve a lot to fill me in on." Shawn grinned, nodding over to his sister to tell her to go enjoy herself. Against her better judgement, she just nodded, smiling to the other girl in a gentle manner.

"Care to dance?" She stood up, and though her breath did smell a bit testy with the alcohol, it was clear she only had a slight buzz. In reality, she just liked the idea of moving around instead of drinking for a bit.

Tazha_bear 05-06-2011 08:56 PM

Corrine shrugged. "Nothing better to do." She said simply, getting her a martini and going out on the dance floor.

Corrin grinned. "Worked. no where's my props?" He said jockingly.

[[sorry... writers block]]

Juneberry 05-06-2011 11:42 PM

Chloe didn't take her drink with her- she left it at the bar, going to the dance floor without an idea as to even how to dance.

When the two girls had gone, he let out a deep sigh before laughing. "Wait I didn't know I had to pay you for it."

Tazha_bear 05-07-2011 12:16 AM

Corrin laughed. "My idea worked with the two most stubborn hard to reach people ever. I think I should at least be called a genius...?" he said, but it was a simple joke as he waved the bar tender over. "Two drinks on me!" he said, smirking. "As i said, alcohol does not affect me at all so you, drink up, me, Designated driver." He said with a dark chuckle.

Corrine got onto the dancefloor and automatically began swaying to the music. it was second nature for her, so her body seemed to move perfectly to the music, even when it suddenly changed she seemed to know exactly what was coming up next.

Juneberry 05-09-2011 07:37 PM

"I can at least pay for your drink as compensation, can't I?" Shawn laughed, smiling to him. Taking his drink, he took a sip and let out a sigh. "We walked here anyway, so you don't really have to worry about it. Seems my sister is still relatively sober too. So we should be fine walking back. Thanks though."

Chloe wasn't much of a dancer, in the opposite way. She struggled to keep up with the music, her hazed eyes closed as she did so. Some seemed to look at her with interest anyway, but most found her dancing to be fairly plain. She did very minimal movements at that point- most of her 'dancing' was tapping her toes to the music.

Tazha_bear 05-09-2011 10:16 PM

Corrine laughed at her aquaintence and walked over to her. "Stop doing the country toe tapping. Just follow me, ok? If you really want to get you a dance partner..." she smiled and swayed her hips, throwing her head back, her hair and cropped jacket fell back out of the way, showing off the top of her chest and attracting almost half of the male dancers on the floor, plus a few females, before simply swaying her hips to the beat. "You have to be fluid with it. Ignore everyone else, just let go." she explained.

Corin laughed. "Nah, besides, I wasn't lying about the high school part." he said easily.

Juneberry 05-10-2011 06:26 PM

Chloe laughed as well. "I've never really danced before so I don't know how. I'm usually too clumsy and just fall down as soon as I try to do anything moderately decent." Smiling, she tried to keep an eye on Corrine to follow her movements, but unlike the girl, Chloe was much less graceful in general and, as a result, lost her balance easily- however, she didn't fall to the floor, but rather caught herself halfway.

"What high school part? I don't understand what you mean at all now..." Shawn noted. "I wonder if the alcohol's making me forgetful..."

((I don't remember what the high school part was either.))

Tazha_bear 05-10-2011 06:36 PM

[[ that they knew each other in high school. it was supposedly part of the "act" to get corrine and Chloe to talk again.]]

corrine sighed. "You're clumsy because you're trying to hard. Here." she said, going behind her. "this is how I was taught to dance. Just try to follow my movements." She said, putting her back against the other girl's and put their arms to where she would be able to tell how she raised them.

Corin smirked. "i did know you in high school, just never had time to talk to you." he stated simply, pushing back his dark hair.
