Curses! How is it not the best tasting one?!?!?! Stupid pumpkin spice, I thought they'd use actual like pumpkin flavoring. Well at least it wasn't gross!

i know i'm late to the party here...but i posted this pic a few weeks ago on my fb. and i think it applies for you as well:

also, i've never had the "real" stuff, but my sister says the flying cauldron butterscotch beer tastes almost spot on to the official one. i know here, our safeway stores sometimes have it in stock next to the virgil's line of sodas. but a lot of times it sells out quickly!

CactuarJoe 08-14-2017 09:24 AM

oh man that stuff is waaaay to sweet to me.

tsukiko 08-14-2017 09:26 AM

LOL! i usually make giggle potion with it

CactuarJoe 08-14-2017 09:45 AM

Giggle potion? what's in that?

tsukiko 08-14-2017 10:01 AM

LOL! it's just vanilla ice cream with the butterbeer poured over it, like a root bear float. the extra cream helps dilute the sweetness of the soda.

Ahahaha yes!
And also, I totally need to look into seeing if I can get that butterbeer where I live. Because I totally didn't know it existed.
O.O

tsukiko 08-14-2017 11:33 PM

\o/ yay i did a thing....for someone else xD *high-fives self*

nah, really...i've also seen it RARELY in ace hardware stores. most have by the registers a cooler with bottles of soda, the off the wall ones and/or vintage-y ones. we were getting them there when we saw them at safeway xD

Kaderin Triste 08-14-2017 11:49 PM

We have Ace hardware stores here...
>.>
Time to go hunting...

tsukiko 08-15-2017 12:16 AM

LOL! good luck <3

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2017 06:43 PM

I keep forgetting to check the Ace near my ine job. Probably because it's the opposite direction of my other job and my apartment.

tsukiko 08-17-2017 06:51 PM

LOL! maybe try your local supermarket?

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2017 07:03 PM

Haven't seen it at any of the ones I've been at recently (Albertsons and the tiny IGA that's 4 blocks from my apartment). And, again, the places that would be most likely to carry it are way out of the way. (Like...2 miles at least.)

tsukiko 08-17-2017 07:09 PM

did albertson's carry the virgil's sodas? (like ginger ale, cream soda, etc etc) i only ask cause safeway owns albertson's...so you'd think they'd have similar products xD flying cauldron isn't made by virgil's, but on the shelf, it's right next to those.

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2017 11:02 PM

Uhh....not 100% sure because I don't really drink soda, so I don't look at yhrm really, but I don't think they do/did at the one here.

tsukiko 08-17-2017 11:03 PM

boooooooo :( i don't really drink soda either. every once in awhile...

Kaderin Triste 08-18-2017 01:35 AM

If I don't forget tomorrow night, I'll swing into Albertsons when I get off work to check and also maybe buy something for a late dinner.

XoGizmooX 08-18-2017 01:43 AM

Buy it online maybe???

tsukiko 08-18-2017 02:08 AM

LOL it's expensive online xD

XoGizmooX 08-18-2017 02:12 AM

Oh yeah I wasn't thinking :/

I am checking out my stores now

tsukiko 08-18-2017 02:16 AM

xD sorry, it's just after we found the single bottles, we searched and searched. finally i looked it up online. that's how i know it's expensive xD then the next time we found it at the ace, we went grocery shopping and lo and behold, it was sitting down the drink aisle xD

XoGizmooX 08-18-2017 02:39 AM

I saw $16 for a 12 pack online or $5.47 a 4 pack in stores

Aparantly according to the where to buy it near me thing it's at H-E-B, Albertsons, and Walmart, and I know a few candy shops that have the rare drinks and old candies would carry it

I want to hit Target for Jones soda it's been a while since I had any but I want more candy corn soda if they still got it since Halloween is near that flavor should be out if they still make that one

tsukiko 08-18-2017 08:46 AM

you weren't figuring in shipping though....that's what jacks up the price even more D:

I should try this!

tsukiko 08-21-2017 08:52 PM

it's goooood! xD

Kaderin Triste 08-22-2017 04:29 PM

Hokay, so checked Albertons. They have 2 Virgil's sodas, but not the butterbeer.
Will check at Ace next chance I get, but I'm not expecting to find it at this point.

tsukiko 08-23-2017 02:09 AM

awwww....was there even a spot for it by those? or you didn't check?

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 06:23 PM

Nope no spot for them. Full shelves. No butterbeer.
*weeps*

tsukiko 08-23-2017 06:36 PM

what poopheads xD

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 06:40 PM

Right?
Also, I need to remember to finish my updating of the drink reviews from the coffee shop eventually. I have tried all forms of them, but haven't kept up with that...not that I think it actually matters that much.

Also, I found out a couple weeks back that the coffee shop is doing a raffle at the end of the month for a free gift card for a month's worth of coffee (I assume like a set amount equal to probably just 1 or 2 drinks per week), and a pottery mug! I think I have around 10 entries so far...
>.>

tsukiko 08-23-2017 06:52 PM

hahahah i'm interested in the reviews, even though it's a locally done thing. i'd stil like to know your opinions ^__^ and fingers crossed you win! xD not that anyone needs that much coffee in their life :P but do it for the mug!

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 10:22 PM

Wellll...I'm 100% not a morning person, but now with my one job, I have to be awake by 6am.
I need that much coffee.

tsukiko 08-23-2017 10:23 PM

bwhahaahhahaaaa okay, but in moderation, dearie *hugs*

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 10:27 PM

Lol. I usually only do one coffee per day. And those only on the days I have an early shift.

tsukiko 08-23-2017 10:33 PM

gotcha xD someone's gotta look out for your heart you know :P

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 10:36 PM

I mean, I'm pretty sure that one espresso drink per day isn't going to kill my heart, especially with how much excercise I get just walking to work.

tsukiko 08-23-2017 10:38 PM

LOL! ok ok

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2017 10:40 PM

Haha. I promise that my heart will be okay for at least a few more years. XD
