"I can just send it to your house." He smiled a bit, the Ferrari was already gone. "Tada~" With his free hand, he gently pinched Holden's neck, "I'm not old." He grinned, giving Holden's neck a kiss where he pinched him, "Where shall I take us to in Connecticut."

Holden smiled, "Do you remember the cafe we had our first date at? It's about ten minutes away, by walking." He purred slightly as Solomon kissed his neck. "And remember your promise." He smiled as he kissed Solomon's shoulder and closed his eyes.

He nodded and waited until Holden's eyes were shut before teleporting them. He made sure the humans would not notice them as they disappeared and reappeared. "Lead the way Holden."

Holden opened his eyes and smiled nervously. He chuckled when he saw a man skittering around the cafe, "I went to high school with him, he wanted play for the New England Patriots. He wasn't a bad halfback, but I guess it didn't pan out for him... Poor guy." He sighed as he started down the sidewalk. "He was one of the few to actually look up to me as the quarterback." He smiled as they walked past the man. "It's too bad everyone thinks I'm dead, I would love to go to my reunion..." He sighed as he turned a corner. "Actually... Now one here knows... I need you to remind me to do something tomorrow." He smiled.

"Holden...you're not to do anything." He glanced down, giving Holden a serious look, "You've got three days to prepare for this damn French Council business and you will not waste them."

"I worked as a Marine Biologist for two months, and I start work in Florida tomorrow..." Holden Sighed. "As for that I'm not the one who is gonna be challenging the Council... Melody is." He looked up to Solomon. "She needs to prove to herself, and the council that she can fight her own battles. Plus I wouldn't be able to do jack. I'm still human." He sighed again. He turned another corner.

"I know that Holden, but you still have to be mentally prepared. I wouldn't put it past them to fight dirty." He sighed a bit, "Just when I think we finally get a chance to relax, something always happens. Why can't we jus tbe left alone Holden?"

"They will, after all they are French." Holden sighed again. "Well that is because I pissed a lot of people off." He looked at Solomon. "Which I am sorry about..." He frowned as he looked to the ground. "Solomon... I..." He trailed off as they reached the storage locker. He looked away from the locker, "I don't know if you have felt this... But there is like a coldness around, I feel it everywhere." He looked up to Solomon with worried eyes, "Do you feel it?"

"Oh Alicia I'm so sorry...I've been so busy with this stupid issue with my damn mother. What can I do for you?"
Solomon raised a brow, "It's alright Holden...I..no I don't." He put on a slight smile, even though he could feel it himself. "You're just exhausted it all...black magic is a very taxing thing after all." He pulled out the key, handing it to Holden, "Here you go, I feel you should..present it." |
"I've been...." Holden trailed off as he grabbed the key. He sighed slightly and put on a smile, "Close your eyes and no peaking." He winked. He waited until Solomon's eyes were closed as he put the key into the rusty lock, he had to finagle with it s little bit. "Finally.." He smiled when the lock clicked open. He looked at Solomon, "Here it is." He pushed the door open and smiled, he held out his hand and presented the 1954 Jaguar XK 140. Holden watched Solomon very carefully.

Solomon sighed, closing his eyes and shoving his hands in his pockets while he waited. When he heard Holden say 'Here it is' he opened them. "You got me...a Jaguar?" He stepped forward a bit, "When did you find time to get it? I've been at your side since..two days ago."

"Well... I got it a few days.... after your garage exploded..." Holden looked down. "Then we broke up for.." He trailed off trying to remember. "Two days or so... And I gave one of the keys for it to Hayden, when she came to my house and she saw a movie for the first time." He looked at Solomon. "She forgot to give it to you." He smiled a little. "It runs great, I took it out the other day with Alicia." He frowned slightly. "It's not a 120 its a 140 and it was made in 1954..." He looked away from Solomon.

"I see.." He did love the car, it was in marvelous condition and restored wonderfully. He smiled a bit, going over to Holden and giving him a passionate kiss on the lips, "I love it~" Suddenly he winced, pulling away and clenching his hand as it got extremely cold, then numb. He exhaled a bit, flexing his fingers to try and dispel the sensations. He frowned shoving his hand in his pocket as it started to get really pale. "Shall we take it for a spin ourselves?" He forced a smile on his face, going over to the car and examining it. "I really do love it Holden."

Holden smiled after Solomon kissed him, "Yes we shall." He walked to Solomon and gave him a hug. "I'm glad you love it Solomon, I have been a bundle of nerves wondering if you would." He smiled as he pushed Solomon backwards a tad so he could open the door for him. "And it's a good thing me and Alicia came to check on it. The plates were expired, so we had to go to the DMV." He smiled again. "The key is still in the ignition." He opened the door for Solomon.

Solomon grinned, getting into the seat, kissing Holden's neck as he sat down, "I hope the seatbelts work~" He looked over the inside, nodding in approval, "Oh yeah..I can get used to this." He waited for Holden to get in.

"They do." Holden smiled as he shut the door. "I'm glad you like it Solomon." He quickly ran to the passenger side and got in. "And if it needs any repairs I will pay for them." He smiled as he buckled his seat belt. "That is until I sign the title over to you." He looked at Solomon. "Now who is the chauffeur?" Holden chuckled as he leaned back in the seat.
"It's ok Jae, things have been out of control here. Its this damn French council business." Alicia sighed as she finished putting away the groceries. "Anyways, me and Solomon don't know if you have felt a coldness come over everywhere. Or if it is just me and Solomon since we aren't in our original bodies..." She trailed off as she thought for a moment. "And there is a thing with one of Solomon's workers, that I really don't know how to explain..." Alicia sighed again as she leaned on the counter. |
"I don't see why that would have anything to do with it. Your attachments are solid. Has Melody or Holden felt such a thing?"
Solomon grinned a bit, "You are still my chauffeur, you're just on break~" He started up the car, let it idle for a second while he double checked everything, the drove off. He didn't go speeding around the streets like he usually did, but rather he wanted to have a nice relaxing ride. |
"I don't know. They haven't said anything about it, but they do keep things that are wrong quiet. And I feel weird just probing in their brain." Alicia rubbed her temples.
"I understand Mr. Kalika." Holden smiled as he closed his eyes. He rather enjoyed the feeling of wind blowing through his hair. "I didn't know you could actually be a careful driver." He chuckled in Solomon's head. |
"I'm always careful Holden...how do you think you're still alive after the few times you've ridden with me?" He grinned, leaning over and giving Holden's cheek a kiss at a red light.
"Can you send me the sensations? I could help you with your research." Jaelynn then appeared in front of Alicia, her hands on her hips, "It'd be easier for me to help you if I knew what it was like..." |
Holden smiled and looked at Solomon, "Your just lucky." He chuckled. "What do you think about Puerto Rico for our honeymoon?" He sighed sweetly. "We both could use a tan." He closed his eyes as the light turned green.
"Ya it probably would." Alicia smiled. "Ok so this will be quite awkward." She said as she put her arms around Jaelynn and leaned her forehead on Jaelynn's. She closed her eyes as she gathered up her power and her memory. She created a very powerful link with Jaelynn as she sent across the information. Her limbs would start to go numb and get colder and colder by the second. Her vision would start to blur, then darken. Her soul would feel like something was tugging on it, trying to pull it from the body it was attached to. As this went on and intensified, she tightened her grip around her waist, holding her up so the connection would not break. Her skin would start to loose pigment as her vision would have finally gone black and her limbs were no longer able to support her. Just before she would think her spirit was going to detach, she pulled back the sensations, and sent a picture of a woman to her mind, "This has happened to Solomon twice, he thinks its a demon. There is no hint of vampire in her." She gently removed her head but kept her hands around Jaelynn. "You ok?" Alicia opened her eyes. |
Jaelynn felt weak at the knees for a moment afterwards. She brought her hand ot her head, nodding, "Yeah..I'm okay." Once she was sure she could stand on her own, she moved Alicia's hands away. She pondered for a moment, "Do you have any demonology books anywhere? I think..I might have an idea what this is."
"I'll be damned if I get tan. I hate people who have those stupid ridiculously orange tans..or too dark. Guh, nasty." He shuddered a bit, quickly dodging the car that was straying into his lane, weaved around the oncoming traffic and got back in lane, ahead of the stupid driver. "I'm not lucky..I'm just that good." He looked over, giving Holden a wink. |
Alicia stepped back slightly, "Ya up in Holden's library." She pointed. "Just make sure you put everything back the way it was, he will be pissed if something is misplaced." She sighed. "Let's go." She smiled and headed for the stairs.
"Well then Solomon, where would you like to go?" Holden smiled. He suddenly opened his eyes as the car started swerving, he shook his head as Solomon winked. "That was luck, along with your vampireness." He chuckled as he closed his eyes again. |
"That, was pure skill my boy. Well, we could take a little road trip back home to Wisconsin. It'll only take two days tops for us to get there...no detours. What do you think?"
Jaelynn nodded, "If you knew my mother, you wouldn't have to tell me that. She is a freak about her books." She followed her up the stairs. |
"I would love to, but I have work tomorrow. And I can't blow off the first day. It's bad enough I took Thursday and Friday off because of the damn French." Holden sighed as he opened his eyes. "Plus what I was going to make for your dinner would be expired by the time we would get back." He frowned slightly.
"Speaking of Serus, you three are invited to Solomon and Holden's wedding. I just don't know when it will be." Alicia shrugged as she landed at the top of the stairs. "And don't mind the door, even though I'm still pulling splinters out of my back..." She sighed as she extended her arm to the library. |
Jaelynn chuckled a bit, "Doors are quite nasty...either way, you're welcome to look through with me..or..not. I don't care either way." She searched the book titles on the bindings, declining every one a chance to be opened. "Anything about..demon races? Half these titles are in Demon Tongue, and that I do not read. I can speak it a bit; Mystic taught me a few things, but I cannot read it."
A pout overcame Solomon's face, "Fine..." With that, the car and the two of them disappeared, reappearing in the old Pick n' Save lot on Scott St. He drove off the lot and headed towards to Holden's house. |
Alicia closed her eyes for a moment and thought, she opened them. "Ya there is but I need Holden's blood to get in the room." She sighed.
Holden started gasping for air when they landed, "Solo-..Solomon." He breathed quickly to slow down his breathing. After he calmed down he looked at him, "Darling don't pout." He caressed Solomon's cheek. He sighed, "We can take a road trip to wherever you want. I'll call work when we get home and quit. Is that ok?" He smiled slightly. |
Solomon tilted his head away, "Too late now darling~ Either way, don't do that. I can tell you're really excited to start working there." He turned to face Holden as they pulled in the driveway and smiled, "Besides, as long as I can be with you, I don't care if I'm stuck in a prison cell."
Jaelynn frowned a bit, "Well go get some. It can't be that hard..he's human after all. Tell him your thirsty..just don't swallow." She winked and laughed. |
Holden nodded, "I am, I'm just glad to be in the states." He smiled. "Well my dear, you would be able to force them to let us out." He chuckled as he kissed Solomon on the cheek.
"Just a moment." Alicia disappeared and landed next to the car. She grabbed Holden's wrist, "I need some blood." She bit hard into Holden's wrist. She sucked in a little bit and quickly healed the wound and wiped Holden's mind that she did that. She disappeared, "Keep him out of the basement and his library Solomon." Holden looked at Solomon confused, "Did I just zone out?" He asked looking around. |
"Of course Alicia." Solomon chuckled a bit, ruffling Holden's hair, "Just a little bit. You trailed off...something about rough, hot prison sex I think?" He laughed a bit as he climbed out of the car, "You've got quite the imagination Holden." "Next time..a bit of warning before I accidentally smack you unconscious."
Jaelynn raised her brow as Alicia disappeared, "Can't believe she actually did that. Nice." She chuckled a bit, "Sorry Solomon, that would be my fault. Alicia says he's got a book somewhere that might hold the answer to your problem." |
"Whaaat?" Holden shook his head in disbelief. He shakily got out of the car, "I..." He trailed off not know what to say. He walked over to Solomon and wrapped his arms around his waist. "Sorry I trailed off on you darling." He smiled slightly.
"Ya... Sorry, I just need his damn blood to get into this hidden room." Alicia sighed as she grabbed the book. She tried to teleport but found that she slammed her head on the ceiling. "Son of a..." She trailed off as she rubbed her head. She got up and quickly left the room and teleported to the library. "Here you go." She handed the book to Jaelynn. |
"Why couldn't you teleport?" She took the book then gently set it on the table. "This looks promising." She flipped through the pages, glancing over their section titles.
Solomon put his arm around Holden's waist as well, "Don't be, I do it all the time." He smiled, kissing Holden's cheek, "What shall we do until you make me that delicious dinner you keep promising me?" |
"It's magically sealed, and its very powerful magic. Its mainly for the purpose of hiding people and having very private conversations. He did it when he was a Paladin." Alicia rubbed her head again. "Ya I glanced at it quickly when I was gathering up his blood bond books." She sighed as she sat in the chair right in front of the desk.
"Well... We could go and take that shower... You look oh so dirty." Holden raised his brow. He started rubbing Solomon's chest, "And then afterward I will make dinner. Cause you will work up an appetite." He winked. |
Solomon's devious grin returned once more as he suddenly grabbed Holden's hips and pulled him close. "That sounds delightful~" He then covered Holden's eyes, teleporting the two of them to the first floor bathroom, deciding to spare Alicia and Jaelynn the horror. He also blocked off the room. He gently trailed his finger down Holden's chin and down his chest, "It's a shame I have to be so gentle with you. I do miss our rough patches."
Jaelynn nodded, her eyes not leaving the book, "Based on the sensation Solomon passed over to you..I'm guessing it's some sort of demon that specializes in spirit manipulation like Azriel. It would help if I knew this demon's true form as well, but that sha-" She stopped, pointing to the bolded text atop of the page, Charun Demons. "That's our answer my dear Alicia. You guys have a Charun after you." She chewed on the inside of her cheek with a frown, "Do you know anything about Etruscan mythology?" She looked up to the younger vampire with a slightly worried look. |
Holden smirked, "I do to, but I need to be human for the council." He rubbed his hands on Solomon hips. He quickly pulled Solomon's shirt out of his pants, and gently rubbed Solomon's sides. He leaned in and started nibbling Solomon's neck, a little roughly.
"Why would we have one after us? Other then deify demon laws, we didn't do anything..." Alicia trailed off as she tried to read the page but it was in an ancient language. "No I don't, I tried to ask my dad about it but he just blew me off." She looked back at Jaelynn. |
"Basically, Charuns are the spirit world's bounty hunters so to say. You four..er..five including my mother, are the bounties. You defied the law of Vanth, the ruler of the Ethereal World. That's why Azriel and Mystic became so weak after the reattachments...they have to break the bond to the Ethereal Realm and work around Vanth's laws. It's a very difficult process. I'm surprise though, that it took them so long to get to you...they should've been after you the minute you guys left that place."
A look of displeasure came upon her face, "You have to be careful, these creatures are very strong..much stronger than Azriel and Mystic." She sighed, "They can break the bond to your bodies in seconds...you wouldn't even know what hit you. You and Solomon are lucky, you're vampires. You can detect them much easier than a demon..since you're vampires. Charuns cannot be detected by any living creature, but since vampires are technically undead, they can pick up the presence of a Charun if they're looking hard enough." |
Alicia quickly changed her hair to a light blue, "This isn't good." She started playing with her hair. "Jae, technically its six... Seth was brought back as well..." She looked at Jaelynn. "There isn't a way to kill them is there?" She ran her hands through her hair and turned it back to blonde. "Holden... He is probably thinking he is dying again..."

"Just don't tell him anything, alright? I'm sure Mystic and I can figure something out." She sighed, running her hand through her pale blonde hair, "The book doesn't say if you can kill them. I suppose the only way to get rid of them, as of now, is to convince Vanth to leave you alone, and how to do that I have no idea. There isn't much in here about Vanth. I will have to do some deep research."

"I wasn't going to... I will tell Solomon later, when Holden is asleep." Alicia sighed. "Thank you Jae... Again when we try to relax we get this shit thrown at us." She rubbed her temples. "If you find anything out let us know." She gave Jaelynn a weak smile.

Jaelynn nodded, "Anything to keep me away from the problem with Serus." She stepped forward, giving Alicia a reassuring hug, "Everything will be alright...I'll contact Mystic as soon as this thing with the French is over." She let Alicia go then disappeared, taking the book with her. "I might need this."

"I hope so, and ok Jae." Alicia sighed as Jaelynn disappeared. "Whatever you need Jae." She pinched her nose as she teleported to her room.
