"Close the blooming door." Chess hissed with laughter from the back. "Were you raised in a barn or something?"
Domino blinked as he looked inside. Many of the sarcophagus had been opened a few even turned over to leave long dead and decayed bodies strewn about the floor like discarded child's toys. |
Neko looked ill, but Kayen stormed in and over to Chess, grabbing him by the front of his shirt.
"What did you do!?" He cried, pointing to the bodies. "That wasn't nice at all!" |
"You distracted me." Chess chuckled. "They were having fun before you came in."
"They are dead." Domino said flatly as he walked over. "They do not have fun anymore." "Oh contra er, doubtful one." Chess hummed. "Look what I can do." He waved his hands a little- his eyes starting to glow a ghostly blue hue. Suddenly the corpses began to rise in uneven, jerking motions and move around. Chess laughed and they bag to shambled about the room. "Dance puppets, dance!" Chess cheered. |
Kayen smiled a little bit, but saw the horrified look on Neko's face and smacked Chess lightly. "Stop doing that- those used to be people, Chess!"
"Can you make one do a flip?" Neko asked suddenly and Kayen turned to look at him in shock. "Hm? I think it would be interesting, don't you? If one did a flip." "...You're a strange person, Mister," Kayen whispered, though his smile had returned. "I like you." |
Domino looked Neko up and down out of the corner of his cool eyes. Chess laughed.
"Flip?" He repeated. "I'll turn this into a trapeze act if you want!" |
Neko continued to chuckle for a few more moments, before he hummed and turned as they saw lights from within the Church. "I hope that is Ryou."
|
"Who else could it be?" Domino asked- it seemed like he'd noticed a lifetime before Neko did.
|
"More children from The Facility, perhaps," Neko commented.
"I hope not," Kayen mumbled, following the man as he stepped outside. "You three should wait here," He informed as he slipped back across the yard with the lantern. Kayen waited a few moments, before following after him anyway. |
"Kayen." Domino sighed again.
"I'll be here!" Chess waved before looking back into the crypt. "Get that outta your mouth...you don't know where it's been!" He closed the door as he slipped back inside. |
Kayen slipped up to the door, peeking in through the cracks in it.
"You're back late," Neko was saying to the form that he couldn't see. "I was worried." |
"Why were you worried?" Came a small- even voice. "You don't trust me to keep up with myself to the store and back?"
|
"Not when half the city banished your husband, no," Neko commented, leaning against his desk.
|
"Yeah, but it's mostly the name...you think anyone would look at me and say, 'there he is'?" Kayen blinked with a small figure came into very- carrying an over-packed grocery bag in his arms and setting on the desk in front of Neko. "I think you mostly got concern cause you're hungry."
Kayen took in the little fellow carefully. He was small, much smaller than Neko and very young looking with brown hair, long bangs swept to the side- not so stylishly. He was wearing a little top- red with white sleeves and a bow around his neck that served as a tie. He had white shorts with a red steak on the side and pair of red high-tops. He also wore a small cap that almost looked like a dinner mint with the same red and white color scheme as the rest of him. Was that what people wore out here? |
"I was hungry, yes," Neko informed - reaching up and touching the man's cheek with a small smirk. "But not for food."
"Yuck!" Kayen cried out as Ryou's cheeks flushed. Neko jumped and turned toward the door at the sound. |
Ryou had crossed the room in an instant and kicked the door open- his cap falling off as he did so.
|
Kayen stumbled back in surprise at the gun pointed directly at his face. His foot caught on the uneven ground and his ankle twisted awkwardly, sending him crashing to the ground with a cry.
