James nodded, "That's a good plan." he smiled a little. "Wanna go for a walk? I'm in between shows right now." he offered, sitting back in his chair.
Yue thought about it a long moment. "... If you aren't annoying," she decided.
"I'll try not to explode anymore fireworks." he replied with a chuckle as he stood, "You wanna grab something to eat or another drink before we go?" he asked, glancing back at the kitchen.
"Nah," Yue replied as she stood and stretched a little.
"Anywhere you want to go?" James asked, "It's our last day in Sweden."
Yue shook her head.
James nodded, "Well... I think there's a festival of lights going on." he offered, "You want to go check it out?"
"... Wouldn't you get swarmed by paparazzi?" she asked.
James grinned as he grabbed Yue's arm, "I have many disguises." he chirped.
"Yeah... no one will recognize a rainbow firework when its wearing sunglasses." Yue rolled her eyes.
"Then I'll light a blue and grey firework." a sudden deep voice came from James's mouth. He chuckled, the sound a few octaves deeper than normal.
Yue didn't seem too impressed. "You'll have to do a lot better than that," she replied. "If any picture of us goes viral, the Yin Long will find out."
James chuckled, "Okay, then we better disguise you as well." he said, voice back to normal. Then he paused, "Actually..." and he grinned, "C'mon!" and started to speed-walk down the hall, dragging Yue behind him.
"I know how to disguise myself, thank you very much," Yue retorted, trying to get James to let go.
"You don't have to disguise yourself." James replied, not letting go, "I just thought of the perfect disguise to use for me! I haven't had the chance to use it for awhile." He seemed... a bit too excited.
"Yeah, I do. There's a chance someone could just recognize me too," she replied.
"Well okay." James stopped outside of a door, "Meet you back out here in... 30 min?" he suggested before starting towards the door.
Yue sighed a little, thinking James had way too much time on his hands. But thirty minutes later she was back outside the door. That might have been the quickest change she had ever done. Her clothes and hair were completely different. It looked like she had even temporarily altered some of her facial features and changed her eye color. She looked a few years older now and was wearing a big coat to keep her warm outside.
James was a few minutes late but when he did finally step outside it was worth the wait. Contrary to Yue, he looked younger. Much younger. He had a long, slightly curly black wig on and his face had been altered slightly to give it a chubbier, less angled look. He had pink glasses on and a large purple sweatshirt with a cute cupcake graffic on it, comfy looking sweats and hello kitty shoes. He popped his hip to the side and tilted his head at Yue as he stepped out, bringing a hand up and popping a lollipop into his mouth. He smiled sweetly, looking very much like a junior high/freshman girl. His bag over his shoulder had his natural smiling face on it surrounded by hearts and the words, "I <3 James."
Yue stared blankly at James for a long moment. "... I will never look at you the same again," she decided quietly.
James laughed as he took the lollipop out of his mouth, his voice was the same as usual at least. "No will recognize us now." he nodded before taking her arm and starting to walk off again.
Yue shivered a little. "This is so wrong... " she muttered.
James laughed harder as he led her off to a waiting Juttle, "You still look attractive." he praised, "It's good to see what you'll look like a few years down the road." he smirked.
"Good to know even as a teenager, you were a pervert," Yue retorted.
James continued to smile, "You know it." and grabbed Yue's ass before moving to get in the Juttle.
Yue quickly retaliated by moving her hand to hit James in the back of the head. It wasn't a light hit.
It connected but James just laughed more, "Watch it, I need to be able to drive." he teased.
"Pull something like that again, and you won't be able to do a lot more than that," Yue snapped, pretty ticked off.
James didn't seem too scared, "People will stare if you beat up a little girl in public." he warned with another smirk, "They might even call the peaceforce."
"Until I reveal you to be an older man dressing as a teenage girl," Yue spat.
"Oh and that won't cause the paparazzi to swarm." James retorted as he took a seat and strapped himself in.
"I'm still in disguise," Yue reminded him. "And I could slip in and out of there as quickly as you slipped out of your boxers and into Hello Kitty shoes."
James just laughed, shaking his head a bit as he took off, guiding the Juttle through the air.
Yue didn't say anything else, rubbing her forehead a bit like she had a headache.
James eventually stopped laughing, but he retained the big smile. "I knew I'd get the biggest reaction from this disguise." he teased, stretching a little in the seat.
Yue didn't say anything, still looking like she had a headache.
So James let her have some quiet. The flew for about a half an hour before landing. James stretched a bit again, "I'm going to grab a snack before we leave." he informed Yue before getting up and heading into the back.
Yue didn't say anything, waiting for James to finish getting his snack.
"Mmkay." James said once he was done, "Let's go then." and stepped out of the Juttle, securing it behind Yue.
It really was a wonderland of lights. This was one of the towns on the ground that was still flourishing. It was snowing lightly, some ice on the ground but most of the ice was around them. Ice statues of all different shapes and sizes stood around them. It was an old art form, using chainsaws and chisels- still the only clean way of cutting ice. All throughout these ice sculptures were multicolored lights flashing and twinkling. It really did look otherworldly. James sighed, breath showing in the air, "I love it when I can take a night off and see this." he told Yue quietly. |
"Don't let anyone here you talking," she mumbled to James. Yet again, she seemed impervious to the beauty around here.
