"I'm sorry Solomon. I don't know how to say this... But I'm um gonna move out. When I was looking through my dad's stuff I found out that before I was born he lived here in London, and he still owned the house he lived in. Which I now own." He paused while tears filled his eyes. "And I ah can't do this anymore, and by this I mean us. I love you so much Solomon, but I love my sister as well and I feel that it is for her safety that we don't continue this relationship." Holden said trying really hard not to full out cry.
Alicia smiled, "I'm just checking on her, I want to apologize for Holden. He usually isn't this... 'Mean'." She said looking at Hayden. "He is very sweet, kind, and generous. He's just under a lot of things right now." Alicia said with a slight frown. |
Solomon pinched the bridge of his nose, "Whatever you feel is necessary Holden." He stood up, giving Holden a quick hug, "Don't cry, okay? Family always comes first, and right now Amanda needs you more than ever. It'll be easier for you if you had your own place, I'm sure." He let Holden go, shoving his hands in his pockets, a flat expression on his face.
Hayden nodded, stepping inside, "Then why is he hurting Solo? I don't like people who hurt him." She frowned deeply, standing close to Alicia, "I don't understand what's going on." She gripped the sleeves of her kimono tightly, wiggling her toes on the cold hardwood floor. |
"Holden is hurting to Hayden, if his heart was beating it would be broken right now." Alicia said. "I'm not sure either hun, and I don't like this feeling I'm getting from Holden." She said putting her hand on her chest.
Holden nodded and went to his room to start packing his stuff. He had a blank expression on his face as he entered his room. He shut the door and leaned on it, he quickly fell to the ground and started crying silently. Alicia got wide eyed as she finally got back into Holden's mind. "He didn't." She said looking to Hayden. "Go check on Solomon, ok?" Alicia said as she teleported to Holden. |
Hayden tilted her head, "What did he do?" She frowned hurrying back to Solomon. She paused in the doorway, "Soly..are you..alright?" She stepped over, tugging on his sleeve, "Solomon.."
Solomon looked over to Hayden with a slight smile, "I'm fine, really." He grabbed her hand and pulled her up to carry her, "He just needs to sort things out.' He nodded slightly, a twinge of pain covered his face for a brief second, "Come on, I have to fix Amanda's memories." He left the study, going to Amanda's room. Hayden put her arms around his shoulders, resting her head on him, "Solomon, don't lie to me. I know you're not alright." She put her finger to his heart, "It may not be alive anymore, but I know it still hurts." Solomon frowned, "Please. Don't.' He set Hayden down, put his hand to Amanda's forehead, "I am perfectly alright. Okay?" He quickly manipulated the girl's memories then turned to Hayden, "You can wake her up? Kay? Help me out a bit" He smiled, giving her a wink. Hayden jumped up in the bed, flicking Amanda on the nose to wake her up, "Wake up sleepy head~" |
Alicia crossed her arms as she appeared in front of Holden. "Why did you just break his heart?" She asked. "And yours as well? God you are so stupid sometimes. You just threw away something great." She said getting angry.
"Alicia stop, just stop, ok? I know what I just did, but I need time..." He said but Alicia cut him off. "Time? Time to do what? Get yourself killed? Or Amanda? I know you love all of us, but you can't live without Solomon." She said trying to knock some sense into Holden. "I know Alicia that is why this is so hard." He said wiping his eyes as he stood up. "No Holden, you are doing this because you are scared. You have never been in a relationship where the person actually knows you. You have gone around your whole life with just me knowing almost everything about you. You are gonna throw everything away because you are scared." She said raising her voice. "I am not scared Alicia, I really need to figure things out." He said getting angry. "He is gonna be pissed about this." "Do you think your dad had time to figure stuff out before he died? What about Abby? Do you think she had time to figure stuff out? What about Amanda, hm? If she would of died do you think she had time to figure stuff out?" She said. "How dare you!" He said looking up at Alicia. "How dare I? How dare you?" She said gulping a little bit. "You know what your mother was right you are a disappointment." She said painfully. Holden's eyes went bright red. He grabbed Alicia with TK and threw her against the door. He quickly grabbed her by the throat. "FUCK YOU ALICIA! You are my friend how dare you agree with that bitch? Huh? I am NOT a disappointment! Do you hear me Alicia? What about you mom? Do you hear me to? I am not a disappointment! I am who I am, and only I can choose that!" Holden was screaming. "What's going on?" Amanda asked sitting up. "Where's Holden?" She asked looking around. "Solomon what's going on?" Amanda said with pleading eyes. She jumped when she heard a loud thud, she also heard Holden screaming. "What's wrong with Holden? This isn't him." Amanda said as she tightly grabbed her dress. Alicia adjusted on the door, "That's right Holden You are not a disappointment! You are a great person, who needs to be around great people. Like me, and Solomon. This is why you can't leave Solomon, your heart is already shattered, why shatter it more?" She asked hoping he would put her down. "My heart will always be broken Alicia, over time I will forget my losses and move on. But! How dare you agree with my mother? If Solomon wouldn't of killed her I would have!" Holden yelled putting more pressure on Alicia. "You wouldn't of been able to Holden, you loved her. Even though she beat you, you still loved her." She said now fully off of the floor. "I didn't love her, she criticized me at every turn and beat me mentally and physically. I didn't love her." He said squeezing Alicia's neck harder, his nails were digging into her neck. "YES YOU DID!" Alicia yelled trying to drill it in to his head. "NO I DIDN'T!" Holden said as he pulled Alicia back and sent her flying through the door. Alicia went flying through the door and into the wall, "Yes you did." She said gasping for air. Holden walked over the shattered door, his eyes were still glowing red. "How? How could I love her?" He asked finally realizing that he did love his mother. He kneeled down next to Alicia, "I'm sorry." Holden said in a whisper. |
Solomon twitched, "Stop breaking my house!" He looked to Hayden, pointing to Amanda, "Get her downstairs.." He stormed out of the room and down the hall. He went up to Holden, grabbing him by the arm and teleporting them both outside, Holden's possessions were already out there thanks to Solomon.
Hayden nodded, taking Amanda downstairs and outside quickly, "I'm sorry Amanda..Solo isn't usually like this..I hope everything will be okay with you and Holden." She made sure Amanda could not see where Solomon was about to teleport. After he had teleported, she quickly inserted the memory of Solomon dragging Holden outside by the arm. He threw Holden at the BMW, his eyes narrowed, "Every fucking time I get something fixed, you go and destroy it. I want you and your stupid sister gone. Now. I'm sick of all my stuff getting broken because of you. You know, ever since I met you, things have only gotten worse. Get off my property now." He scoffed a bit, running his hand through his hair with another slight laugh, "You know, I can't believe I actually thought I could help you. Jaclynn tried to tell me, but I didn't listen. Perhaps I should have." He growled a bit, then turned and stormed back inside up and teleported to Alicia. He pointed to the driveway, "Get. Out." Hayden went to the ground, covering her ears as Solomon yelled. Once he was gone, she looked up to Holden, her eyes red for a moment, "You really hurt him..." She skittered back inside, hiding in the sink cupboard in the kitchen. |
Holden stumbled as he was thrown at the BMW. He looked down when Hayden spoke, he sighed as he grabbed the big key ring out of his jacket. He opened the trunk and started packing as much as he could, he put the rest in the backseat. He was surprised that all of his and Amanda's stuff fit into the BMW.
Alicia teleported to the bottom of the stairs and quickly ran out. "Way to go Holden." She said with a glare. "Shut up, this is all your fault anyway Alicia. You hooked us up." He said glaring back. "Here follow me to my house." He said as he tossed the spare key to the Corvette to Alicia. "Get in Amanda." He said as he opened the door for her. Alicia didn't wanna go with Holden but she didn't wanna go home. She sighed deeply and went to the red Corvette. Holden shut the door when Amanda was in he walked over and got in, he started the car and gently drove off of the grass. "I'll have someone come pick up my other cars tomorrow." Holden thought to himself. |
Solomon dragged his hand through his hair, looking around at all the broken glass that had yet to be picked up; not to mention the windows. He let out a sigh as he went into the kitchen, opening the cabinet door where Hayden was hiding. He was rather surprised when she slammed her foot into his chest and slammed the door shut. He sat there, blinking a few times, "What was that for?"
Hayden held the doors closed with telekinesis, "You're angry. I don't want to talk to you right now." She curled up underneath there, moving some buckets and bottles to hide herself. Solomon turned his head to the side slightly, "I'm not angry with you Hayden. Holden's leaving, you don't have to worry anymore." He gently tugged on the door, knowing it would not budge. "Come on, I want to show you something." Hayden refused to let the door open, "You're angry at me too. I can feel it. Go away." Solomon sighed standing up and brushing himself off, "Very well." With that, he teleported up to his study. With another sigh, he looked outside, pondering what to do. His eyes became a slight red as his body decided for him. He needed to feed; and he would need a lot of blood to reach '100%'. And so, that's what he set off to do. |
Holden pulled up to his house. "Here we are." He said looking blankly at the house. "I don't know if there is any furniture in here, but I will figure out something for you to sleep on tonight." He said as he got out of the car to unlock the gate. "I'll have to have someone come out here to fix it." He said as he pushed open the gate. He went back to the BMW and got in, he drove the car in. He waited for Alicia, when she was in he shut the gate.

Hayden cracked open the door, peering out. "Solomon?" She couldn't sense him anywhere on the property. She frowned, stepping out and dusting the cobwebs and such from her hair. She skittered around until she found one of the servants, "Where's Solo?"
Anne turned and looked down to the girl. She frowned a bit, kneeling down, "I'm not sure, Hun. I'm sure he'll be back soon. Is it anything I can help you with?" Hayden frowned some more, "He never leaves without telling me where he's going. Ah..umm...I'm just..worried about him." She then noticed the clothes Anne was wearing, "Ah! You're a chef! Oh my gosh!" She grinned largely, "C-can you make tiramisu? Plleeaasee? I haven't had any in over 20 years." She tugged on Anne's sleeve, "Ppplleeaasseee?" Anne laughed weakly, Another vampire..marvelous. She smiled standing up and picking up the girl, "Sure! I'd love to make some! Oh! We can share and make a date of it!" She took Hayden back to the kitchen, getting everything ready, "Would you like to help?" She laughed, giving the girl an apron as she nodded ferociously. |
Holden had everything in the house, there was no furniture other then a couch. "Curious." He thought to himself as he looked around. "Ok Amanda stay here with Alicia while I go and order some furniture. When I get back we need to talk Alicia." He said with a weak smile as he went out to two of his six cars. He got into the Corvette, and drive off to the furniture store. Holden arrived back at his house after two hours, he got out of the car and went inside. He put the pizza down on the counter. "Ok, so you are having pizza for supper, Alicia let's talk. Amanda we will be in the other room talking, so if you need anything just come in there." He said as he gently grabbed Alicia and dragged her into the other room.

After a few hours, they were finished. Hayden smiled, clapping her hands rapidly, "Oh it looks marvelous~ Oh! Chef takes first bite!" She swiftly cut a piece for Anne, handing it to her before cutting her own.
Anne chuckled slightly, taking a fork and cutting a piece to eat, "Well, we both made it, so we should do it at the same time. Okay?" Hayden nodded, cutting the tip off her slice, "Ready? Okay..three..two..one!" They both popped the pieces into their mouths. Hayden just about drooled as she ate the piece, "Oh my gosh! This is soooo yummy~" She purred slightly as she ate. Anne smiled, "Well I'm glad you like it, dear. Oh! How rude! I never introduced myself! My name's Anne." She set her fork down on her plate holding out her hand, "You are..?" Hayden jumped, quickly doing the same and shaking Anne's hand, "Hayden! I'm Solomon's sister." She took her hand back afterwards and finished off her piece. Anne smiled, following suit, "I didn't know he had any family." She took the plates and forks, putting them in the large dishwasher then worked to clean up the kitchen. Hayden looked down, her hands being covered by her sleeves as she brought them together and laced her fingers, "Solo doesn't like to talk about me. He's really mad at me and I think he kind of hates me." "Oh, hun, Solomon could never hate you, just like I know he doesn't hate Holden; even if he tries to think otherwise." Hayden shook her head, "I'm not so sure..I did a really bad thing..." She kept her head low, her face contorted with regret. |
Alicia looked scared as Holden pulled her into the other room. "Please don't throw me through anything my back still hurts." She said stepping backwards.
"Stop it ok, you got me upset. I'm sorry for throwing you through the door." Holden said with a sigh. "I want to go and apologize to Solomon but he is really pissed at me. But he has a right to be." He said pinching his nose. "I'm sorry too, I intentionally got you upset. I wanted you to admit you loved your mom." She said with a sigh. "I just didn't know you were going to throw me through a door." She said looking down. "You know what Alicia? It doesn't matter 'water under the bridge' as they say. I want you to move in with us, you will basically be here all the time anyway, so let's make it easier on you. There is a basement that can be your whole floor." He said with a smile. "Fine but you need to learn how to control your temper." She said scolding him. "Well don't piss me off and we will be fine." He said as he gave Alica a hug. "I'll try, so does that mean I can drive any of your cars whenever I want to?" Alicia asked with a smile. "Ya, and they will be here later today. I sent a crew to pick them up. As well as a maintenance person to fix the gate. And the furniture will be here tomorrow." Holden said with a smile. A man holding a clipboard walked up to the front door of Solomon's manor and knocked. |
"Oh come on, it ca-" Anne turned, hearing the knock, "Hun, wait here. I don't think Solomon is back yet." She hurried to the front door, wiping her hand son her white apron then opened the door, "Can I help you?"
Hayden followed along silently, peering around the corner as Anne spoke with the man, "Soly..where are you?" She cringed when she didn't receive a response. He always answered. |
"Hello ma'am, My name is Reginald and I am here to pick up a Ford Mustang, a Lamborghini, a Audi, and a red Ferrari. For a Mr. Holden Evans, and I am supposed to give this envelope to a Mr. Solomon Kalika." The man said looking down at his clipboard. "Is he home?" The man asked as he pulled the envelope from his clipboard.
"I hope he reads the letter." Holden thought to himself as he sat on the couch. The letter said: "Dear Solomon, I am sorry I have ruined your life. I don't know what came over me. I wanted to tell you that I will always love you, I know it might take years for you to forgive me. But I hope you do. I hope you have a wonderful life without me destroying it anymore then I already have. Sincerely, ~Holden P.S.: Also enclosed in this envelope is a check for $500,000 to finish your garage, pay for the door, the windows, and anything else I have broken. |
Anne took the envelope, "Mr. Kalika is away right now. The cars are over there," She pointed to each one, "Just try to not tear up the lawn, alright? He's got enough repairs to worry about. Do I need to sign anything for him?"
Hayden scurried over, taking the envelope from Anne, "I'll give it to him, kay? I think I know where to find him." She gave Anna a quick hug then skittered off out of sight. When she was sure it was safe, she teleported herself to the pond just off the side of his property. She looked around and frowned, "He's..not here.." She fell to the ground with a heavy sigh and began to cry softly, holding the sealed envelope. "Solomon, please..." Solomon suddenly appeared in front of Hayden, his hands shoved in his pockets, "I told you Hayden, I am not mad at you..." He knelt down with a sigh, pulling her into a hug, "And no matter what you do, you know I will always love you." He pulled the envelope from her, "Just don't cry...I can't stand it when you cry." Hayden sniffled, whipping her tears on her kimono sleeve. She pushed herself against Solomon, clinging onto his vest, "I love you too." She purred slightly then stepped back with a twirl, "I think it's from that boy..it smells like him. Are you going to read it?" Solomon shrugged, folding it and putting it in his vest pocket as he stood, "It's probably just some apology letter with money for the damage he caused to my house. Personally, I'm not interesting in it." He pulled a cigarette from the pack in his pocket, lighting it with just a thought. He took a long drag, looking down to Hayden as he exhaled the smoke, "Oh! That's right..I have to call Marsha...I'm not sure how long it'll take him to get those papers done..I don't want her to reconsider her offer because he's late." Hayden tilted her head slightly, frowning as he lit the cigarette, "That's nasty... You'd help him..still?" Solomon chuckled, taking her hand and walking back towards the Manor, "Well of course. I may be furious right now, but I'm not going to deprive Amanda of an education. After all, they've got enough to worry about." "You're a very strange man Solomon." "Coming from the 500 year old vampire who pretends she's six? Thanks." |
"Um yes you do." He said looking over the papers. "Just here." The man said pointing to a line. The man stuck up his fist, four people came from the truck and ran to the cars. They all got in the cars and started them, they slowly drove them off of the grass and onto the dual layer flatbed truck. After Anne signed the paper the man bowed, "Thank you ma'am, have a nice day." He said as he went back to the truck.

Anne signed the paper and shut the door, "Well then.." She headed off to find something to occupy her time. She never understood why a vampire would want a chef...
Hayden punched Solomon in the gut, "That was mean!" She crossed her arms and stuck out her tongue, "I thought you weren't mad at me." "Ooomph!" Solomon grabbed his torso and went to his knees. Sometimes he forgot that Hayden was a vampire. "Ugh, you didn't have to hit me so hard." After a moment to recover, he stood, narrowing his eyes, "Ooohh, you're going to get it now!" Hayden squealed, "I'm sorry!" And with that, she ran off as fast as she could. Solomon chuckled, walking on as she ran, "There, that took care of her." After a few more minutes of walking he came up to the Manor, not surprised to see Holden's cars missing. Bout time they got off my lawn... He had moved his cars to the driveway, having no need to really use it since he was planning on staying home most of the time. He came inside the back door, looking around for Hayden, "Dammit Hayden..the longer you stall, the longer I'm going to make you live there! And no visits again!" Hayden appeared in front of Solomon, sadness all over her face, "Please don't make me go back. I'm sorry, I'll behave. I promise." Solomon frowned slightly, "I can't do that Hayden. You have to go; that's what's been decided by the Council." |
Holden looked at the sleeping Amanda, and then to Alicia who was laying on the floor. "Watch her for me I am going out for a few." He said as he got up off of the couch.
"Your gonna go out and feed right?" Alicia asked looking at Holden. "Yes I am. plus I am going to turn in her school papers." He said as he reached the door. "I don't think that she would still be there, its 8:30 p.m." She said as she got up and sat on the couch. "They have a drop box, you dingbat." He said with a smile. "Hey now be nice." Alicia said squeezing his brain. Holden hopped into the corvette and quietly drove out of his driveway. |
Solomon sighed seeing her face, and stood, "Fine..one day. That's it. Anyway, I have to get on the phone.." He teleported himself to his study, pulling out his cell phone. He doubted Marsha would still be on Campus, but that was the only number he had. He left a short message for her and replaced the phone back in his pocket.
Hayden clapped, following him by foot, "Oh come Soly, pleeeaasssee? You could do an appeal." Solomon shook his head, "I don't have that kind of influence and you know that..not to mention, you have Jaclynn's death to be added. She was a Council member you know." Hayden frowned, stiffened, "I..but she...Solo, you can't just...not help me." She looked up at him with teary eyes. "I won't do anymore bad things. I promise." Solomon clenched his fist, the lamp on his desk exploded, "Hayden! I can't..." he frowned seeing she was ready to cry again. "I'm sorry.." He picked her up, using his thumb to wipe away a tear, "I'll see what I can do." He looked over, seeing something odd on his couch. "Oh..he forgot his jacket.." He walked over, picking it up with one hand while his other arm held Hayden with ease, "Oh, I almost forgot..Hayden..umm..the Jaguar.." He looked away, "..was destroyed.." "What!?" Hayden shrieked, forcing Solomon to cover his ear with his free hand, "But!" She frowned holding onto him and resting her chin on his shoulder, "It's okay...as long as you're alright." He searched the city for Holden's mind, but seeing as it was speeding through the streets, he searched for Amanda. "Oh I see...you live there. He teleported himself to outside the house, letting out a sigh as he looked at the jacket. "You know, you're being a butt-head. Like you said, Holden needs to come to terms his own way. You don't need to make it worse by being so stupid." She turned her head so she was facing his neck, "Solo, I'm hungry." Solomon shifted her a bit in his arm, "You know you can't do that right now..." He knocked on the door, waiting for Alicia to answer the door. He would've teleported inside, but he was unsure if Amanda would wake up or not. He'd rather not chance it. |
Alicia sighed as she heard the knock on the door, Who in the hell could that be?" She asked feeling for the person. "Great." She said as she got up and walked to the door. She opened it, "What's up Solomon?" She asked crossing her arms. "I would invite you since I live here, but I think Holden would be mad." Alicia said staring at Solomon.
Holden made it to the school, "Pitch black, nice." He said as he walked up to the drop box. He dropped the manila folder into the drop box and teleported to his car. "Now is there someone nearby?" He said as he scanned his surroundings. "Ah there we go." He said with a evil smile as he teleported behind his victim. He knocked out the man and pulled him into the closest alleyway. He looked around and quickly jammed his fangs onto the man's neck. Holden drained the man of his blood, he quickly threw the dead body down and teleported to his car and headed home. |
Solomon flinched, "Such venom..either way, here." He threw the jacket at her, "He forgot it." He looked over his shoulder, "Christ..you need to teach him to not kill.." He shook his head and disappeared, appearing by the body.
He set Hayden down as he knelt down, examining him, "He's going to end up getting himself killed if he keeps this up." He looked over to Hayden as she crouched beside him, "Look familiar Hayden?" She frowned, "I said sorry like..400 times now.." She stood up, "Can I please just go have one? I'm sooo hungry." Solomon shook his head, "I will supply you with your blood, just like back there." He stood, bringing the body up with him and slinging it over his shoulder, "Come on, we have to dispose of him." He grabbed her hand with his free one, teleporting them to the pond, throwing the body down, "You can burn him..I'll keep it contained and make sure it's not seen." Hayden smiled, snapping her fingers, sparks flew form her fingers and landed on the body, starting it on fire. She did her best ot make it quick and contained, even though Solomon said he'd do it. She wanted to show him she could. After wards, she looked up at him with a frown, "You should apologize as well Solo..." |
Alicia was taken aback by the jacket when it hit her in the face. She pulled it down, "Well there's a lot of things you could of taught him." She said as he disappeared. She slammed the door but blocked the sound so it wouldn't wake Amanda. She was finally sleeping on her own. She quickly teleported to Holden's room and threw it on the floor by his clothes. She teleported back by the door, and walked back to the couch and sat down. Alicia sighed.
Holden pulled into his driveway a few minutes later. He got out of the car and walked to the door. He stopped and sniffed the air, he stormed into the house, and went to the living room. "What was Solomon doing here?" He asked slightly pissed. "He dropped off your old jacket." She said looking at Holden. He wanted to scream but he didn't want to wake Amanda up. "Calm down he was only here for a second, I didn't let him in." She said trying to calm him down. "He was still at my house. I don't want him here, I know that I still love him. It's just gah." Holden said as he plopped down on the floor. "Just settle down Holden." Alicia said with a reassuring smile. |
Solomon looked at her like she was crazy..well..she was, "E-excuse me? He brought this unto himself. D-don't give me that..that look Hayden! Stop it." He looked away, shoving his hands in his pockets. "The only thing I'm sorry for is turning him. It was a huge mistake."
Hayden frowned, going over and hugging his legs, "You're lying again Soly..." She sighed, "Imma go back...I want to spend some time with Anne, she's so much fun." With that, she disappeared. Solomon took his left hand and ran it through his hair with a heavy sigh, "I'm not lying.." He looked down after she had disappeared, "It was the worst thing to do.." He walked back, arriving about half an hour later. He went into the stables, going into Zera's stall. The hose nickered, resting her head on his shoulder, "Yeah..I know..I already miss him." He sat down on the edge of the hay container in her stall, petting her neck. He closed his eyes with a sigh, "What am I going to do with Kali? She's going to get awfully depressed if she doesn't see him soon." The horse sighed as well. "You're so much help," he said sarcastically. Hayden had actually teleported outside Holden's house, wincing as she noticed he was home. She had only wanted to speak with Alicia; Holden made her angry for what he did to Solomon. She quickly masked herself from the vampires, debating on whether or not she wanted to knock. After a moment of contemplation, she gently knocked on the door, barely making a sound. |
Holden spun around quickly when he heard someone at the door. He walked slowly to the door not wanting to open it. He sighed deeply as he opened the door, "Hi Hayden, are you here to yell at me?" He asked as he looked around, no Solomon. He sighed again, "Come in, I think Solomon would be madder if I left his sister standing out in the cold." He said as he stepped out of the way.

Hayden jumped, "No, I.." She looked down, trailing off an quietly shuffling inside. "I..came to apologize for Solomon. He's being too much of a butt-head to do it himself, but I wanted you to know." Her fingers toyed with the edges of her sleeves. She kept her eyes down, "I know he's sorry; and he still cares for you..but..he's just being a stubborn dunder-head." She quickly glanced up at Holden, then moved away.

Holden sighed as he took a knee, "It's not just his fault its mine too." He said with an exhausted look on his face. "If I wouldn't of met him none of this would of happened, granted I would still be getting abused..." He said as he trailed off. He quickly snapped back, "Thank you for telling me Hayden, but I would rather hear it from Solomon directly." He said with a small smile. "Its kind of funny, me and him have the same type of sister. Amanda would do anything for me, and I can tell you would do anything for Solomon." He said still with a smile. "I know we don't have to eat human food but there is some leftover pizza if you want some." He said as he stood up. He snapped his fingers. "That's right." He said as he disappeared. He appeared in his room and quickly looked for his painting stuff. "Ha found it." He said as he teleported back to Hayden. "Sorry if I scared you, but here can you give this to Solomon for me? I know its not the same as the one he had before, but it was the closest one I could find." He said as he handed the key for a 1954 Jaguar XK 140 to Hayden. Holden gave her a smile while he waited for her to take the key.

Hayden shook her head, "I'm okay.." He held out her hands, looking at the key as it was dropped into her palms. Being one for Jaguars, she recognized the key. "I..don't think he'll want it. He doesn't like it when you spend money on him like that...but, I will be sure to make him appreciate it nonetheless." She flinched a bit, looking up to Holden, "How was the 120 destroyed? Soly said he'd protect that car with his life.." She sighed heavily, sitting on the floor now. "I got that for him on a very special birthday..."

Holden smiled, "I'll tell you what happened, if you tell me what made that birthday special, ok?" He said as he sat down a little ways away from Hayden, so she wouldn't be uncomfortable. "This would be nicer if I had furniture to sit on, but oh well." He said as he crossed his legs. "Well a few days before my dad's 'heart attack', Solomon's garage exploded. I didn't figure out what happened until we were in America, when my dad's favorite car exploded out of no where. Also when Jaclynn kidnapped Amanda, anyway, Jaclynn grabbed Solomon's belt buckle and it exploded. I smelled burning metal, all three times. So what I'm assuming is that Jaclynn changed the chemical makeup of the cars, and the buckle to make them explode." He said with a frown. "I saved his life the day the garage exploded, I thought he was dead." He said looking down. Holden looked up and gave Hayden a smile.

Hayden nodded, "Fair deal." She became extremely tense as she pulled the memory from his mind while he discussed it. Her eyes became bright red as she watched the scene unfold in her mind. "Of course..she was..talented like that."
She clenched her tiny hands, her rose nails cutting deep into her skin causing her to bleed. "On his 550th birthday, I got him the car, mainly as an apology...but he also likes to collect things...so I thought he'd like to add it to his growing car collection." She paused, holding back tears as she looked to the floor again. "I can't believe that it's gone...it was the last gift I had given him.." |
Holden nodded as he listened, "I see, its ok Hayden. How about this you take the credit for the car. There is nothing other then my scent, that would say that I was the one who bought the car." He said with a smile. "Now enough about the past, let's talk about the present. Are you hungry? Alicia bought some bottled blood, I know Solomon hates it but do you?" He asked as he stood up. "Don't worry to much about Amanda, a nuclear bomb could go off and she would still be asleep." Holden said with a smile as he walked to the kitchen to grab a couple bottles of blood.

Hayden tensed as he mentioned blood. She quickly shook her head, even though she really wanted some. "Solomon doesn't let me drink blood...unless I really need it...like..near death need..." She looked away from both of them, her eyes glued to the floor. A tremor wracked her body as Holden left. Her body desperately desired some blood, but she would not disobey Solomon. She promised him she'd be good and that she'd listen to him. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to get her mind off it.

Holden stopped when Hayden said no, he walked back to her, "Ok, um like I said there is only a couch here until tomorrow. Do you know how to paint or draw? Or would you like to see some of my paintings?" He asked sweetly. "But you should go back soon so Solomon doesn't get worried, I have a feeling he doesn't know you are here." Holden said with a slight frown.

Hayden just sat there, "No, I don't. I don't get out much...Solomon doesn't let me." She hunched over, feeling weakened by her words. Solomon loved her, and cared for her, and here she was making him seem like he was evil. "Solo is a wonderful brother..but..he says I'm..'not fit for society.'..because I did a bad thing..." She flopped over to her side, bringing her knees up and wrapping her arms around them,
"Please don't be mad at Solomon...he's only trying to protect me...and..he's right...I'm not..'fit'..." She tilted her head to look at Holden, "He's mad at me right now..is it okay if I just lay here for awhile? I'll be good, I promise." She turned her head again so her face was mostly in the floor, her hair covering her face as she did so. |
Holden had a confused look on his face, he went to the couch to grab one of the pillows off of the couch. He walked over to Hayden and offered her the pillow. He sighed a little, "I promise I'm not mad at Solomon." He said with a smile. "Of course you can sweety. He felt like he was taking care of Amanda. "Will you tell me what you did? If you don't want to that's fine." Holden said as he rubbed his hand through his hair.

Hayden took the pillow, clinging to it and wrapping her legs around it. "I..can't..Solomon would get mad." Her body shook as she fought her tears. "It was really really bad...and that's why Solomon doesn't like me like he used to. I know he still loves me, but only because I'm his twi-sister..." She buried her face into the pillow to muffle the sounds of her crying. Solomon did not like people knowing they were twins..for whatever reason. Perhaps it was because of what she did.
Solomon closed his eyes tightly, grabbing at his shirt above his heart. He knew she was at Holden's, but that bothered him none. It was the fact that she was now crying that hurt him. He knew Holden was not the cause of it, and so he remained in his study, knowing Hayden did not want him to get her. She would come back when she was ready; and then he'd send her off..again. |
Holden felt bad for Hayden, "Shh Hayden its ok. I'm sure no matter what you did I'm sure Solomon loves you the same as he did before this incident. Trust me ok? Nothing a person could do could make someone love them less." He said wanting to put his hand on her shoulder, but decided against it. "Family love is unconditional, no mater what." He said looking to Alicia who was holding back tears. He was searching his mind for something to do to calm Hayden down. He peered over to Amanda, "Ok, now don't laugh at me but I used to sing this to my daughter Abby when she got upset." He cleared his throat, " ♫ Baby mine, don't you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart. Never to part, baby of mine. Little one when you play. Don't you mind what you say. Let those eyes sparkle and shine, Never a tear, baby of mine. Hayden just sat there, her face buried in the pillow, "But.." She sighed, listening to him. He had a rather soothing voice. She rolled over so her back was to Holden and Alicia. "Solomon hasn't sung to me in a long time.." She let out another quiet sigh, "I'm sorry.. My problems are with Solomon...I shouldn't be bothering you with them...I just..don't know what I can do to make him know I'm sorry. He just won't believe me no matter what I do."She hugged the pillow tighter, threatening to pop the stitches.

Holden closed his eyes and wiped away the tears. "Hayden its ok I don't mind." He said as he looked at Alica who was full on crying now. He did the sighing motion, he was doing it because of Alicia, he didn't want to do it out loud. He didn't want Hayden to think that it is because of her. He thought for a second, "Hayden what is your favorite movie?" He asked trying to change the subject.

Hayden rolled back up to her butt, tilting her head as she rested her chin on the pillow. She started at Holden with her icy eyes, "Movie?" The way she inquired about it made it seem like she had never heard of the term. She blinked a few times, curious. "Ummm...I...don't know what that is..." She wanted to state Solomon kept many luxuries from her, but she didn't want her brother to be portrayed as the bad guy. "L-like I said...I don't get out much..."
