Raven was doing his best to not look at Long and be comforting to Fr- Eve. Raven talked to her gently for as long as it took.

Eve clung to Raven, some tears still falling. She really didn't seem like Frei at all.

Meanwhile, Long should be waking soon and Wolfe pulled up a chair, watching him closely.

So Raven didn't treat her like Frei. He treated her like scared little Eve. So he tried to keep her calm and cheer her up a bit, asking her simple questions about herself.

When Long woke, only his breathing changed. He kept his eyes closed and didn't try to move.

Eve said she was eight and that Long was her Uncle. She said they'd been a car crash. She liked yellow, bumble bees and bubblegum ice cream.

Wolfe continued to watch Long for awhile, "I'm unimpressed," he finally stated simply.

So Raven talked about simple things like those with Eve.

Long said nothing. Wolfe got the impression he wasn't going to answer any question he might have.

Wolfe seemed to know that, "I'm not going to interrogate you," he replied, "Looks like you've had enough of that for one day." He leaned back in his chair with a little sigh.

Still nothing from Long, not letting Wolfe's expression of good will get to his head.

Wolfe didn't seem intent on saying much more, instead he got up and checked on one of Long's nastier gashes.

The gashes appeared to come from a small variety of possible tools. It was difficult to tell exactly which though. Long swallowed slightly. He didn't let it show on his face, but Wolfe could sense he was in a great deal of pain.

Wolfe glanced at Long's face for a moment before redressing the wound and going over to Long's IVs. "Why are you limping?" he asked as he administered a higher dose of painkiller.

Long's expression didn't change, and he didn't answer Wolfe's question.

Wolfe let Long be. "I'm going to knock you out for awhile," Wolfe stated as he switched up Long's IVs.

Still nothing as Long's breathing started to slow and he fell unconscious once more.

Once Wolfe was sure Long was knocked out, he disconnected him from the IVs and picked him up. Then he walked out to Raven, "We're leaving," he stated. Eve immediately began freaking out as she saw Long. "Go grab the IVs," he ordered Raven.

Instead of trying to fight Eve, he went with her to grab whatever she thought was necessary before quickly bringing her along to follow 'Uncle.'

Wolfe walked out the back and into the back streets. Their jet wasn't far. Once inside, Wolfe re-hooked Long up before turning to Eve. "You need to fly the Jet." Eve shook her head but Wolfe nodded, "You can if you focus."

After a moment Eve went over to the control and started looking them over as Wolfe focused back on Long.

Raven was noticeably still trying his best not to look at Long as he stayed by Eve, encouraging her a little.

Eve eventually took off. She wasn't as steady as Frei usually was but she made it back. Snow met them when they landed and showed Wolfe to a surgical room already set up. Both Wolfe and Snow then began operating on him. They stitched up any large gashes before tightly binding the smaller ones. They checked for internal bleeding before putting him on heavy medication. Wolfe mentioned his leg to Snow so they both checked it out once more. Taking X-Rays if needed.

Meanwhile Frei was making a big, rather loud fuss about the whole thing. Luckily Wolfe had ordered that she and Raven remain on the Jet for now.

As Snow and Wolfe prepped Long for surgery, it soon became clear why Long had been limping. In addition to his other injuries, it appeared he had been the victim of potentially multiple sexual assaults. Upon further investigation, it was determined he was likely assaulted by another man. But there was a surprising lack of evidence to be any more specific than that.

Meanwhile Raven took care of Eve/Frei in the Juttle the best he could.

Snow and Wolfe shared a look before upping his pain meds. Once they were done, Snow left for a few minutes before returning with some of James' clothing which they dressed him in. Snow then took away Long's old stuff to be washed.

Wolfe then double checked Long's meds before going to find Nic and Yue. He had all of Long's stuff in a box which he took with him.

Yue was hanging out with James like usual. Nic was at the gym.

So Wolfe grabbed both Nic and Yue's attention by showing them the Yin Long coin, kicking James out as he led them into a spare conference room.

Yue was pretty upset, but told James to put on some more deodorant while she talked with Wolfe.

Nic came mostly willingly, sitting down quietly.

Wolfe took a seat looking a bit older than he usually did. He looked at them for a moment before letting out a slow, long sigh and leaning back in his chair. "I've..." Captured didn't seem like the right word for what had happened, "secured Long."

Both of them seemed very surprised. It even showed on Nic's face a little. "... Wait, seriously?" Yue clarified.

Wolfe nodded.

Yue blinked, still not quite believing it.

Wolfe paused before continuing, "He was too easy to capture," he stated after a moment, "Once we got a closer look at him, it was clear that he'd been both physically and sexually tortured recently which explained why he fell into our grasp."

Nic and Yue both stared blankly at Wolfe, having trouble believing him. "... That wouldn't happen to Long," Yue replied quietly after a long moment.

Wolfe stared at them a bit sharply, I'd been a long day, "Why would I lie?" he asked, sounded slightly irritated at the accusation.

Neither of them said anything.

"Snow and I operated on Long before I came to see you, he's recuperating for now," Wolfe went on, "I'd planned to ask him a few questions regarding your brother," he glanced at Yue, "But because of his collaboration with us in the past, I will not condone interrogating him further."

Yue shook her head a little, still wrapping her head around it. "... What the terra has happened since I left?" she wondered quietly.

Wolfe shrugged before pulling out a tablet and handing it over to them. On it was a picture of Long after Snow and Wolfe had prepped him for surgery. "The deeper incisions were made with a few small specific tools. Do either of you know who could have done this?" Wolfe asked simply. Anyone who could take down Long, could be a threat to them in the future.

Yue reached out to take the tablet, but after looking at it for a short moment it seemed to be a little too intense for her. She shoved the tablet at Nic, her own face a little green.

Nic had a bit more of a critical eye, but he seemed to have a little trouble too. He zoomed in on some of the worse gashes. After studying it awhile and then checking with Yue who was still trying to keep her lunch down, they agreed that it looked like a cut from a special, nasty knife common to the Chiou family. "Long should have been carrying one," Yue noted. But he didn't have one on him when Wolfe found him.

Wolfe pushed the box he had carried in towards them, "It wasn't on him when we picked him up," he explained, "This was all he had."

Yue and Nic sifted through it. Yue seemed surprised not to find the knife, but she explained this was pretty standard stuff for Long to carry when he was traveling light.

Nic didn't have too much luck identifying anything else, and Yue couldn't look at the picture any more.

Wolfe took the tablet back and shut it off. He thought about what they said for a moment before nodding, "So, anyone could have captured Long and used his own knife to inflict the injuries. There's no proof it's an inside job." He sighed a little, "Anything strike you as familiar about the placement of the wounds or the sexual injuries?"

Yue swallowed, trying to keep her lunch down as she shook her head.

Nic also shook his head. "But it was probably done by the same person each time," he noted. "And I'm assuming you didn't find any DNA. Few have the capability of doing that, but the Yin Long is one of them."

Wolfe nodded slightly, eyes flickering to Yue and then back to Nic, "And what would you advise I do with Long now that he's here?"
