Unfortunately for Rosen, he turned around just as he was about to sit back on his bed and caught Long's reflection in the mirror. He froze for a moment before cussing, that was not an image he wanted in his memories. He took a few steps towards Long, "Why're you crying?" he demanded.
"... Huh?" Long asked, and then he noticed the tear. "Oh..." He wiped it away quickly.
Rosen continued to stare at him, this was not what he envisioned happening at all. "... you look... really cute like that," he noted quietly, a little regretfully.
Long didn't say anything as he kept looking at his reflection. After a few more moments he slowly took the bow out of his hair, paused, and then put it on the other side of his head.
Rosen took a few more steps closer, this was not what was supposed to happen. He couldn't tear his gaze from Long.
Long was still looking at his reflection, adjusting the bow a bit before seeming satisfied.
Rosen, haltingly, like he wanted to run away and couldn't, stepped the final few steps up to Long and suddenly hugged him. It was a bit awkward because he didn't have use of his hands, but it was a hug none the less.
Long paused, surprised himself. "... Huh?" he asked quietly.
Rosen's look was one of self-hatred but also something else that was hard to place. "So cute..." he repeated, not letting go.
Long blushed a little. Then he paused before gently hugging Rosen back.
Rosen started to cuss a little before he suddenly kissed Long, then pulled away cursing, only to kiss him again. His look showed he was terrified but he didn't stop.
Long also seemed a little terrified, not sure if he should make Rosen stop or not.
Rosen wasn't stopping but slowly he started to cry, "... damnit Long," he choked.
Long slowly pushed Rosen away as he started to cry.
Rosen continued to cry only harder, "Damnit..." he whispered as he covered his eyes with his arm, "damnitdamnitdamnit!"
Long wasn't sure what to do. So he kept Rosen from kissing him, but stayed near him.
"Why do I have to like you?" he complained with a sob to Long, "Why?"
Long wasn't sure how to answer that, so he didn't reply.
Rosen slowly tried to hug Long harder, "Now I..." he whispered, voice trailing off.
Long let Rosen get closer.
"can't..." he whispered, pressing his mouth next to Long's ear, "let you go."
Long paused before shifting a little in Rosen's arms so he was more comfortable - since it looked like he was going to be there awhile. Then he rested his head on Rosen's shoulder.
Rosen kept hugging Long as tightly as he could with useless hands, "... the day you get your memory wiped," he whispered very quietly, "I'll wipe mine own."
Long was silent for a minute before suddenly kissing Rosen's jaw. "... I..." he whispered, voice a little afraid, "I'm not sure... if I want to forget."
Slowly, a small smile crept up on Rosen's face, "... Well... good," he decided.
So Long stayed quietly where he was.
"Does this mean you're willing to try starting over?" Rosen asked quietly.
Long remained silent for awhile before just kissing Rosen's jaw again.
"You can't back out again," Rosen cautioned as he glanced down at Long. But the seriousness of his words was lost as he blushed.
Long glanced up at Rosen and blushed at his blush. Had Rosen ever blushed before?
Probably not... Rosen was immediately flustered and pulled away from Long awkwardly. "I... uh..." he muttered, staring off to the side, "Aren't feeling well so..." he coughed, "Imma go put my pain meds back in."
Long nodded and pulled away, taking Rosen at his word for the moment.
Rosen walked stiffly back over to his IV and then stared at it. How on terra was he supposed to get it back into him?
Long seemed to have thought of that and picked up the IV, waiting for Rosen to sit down.
Rosen wasn't looking at Long as the blush returned. Slowly he sank down onto his bed. Then he suddenly huffed, "Well it's your fault in the first place!" he stated, trying to save some face.
Long didn't take it personally as he carefully put the IV back in. Then he went back over to his bed and put his own IV back in.
"So your depression levels are going to get better now, right?" Rosen asked after he had laid down and turned to face the wall.
Long paused before asking quietly, "Are yours?"
"I was never depressed," Rosen scoffed.
Long didn't reply.
