"Yeah, well, that's what I'd always thought!" Rosen spat, "And then you came along and ruined everything."
Long's face was still red. He was still hung up on the thought Rosen liked him. Then he started to look sheepish too, pulling down his sweater a little.
"Oh, knock it off!" Rosen spat, "You think I like that I like you? I don't!" the fear was coming through in his voice.
Long shrank a little more, looking away.
Rosen let out a sigh, covering his face with a hand, "You're just a bunch of trouble," he muttered, "Dirt... now I've got a headache... this is your fault again!" he accused.
Long didn't say anything, staying like he was.
Rosen slowly started to put himself back together, "... oh, by the way," he told Long as he slowly pushed himself away from the wall, "If you ever tell anyone I was crying, you'll curse the day you met me," he spat with not much energy.
Long didn't reply, he still hadn't moved.
Rosen sighed a little, "Yes, I like you," he repeated, "But I... don't want to just seduce you. I don't know how to know if you really like me... I've never cared before," he muttered as he scooted closer to Long.
Long still didn't move, but now he seemed uncomfortable.
Rosen stopped just a little bit from him, "What is the difference Long, between love and lust?" He whispered.
Long thought about it a little while, still not looking at Rosen. After a few moments he decided quietly, "Lust... is for yourself. And love is for the other person."
Rosen was quiet for awhile but his thoughts were interrupted by the girl's groan. He glanced at her, "We should leave," he decided quietly.
Long paused before nodding a little and standing, not looking at Rosen.
Rosen started to leave but then turned around and grabbed one of the half full bottles.
Long just kept walking out, starting back for the Juttle.
Rosen walked after him for awhile before suddenly running to catch up, linking arms with him as he continued drinking.
Long blinked at Rosen's arm, but didn't try to pull away.
Rosen hugged Long's arm close and avoided looking at all the people around them.
Long also avoided everyone's faces, focusing on getting to the Juttle.
As much as they tried to avoid other people, they couldn't help but completely stand out. They had attracted a little crowd by the time they reached the Juttle and Rosen was shaking slightly.
Long seemed to have some experience with this, getting Rosen on the Juttle before shoeing people away far enough so he could close the door and take off safely.
Rosen was seated on the ground, hugging his bottle. "Fly us somewhere isolated," he whispered as Long came back on.
Long paused before following Rosen's orders and finding an isolated spot to land safely.
Rosen went to open the door.
Long didn't try to stop Rosen.
So Rosen opened to door and glanced around at where Long had landed.
Long had landed in a marshy area without a soul in sight.
Rosen looked over the marsh, "A marsh?" he inquired as he gave Long a blank stare.
"It's isolated," Long explained.
Rosen let out a sigh, muttering something under his breath as he stepped out of the Juttle with a gross squish. He took a couple steps and then suddenly vanished under the mud with a yelp.
Long paused before walking to the back of the Juttle and peeking out.
Rosen was just surfacing, face completely covered with mud, "Don't just stand there!" he spat at Long, "Help me out!"
"... These clothes would get filthy," he noted, still safely inside the Juttle.
"So?" Rosen spat, struggling to pull himself out of the mud and failing.
So Long sighed a bit. But after another moment of deliberation he took off the shoes and sweater before going to help Rosen.
Rosen was stuck pretty good in the mud hole. He lifted his hand up for Long to pull him out.
"Don't struggle," Long told him before getting a good foot hold and grabbing Rosen's hand and pulling. He was very strong for his size.
Rosen actually didn't appear to be all the stuck and as soon as Long grabbed on, Rosen clamped onto his hand and yanked back, attempting to pull him into the mud as well.
Long bit his lip to keep from cussing. His foot hold kept him upright for a decent amount of time, but his feet started to slip in the mud. After a few more moments his feet failed him and he fell into the mud.
