But where's the fun in not chatting?

In that case, the fun is in the mistaken hopes of a chance of winning an auction which only one can win, leading to broken hearts and shattered dreams and widespread depression.

Chatting is SO much more fun. :p-cool:

You mean we're not all going to get trophies at the end? I don't know if I can bare having just one winner. ;)

SolarCat 11-04-2014 07:14 PM

You're all winners in my book!
But no trophies. :P

Google finds some awesome stuff. :)
Also, I believe you meant 57 AU, since my post had 56 AU (sorry, it was buried under the pennies), so...

58 AU.

Awen Moonshine 11-05-2014 04:04 PM

Oooh! Pennies ^_^

I bid 59 AU! ^_^

Yeladim 11-05-2014 07:59 PM

Espy 11-06-2014 08:19 PM

That's it for me today. TTFN

It's essentially a piggy bank, but it's shaped like a geisha and I put all my spare small change in there and when it gets full I take it into my bank and put it in my savings ^_^

64 AU

That's a cool idea.
I just tend to spend my change so I don't carry around more of it.

Yeladim 11-07-2014 01:16 PM

About 10 years ago someone in south San Diego filled up a 5 gallon water bottle with change. It took him about 5 years to do it and they started a savings account for their kid with the money.

Awen Moonshine 11-07-2014 02:12 PM

I very rarely go out let alone spend my money in shops these days so it takes me a lot longer to fill than it used to. I buy nearly everything online or my partner buys it on his way home from work... The only time I really get to spend money in shops is Christmas and when I go to conventions/expos...

Tiva 11-07-2014 03:44 PM

67

we fill up the change jars and use them for christmas gift money.

68 AU

That's a good idea.
Usually I try and do my Christmas shopping throughout the year. After all, if you run across something through your travels over the year, what are the odds of finding it again around Christmas time? Not to mention, it spreads out the expenses which is useful.

Typically I'm at least half done well before Thanksgiving. This year I'm far behind that, but to be fair, quite a few people have put in requests for my Oreo Truffles for Christmas, and I can't really make them this far in advance! Cream cheese only keeps for so long, after all...

Tiva 11-07-2014 04:46 PM

69 au *Snorts and tries to act like an adult*

Yeah, I have my Mom done and I am cutting out sibling gifts this year and only getting it for my nieces and nephew. So I have Alpha, my stepfather (so just getting him another knife or a typical guy gift), and my grandmothers to buy for left.

Awen Moonshine 11-07-2014 06:03 PM

70 AU

I have to buy things throughout the year as I have to get gifts for my 2 sisters and brother, my mum, nan, aunt and her new baby and my partner... plus my mum, brother and partner have birthdays within a month before Christmas.. -_- But there is still always a mad dash to get gifts before visiting to drop them off... ^_^;;

Yeladim 11-07-2014 07:46 PM

71 AU

It is WAY too early to be talking Christmas IMHO

Arikana 11-07-2014 10:19 PM

72 aurum

:ninja: Sup peeps

Tiva 11-07-2014 11:07 PM

73 au

Never too early to talk about it. It is a major buying holiday and a lot of people go into debt to pay for gifts if they don't space them out over the year or save money so they don't go into debt.

Awen Moonshine 11-08-2014 08:11 AM

74 AU

Normally I would agree with you Yeladim, but having so much to buy on a tight budget is hard/a pain so I have to start early to be able to afford it all... :(

hyjin 11-08-2014 06:01 PM

75

I'm back :P

Tiva 11-08-2014 08:57 PM

76, Hyjin you are back then poof again… it don't count.

Arikana 11-08-2014 11:38 PM

Sneaking in 77 for me :)

Tiva 11-09-2014 12:23 AM

78 for me Just one day left

Espy 11-09-2014 01:11 AM

I got nothing against you oldbies winning, but personally I'm rooting for a newbie to snag it XD
