"He's gonna get caught." Denum said. "I don't care how the hell fast he is."

Red spotted a glowing room at the end of the dark hall and knew it was where he was meant to go. Something in there was calling out to him... pulling at him to come inside.

Red burst out all his speed- pushing himself fast than he ever had and crashing through the doors into the next room.

The world sped up to meet with him, his long hair flying into his face for a few seconds before it fell down around him in a main of flaming red.

Before him was a series of thick, tall tubes. Most of them were empty, but he was focused instead on the single one that was not...

In the center tube a form was floating, long dark hair spilling down almost to the knees of whoever it was. He could see a mask over the nose and mouth of whoever it was - a boy, from the look of things - and tubes running all around, connected up and down his arms, legs, sides, and even a few digging into his hands.

The boy reached out and pressed a hand against the glass, looking at Red with clouded silver eyes.

Red stared in shock a moment before running forward and touching the glass- his hand right up against the other boy's.

"What is this!?" A man in a lab-coat burst nearby. "Don't touch! Someone! There's a boy in here!"

"Get him out of here!" A woman shrieked. "He's contaminating the experiment!"

"Red!" Aireio cried as they finally came through the door, only to turn and gasp as a group of guards appeared. "Oh great, you idiot- you got us cau... who the hell is that!?"

LiSen's eyes shot around for a moment, before he turned to stare at the woman scientist. "Stop the drugs!"

As if controlled by some unknown force, she turned and flipped a switch. The purple liquid that had been feeding into the boy in the tube through the cords connected to him stopped instantly.

Red turned and flashed across the room to an emergency case with an axe in it. He drove his elbow through the glass and pulled it out before flashing back over to the tube and striking it. It wasn't glass that the tube was made of- he discovered -but some kind of ballistic plastic. The axe chipped a bit out though, so he pulled back to do it again.

"Stop him!"

Some of the guards were shouting as Aireio grabbed one and threw him on top of the others, while LiSen made another start shooting the others with his stun-gun.

The plastic cracked and liquid began to pour out. The boy inside pressed his hands up against it and although he didn't seem to push, it broke free, spilling onto the floor.

As Red stepped back he slipped out, long hair spilling over him in waves. The cords in his skin came out one by one, leaving pin-pricks of blood all over his pale skin.

Red stared down at him- panting for breath, but before he could get down to examine the boy a voice shot over to him.

"Get away from it!" Red looked up to see an older teenager with messy, light-brown hair pointing at him.

Who the hell was this guy? Were those the same scrubs the other kids wore? No, they weren't.

"Don't touch it!" Luda hissed- his eye beginning to glow brightly.

There was some kind of wind that whipped through the room, but that was impossible in this closed space. Beakers and other glass objects cracked and shattered loudly before all the electronics in the room began overload and burst. The lights flickered before the exploded and rained sparks down on everyone.

"The hell did you get us into~!?" Aireio snapped at Red as she grabbed LiSen and ducked down, covering her brother, her short hair flying around as the winds picked up.

The boy from the tube stumbled a bit, unsteady on his feet. To his surprise, he fell right into the open arms of someone in a lab coat, who wrapped a blanket around his naked form.

Looking up, he stared at the scientist in fear, but the light-haired man just gave him a soft smile.

"Luda, calm!" He cried at the new comer, holding the dark-haired boy close. "You are scaring him!"

Luda smirked.

"Good." He breathed coldly as he stepped forward.

He lifted his hand and the guards Aireio had been engaging were lifted off the ground- hovering suspended above the tile floor before they burst like melons stuff with firecrackers- spraying all over the walls.

LiSen cried out in horror and Aireio covered him once more, looking rather shell-shocked.

"Luda, stop!" The scientist cried. "What are you doing!?"

"Consorting with the enemy is...unforgivable." Luda said as he approached.

"Get back you psychotic FREAK!" Red held up the axe.

Lude snorted- looking very unimpressed.

"You think you have power?" He asked the redhead. "You think that toy is a weapon? You have no idea."

His face became serious and the wind picked up more the walls around them beginning to crack. Was the temperature rising in the room too? What the hell was going on? What was this guy? Red looked around before he spotted the fuse box nearby. he turned and throw the axe- sanding it cutting through the air. It slammed into the fuse box, which sparked and then exploded forcefully- blowing Luda back against the wall.

"Run for it!" Red shouted.

Dragging LiSen up, Aireio tugged on Denum and ran out the exit, trying to ignore the red stains beneath her bare feet as they went.

"Tobias!" The scientist cried at Red. "Tobiasa, please- please take him! Take him and get away! I'll hold Luda back!"

He rushed over to red and shoved the dark-haired boy into his arms.

"Please!" He begged.

"Good luck!" Red turned and ran with the boy in his arms.

The boy was much taller than him, but very thin and light as Red ran after everyone.

"Turn left!" Denum told Aireio. "I can get us outta here!"

Luda groaned and started to get up from the floor- his head spinning.

"There are a ton of guards that w- oh, duh, I'm talking to you," Aireio groaned, taking a left.

"Luda," The scientist whispered. "Why are you doing this? To your own brother...!"

"He's not my brother!" Luda screamed and the scientist was knocked flat as the room erupted again.

The others all fell over as the corridor shook before regaining themselves and running again. They burst through a set of open, electronic doors and right into what appeared to be a large hanger.

"Look!" Denum pointed at a grounded hovercraft. "I can get us out!"

"Do you know how to fly that thing!?" Aireio snapped.

"He doesn't need to," The boy in Red's arms said so suddenly that they all paused to look at him.

"Whatever... just get us over there!" Aireio snapped, making for the air craft.

"Stay with him!" LiSen cried. "He can only cover within ten feet of himself, Aireio!"

"Don't be such a pain!" Denum snapped at LiSen's sister before he slipped into the hovercraft. "Okay, everyone strap in, this think is big and the ride's gonna be rough!"

Red set down and buckled in the tall boy quickly. Across the way, the hangar doors opened and more guards began piling in.

Denum jumped away from the controls in alarm as they suddenly sprang to life without him having to touch anything.

"Hey, careful!" Aireio cried as she stumbled into her seat.

The craft lifted off - again without Denum touching anything - and Red found himself being pushed down into a seat, his belt buckling itself.

"Whoa, what the hell!" Red blinked.

The hovercraft turned wide as the guards started shooting at it and then rushed forward towards the large doors in the back. They looked like they were going to crash into it when all the weapons set off and blew a path right through.

"I didn't know you could fly this well!" LiSen breathed at Denum in shock.

Denum looked at his hands- frowning.

"...Neither did I..." He murmured.

One of the turrets on the wall turned and began laying down the fire with the anit-aircraft rounds. A few crashed hard into the side of the hovercraft and sent it spiraling into the thicket of lush greenery outside the boundaries of the facility. They crashed through the trees- branches and leaves and vines passing them on all sides as the metal bumped, ground and cracked. Then they hit and everything went black.

"What was that?" Kayen breathed as a loud series of noises came from the north. He turned, peering off in that direction. "A ship went down..."

"We should leave it alone." Domino murmured.

"Guards use ships Kayen." Chess snickered. "Silvers don't have to."

"I'm wondering if it was someone we know trying to escape," Kayen mumbled. "Or worse... Adam..."

"That wouldn't happen to be Commander Adamanti, would it?" Chess smirked at Domino- who remained blank as he watched Kayen.

"Duh!" Kayen snapped, his cheeks a bit pink. "What if he was coming after me and got shot down!?"

"If he was coming after you, it was to take you back in chains." Domino murmured- picking at his unlit collar.

"Adam isn't like that!" Kayen snapped. "Come on, we're going to go see what it was!"

He stormed off through the thick planets on the forest floor, navigating the uneven ground like he'd lived there his entire life.

"Some of flora is actually carnivorous." Chess pointed out as he followed with Domino behind him.

"I hope it eats you!" Kayen snapped in reply.

"I have something you could nibble on." Chess offered before Domino pushed in front of him.

"Kayen, why are we doing this?" Domino asked.

Stopping in mid-step, Kayen turned to look at the other. "Why? Do you want to go back?"

"I want to do what you want to do...I'd just like to know why you do it." Domino said evenly.

Staring at him for a long moment, Kayen let out a slow breath. "Because I'm tired of getting poked and prodded day after day... I'm tired of being nothing more then a number."

He reached out and gently touched Domino's sleeve covered hand.

"I want to be able to touch you again," He mumbled. "...Come on. We'll head the opposite way. Chances are the guards are checking it out. If we're lucky, we'll find a human city within a few days walk."

"You mean a home." Domino said. "That was what popped into your head."

Kayen didn't reply as he pulled away and started back in their original direction.

"...Smooth." Chess snickered to his brother. "Creep him out by telling him what he wants."

"I want what he wants." Domino said again before he started walking. "We want someplace to sleep and feel safe in."

"Whatever." Chess rolled his eyes and followed after them.

The world was blurry and out of focus. He could hear the sound of wind - something he only heard when using his abilities on the training fields - and could feel a soft breeze hitting him.

Opening his eyes, he found himself staring into a pair of silver ones.
