It is scary stuff. In the condo where I used to live we had a really bad tornado one year. The entire sky was a yellowish green and you could actually see the spiral of the tornado in the distance. There was not a drop of rain in the sky, but it was incredibly loud until it passed.

when i lived in the little brown house in missouri(before iowa) we had that, i was told we were going to hide in my closet if it got any closer beause it was the only place with no windows

Fortunately the condo had a basement/storage area for tenets, but it was an awful place. It fled up to the knees every time it rained, but it was the safest place for us to go.

My mom was always paranoid about storms so we had to go down there often, but my father was totally oblivious so I would usually stand at the back door while it rained. I remember one time he reached out the door and caught a handful of hail when it was storming one day, it was the coolest thing.

To be fair we are not like "Hey tornados, come get us", it just happens because of the region. Pog seems like she is more suited to your part of the US though. xD

But But! there is so much involved and it is all so cool since homeless people if they are smart tend to build tent cities, they also become scavengers and the ones in NY make it a business to resale junk to other unsuspecting tourist. Its only the ones that go crazy that tend to go incoherent.

XD nah pog just realized in highschool what it means to be an artist so I studied homeless behavior in case I was ever kicked out of my house and had to survive. I have scoped out my home town for the best places to stay in the winter and stuff and well I haven't quite learned to dumpster dive yet.

Pog is just one of those people that likes to plan and have back up plans.

Well more like in a current war together so the setting would either be historical or a one that just developed in modern times, kinda an au story like the watchmen or any realm were vampires exist xD.

Why not? Just think in hypothetical. For example, what if in the 1990's the conflict in Afghanistan rose to where Korea became Allies with the terrorist leaders? It would be similar time line, yet an alternate one to modern day, so a war slice of life.

I'm not a war person, it is a scary thing to me and I would not feel comfortable roleplaying it.
