13 Ghosts (After the death of his wife, a guy, his children, and their nanny are trapped in a power-hungry collector of ghosts's ritual site/mansion...as the final sacrifices needed for him to absorb the power of hell itself)

Hellraiser (A puzzlebox maker traps a demon from the realm of sinful mascoistic pleasure - in the "nails in your head, flay your skin daily" sort of "pleasure" - and uses her to create a series of puzzleboxes that draw one into their realm upon completion. Has sort of the "flesh technology punk abomination" thing...and is the only horror movie to depict the devil (the Leviathan) as how I thought of it as a kid.

S.S. Doomtrooper (Nazi's use radiation to create a near-invulnerable mindless supervillain monster whom a ragtag coalition of Allied forces have to stop)

Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God (A necromancer free from a curse seeks vengeance on the town of Ishmere through a pact with a great dracoliche...while Ishmere discovers its ancient past)

Those are the memorable ones, for better or worse. I do not advise Species or Wishmaker. Hellraiser is considered a creative (if disgusting) classic. Wrath of the Dragon God and S.S. Doomtrooper are campy poor-cgi awesomeness.

Good things of Sci Fi (Syfy) -

Dinotopia (You know that Avatar flying/bonding stuff...yeah, not even that was original. Creative world with a fun, if campy, plot.)

Frank Herbert's Children of Dune (It's Dune. I <3 Dune)

Merlin (Miniseries) - it is a nice adaptation of Arthurian legend

Tin Man (Wizard of Oz miniseries) - a nice adaptation of the land of Oz.

Farscape, Warehouse 13, Stargate, the Twilight Zone, and the Creepshow movies/episodes

The puzzlebox is the cool thing (along with the realm)

That is sort of the frail piece of poor logic that I used to justify that existence...well, exists...because reality is subjected to one's senses, which are quite possibly fallible on all levels, and which could even not really exist in the first place...which is a concept difficult to grasp...that I used when I was in the "very ill mental state" thing....
