Yue kissed James' cheek back. "... You are done packing for the tour, right?"
"..." James kissed Yue's cheek again, avoiding the question.
"You want help?" Yue asked.
James kissed Yue's temple.
"I'll take that as a yes," Yue replied.
James slowly smiled before kissing her lightly on the lips.
-- A little later there was a knock of Long's door. |
Yue kissed James back for a little while before pulling away and pulling him along.
-- There was no reply. |
Zala tried to open the door.
The door was locked.
"Hey! Long?" Zala called through the door.
Just when it looked like he wasn't there, the door slowly opened.
"I want to check your levels one last time," Zala explained as the door opened.
Long glanced through the crack of the opened door at Zala before nodding a little. Then he slipped through the door and closed it.
Zala stared at Long, "Why are you being so sneaky?" she asked with calculating eyes.
Long didn't say anything, avoiding eye contact with Zala. His fist was still bandaged up.
Zala stared at his hand for a long moment before moving around Long to try and open the door.
Long had locked the door.
Zala turned to stare at Long, "If you made a big mess in there," she stated simply, "I'll put you back in the same room as Rosen. Come along," she ordered, turning to walk off.
Long followed after Zala quietly.
When the reach the infirmery, Zala went pointed to the spare bed before going to grab a few supplies from the cupboards. Rosen was still laying on his bed, back to Long. He didn't move as they came in.
Long didn't try to speak to Rosen; going to the spare bed as instructed.
Zala soon came back and began to run some tests. Still, Rosen did not stir.
Long complied with all the tests. His body seemed to have recovered well from the withdrawal. But now his body seemed to be producing some other natural chemicals in overdose. There wasn't anything too dangerous about it by themselves, but the combination of the chemicals seemed to suggest that Long was under severe mental stress and depression. Perhaps his trauma had finally caught up with him.
Zala went over her findings before going back over to Long, "Would you like an antidepressant?" she asked simply.
Long glared a little at Zala. "No," he replied simply.
"Then I must insist you sleep in here," she stated simply, "Now let me see your hand."
"Why?" Long replied irritably to the first question as he held out his hand. It looked like he had punched something sharp.
Zara took a look at his hand before grabbing a medical kit, "I don't trust you not to do something extreme," she stated as she cleaned his wound.
Long had taken decent care of his hand already.
Zala did what she could on top of Long's work before looking at him, "What's troubling you so badly?" She asked calmly.
Long said nothing.
Zala shrugged after a moment, "Well, Rosen's depression levels are up too, keep each other in check," she stated as she turned to leave. Rosen still hadn't moved.
Long still hadn't looked at Rosen.
Zala walked out of the door and there was a faint click. It looked like they were locked in from the outside.
Long cussed under his breath before laying down and trying to get some sleep.
Bren clapped for Fin as he mastered on of the moves Snow had showed him, "That's great!"
Fin shrugged a little. But the physical activity seemed to be doing him good.
Bren chuckled a little, such a boy. "Why don't you try grinding a bit?" she suggested.
Fin shook his head a little. "My balance is off; I'm too tired," he replied.
Bren nodded as she stretched, "A hot shower sounds pretty good right now, right?" she grinned, wiping some sweat from her brow.
