"Then why are you doing it?" Bren asked curiously.

"That's my business," Nic replied simply.

Bren nodded a little, deciding to ask Fin about it later. "You know, you're not as scary as everyone says," she suddenly told Nic.

Nic paused, raising an eyebrow without looking at Bren. Fin flinched a little.

"I mean, you don't seem like the type of guy who would shoot James or that you're Wolfe's pet or that you're a robot and I'm totally going to tell Caty that your tongue isn't cut out! What a bunch of baloney!" she scoffed, "As if Laurel would fall for a guy without a tongue! Oh, and you're more handsome than they give you credit, though I guess that can't be helped with Rosen and James walking around topless all the time," she nodded knowingly.

Nic wisely didn't comment.

"Though I bet you could hold a candle to them if you walked around topless as well," Bren noted, "Fin here, on the other hand, has some catching up to do," she teased.

Fin grunted again. And Nic didn't disagree.

"How many has he done?" Bren inquired.

"Thirty-seven," Nic replied.

Bren nodded a little and went back to watching Fin.

When Fin was finished he collapsed to the ground and panted a little. Nic sighed.

Bren tried to hide her smile, "You done?" She asked Fin.

Fin just kept panting.

"Get out," Nic told Fin after a few more moments. "And don't come back until you can do thirty in a minute."

Bren giggled a little at that, "C'mon Fin! Frei's awake now," she said cheerily.

Fin tried to push himself up and groaned.

Bren stifled another giggle, "You've gotten a little out of shape, huh?"

Fin cussed lightly as he managed to get up.

Bren tried to help him a bit, biting back yet another laugh.

Unlike his brother, Fin accepted the help. Once he was up, he was fine; just his arms were on fire.

Bren smiled a little, rubbing one of his arms, "You should take a cold shower tonight," she noted as they walked toward the door.

Fin sighed a little, glancing back at Nic who seemed to have forgotten about them already. So he walked out with Bren. When the door was closed he asked, "Is Frei really awake?"

Bren nodded, "I came to find you as soon as I heard," she explained before giving Fin a slightly reproachful look, "You've been giving me the slip for days, I wasn't sure I'd find you."

Fin didn't reply, rubbing one of his arms a little.

"Is something troubling you, Fin?" Bren asked quietly, "I know I'm only a new friend but you can trust me to keep quiet about things."

Fin didn't reply; from the way Wolfe spoke it seemed like he didn't want a lot of people knowing about Frei.

Bren nodded, accepting his silence, "Want me to take you to Frei?" she offered, "They moved her when she woke up."

Fin paused before nodding.

"Great!" Bren nodded, taking his arm gently as she started to lead him off, "Can I ask why you were in Nic's room, or is it a secret?" she asked curiously.

Fin didn't say anything for a minute, but then he finally explained, "I want to get stronger."

Bren was silent for a bit before asking, "For Frei?"

Fin didn't say anything, but after another minute he nodded briefly without looking at Bren.

Bren smiled a bit, "Well then, loverboy," she teased, "Let's not waste another second!" and started to run.

Fin grunted a little, still weary from whatever Nic had put him through.

Bren made him run all the same. But they soon reached one of the smaller Juttles, "She's in here with Raven," Bren explained before giving him a small shove towards the door.

Fin turned, nodding a little to Bren before slowly going inside. He paused as he watched Raven try to entertain Frei. Raven didn't seem to notice Fin yet.

Frei didn't notice Fin either, she appeared to be in her own world. She'd lost a little weight and her face was paler than usual but was sitting up on her own.

After a little while Raven noticed Fin. He blinked at him before waving him over with a small smile. Fin paused before slowly walking over.

Frei still didn't acknowledge Fin.

Fin stood there silently for awhile as Raven gestured for him to say something. Finally Fin quietly said, "... Hey..."
