Rosen sighed a little and flipped over onto his stomach again before slowly getting up and stretching. The sand caked onto his golden skin began to crack and fall away as he walked over to Long.
Long was still enthralled by the seaweed.
Rosen swatted beside him, "What are you doing?" he finally just asked bluntly.
Long was quiet for a good while before replying quietly, "... I don't know." But he kept doing whatever he was doing.
Rosen sighed a little, "You still haven't figured it out?" he asked.
Again, Long paused awhile before slowly shaking his head.
After a moment, Rosen stood and went out into the ocean. He soon came back with another armload of seaweed.
Long slowly glanced at Rosen and blinked, confused.
Rosen had already turned and was heading back out to sea where he collected yet another armload of seaweed.
Long watched Rosen for a minute before going back to the seaweed. After some more time passed, it looked like Long was finally starting to get somewhere.
Rosen made a third trip before his laziness kicked in and he plopped down on the opposite side of the pile, watching Long.
Long kept tossing what he was working on away and starting over again, but he seemed to have a vision now. Finally he seemed to create something that was bow-like in shape with colorful pieces of seaweed adorning the edges and the middle.
Rosen blinked before collecting some colorful pieces for Long and tossing them over to his side.
Long glanced at the pieces before looking back at Rosen. He didn't seem to know what to do with them.
"You need them for your..." Rosen raised an eyebrow, "project."
Long shook his head in disagreement.
Rosen picked up some of Long's discarded ones, "You're putting them all over," he stated, pointing one bit of colorful seaweed out to Long.
Long titled his head, not getting it.
Rosen blinked, "You're decorating your bows with the colorful pieces," he stated slowly.
Long held up the one in his hand. It looked like he only planned on making one.
Rosen shrugged, giving up as he took some of the seaweed and started tying knots.
Long stopped playing with the seaweed. But after a few minutes he sifted through before pulling out a piece and munching on it.
Rosen made a disgusted face, "There's food on the Juttle," he reminded Long.
Long kept chewing. He seemed to be in the mood for seaweed.
"Ugh, stop it!" Rosen exclaimed, taking a swipe at Long's hand, "You're grossing me out!"
Long watched the seaweed as it flew out of his hand.
"How can you eat that stuff raw?" Rosen demanded.
Long didn't reply. Had Rosen never had fresh sushi?
Rosen had never put two and two together. He continued to be disgusted, pushing the seaweed away from him.
Regardless, Long didn't eat or play with anymore seaweed as he sat there silently.
"So, are you going to try to kill me again or what?" Rosen asked when the seaweed was far enough away from him.
Long paused briefly before shaking his head slowly.
"Good, because you won't get another chance so easily. Assassin or not." He smiled a bit, "I totally let my guard down around you, but that won't happen again," he promised as he stood. "So you ready to head back?"
Long didn't say anything as he stared at his bow.
Rosen paused a moment, "You want to wear it? I'll put it in for you," he offered.
Long was silent for a moment before asking quietly without looking at Rosen, "Is it possible to start over again?"
Rosen blinked, "Depends... on what you want to start over, I guess," he shrugged before sitting down beside Long.
"... Everything," Long explained quietly, still not looking at Rosen.
Rosen stared at Long for awhile before smiling, "Yeah, it's possible. Starting everything over would be very hard but it's doable, Long," he replied before moving around to get a look at his face.
Long's face still seemed mostly blank.
