I have PS and a tablet, and I still can't draw well digitally. I do way better with pen.

Mica 01-27-2011 12:04 AM

@Taki: We don't have a pool nearby, neither do my cousins. XD

@Ana: :O Don't you know anyone to borrow from? I can't color very well, but I decided to learn how to draw properly before I really wanted to try and color well. @.@

Mica 01-27-2011 12:05 AM

@Epsy: Well, everyone's different. I dunno, I just had to get used to it essentially.

I'm so-so on paper, but I'm bolder with my strokes on the tablet, because I don't have to erase. XD

Pfft. I use pennnnnnn. But then again, I've way more control over traditional stuff than CG. I don't have enough patience to rework lines in PS.

Ana 01-27-2011 12:08 AM

Nope, no one I know has it. Also, I'm not sure my comp is up to the task, lol. I know I'm never going to draw well, but someday I might be able to color ^^

Mica 01-27-2011 12:08 AM

@Pinkie: D: LIES, ALL OF IT!

XD Pinkie ish ebell!

Mica 01-27-2011 12:10 AM

@Epsy: I redraw each drawing at LEAST twice, so I guess that takes soem sort of patience. I usually do the same on paper, I sketch super rough and light, darken it and refine the details with a darker pencil then I ink it. >.>

@Ana: Aww, well, photoshop is pretty big... Well, if you really want, you could download it off the internet. >.>;

Taki 01-27-2011 12:11 AM

Ugh, my drawing skills suck both on hand and my tablet. xD but I found a new way to do linearts in a program that makes it look much neater, but I've only been practicing with tracing over other images to get practice. I suck with anatomical figure drawings. D<

Espy 01-27-2011 12:11 AM

My pen drawings look like pencil, like....the examples in my art shop (in siggy). But I can draw really quickly.

It's taken me a long time to get my anatomy even just partially correct. It's not an easy thing, but my friends are really helpful.

Ana 01-27-2011 12:13 AM

Hehe, yeah I've seen sites where you can get it for free. I just don't know if my comp can handle it. I might check it out sometime though.

My cat is watching tv. XD

Mica 01-27-2011 12:15 AM

@Taki: Lineart in a program called manga studio is absolutely... effortless, it's just, it's as big as Photoshop and it's pixelized, though you're suppose to line it REALLY BIG then just resize it smaller. I rarely trace over things, but when I do, it depresses me because it turns out so...perfectly proportionate. T_T

@Epsy: I don't make very serious pictures with a pencil, too paranoid for it. I do love traditional though, and I respect it very much.

@Pinkie: D: It's true...

Mica 01-27-2011 12:15 AM

:O TV-WATCHING KITTY = WIN.

Just saying.

Taki 01-27-2011 12:17 AM

Epsy, having people help you is always nice. XD I just don't have the patience to keep practicing like that. I just doodle when I feel like it.

Manga studio? Is it free? o uo

I have a free-trial of SAI right now, and their lineart tool is pretty handy. Still takes forever. D<
