Nic sat back, having to think about that for awhile.

Then suddenly Yue piped in, "He's... not a bad person," she announced quietly.

Wolfe nodded a little, "That I am aware of," he replied to Yue, "He's aided us in two different situations while managing not to disobey Sheng by doing it."

Nic was still thinking it over while Yue continued after a moment, "If... If it was someone in the Yin Long who did this..." she swallowed, "I want to find a way so he could stay here with us for awhile."

Wolfe thought about that for a moment, "I have no grudge against Long," he stated, "Nor do I find grievance against the Yin Long. That is only by association. But having Long here will greatly increase Sheng's interest in us and puts Dominic in the most risk."

Nic was still mulling everything over. "... Only because Long might try to kill me a few times," he replied casually. Yue didn't seem surprised by his statement. "Sheng must be really busy with something," he decided. "Otherwise Long wouldn't have left the hive like that regardless of the intent behind the attack. He probably won't have the time or resources to search for Long. At least, not yet."

Wolfe raised an eyebrow, waiting for Nic to expand on the 'yet.'

Nic shrugged. "Sheng will eventually come for Long, Yue, and I," he replied simply. Yue remained silent. Neither of them seemed to have a good grasp of what that timeline might look like. "But Long might have a better idea of when that might be," Nic noted. "He's Sheng's right hand man."

Wolfe nodded a little, "Sheng's right hand man who saved Yue and helped us find Laurel." It was a little complicated.

Nic and Yue nodded a little. It was certainly an interesting situation.

Wolfe finally shrugged a little, "He has to heal for awhile longer before I'll take him off the drugs. We have some more time to decide."

Yue nodded a little, seeming thankful for that.

Wolfe nodded as he stood, apparently done talking.

So they all slowly left. Nic went back to the gym. Yue remained by herself in her room for awhile.

James wouldn't let her be by herself for too long. He came knocking after what he thought was a long enough time. Probably about ten minutes.

Meanwhile Wolfe called the neonates together and told them what happened. They were all interesting in Long but Wolfe wanted to keep most of them away for now.

Then he went to check on how Raven and Eve were doing.

Eve's body temperature was increasing rapidly now and she was starting to show some hallucinations.

"... I need a few more minutes," Yue called back to James.

As Wolfe found them, Raven was trying to make Eve comfortable to watch a movie.

So James sat down outside her door like a lost puppy.

Eve was fading fast as Raven tucked her in for a movie. Wolfe smiled slightly as he saw them and took a seat on the other side of Eve. "It won't be long now," he told Raven.

Thirty minutes later, Yue finally opened the door.

Raven blinked at Wolfe. "... Until?" he asked quietly.

James fell back into the room slightly, he might have dozed off. But he was awake now as he jumped up and looked worriedly at Yue.

"Eve disappears," Wolfe whispered

Yue jumped back a little, surprised. She seemed tired and still slightly pale, but she wasn't too off.

Raven blinked before looking back at Eve and stroking her hair a little.

James stroked her cheek a little as he frowned, taking her in.

Eve was slipping into unconsciousness, twitching a little as her temperature continued to rise.

Yue tried to act like nothing was worrying her. She was decent at it.

Raven kept comforting her, not trying to worry too much since Wolfe seemed calm.

James wasn't buying it as he pulled her into a hug.

Eventually Eve fell still, she was barely breathing now but Wolfe was pulling a cigarette.

Yue sighed a little, hugging him back after awhile.

Raven kept stroking her head, waiting for everything to be okay.

James kissed her temple softly, not asking what happened for once but just holding her.

"She'll be out for awhile," Wolfe told Raven as he turned the movie on.

So Raven nodded a bit, letting Frei rest while they watched the movie.

About halfway through Wolfe got up to leave.

As Wolfe walked past, Raven reached out and grabbed Wolfe's arm.

Wolfe blinked, looking down at Raven.

Raven pulled Wolfe down towards him and kissed him sweetly for a little while before letting him go.

Wolfe was surprised but kissed Raven back. After a long moment be pulled away and nodded to Raven before continuing on his way.

Raven smiled a little and nodded back.

So Wolfe went to check on Long.

When Nic got back to him room after the gym, Laurel was waiting. It looked and smelled like she'd been cooking. Definitely Thai. She smiled at him.

Nic nodded at Laurel as he grabbed some clothes and headed to take a quick shower.

When he was done Laurel had everything set up, dishes arranged, "Thought we'd have a nice lunch," she explained with a chuckle.

Nic nodded a little as he quickly finished drying off his hair and joining Laurel.

Laurel seemed pretty pleased with herself as she watched him come over.

Nic seemed about his normal self, just a little tired as he started helping himself.

Laurel watched Nic for a moment, "Maybe... we should get more sleep at night," she suggested as she broke eye contact, a little embarrassed as she focused on the food.

"If you want," Nic replied between bites.

"Well... I'm not tired," Laurel replied quietly.
