Potironette 11-12-2016 10:15 AM

Luck shrugged, "Strolling around, I guess. Not much to do really, since I already ate lunch and all. I was trying to find Cork and Fran to tell them we're good."

"Do you normally eat outside here?" He asked.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:18 AM

He nodded in acknowledgement, mouth still full. He chewed quickly, and swallowed. "Usually... Or I'll spend my lunch period in the library or one of the computer labs." He said, shrugging slightly, as if it was common knowledge.

Potironette 11-12-2016 11:07 AM

"The computer lab and library?" Luck smiled, thinking it was rather fitting, "I don't go there much. Most of the times, I wander around the hallways making up ideas about how to beat people up." Realizing what he said, Luck's smile faded. He didn't really have much to do outside of hatching plans for him and Blitzel and Cork and Fran to carry out.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 11:19 AM

Rune gave a half-smile, unsure how to reply to that. "Well... If you wanted something else to do, instead..." He started, a little nervous at his suggestion. "I, um... I could help you with your math and english work?"

Potironette 11-12-2016 11:46 AM

Luck's face lit up as he leaned forward, "That'd be great!" He exclaimed, barely able to contain his excitement. "I don't understand anything we learned starting three months ago."

Luck considered pulling out his math notebook, but that didn't have any notes on them anyway. He decided against it.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 11:48 AM

Rune smiled, and pulled out his notes and textbook. "We're using the same book, right?" Often time different classes used different books, especially if they were in different levels...

Potironette 11-12-2016 11:57 AM

"Yeah." Luck replied in assent. He barely made it to same level class as Blitz because of his help. Granted, he was always skirting the borders of a failing grade, but he recognized Rune's textbook nonetheless.
"Math for fun and enjoyment" the cover said. Luck almost snickered.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 12:00 PM

"Do you remember what chapter you were on when you stopped understanding any of it?" Rune asked, opening the cover and flipping through to the chapter guide.

Potironette 11-12-2016 12:07 PM

"Chapter 3." Said Luck, racking his brains. "Somewhere in the middle of that."

Kitarun 11-12-2016 12:10 PM

Rune nodded, flipping to the start of chapter three. "We'll start at the beginning, and work our way through til we figure out exactly where you started messing up." He said, putting the textbook down to flip through his notes as well.

Potironette 11-12-2016 12:19 PM

Luck watched as Rune flipped through the textbook. He took out a pencil and notebook from his bag. "Alright." He said in agreement.

((I'm going to be off now, to continue researching for my history paper's thesis, I'm sort of behind the class in this paper-writing thing ^^;;))

Kitarun 11-12-2016 12:25 PM

((Okies... Sorry for the vagueness of this post... I have no idea what they'd be learning right now))

Rune went through the text with Luck, filling in detail when he'd get a blank or confused look from the blond. Rune's teacher had a habit of actually explaining things in a way that the students could understand, unlike Luck's teacher, who seemed to think of themselves more as a university professor, with the way-above-level lectures.

Potironette 11-12-2016 05:35 PM

((It's fine ^^. I've got no clue either. I'm just ripping stuff out of my textbook))

Luck scribbled in his notebook as he listened to Rune, surprised that he could understand it when Rune explained the text. He learned for the first time what a parabola really was, and in fact, what graphs really were. Numbers turned into pictures and the pictures changed with numbers. Luck found himself grinning, Rune was a good teacher. Maybe he would do better on his next test.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 05:44 PM

Rune smiled as he looked up, catching that slightly stunned look of comprehension finally dawning upon Luck. He paused in his reading, cocking his head a little. "Any questions? Or are you finally beginning to understand everything your teacher failed to teach you?"

Potironette 11-12-2016 06:22 PM

"Yeah," Said Luck nodding, "I finally get it." He looked at Rune, smiling, "You're a much better teacher than my math teacher could ever be." He pulled a face, "If the math teacher taught as you did, then maybe everyone would respect him a lot more."

Kitarun 11-12-2016 06:37 PM

Rune laughed softly. "That's how my teacher taught it to us... Plus she gave plenty of examples, and showed us exactly how to solve each one, step by step..." He replied, closing up his textbook as the bell rang. "I'll copy my notes for you tonight, and give them to you tomorrow, okay? You can read through them yourself, and come to me if you have any questions. I'm not giving you any answers, though I will show you how to work out the formulas."

Potironette 11-12-2016 06:46 PM

Luck nodded, "Thanks Rune." A look of appreciation lit up his face, "It really helps."

He closed his math notebook and placed it into his bag. Next class was science. Science was relatively fun for Luck, when the teacher dropped things, anyway.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 06:50 PM

Science was one of the classes he and Luck shared. Packing his books up, he cleaned up his lunch, before climbing to his feet. "So, Luck... Um... What exactly is going on now? Obviously you're not bullying me anymore, but... What are we?" He asked, nervously biting his lip and clutching tight to the strap of his messenger bag with one hand, his books in his other arm.

Potironette 11-12-2016 09:06 PM

Luck's eyes darkened as he saw Rune turn timid again. Something flipped inside him as he watched Rune bite down on his lip. As he watched how Rune's fingers delicately tightened on the strap of the messenger bag. On a sudden impulse, he stood up and leaned suddenly towards Rune, ignoring the students around them.

"Who said I wasn't bullying you anymore?" He whispered, his voice suddenly husky. He pulled up Rune's chin, "What is bullying really?"

((Umm, so I'm comfortable with writing scenes but I just don't know when it's appropriate to make Luck do stuff like that ^^;; I feel like it miiight be appropriate now..maybe? Not used to the genre. I've only read dub-con bordering on non-con once in my life ^^;;))

Kitarun 11-12-2016 09:28 PM

((*squeaks* oh, um... Yeah, maybe not the best place to do it, being in the middle of the school grounds and such, but the timing is definitely good))

Rune's breath hitched, cheeks flushing as Luck was suddenly very close. He trembled slightly, having a hard time keeping his eyes locked on Luck's, instead of darting around, looking for an escape route.

"Ahh... Um, well, I-I kinda assumed... Y'know, since you were being so nice, 'n you told the twins not to, anymore..." He said, biting his lip once more as he trailed off.

Potironette 11-12-2016 09:53 PM

((Yeah, definitely not the best place to do it. Which is also why I'm just making the scene and breaking it up super fast.))

Luck traced a finger over the bottom of Rune's lip. "What do you think bullying is?" He repeated heavily.
But now the students were rushing to get into science class, and Luck dropped his hand. He gave Rune a slow smile, the corners of his mouth creeping upwards. Then he turned, the moment lost, and headed inside along with the rest of the students.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:07 PM

Rune was at a loss for words as Lucifer turned and walked away, the moment broken. He was left standing there, flushed and trembling, though in a good way, for once. He hadn't had a chance to answer Luck's question, so had a little bit of time to think about it. Obviously, it was the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others.... But it could be so much more than just that, as well, and so much less, at the same time.

Potironette 11-12-2016 10:14 PM

As Luck walked into the science classroom, he thought about what had just occurred, and inwardly his heart raced, though his countenance did nothing to show it. He realized then, that perhaps he had always bullied Rune because there was something to the boy that just made him want to, well, he didn't finish the thought. Or rather, he didn't know how to articulate it. The feeling of storm clouds swirling over the eye, he thought, it was something like that.

Luck didn't really know what a bully meant to others. But to him, it was a sort of large presence. Like a storm.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:16 PM

When Rune finally snapped out of his stupir, he rushed off to class, barely making it before the bell. He quickly took his seat on the opposite side of the room from Luck, not wanting to draw anyone's attention.

Potironette 11-12-2016 10:27 PM

Luck settled into his seat, smirking a little at Rune as he entered.
The science teacher began the roll-call.

"Lucifer." Said the science teacher.

Luck frowned. Since when did the science teacher get a new roll-call list? His name was Luck, and he'd made that clear from the beginning.

"Lucifer?" Repeated the science teacher. "Lucifer Aspen, is he absent?"

"It's Luck." Luck said, ominously. "I'm Luck Aspen."

The science teacher marked down the name, "Alright, Luck." He moved onto the next name.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:31 PM

Rune looked a little surprised when the teacher called for Luck by his full name. Really, he'd forgotten that the teen's name wasn't actually Luck, that that was just a nickname. He hoped that the teacher- and whoever had made the new list- would have remembered he went by his second name, and not his first. Nobody but his father called him Joshua.

Potironette 11-12-2016 10:40 PM

Luck preferred Luck over Lucifer. Who wanted to be called a fallen angel anyway? He thought to himself. Lucifer certainly wasn't lucky.

"Moat?" The teacher asked. Someone mentioned their name was pronounced "mat" instead. the teacher tripped over multiple other names before he pronounced "Joshua."

((Just curious, was Rune mentioning 'Lucifer' intentional? I figured that since Rune called him Lucifer he might as well be Lucifer.))

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:44 PM

((Eh? When did he do that? Heheh, obviously not intentional...)

Rune flinched as the teacher called his first name. "It's Rune..." He corrected the teacher, nearly glaring at the professor. "Really, you've been teaching us all year- how hard is it, really, to remember our names?"

Potironette 11-12-2016 10:48 PM

(("Rune was at a loss for words as Lucifer turned and walked away"))

The teacher paused in the roll-calling, "Well," she said, "When you have 40 plus students every class we'll see how well you remember." The old lady stared at Rune and the rest of the class.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 10:52 PM

Rune glared back, but didn't say anything else. It really aasn't that hard to remember someone's name if you actually took the time and effort to learn it.

((Ah, no. Unintentionslal. I just finished reading a SPN fanfic, and lucifer was one of the last words to the chapter. Mustve been stuck in my mind. Sorry))

Potironette 11-12-2016 11:02 PM

The teacher ignored Rune's glare and moved onto the other students. Some names were butchered. Some names were not.

"Alright Class," She said when she finished taking the roll call, "We are learning about forces today. Please do the Do Now."

((Ohh, okay. It's fine ^^. I need to edit to front page though xD))

Kitarun 11-12-2016 11:06 PM

((Do the do? XD))

Rune pulled his textbook out, along with his science notebook, though he didn't particularly care about the lesson anymore. The teacher had put him in a nasty mood. NOBODY except his father called him Joshua. All the teachers were told this every year at the start of term. Even the substitutes were warned about it.

Potironette 11-12-2016 11:24 PM

The teacher wasn't one for following exceptional rules the school gave sometimes. She was old, and quite sure of her place in the room.

She waited for the students to copy down the Do Now then addressed the class while holding out a piece of chalk, "Someone come up and draw a free body diagram for the ball rolling on the ground."
---
Luck glanced over a Rune. So his name was 'Joshua'? Rune didn't look particularly happy about it, he noticed. In fact, Rune looked furious. Luck was surprised. This was the first time he'd seen Rune so angry.

Luck ignored the teacher. Science class was good when the teacher dropped things. It wasn't when she felt like being a teacher.

Kitarun 11-12-2016 11:30 PM

Rune pretty well ignored the teacher for most of the class, only jotting down the assignment and homework, before getting up and leaving the moment the bell rang, not caring that the old bitch called sfter him, saying she wasn't finished, and that she dismissed them, not the bell. He had another class to get to, and really didnt feel like being late- or around the science teacher linger than necessary.

Potironette 11-13-2016 12:04 AM

Luck saw Rune get up and leave as the bell rang. Yep, definitely angry. Luck got up himself. When a teacher's authority was challenged by one person, and the teacher was generally disliked, students generally could care less about respecting the teacher.
As he thought, everyone else got up and a hurry and left.
The teacher looked rather red with fury.
Luck exited the door, after Rune. He had history class next.

Kitarun 11-13-2016 12:07 AM

Rune had his programming class. Just perfect. He needed something to distract himself.

Reaching the computer lab his class was held in, he entered, grabbing the best computer and starting it up. As well as unpacking his laptop. He knew that the teacher likely had an actual lesson planned before he lrt them work on their projects.

Potironette 11-13-2016 12:12 AM

Luck entered his history class and picked a random seat. The seats in history class were arranged in a horse-shoe fashion around the walls. It was supposed to encourage discussion, or something.

The history teacher walked in, and the gaggle of students quieted. They liked this history teacher, so they were well-behaved.

Kitarun 11-13-2016 12:27 AM

Not surprising, it was only a quick lesson before they were given free reign of the room, Rune delving straight into his project, distracting himself from reality while coding took over his brain.

Potironette 11-13-2016 12:34 AM

The history teacher took out a piece of chalk and went to the front of the class, ignoring the board. She began lesson with a few passionate words about the some wars in the past.

Luck listened and absorbed, like much of the rest of the class. It was always a joy to be in a class with someone obviously passionate about their work, after all.

Kitarun 11-13-2016 12:42 AM

Rune lost himself in his project, calming slowly as he forgot about the idiot in science. So lost in his work, he didn't notice when the bell rang, until the teacher tapped him on the shoulder. "I love that you're so into your project, Rune, but school's over now. We should get going, before they lock us into the building." His teacher joked, causing Rune to crack a smile as well. He packed up and headed for his locker, dumping the books he didn't need. He made sure to grab his math notes, having to copy them out for Luck that night.
