Long chose a less fatty option, eating slowly.
So Rosen plopped down beside him, "Do friends eat food from eachother's plates?" he asked.
Long paused. "It depends," he decided. But he held out his plate to Rosen anyway.
Rosen grinned and grabbed a piece before holding out his own plate.
Long shook his head, sticking with what he had picked out.
"What else to friends do?" he asked Long after a moment.
Long shrugged. "... I thought Missy was your friend," he replied.
"I think..." Rosen paused, "Missy's getting a little tired of me."
Long didn't say anything, still nibbling away at his food.
"I don't want you to get tired to me," he muttered, "I'm not good... with friends."
Long was silent for awhile before holding his plate out to Rosen again. "... You're my only friend," he told him.
Rosen took another piece of food, "Wait a minute!" he declared, pointing a greasy finger at Long, "Then how come you know so much about friends?"
Long blinked. "... I have a better grasp of societal norms than you do," he guessed.
"Well..." Rosen huffed, "How do you know that the 'societal norms' of the Yin Long apply anyone else besides the Yin Long?"
"I had to learn many 'societal norms,'" Long explained. "I do guard a politician."
"Yeah, well, there aren't any politicians around here if you haven't noticed," Rosen leaned in and told him quietly.
Long blinked, a little confused.
"The societal norms are a little different around normal people," Rosen explained before taking another bite of his burger.
"Not terribly so," Long replied.
"Well, around me anyway," Rosen explained, licking his fingers.
"... Because you don't conform to any 'societal norms,'" Long guessed.
"Correcto~" Rosen replied with a handsome smirk, tossing a fry at his face.
Long caught the fry gracefully and put it on his plate without eating it.
"Aw c'mon!" Rosen complained, "You're supposed to catch it in your mouth."
"... Why?" Long asked.
"It's like... a game... I guess," Rosen shrugged before tossing a fry up into the air and catching it in his mouth. He grinned, "Hooray!" he said with a full mouth before chewing a swallowing.
Long didn't seem to completely get it, but he didn't ask for clarification.
"You try," Rosen pushed.
"... I don't want to," Long replied.
"It's fun," Rosen tried to explain, "You don't do anything that's not practical or doesn't make sense to you... but some of the funniest things in life don't make sense rationally," he preached for a moment before seeming to lose interested as he spotted a cupcake and dove in.
Long seemed to muse on that as he kept eating.
Rosen finally leaned back, apparently stuffed. "How about a boat ride?" he asked Long.
Long shrugged. Wasn't he in a hurry earlier for something?
Apparently not, "You been to a casino?" he asked.
Long nodded.
"Have you even won anything?" Rosen asked with a smirk.
Long shook his head.
"Well then let's go!" Rosen grinned, getting to his feet.
"... To a casino?" Long asked, not sounding thrilled.
Rosen grinned, "Sorta," replied suspiciously.
