"Still..nonetheless...at least you're okay..I wish this would just end. Either kill me or leave me be." She then addressed Sean, "We couldn't...you knew where the kids were, we couldn't let her figure out that information, but now, it's too late." She sighed in their heads, unable to actually do it.

"Me to." Seth said very incoherently. Seth faded in and out of Serus' conversation with Sean.
"Actually no I don't Jaelynn showed up and did something and now I don't know where the kids are." Sean said with a confused look on his face. |
"I see..that's good..where's Felix..?"
Jaelynn paced back and forth, unable to think of anything else to do. She was the only one who knew where the girls were, so she couldn't go help Serus get the blood she needed. She chewed on her cheek, glancing over as Aria and Lexi came in, still crying a bit. "Girls.." she hurried over, crouching down and hugging them, "They're alright..don't worry. Felix and Sean are taking care of them." |
"He went to get us some blood." Seth said as his eyes rolled back into his head.
Sean noticed Seth's eyes roll back. "Seth? Seth? he's still breathing so to speak. He must of passed out." Sean said as he tried to get comfortable. "Come on Felix get your ass back here." He said getting worried. A few minutes later Felix teleported to Seth. "Is he ok?" He asked as a big thunderclap came and it started to rain. "Well at least he did get a shelter up." Felix said as he handed a bottle of blood to Sean. Felix went over to Serus and opened a bottle for her. He held it to her mouth. He hoped she had enough strength to drink on her own. Sean sighed as he grabbed the bottle. "Ya but I wish he didn't use all of his power." Sean said as he opened Seth's mouth and started to poor the blood in. Seth woke up a little bit when the thunderclap came. "I told you." Seth said very weakly to Serus. He put his hand up to a little window he put in so that they could see out. "I hope this will help." He thought as he pulled in some energy from the lightning. "I need to stop." Seth said to himself as he put his fist into the ground to ground himself. Seth sat up. "Oh my head." He said as he shook his head. "Seth don't sit up." Sean said as Seth sat up. "You need to rest." He said pushing Seth back down on the ground. |
Serus was relieved to hear Felix's voice. The second she felt the blood trail down her throat, she could feel the strength from it instantly go to healing her shattered bones. It was rather painful as her internal organs, her blood vessels, and all that hooplah began to repair themselves. As her muscles reattached and rebuilt themselves, her body started to seize as her brain tested the nerve connections.
Her thrashing sent new boughts of pain through her body, causing her to open her mouth in silent hoarse screams. After a few minutes she was still and silent, wondering if Felix had more blood to give to her. She had already used up the power she gained from the first bottle. |
Felix sat there while her body shook, he knew Serus' brain was making the connections. He reached into the bag and grabbed two bottles and handed one to Sean. Felix opened it and started to pour it down Serus' throat.
Sean grabbed the bottle from Felix and opened it. "I swear Seth its just like when we were kids again." Sean said as he started to pour the new bottle down Seth's throat. Seth's body went into shock when the blood entered his system. He was unable to move or speak. He was scared this has never happened to him before. |
After a few more bottles of blood, her lungs had finally re-inflated. She coughed a bit as the blood was cleared out, rolling to her side and spitting it out. She rolled back onto her back with a sigh, "Seth..you alright?" She sat up, looking over at him, using her elbows to prop her up.

Seth heard Serus talk to him but he still couldn't talk. He felt his powers returning. He wanted to answer her and tell her he was ok, but his mind wasn't letting him. After a few minutes of trying to talk he looked at her and shook his head.
"Seth why aren't you saying anything?" Sean asked starting to get concerned. He put his hand on Seth's forehead to read his mind. After a second he looked at Serus. "His mind isn't letting him speak." Sean said as he took his hand off of Seth's head. |
Serus held her head as it began to throb, "Don't look at me. Jaelynn will have to examine it. My head hurts every time I try to gather up power. And that also means no telepathy to me. It'll hurt." She sighed, looking to Felix, "Can you contact Jaelynn for me? Or go get her. She's with the kids, but...I..don't know where it is. I hope you do."

"I know where she is." Felix said as he gathered up his power to teleport to Jaelynn. "Hey Jaelynn, there is something wrong with Seth his mind wont let him speak. Are you able to teleport? Cause if you can I will stay here with the kids." Felix said looking at Seth's old apartment.
"Don't worry Seth I'm sure Jaelynn can help you." Sean said as he looked at Serus. |
Jaelynn turned as Felix appear, "Sure, of course. At least she let one of you remember where we were. Anyway, Annemarie is sleeping, but the twins have been in and out of this room crying and sobbing. Good luck." She gave him a quick hug then teleported where she sensed her mother and Seth.
She scowled with a small yelp, turning around and pulling at her hair, which was caught in the wall, "Dammit Seth, why'd you make this fucking hut so damn small!?" With an irritated grunt she used her telekinesis to cut her hair then turning to face them, "So..what's the issue?" Serus sighed as Jaelynn started to yell, holding her head and covering her ears, "Please stop yelling Jae. Thank you. For some reason, the signals from his brain aren't making it to his vocal chords, or if they are, the chords aren't reacting. Have fun." |
Sean laughed a little bit when Jaelynn appeared and yelled. "She does have a good point why did you make it small?" Sean asked looking at Seth.
Seth shrugged wishing he could say that when he built it he didn't have much power. Seth just laid there feeling useless. |
"Sean, can you take Serus inside? It's so damn cramped in here." When the two were gone she sat in front of Seth, "So..nothing at all? Interesting.." She placed her hand to his throat, examining his vocal cords and nerves.

Sean nodded and picked up Serus and teleported her into the room that they were in before. "Sorry if I hurt you when I picked you up." Sean said as he put her on the bed.
Seth shook his head at Jaelynn. Seth sat there while she examined his vocal cords. |
Serus winced, "It's alright. It's not as bad as when you guys first came." She smiled a bit, leaning back against the headboard, "I wonder what's wrong with Seth."
"Strange. There was no damage to your vocal chords, nor anything else that would affect you like this." She moved her hand to his forehead, searching his mind. "Hmm..I don't see any damage to your brain either. It was mainly to your bones and such, not the brain or voice box. To tell you the truth Seth, I have no idea what's wrong." |
"Me to." Sean said as he sat on the couch. He let out a sigh. "I wonder if the demon had something to do with it." Sean said scratching his head.
Seth looked upset when Jaelynn said she doesn't know what was wrong with him. Seth scooted closer to the wall and cut his finger he started to write. "I don't understand this, I wanna talk but I can't." Seth wrote "sigh" on the wall. It wasn't raining out any more, he wrote. "Can you help me inside?" Seth finished writing as he started to stand up. He put both of his hands on the wall when he was standing and the little shack disappeared. He gently walked over to Jaelynn and put his arm around her neck. He looked at Jaelynn and mouthed "I'm sorry." |
Jaelynn shrugged, supporting Seth with her arm around his waist, "I couldn't tell you Seth. I'll need to examine you more closely, but for now you should rest. You can still use telepathy right?" She led him inside, taking her time, careful not to jar him too much, unsure if he was sore or not.

"I think so." Seth said feeling his back tighten up. "I think I took out the demon's puppet." Seth said not liking the silence.

She nodded, "Well, at least you can still communicate..Ill try to figure it out. But first, where is the puppet? I want to see something." She took him up the stairs and set him down on the bed next to Serus, "I wasn't able to find anything wrong, but I'll look more closely after he rests. Right now, I need to check on something. By the way, the kids are fine if you're wondering."

Seth nodded. "It's shattered in the downstairs hallway to the right." Seth said trying to ignore his back pain. Seth gingerly laid on the bed instantly feeling his back loosen up. "Thanks for helping me in here." Seth said looking at her and gave her a smile. "Thanks for watching over them Jae." He said wondering how Annemarie was doing.

She nodded then hurried out to look over the doll.
Serus sighed, sitting up, "I'm going with her." She climbed out of the bed, holding onto the bedpost for just a brief moment for support. She shuffled down the hall, occasionally having to grab onto something for support. She eventually made it to Jaelynn, who was crouched near the doll, turning it over with a broken table leg. "Well?" "It's very interesting indeed. I've never seen this type of spirit manipulation. It's a very strong bond, that can only be manipulated or broken by the demon herself. I don't want to touch it, as I'm not sure of what is still going on with this marionette." She sighed, standing up and placing her hands on her hips as she looked back to Serus, "It appears she can attach a spirit to anything she feels. Dolls are very popular among spirit manipulators, since they can be used for many various things. Either way, it appears that the spirit that was last inhabiting this doll was the demon. Why she would ever allow a spirit into her body I'm unsure. She must be very strong to keep a spirit in line and obedient like that." Serus nodded a bit, "Intriguing. Abraxas came to us just before she appeared, telling us her name was Azriel and that there were..two of her. He must've meant the marionette. Perhaps, if we can twist the spirit to our side, maybe we can figure out if she has a weakness? Do you think you can contact the spirit she originally attached to the BJD based on the traces left of it?" Jaelynn shook her head, "Not likely. The aura isn't strong enough for me to be able to identify it unless I'm right next to it. Even so, I cannot see spirits, and I bet you that she can. It's most likely I won't be able to even tell if she was here unless she contacted me first. I really only do Projection, not Attachment and Manipulation like she can." |
Seth listened to Serus and Jaelynn. "What can Annemarie do? I haven't had a chance to sit down with her and ask her." Seth asked looking at the ceiling. "Sean I wish that this shit would be over and done with." Seth said not moving his glance.
"I know you do Seth, it will be done soon enough." Sean said looking at Seth. "Then you can go back to your kids and everything will be back to normal." Sean said with a sigh. |
"Damn..can you trace it's path at all? I know you can't see them, but I know you can sense them. Or is it too faint?"
"I can trace it up to the property limit, after that, they both disappear. And I'm not entirely sure what Annemarie can do other than Projection. I can only teach her what I know, of course. If she has any other Ethereal abilities, she has to discover it on her own and hopefully find someone else who can teach her." She sighed, running a hand through her pale blonde hair. "She mentioned Kitra...is it possible she's behind this?" Serus shook her head, "No, I would know if she was. I think she only knows of Kitra, since she was on the previous Council as well. She still thinks her contract is valid, but maybe, if she does see Kitra and she can convince the demoness that the contract is void, perhaps she'd leave us alone. She doesn't seem like she really cares much about the contract to begin with. After some sleep, I will contact Kitra." "I will do that while you sleep. We can't waste time Serus. One more ambush and I'm afraid you won't make it, hun." Jaelynn's expression was completely serious. |
Seth sighed when Jaelynn said that. "I wish I knew what to do." Seth said to everyone. "I feel so helpless." Seth thought to himself.
"Seth you are gonna rest that's all you can do." Sean said taking the older brother tone with him. "Fine Sean." Seth said with a huff. "No Seth you need to rest you haven't been at full power in over a week. You can't do anything in your condition, for christ's sake you can't even talk." Sean said a little agitated. Seth didn't even want to respond to Sean. He scooted down on the bed so he could try and get some rest. |
Serus tilted her head, "What do you mean by that Jaelynn? I feel fine."
She sighed, "Look, that isn't your body. You can only stress it so much before you destroy it. Each time you need to heal from such a condition, you weaken your spirit's connection to the body. You may think you feel fine, but take a close look at yourself." Serus furrowed her brow, "Jael-" She sighed as Jaelynn completely ignored her and continued to speak. As she did, she did take a more thorough look at how she felt. "Come to think of it...I feel..weak..er. I mean, I shouldn't be feeling this..'much like jelly' so to say, by now. It doesn't take me long to recover. So..what does this mean?" |
Seth stopped listening to Serus and Jaelynn, he was pondering things. "What can I do I need to help Serus more I don't want her to die again." Seth thought to himself as he turned onto his side. He felt a surge go up his spine and it hurt. "Ow, wait I wonder if the lightning energy I sucked in is the reason I can't speak." Seth thought with wide eyes. "Jaelynn I sucked in some energy from some lightning earlier could that have done something to me?" Seth asked hoping she would say no.

"I couldn't sense any damage, I would have Serus examine it later once you both are feeling better. Just don't worry about it right now. Just try to sleep. Now if only I could get her to do the same.." She sighed, moving to usher Serus back upstairs, "Come on, we all could use some sleep. I'll bring the kids by once you two have had a good nights' rest."
Serus pulled away from Jaelynn, "Jae, answer me." "Serus, please, you need to rest. You've been through a lot in the last week." She grabbed onto Serus again, teleporting them upstairs and forcing her to at least sit on the bed, "I'm your daughter, not your babysitter, but lately, I'm feeling more like the latter. Now rest." Serus narrowed her eyes, but reluctantly obeyed. She quickly rolled on her side so her back was to Jaelynn and curled up slightly, glaring at the sheets, not really acknowledging the fact that Seth was right in front of her and perhaps he might think she was glaring at him. |
Seth hurt a little bit when Serus sat down on the bed. "Now Serus don't get mad at me but she is right. It's just like Felix he's my friend and he's acting like my butler again." Seth said knowing she would be mad at him. He laid there trying to go to sleep but his brain wouldn't stop thinking. "Damn lightning energy." Seth thought to himself.

"Shut up.." she sighed a bit, closing her eyes. "I know she means well, but I don't need to be wasting my time with sleep right now. I need to contact Kitra. I know she's capable, but I don't want her to feel like she has to do it because I'm unable to."
Jaelynn shook her head, "If she gets up before 5pm tomorrow, contact me Seth. I'll just chain her to the bed." She shook her her head again and disappeared. |
Seth sighed. "Serus we need our rest we haven't been at full power in over a week. It's taxing us I think that could be why I can't speak. Serus I love you and you are capable of many extraordinary things and this is one thing where you need to step aside and take a breather." Seth said slightly upset. "Ok Jae, you get some rest to." He said as he turned the light off. "Sean if you wanna go feel free to you know." Seth said.
"I know but I wanna stay." Sean said as he closed his eyes. "Ahh Seth and Serus when you awake you will be fully healed." Abraxas said as he started to say an incantation. |
"But.." she trailed off, not in the mood to argue. After a few moments, she was already starting to fall asleep. She rolled over, her back to Seth now, I wonder why Jaelynn's so worried..I'm..fine.. She yawned a bit, then found herself drifting in to the deep stages of sleep

With in moments Seth was asleep.
Abraxas finished the incantation. "Now you two sleep now but soon you will need to fight Azriel." He said taking a closer look at Serus. "Hmm after you kill Azriel I will help your spirit." Abraxas said as he went to his room. *** Seth awoke to Felix snoring. "Haha Felix I forgot you snore." Seth said grabbing his throat. "Holy crap I just talked." Seth said as he swung his feet to the floor. He cracked his back and let out a content sigh. "Ah I feel great." Seth said as he stood up. He tried not to make to much noise cause he didn't wanna wake anyone up. Seth teleported to his house to get some clean clothes for him and Serus. While he was at home he got in the shower. He took a few minute shower and got dressed and teleported to Serus to find that no one was awake yet. Seth sighed and put Serus' clothes on the dresser and went to find some blood. |
It was another few hours before Serus finally awoke. The first thing she noticed was how much her body hurt. She let out a mildly pained groan as she rolled to her other side, cracking open one eye, "What time..is it?"

Seth walked back in the room as he saw Serus rolled to her side. "Ah Serus your awake." Seth said as he quietly closed the door. "It's 3:30." He said looking at his watch. He took a drink of blood. "Are you hungry?" He asked as he walked over by Felix. Seth gently sat on the bed and offered the bottle to her. "I don't know about you but I feel fantastic." Seth said trying not to gloat.
Felix rubbed his eyes and looked at Seth. "Wha... What's with all of the noise?" Felix asked as he sat up. Seth looked at Felix. "Sorry Felix I didn't mean to wake you." Seth said slightly upset at himself. "Nah it's fine, it's probably a good time to wake up." Felix said as he stretched. Felix shook his head. "Wait you can talk again?" Felix asked wide eyed. "Ya I can and I don't know how." Seth said cracking his neck. "Oh there's some blood downstairs in the fridge go get a drink for your self, and you might wanna go home and take a shower cause you stink." Seth said waving his hand in front of his nose with a smile on his face. "Haha very funny." Felix said while taking in his smell. "Whew your right." Felix said as he stood up and walked out of the room. |
She shook her head, declining the blood, "'m fine, thanks. Me? Just a bit of soreness in my muscles. Other than that, I feel just fine." She smiled sitting up and swinging her legs over the edge of the bed, "Now that was just a bit rude Seth." She laughed bit, "Although, I'm sure we all do..except you Mr. Earlybird."

Seth smiled and got up and walked over by Serus. He sat down next to her. "I've only been up for an hour." Seth said as he grabbed her hand. "I miss when we were able to sleep in." Seth said raising his eyebrow. Seth heard Sean snort. Seth laughed and looked at Sean. Seth sighed, "Well I'm gonna go and clean up the downstairs. If you need anything just call." Seth said as he kissed Serus and got up. He walked out of the room.

Serus rolled her eyes, looking to Sean when Seth had left, "It's already clean, but he'll figure that out sooner or later. It might appear empty in here, but quite a few vampires live here now. They just know better than to get involved in my business, but that certainly won't stop them from cleaning up. He'll figure it out."

Seth made it downstairs and saw that everything was fixed and cleaned up. "Well this is interesting it was dirty and damaged when I was down here about ten minutes ago." Seth said with a shrug. "Hm I wonder how the house is coming along." Seth said as he teleported to his house. He walked around and saw that it looked like nothing happened. "Wow Sean knows how to pick out contractors." Seth said as he walked into the kitchen. Seth saw a piece of paper on the counter. "Holy shit that is a lot of money." Seth said a little shocked. He put the paper down and teleported back to Serus.

"My people move quickly..and quietly.." Serus commented as Seth came back. "How are the repairs on your house?" She stood off the bed and began to do some stretches.

"The house is all done, and the bill is outrageous." Seth said looking at Sean. "I don't know where he is gonna get the money to pay for it." Seth said grabbing his wallet. "But I'm running low on money myself, I'm gonna have to sell a few of my properties." Seth said as he sat on the bed. Seth let out a large sigh.
Sean was listening and sat up when Seth sighed. "Don't worry about the bill for your house I owe you." Sean said rubbing his eyes. "I also have a big bank cause mom and dad left me a lot of money." Sean said cracking his neck. "Wait how much money did they leave you?" Seth asked a little jealous. "Um ya you don't wanna know." Sean said trying to think of something to change the subject. "Anyway you two look really good." Sean said with a nervous smile. |
