Starting to get a headache, Don rubs the bridge of his nose before finally giving up and telling Vincent, "I paid for your tuition after I saw you getting picked on by those pricks earlier today. I figured you could use something to cheer you up after they just wouldn't leave you alone. I had my mom use my account to pay for the classes. That's what I meant by being handled, everything has been paid in full. Can we please drop it now?" Sulking he leans against the counter waiting for Vincent's reaction.
Vincent frowns, bowing his head a bit as he thinks. "But why? That....doesn't make sense to me." He says, shaking his head a bit. People don't do things without expecting something in return so that can't be all, can it? He looks up at him, head tilted a bit. He just looks so very confused yet again. "Why would you do that?"
"Hmm...basically because I felt like it, I didn't really have any reason to, just did. My mom was also shocked by my request, she probably never expected me to do that to be honest." Barking and growling can be heard as Wolfie paces back and forth near the door, having sensed Don upset about something. Sighing he scratches his head, "I better go out there real quick and calm Wolfie down." Getting up he walks over to the door and slips out before Wolfie can push her way in.
Vincent just frowns at his words. "But that makes no sense." His brain cannot compute it at the moment. He's never had anyone that wanted to help without expecting something in return, be it something small or big. He does kind of edges away from the door a bit. Wolfie may not want to bite his face off, but Wolfie is still big and a wolf. "Alright then..." He says. He ends up pouting though he doesn't realize it as he thinks.
After a few minutes Don finally gets Wolfie to calm down, sending her back off to guard the property. Coming in he closes the door behind him, seeing the pout on Vincent's face. He freezes there for a moment just staring at his pout. Without thinking he goes over to Vincent, putting his arms on either side of him as he leans in close to him and stares into his eyes.
"You don't want to know how that expression makes me feel, I don't know what I might do to you." His face is a bit flush and his heart beat picks up. He didn't understand how or why he was acting this way but he couldn't help it. |
Vincent is probably thinking too much on this, but his brain cannot accept that Don did that for nothing so he's trying to figure out what Don wants in exchange. He kind of jumps and squeaks when Don is suddenly there and so very close at the moment. "What?" He kind of squeaks, surprised. He knows exactly what Don means, though he doesn't realize what expression he had on his face. His body does feel a bit warm at the moment.
"That pout you had on your face, when I see it I want to do something to make it go away." Staring at Vincent intently his face slowly inches closer, then he moves his head so that his mouth is near Vincent's ear. "I don't know what this feeling is but you're the first person to ever make me feel this way..." He just stands there, really close to Vincent, as if taking comfort in his presence. "There's so many urges of things I want to do to you now because of that pout that you had, all of which seems embarrassing, but I still want to do them." Pulling his head back his looks into Vincent's eyes again. Suddenly he leans in and gives him a kiss.
Vincent can't help but try and lean away, even if it isn't impossible. People being this close makes him nervous. Don being this close makes him nervous, but that's not all. His brain is not co-operating right now. He wants to put space between them. He blushes and shivers a bit with how close Don is. It isn't entirely unpleasant, him being this close. "What...what kind of things?" He says before swallowing a bit, not knowing if he wants to know the answer. He makes a little noise at the kiss, but he isn't trying to pull away. He isn't sure what to do. Part of him wants to give in, but another part doesn't understand.
Seeing Vincent's reaction to him, his body begins to feel like its burning up. Pulling back from the kiss, he looks Vincent in the eyes, his voice taking on a seductive pitch, "I want to make you mine." Wrapping one arm around Vincent's back, he holds him steady as he leans in and begins nibbling and kissing at the base of Vincent's neck. His other hand caressing Vincent's hair. "I want you to belong to me alone, Vincent."
Vincent just looks at him with wide eyes, surprised at what's going down right now. He definitely didn't expect this to happen to say the least. He kind of shivers, hearing Don's voice, it has an effect on him. He shivers, making a little noise at the nibbling and all. That's when his brain finally starts to work again and he tries to push Don away. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. This is going too fast here." And Don is acting a bit possessive.
Hearing Vincent say that he stops and straightens, "So you're not feeling better than?" Letting go of him he takes a few steps back, looking like a sad puppy. "I thought that would make you feel better, what with your pouting and all. Sorry about that..." He hurries back upstairs to his room, flopping down onto his bed.
"What the hell did I just do? I probably scared the shit out of him, and myself, by doing that." Sighing he rolls onto his side so that his back is to the door. "He'll probably want to keep his distance now..." |
Vincent is a bit overwhelmed at the moment. He did not expect Don to do any of this to say the least. Not the tuition thing nor the possessive trying to claim thing. He just doesn't know how to react to it or anything. He tries to say something, but he can't get any words out. And then Don is gone.
He ends up following after Don, just peeking into his room. He's confused, it's not like he hated what Don was doing. He's just so very confused about it all. "Why did you do that?" He asks softly. |
"...Honestly I don't know, I just felt like I had to...I can't put it any other way." Don sighs, not sure what's going to happen now. He thought he had finally found a person to be friends with, since he just got this weird pull towards Vincent. But after what happened that was probably shot now.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to...its not like I can make you stay. Just tell my mom when you want to leave, its probably better if she takes you home..." Not once does he turn over to look at Vincent, his chest feeling like he was having trouble breathing. |
Vincent doesn't hate him or anything, he's just confused. Why did Don do that and why did he like it. It doesn't make any sense to him. "Okay then..." And he definitely doesn't understand Don's why. But then again he has no way to explain why he liked it.
"Do....do you want me to leave?" He asks softly, looking down. He doesn't want to leave....he doesn't have many friends really, especially since he moved to come to college. |
Sighing, Don rolls over to his other side so that he can look at Vincent, "I don't want you to go, but what I did probably freaked you out, which I never meant to do. I'm just sulking since I scared you like that, thinking you wouldn't want anything more to do with me..." getting up he seats himself Indian style on the bed. "How about this, since you've heard a lot about my past why don't you tell me some things about yourself. You haven't really said much about your family except that you would help around the house and all. What's your family like?"
Vincent tilts his head a bit as Don talks. "Well, it's not like you just kept going or anything once I didn't want to." He says. Now that would've ended with him wanting nothing more to do with Don. And him trying to pay Don back for the tuition which would probably happen either way. He kind of tenses at the question. "Ah....I really don't have one?" He's not used to talking about himself to say the least.
""Huh? But you were saying something before about helping around at home and stuff, I had assumed you meant your parents. And you can sit on my bed, I promise not to jump you again as long as you don't pout." He watches Vincent, curious about what happened for him to say he didn't have any fmaily. It's not something that happens often, but probably happens more often than it should anyways.
"So if you have no family, where are you staying? Do you have your own place and do you have a job?" Don decides that when he take sVincent back home he's like to see his place. If he didn't like it or didn't think Vincent should be living there he would make Vincent move in with him, its not like they didn't have the room and his parents would probably be estatic about having someone for him to be around besides being by himself all the time. |
Vincent shakes his head a bit. "Foster homes." He says simply. "Not sure if my real parents died....or maybe they just didn't want me....either way, foster homes. Usually with quite a few others, so someone had to try and help at least." He shrugs again. "Don't want the guardians breaking under the pressure or anything."
"A small apartment. I like it at least." He knows where everything is and he feels like he belongs there. "Yeah, it's good enough to pay for the place, especially since they go by income there." He smiles a bit. It isn't perfect, but it isn't horrible either. |
"Ah, so that's how it is for you. Not many places rent out apartments and such based on a person's income, you were really lucky to find that place. And if you don't feel comfortable sitting on the bed with me you can sit in the chair at my desk, it should be comfortable enough for talking anyways." Vincent not sitting down on the bed with him did make him sad, but he didn't want Vincent to see that so he just kept a neutral look on his face. He got the feeling that Vincent might get upset if he got upset, what with the question he asked earlier about not wanting him there.
"Yeah, I know I'm lucky on that front. I need a place like that....or I don't know where I'd be able to stay at this point." Vincent says simply. He ends up sitting down, but he decides to sit on the edge of the bed, kind of perched there as he looks around, curious about the room a bit. "Nice room." He says softly.
"Thanks, I've been thinking of painting the walls, they've been white for as long as I can remember. I used to have music notes painted on them, but after I was banned from competitions I wanted them painted over. There's a lot of room that's not being used here, so I can easily add in that other bookcase I mentioned before. Do you want to go with me later on and help pick out some wood? I can show you how to make one if you'd like." Leaning back he stretches out on the bed behind Vincent, his feet at the head of the bed as he tilts his head off the edge of the foot of the bed.
""I like the idea of music notes on the walls." Vincent says, smiling a bit at the thought. He wouldn't think it childish or anything of the like. He nods a bit. "I can go with you....and that'd be nice." He says smiling. "Would you help me make it...if I needed help at least?" He asks.
Chuckling Don smiles at him, "If I'm showing you how to make one then of course I can help you make one as well. But that will have to wait for a day when we both have time, and I don't know what your work schedule is, so I'll have to wait until after that. I'll give you my number so that you can call me and let me know, alright?" Getting up he walks over to his desk, taking a sheet of paper from something meant to be a shopping list and writes down his information. Sitting back down on the bed he hands it to Vincent. "And if you ever need my help with something just give me a call, okay?"
Vincent smiles a bit. "Hey, some people take showing as just showing and being done." He says, shrugging a bit. "I'll check the schedule at work and let you know what times I have off." Sometimes he doesn't have an actual day off, not if school is included. He takes the paper, folding it up after looking at it and putting it in his pocket. He just nods. "Alright, I will." He won't. Don has helped enough already. He's not going to ask for more.
"So, what do you want to do for the rest of the night? We can watch tv in the living room, we can play some more, I have some games on my computer you can try out or we can play with the dogs. I know Bobbie took a liking to you, and Wolfie will be fine as long as I'm playing with her until she gets used to you." When talking about the computer games he indicates the compact disc cases he has for the ones on his desk. There's one for a really old DOS game called 'Loom' in the stack.
Vincent tilts his head a bit as he thinks about what he'd like to do at the moment. He smiles a bit at the mention of the dogs. "Can we do that? Play with the dogs?" He does like animals, including big scary ones. "And then we can do whatever you want to do?" Assuming it's not too late by then at least.
Smiling, Don gets up and stretches, "Playing with the dogs it is then!" He heads downstairs and opens up the back door for the patio, the dogs instantly running over to see who they are. Smelling that its Don before they get to him, they leap up at him so that they are on their hind legs to give him kisses. Seeing Vincent, Wolfie huffs at him while Bobbie wags her tail happily. Getting down from Don Bobbie trots over to Vincent and leaps up at him so she can lick his face.
Vincent just smiles at him before following after him. He does stand back a bit when the dogs run over. He'll let them notice Don first. He does smile, it's cute how they act around Don and everything. He just pet Bobbie, scratching her head a bit when she leaps up. "Glad you like me too." He likes any animal that doesn't try to eat him pretty much.
Backing up and barking at Vincent, Bobbie jumps around then couches low trying to get him to chase her. Her tongue rolls out and her tail wags back and forth crazily.
"She want you to chase her or else throw something for her to chase. She's very good at fetch." While Don explains Wolfie picks up a nearby stick, holding it out for Don to grab. Taking hold of it she begins to try tugging it free from his grip, a bit of a playful growl can be heard from her. |
Vincent laughs a bit, seeing how excited the puppy is to play and everything. "I can definitely do that." He says, smiling. For now, he'll chase until he gets tired. And so, he kind of tries to pounce on Bobbie. Why not? Long as they're having fun at least.
Smiling with her tongue out, Bobbie easily doges Vincent, barking at him as if she's laughing before dashing off again. Don laughs as he watches the two's antics while Wolfie just continues to play tug with him. She lets out a huff when she sees Vincent's pounce fails, like she's laughing at how silly of a human he is. After a while, Bobbie suddenly turns around and pounces at Vincent, trying to pin him under her.
Vincent chuckles a bit, knowing he isn't actually going to catch Bobbie unless Bobbie wants to be caught. But he'll still play, chasing after her, trying to pounce as well. He kind of squawks as Bobbie pounces on him, trying to squirm out from underneath her.
Satisfied with winning the game, Bobbie yawns and lays down right on top of Vincent, showing no indication that she plans on moving off of him.
"Would you like for me to make her get off? Looks like you could use some help." Don laughs a bit nervously while Wolfie lets go to bark at Bobbie a couple times. Which rewards her with an ear flick from Bobbie, which Wolfie gives her a snarl in return, as if promising punishment later. For now she goes back to her game with Don of tugging at the stick to make him let go. |
"I take it back. I don't like you." Vincent says as he tries to squirm out from underneath Bobbie, not wanting to be a body pillow right now.
He just sighs heavily. "Yeah, that's be nice. I'm gonna overheat with her on top of me." He says, somewhat joking at least. "Help me Wolfie." He says when she starts barking at Bobbie. |
Letting go of the stick Don walks over to Vincent and bops Bobbie on the nose. She bolts up right and looks at Don, who raises a brow at her. Whimpering a bit she gets off of Vincent and slinks over to Wolfie. When Don had let go, Wolfie had made a grumbling sound, obviously not wanting Don to have stopped playing with her. So when Bobbie comes over she drops the stick and snaps at Bobbie's tail, missing just by a hair. Which in turn earns a yelp from Bobbie who then goes back to Dona nd hides between his legs.
"Great, now Bobbie is being a sissy because she doesn't like Wolfie bossing her around. Come on Bobbie, Wolfie is just disciplining you for laying on Vincent like you did. See? She's not trying to bully you." Wolfie can be seen laying down next to the stick she had dropped, waiting for someone to play with her. |
"I feel squished." Vincent says simply, and once Bobbie moves, he gets up before he can be used as a body pillow again. He can't help but snort at the interaction between the two wolves. "I wouldn't be thrilled either if my fun was interrupted." He says shrugging a bit.
He ends up picking up the stick. "Wanna play?" He asks Wolfie, kind of shaking the stick a bit. He'll play long as the animal doesn't try to bite him. Same goes for humans as well. |
Eying the stick that Vincent is waving, she waits for a while, then when it looks like he's giving up on trying to get her attention she lunges and grabs hold of the stick. She tugs on it much harder than she had done to Don, mostly because she knows better than to do it to Don, but Vincent was not someone she'd submit to easily. Sighing, Don shakes his head and looks on the ground for another stick, grabbing it and clicking his tongue to get Bobbie's attention.
"Here, I'll play with you girl." He tosses the stick a fair distance away, Bobbie jumping up and chasing after it. |
Vincent frowns a bit when it seems like Wolfie doesn't want to play. "Was just offering." He kind of mumbles before squawking when Wolfie decides to finally play. He almost loses the stick, but lucks out on grabbing it. "Oh, I see you. That's not funny." He tugs on it, trying to take the stick back from her. Now that she did that, he has to get it back now.
Victorious, Wolfie prances around with the stick in her mouth, as if proving that she's better than him. Then she stops to let Vincent have a chance at grabbing it, a playful growl rumbling from her throat.
"She's just proving she's got higher ranking in the pack hierarchy, don't pay her too much mind. If you act like you could careless about her doing that she might accept you as being her superior. But right now you're an Omega that's weaker than her in her mind. Even more so because I introduced you to her." |
Vincent just makes this unhappy face at the moment. "I don't want to play with you." But he doesn't want to be a body pillow for Bobbie either. He can't bite at a wolf when he's annoyed so he just won't play. At Don's words, he just turns an even unhappier face at him. He isn't good at pretending that he doesn't care. "Not playing tug of war with that one...sneaky tricks."
