"More what?" Long asked.
|
"Well you didn't rescue me and now I just scared away your stalker," Rosen noted, "You have a lot of catching up to do."
|
"I carried you to the Juttle," Long noted.
|
Rosen paused, blinking at Long before frowning, "You were like twenty minutes too late," he decided.
|
Long paused, debating whether he wanted to get into this again or not. "Hire Wolfe as a bodyguard if you aren't satisfied," he suggested.
|
"Satisfied?!" Rosen asked, holding up his hands, "Gee, why on terra wouldn't I be satisfied?" he asked dramatically.
|
Long blinked, very confused.
|
Rosen stared at him, "Next assignment, learn sarcasm," he decided.
|
"... I know what sarcasm is," Long replied.
|
"Apparently not," Rosen retorted.
|
"It was an odd moment for sarcasm," Long explained. "I was being serious."
|
"Your phrasing was odd," Rosen shot back, "Do I have anything to be satisfied about right now?" he spat seriously, the pain getting to him again.
|
"... You're alive," Long noted, but then changed the direction of conversation. "If you're not satisfied with me as a bodyguard, you should get a different one."
|
"What's so great about being alive?" Rosen muttered, ignoring Long's attempt to change the direction, eyes looking away from Long.
|
Long didn't reply. He wasn't the best person to discuss this with. After a long moment of silence, he stood to leave.
|
Rosen shifted his body so his back was to Long, ignoring him as he left. The pain seemed to making his mood worse by the second, "... should'a just killed me," he muttered.
|
Long left without a word. He made sure Ryan wasn't following before heading to his assigned room.
|
Laurel woke with a sneeze, it was a bit drafty in the dance room. She glanced over at Nic and started to laugh, maybe the body paint hadn't been her best idea. He was glowing.
-- Frei knocked on Fin's door in the morning, wanting to go for a swim. |
Nic slowly woke like usual, either not noticing or not making a big deal about it.
-- Fin didn't reply. |
Laurel kept laughing at him as she reached down and wiped some off glowing paint of his nose, "So, did you liked my date?" she asked.
-- Frei knocked again. |
Nic paused, wondering how last night was classified as a date - not that he disliked it. So he nodded.
-- Still no reply. |
Laurel smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Though you almost didn't make it," she mused, "I should have through that through better... what if Fin had come upon my bra instead!" she laughed a little at the thought.
-- So Frei picked the lock and stepped inside. |
Instead of joking something back, Nic put his arms around her waist and went in for a kiss.
-- Fin was under the covers, and from the sound of the snoring he was sleeping. He was bunched up under the covers, hair just barely poking out. |
Laurel smiled as she kissed him back. But then she pulled away and sneezed again to the side.
-- Frei went over to Fin's hair and plucked a few of strands out. |
So Nic checked Laurel's temperature.
-- Shockingly, pulling one or two strands out didn't wake him up. |
She was a tad hot. Laurel complained, shying away from his hand and going in for a hug.
-- Frei paused before climbing under the covers with him. |
"You're sick," Nic noted.
-- Fin kept snoring. It looked like he hadn't slept all night and had just fallen asleep. |
"No, I'm not!" Laurel argued before sneezing again, not helping her cause.
-- Frei pulled a pen out of her pocket, looking at Fin's face critically for a moment before going to work on it. |
"Let's get you to the infirmary," Nic said as he started to get up.
-- Fin flinched a little, but didn't wake up. |
Laurel tried to push him back down, "Really, Nic," she sighed, "It's just a light cold if anything."
-- Frei finished his face and drew on his neck next, then onto the exposed part of his arms. If he still hadn't waken, she pulled up his shirt and started on his chest. |
"Then we'll grab some medicine so you can go about your day," Nic reasoned.
-- When she started working on his chest, Fin started to roll over and wake up. |
"What if I don't want to go about my day?" she complained as she slowly straddled Nic.
-- Frei started doodling on his back as he rolled over. |
"... I don't want you to get me sick," Nic replied, practicing his sarcasm.
-- Fin groaned as he woke up. |
"I thought you'd love me no matter what..." Laurel pouted dramatically.
-- Frei's face was right next to Fin's. |
"I do," Nic replied. "We can continue when you won't sneeze in the middle."
-- Fin blinked at Frei, looking too calm. He probably thought he was still dreaming. |
Laurel had to chuckled at that. "Well... should we go straight there or... shower first?" she asked, still on top of him.
-- Frei stayed the way she was. "You dream about me?" she asked blandly. |
Nic was about to reply before looking at himself. "... Shower," he decided.
-- "Sometimes," Fin mumbled, still groggy. |
Laurel smirked as she leaned down, "Together?" she inquired mischievously. Boy, she'd corrupted fast.
-- Frei raised one eyebrow. |
"... If you don't sneeze," Nic decided.
-- Fin paused a little as he kept looking at Frei. "... I'm not dreaming, am I?" he mumbled. |
Laurel kissed him quickly before getting off, "No promises," she chuckled.
-- Frei slowly shook her head, eyebrow still raised. |
