It's not a thing here in the UK, so i've never had the choice if joining in or hiding.. but all i can say is it amuses the hell out of me that people spend money on tents and supplies to camp outside stores. tents and food cost money.. probably more than you end up saving.

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 06:03 PM

Well, it depends on what they're buying. My brother got a 250 gig ps3 and 5 games for 200 dollars plus tax. Those, just the system without the games, cost that normally if not more.

Of course we didn't camp out or any of that stupid stuff. But depending on what they buy, they save more. Especially if they're going after big ticket items...but I don't do that. I GOT FOUR HARRY POTTER MOVIES FOR 8 DOLLARS ALTOGETHER! That is very cheap (including pt 2 of Hallows) So yeah anyway.

Yoku, you are SUCH a bargain hunter.

So far I nabbed

Xcom Enemy unknown - $25
Dishonored - $25
To the moon - $2.50
Limbo - $2.50
Towns - free
Witcher - $2.50
DOTA 2 - free
Garrys Mod - $2.50
Halo reach - $16
Wanted to get AC3 but that sold out in seconds - $25
2 poinsettia plants - $2

So far I think I have a pretty good haul for my gaming obsession. I love online shopping.

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 10:13 PM

I don't know any of those games .-.

And is that sarcasm? .-.

SinX_franz 11-24-2012 10:31 PM

Why do hey call it Black Friday anyways? sorry for the stupid question, we don't have thanksgiving here in the Philippines.

No, my post was not intended to be mean spirited. I can edit it if it offends you.

@Sin, they call it black friday because, as the story goes, Stores want to be "In the black" financially as opposed to "In the red" which means they aren't doing so well.

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 10:55 PM

No. I was just asking .-.

Because a lot of people are sarcastic to me about things .-. And I couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or not on a website .-.

They tend to get sarcastic when I get excited about things that aren't a big deal to them...but I like coupons and saving money because I'll use it someday D: Or give it to someone as a present :3

Belial 11-24-2012 11:02 PM

No, I actually like you.
And your cosplay, too bad we don't have those ruffled legwarmers for you. . . .

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 11:05 PM

:D <3<3<3

I'm glad you like it :D I've been wanting to do it for awhile (I wish I could get closer to the actual, but....if I was a Desire Demon...the...nipple piercings? looks like the gold would hurt a bit pulling and all XD)

The ruffles at the bottom I didn't even notice until I re-looked up a picture and I stared and it and was like NOOOOOOOOOOO! -flops- XD

Belial 11-24-2012 11:23 PM

I actually think it's supposed to be part of her skin. . . .ewww

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 11:28 PM

I don't know, but technically they can take any form they want so there's no telling XD

Belial 11-24-2012 11:35 PM

The desire demon would probably have to turn into food to tempt me.
I'm always hungry.

But back on topic, Black friday seems to bring out the worst in people. I heard someone pulled a gun on someone else for taking his parking spot.

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 11:38 PM

I'm always hungry too XD

The worst that happened here was like people draped on stuff to prevent people from getting it. Then when they cut off the plastic (wal-mart) they ended up toppling the entire display of games-two people got thrown out (not at my local walmart but one nearby)

Belial 11-24-2012 11:41 PM

*can't help but laugh*
LOL Jenga IRL!

Yokuutsu 11-24-2012 11:47 PM

It was xbox360 games btw. How hard is it to grab what you want and walk away instead of toppling the thing? I mean, really -.-

People disappoint me. Hell, I went at like 10 pm friday and got at least 4 movies for two dollars a piece. And Hannibal for a dollar. It was a special edition....made in 2001 (It had been SITTING IN A WAREHOUSE for over ten years D: )

Belial 11-25-2012 12:05 AM

I think the best bargain I ever got were always outside of Black Friday.

A while ago, Toys R Us liquidated their entire PC games catalog.
Skyrim, and Diablo III were $10 each.
