"Which sister?" Alicia asked as Solomon put the picture back into his wallet. "Well he was, now he is awake. But he still is basically naked." She said shivering at the thought. "I thought you didn't have any pictures of your family?" She asked trying not to get off topic. "Wow I forgot you are old, the first picture wasn't taken until 1817. And your older sister passed away before that, so that means that this is Hayden." Alicia said trying not to rub his sisters death in his face.

Solomon did not like her stating these facts, "Yeah..that's Hayden. She always gave me the oddest things for o-my birthday, and in 1818; my 380th, she gave me that picture of herself." He sighed slightly, his hand drifting towards his pocket before he crossed them over his chest, with a frown. His eyes flashed red for a brief moment before sliding to a dark gray.

Holden was listening outside the door.
Alicia sighed, "You can come in Holden." She said knowing he was there. "And you say that I need to stop eavesdropping." She said with a smile. He walked in, "Ya, I just didn't wanna interrupt you two." He said looking down. "Alicia I'm sorry I almost ripped your throat out, and that you saw... He trailed off. "Your 'business'? Its fine, and at least your wearing pants now." She said with a smile. "Ya, I'm gonna go back to my room." Holden said distracted. He turned around and went back to his room. Alicia looked at Solomon and ran after Holden. "Holden what's wrong?" She asked turning him around. "Nothing." He said trying to turn around. "That's bull, don't make me look into your mind." She said holding firm. "I almost ripped your throat out." He said in a low tone. "Holden it's fine, you wouldn't of killed me. I would of been pissed but not dead. Also it's not your fault, you don't know how to keep your mind when you transform." Alicia said trying to make him feel better. "I'm gonna go and draw." Holden said as he broke her hold and went to his room. |
Solomon frowned, looking over to Holden, but not saying a word. He whirled around as the window opened, barely making a sound as it did so. He narrowed his eyes, half expecting Jaclynn, but sensed no one. "Damn wind." He quickly moved to close it, using a touch of power to wake up Amanda while he was at it.

Alicia sighed as Holden walked away, "He only draws when he is upset." She said as she felt Amanda waking up. She went back into the room, and sat gently on the bed. "Hey Amanda." She said with a smile when Amanda's eyes opened.
"What happened?" She asked rubbing her eyes. "Well after your horse ride, you fell asleep." She said. "Oh where's Holden?" Amanda asked sitting up. "He's in his room, he isn't feeling good." She said with a smile. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked worried. No, you were fine. How about you stay up here and play with your toys. Me and Solomon need to talk, ok?" Alicia asked sweetly. "Ok." Amanda said still confused. "Come Solomon." She said as she stood up and went out the door. Holden sat down at the desk in his room and grabbed a piece of paper and started to draw. |
"Don't worry Amanda, Holden's fine, he's just a bit tired.." He followed Alicia out, quickly taking the lead and leading her to his study. "What Alicia?" He really was not in the mood to talk right now..he wanted to make Holden feel better.

"Don't get snippy with me, I wanted to talk about Holden. His mind is weak right now, I'm sure you can tell that." Alicia said with a sigh. "Solomon I know you are gonna go in there, just please be careful with him." She said as she went to sit on the couch.
Holden had crumpled pieces of paper all around him. He crumpled up the drawing he just finished and threw it at his bed. |
"I never said I was going to..but I want to..I don't know what I could say or do to make him feel better though." He ran his hand through his hair, "It's hard to comfort someone when you're just as upset." He leaned up against the door, crossing his arms, "I'm beginning to think that..."
He shook his head slightly, "Alicia.." He looked at her with a serious expression, "Whatever you do, make sure Holden doesn't worry. Alright?" He gave her a hug, and not his usual 'Ill be back' hug. He held her for a moment before disappearing. |
"Just be there for him." Alicia said. "Wait what are you gonna do?" She asked as he disappeared. "He's not going to do what I think he is, is he?" She asked herself closing her eyes.

Solomon reappeared just a few miles off his property by the small pond. He often took Zera on a small trail ride over here; it was very peaceful. At the moment however, he was not too pleased with the woman standing by it's edge. "Why can't you just leave him alone? He's no longer a threat to the Community. What are you trying to accomplish?" He crossed his arms, watching her carefully.
The brunette turned around with a dark smile, "Solo, babe, you should know by now that you can't make me tell you anything. Either way," she appeared in front of him, her arm reaching around and pulling his knife from his back, "I simply don't like the little bastard. He's an idiot; selfish; obnoxious; and just plain old annoying." She stepped back, twirling the knife around, "Is that reason enough, my dear?" Solomon remained still as she took his knife, "Oh come on Jac, I know for a fact you have a deeper reason for this. Look if you want him dead, just kill him already. Like you said, you'll just be sparing me the trouble of doing it. After all, I'll probably get bored with him after a few more years. Kid's messed up." He was thankful he was out of Holden's earshot, and Alicia's for that matter. Even if it wasn't true, he made it sound every bit so. "I mean, really, have you been inside his mind?" Jaclynn narrowed her eyes suspiciously, "Why can you never just let me lie to you? Huh? Or for that matter; tell me the truth. I know you love him and you won't let me near him. That's right, I've sensed your shield around him. Oh, but Solomon, you're forgetting something.." She stepped close, trailing her index finger along his chin, "It's not him I'm out to kill." Solomon swatted her hand away, swiping the knife from her other while he was at it, "Well then what the fuck do you want with me? You've been bothering me for the past 20 years, now just tell me what the hell you're up to. I'm sick of your damn games." Jaclynn was mildly surprised by his words; he never swore more than once per 5 sentences. "Why else do you think? Or, have you forgotten about our past?" She watched as Solomon pondered over the events, "I will not tolerate you and your damn sisters walking around after that. Oh, wait, I've already killed them." She giggled with a dark undertone to it, "So, I guess you're next. As for Holden, it was fun tormenting you by using him, but alas, all fun things must end." |
Holden was starting to get frustrated, and he was running out of paper.
"Holden settle down please." Alicia said to herself trying to peer into his mind to fix things. "Get out of my mind." He said as he pushed Alicia's link out of his head. "Ow." She said grabbing her head. "This isn't like him I hope Solomon get's done with whatever he is doing and fast." She said wanting to go and talk to Holden but figured not to. "This isn't right any of it." He said sweeping everything off of his desk. "He is about to break." She said shaking her head as she teleported behind Holden. She mouthed "Sorry." as she knocked him out. "This is bad very bad." Alicia said as she moved him to the bed. |
Solomon sighed, throwing his knife into the grass, the blade going so deep it was forced to stop as the hilt hit the ground. "Well fine then, seeing as you're still upset about what Hayden had done..." He could sense something was wrong with Holden, but he was busy right now. "Alicia..knocking him out won't help."
Jaclynn snarled, lunging forward at Solomon and tackling him to the ground. She dug her fingers deep into his skin until she could feel the bones beneath her fingers, "You won't make it out of this one Solomon. You know I am far stronger than you, even if you were to actually eat properly. After all, Lorelienda didn't die of Pneumonia and you know it." She began to alter his chemical make up. Solomon snarled, his eyes turning red as he kicked her off before she could change much. "You're damned hands can't make me explode, implode, or burn or whatever else the hell you're trying to do. I'm just as proficient as you Jaclynn." He jumped forward, his hands igniting in white hot fire and grabbed onto her face. The fire quickly spread over Jaclynn's skin, until, of course, she changed it. She changed the reaction of the fire on her skin until it dissipated. "Really Solomon, you know you can't burn me up either. You're going to have to try harder~" |
"I know but it's the only thing I could think of right now." Alicia said rubbing her temples. "Maybe some rest will do him some good." She said to herself. "Anne can you go and get some bottles of blood, because we are gonna need them." She said looking to Holden. She put her hand on his head and searched his mind.

Before Solomon could react, Jaclynn drew her knife, lunging at him bringing her arm down on his skull, driving the knife through his thick skull. She chuckled a bit, "Ha! I made a funny!" She broke the handle off the blade and kicked Solomon down, "Get it? Thick skull...ha!"
Solomon tumbled back, a slight headache coming on now. "Oh come on, I ran out of Advil like..two days ago." He fell onto his butt as his balance began to leave him. He knew the knife wouldn't kill him, but it certainly wasn't going to help him, especially since he could feel it heating up. "Whore..." "Solomon!" Suddenly Jaclynn yelled out as a katana went straight through her heart and pinned her to the ground for a moment. She narrowed her eyes, quickly working to pull it out and get back to her feet; shakily. Her red eyes looked around for the source of the sword, but found none. "Who the h--" Another katana came across her neck, severing her head from her body. The katana was then brought downward, slicing her in half. The owner quickly made their way to Solomon, their pale hand hovering over it until telekinesis pulled it out and sent it into the pond just as it exploded. Seeing Solomon had gone unconscious. The owner of the twin katanas quickly gathered her blades, sheathing them and hurrying back to Solomon, "H-hold on. I can fix this..like always." She placed her slim fingers over Solomon's wound and his heart as they started to glow a light blue. Unlike most, she had a unique form of healing; unexplainable for the most part. It just..came to her and she had managed to do things that event he oldest vampires couldn't restore. Afterwards, Solomon still had not woken up, "Ah! No..umm..Alicia!" She quickly scooted away from Solomon as she forced Alicia to be transported to their current location. She hid her presence from the young vampire and hid behind some trees, watching with ice blue eyes. |
"Alicia look what I did." Amanda said running into Holden's room.
"Oh that's cu... Dam..." Alicia started to say as she was teleported to Solomon. "Damn it! Amanda was talking to me Solomon." She said turning around to look at Solomon. "Great now I will have three unconscious people." She said as she picked up Solomon and teleported to Holden's room. She laid Solomon on the bed and looked at Amanda. Amanda was standing there wide eyed. "Amanda breath, everything's fine." She said as she slowly walked over to her. Alicia knocked Amanda out before she could run. She quickly ran to catch her before she fell and hurt herself. She laid her on the little couch in front of Holden's bed. "Why am I the one to take care of you three?" Alicia asked as she threw her hands up. |
The girl watched silently as Alicia took Solomon, "Hey..." She frowned after the two had vanished. "But..I didn't want you to take him." She sighed, looking towards where the Manor stood, "Solomon?" With another quiet sigh she dragged her feet along as she moved towards the Manor. Now, she could teleport, but she wanted to give Solomon time to wake up.
Solomon was awake the moment they were back at his house. He bolted upright, quickly covering his mouth before he could yell out. His black eyes looked over to Amanda, then Alicia, "How did you get to me? I..blocked you two." He gasped, his hands scrambling towards his scalp, feeling the area where the knife was lodged, "I know I wasn't unconscious long..but..how..the knife?" His eyes frittered around the room, scanning it. "I swear I ss..." he trailed off, knowing it was crazy of him to think that. |
"You teleported me." Alicia said with her hands on her hips. "There was nothing in your head when I got there. The only thing I saw before I teleported you back here was Jaclynn's dead body." She said with a sigh. "Also I was talking to Amanda when you teleported me, now I'm gonna have to erase her memory." She sighed again trying to calm down. She grabbed a bottle of blood from the bag that was next to the bed, "Here drink I know you hate bottled but deal with it." Alicia said handing the bottle to Solomon.

Solomon looked thoroughly confused. He had not teleported Alicia. He looked at her with a frown, "I didn't do that, Alicia. I knew you were with Amanda..And...there was a knife..right here," he poked the spot on his head, wincing from the slight amount of pain, "Jaclynn broke the handle off so I couldn't pull it out, and the location of the knife disabled my psychic powers." He paused, "I could not have teleported you.' He began to dread what these tiny facts were saying.

"Well then Solomon, how in the hell do you think I got there?" Alicia said getting even more perturbed. "You two are really gonna be the end of me." She said rubbing her temples. She sighed, "Look I'm sorry, I'm starting to get stressed now." Alicia said as she plopped down the the chair by the window.

Solomon shook his head, "Don't be..you have every right..after all, I do this to myself." He tensed, sensing something outside, "Alicia..did you see anyone else when you came to me?"
Before Alicia could answer, the tiny girl had suddenly appeared on the bed, sitting at the edge. Her katanas that were once in her hands fell to the floor as she sat pretzel style. Her ice blue eyes staring Solomon down. Her head was slightly tilted to the side so her bangs covered the tops of her eyes. Solomon looked like he was going to just up and die. His eyes quickly changed to their normal icy color as he started at the little girl. There was a long moment of silence; the only thing Solomon could do was stammer out 'hows' and 'whats'. |
Alicia jumped when the girl appeared on the bed, "That Kimono..." "Hayden!" She said in a quiet gasp. She was so shocked that she lost her control over Holden's consciousness. "Shit." She said seeing Holden stir.
Holden sat up staring directly at Alicia, his eyes were dark red, "Alicia Renee Winters! How dare you knock me out and then root around in my brain?" He said extremely pissed. "I.. I was only trying to help you. Your brain was about to go kaboom." She said tensing up. "You could of told me, you were gonna help." He said grabbing the arms of the chair. "When you shape shifted you mind went haywire, and you were finally coming to grips with your parents deaths." She said more scared then ever. "So now its my fault that my parents are dead?" He said as his eyes turned brighter red. "My mother? My father? My daughter? And almost my sister? Those were my fault?" He asked yelling now. "No! Its Solomon's fault, he is the one who killed your mother. Jaclynn killed your father, Abby, and almost your sister." Alicia said crying while she put her hand over her mouth looking over to Solomon. "Oh, oh my god, Solomon I'm so sorry." Alicia said as she disappeared. "Holden? What did she mean by that?" Amanda asked waking up. Holden gasped, instantly turning his eye's brown, "Ah nothing kiddo, ok?" Holden said looking to Amanda. He knocked her out again, "God damn it Alicia." Holden said now finally looking to the bed to see the little girl there. |
Solomon finally moved as Holden started to wake up. "Kyah~ You have to gooo.." He quickly stood, grabbing Hayden, but it was too late. Holden was already awake and yelling. He covered Hayden's ears, "Holden ple--" "It's alright Alicia..it's the truth after all.." He honestly wasn't upset that Alicia was throwing the blame at him; in fact, he wanted that. Holden kept trying to tell him otherwise, and now it was time for him to finally get it through.
The girl whined swatting Solomon's hands away, "I'm not four Solo! You don't have to treat me as such!" She crossed her arms, her face contorted in a pout. She squealed as Solomon picked her up and set her on the floor, "Solomon James-" Solomon placed his hand over her mouth, "Shut up. If you haven't noticed, I have other things to worry about." Not that he really cared right this moment. After all, there she was, right in front of him. He wanted to hug her tightly, but he had to take care of Holden first. He finally looked to Holden, about to say something when he winced, looking down to Hayden. She brought her bare foot down hard on Solomon's, breaking the bones as she shoved his hands away from her mouth. "Solom-" She was instantly quiet as he gave her..the look. |
Holden felt his anger rise even more, he was getting even more miffed that Amanda heard Alicia. The air around him got very dense, his eyes were crimson red. "How dare she?" He asked looking to Amanda. He was getting so irate, his power was growing along with it. Holden screamed out sending out a ferocious telekinetic blast, smashing every single glass object on the second floor. He fell to his knees, and looked at his hands. There was nothing there but Holden could see the 'blood' on his hands.

Hayden squealed again as she felt the power Holden released. She quickly dove behind the bed by her swords for cover. "Solo.." She looked up at him with her ice blue eyes, pleading.
Solomon narrowed his eyes at Hayden, "Don't move." He went over to Holden, kneeling down by him, "Holden, please calm down. Amanda will be fine. You have to settle down before you hurt yourself.." He looked around, assessing the damage. Suddenly he was furious. Some of those objects where not replaceable. He rounded on Holden, dragging him up by his shoulders. His eyes were a dark red, "Holden Micheal!" his grip in his shoulders, "If you do not get yourself under control I will make you. Do you understand me?" His voice was much darker than usual; or anything Holden has seen Solomon mad. He was even more irked than when his Jaguar was destroyed. "Aie!" She skittered under the bed, peering out and watching them, "S-Solo..." Before Holden could react to Solomon, he set him down, going over to where Hayden was hiding with a frown, "Hun, you're not six years old...you're 573...now act your age.." Even so, he could sense genuine fear from Hayden; and that disturbed him. He crouched down, brushing some hair gently from her face, "I'm sorry." |
Holden was still looking at his hands when he found himself moved. He quickly assessed where he was, "I'm sorry Solomon." he said as he teleported away. He landed in front of a gravestone, "Is it my fault that you are dead?" He asked looking at the ground. The wind blew and it was ice cold, "Why couldn't I save you? It was my job, I'm your father! I should of protected you... My job!" He said as he started sobbing. "My... Job..." Holden said in between sobs.
He composed himself after a few minutes and teleported back to Solomon, "I'm sorry, I will fix everything." He said in a low tone, looking down, as he grabbed a shirt and a sweater out of the dresser and put it on. His eyes were a light gray. The air was really cold around him and he didn't know why. He picked up Amanda and took her to her room, he gently laid her down. He started picking up the big pieces of glass. He closed his eyes, as a few more tears fell down his cheeks. "I'm sorry Alicia." Holden said as he stood up,"Why now?" Holden asked as he fell to his butt and grabbed his knees. |
Solomon sighed, going over to Holden and bending over, grabbing him by the waist and hoisting him up. He held him tightly for a moment, "Holden, it's alright." He sighed a bit, the sculptures may not be replaceable, but neither is Holden. He'd rather loose glass than the man he loved. "Don't worry about the glass, it's already being cleaned up around the house. I should not have reacted that way. I' sorry."

"No its my fault I shouldn't of let my anger get the best of me." Holden said as his eyes turned to a darker gray. "I will pay to replace the windows, and anything else that is replaceable." He said. "By the way who was that girl?" He asked looking out Amanda's doorway.

Solomon shook his head, "No no, don't worry about it, alright? You've got a lot going on right now. You should rest now, alright? Maybe that'll help you feel better." He glanced back to where Hayden was hiding under the bed, his eyes narrowing "Don't move. I'll be back." He began to lead Holden to his room.
Hayden blinked and quickly scurried father under the bed, keeping her presence hidden from Holden. "I wouldn't dare." |
"I'm fine Solomon, I need to fill out that paperwork." Holden said trying to get free from Solomon's grip, but he was to weak. "And until you can fix her memory I need to keep Amanda out." He said trying to prove to Solomon he was fine.

Solomon shook his head, "You need sleep first, Marsha will understand the delay. I'll call her and tell her you're having trouble getting Amanda's medical records faxed over. Alright? Please, just sleep, even if only for an hour." He shut the door behind them as they entered Holden's room, gently laying Holden down on the bed, "I will fix Amanda's memories while you rest."
Hayden skittered out from under the bed, sitting on it's edge peering down at Amanda with her ice blue eyes, "Hiya." She tapped Amanda on the forehead, breaking Holden's hold on her, "Wakey wakey~" |
"Amanda!" Holden said as he sprung up. "She's waking up." He said trying to get up but Solomon was keeping him on the bed. "Something's wrong." He said trying to hear for Amanda.
Amanda sat up ribbing her eyes. She jumped when she saw the little girl sitting on the bed. "Who are you?" She asked confused. "Where's my brother Holden?" She asked looking around scared. "He's always here when I wake up." Amanda said getting ready to cry. |
Hayden smiled, "Hiya! Umm..he's sleeping..I think..Ah! No no no no! Don't cry!" She grabbed onto Amanda and hugged her, "He's just sleeping, he'll come over when he wakes up. It'll be okay." She suddenly let Amanda go as she felt Solomon coming over, "Aiiee, I'm sorry, but good night." With that she knocked Amanda out.
Solomon growled, "Dammit. Holden you stay here, I'll handle Amanda." He kept Holden on the bed with his telekinesis as he stormed down the hall. He came into Amanda's room just as she was put to sleep again, "What did I tell you?" He grabbed Hayden by the arm and dragged her out of Amanda's room, "You're so lucky that things are the way they are or I'd beat you senseless." He threw her into his study, slamming the door behind him. "Just what were you thinking? Amanda is human she doesn't know any of this." Hayden squealed when Solomon grabbed her, "I'm sorry!" She stumbled as Solomon threw her into the study, "I-I know that! I just.." She looked down, twiddling her fingers. |
Alicia appeared next to Holden.
"A little help here." Holden said trying to wiggle free. "You an ass, you know that?" She said as she punched Holden in the face knocking him out. She grabbed her hand, "Damn it he has a strong face. Ow." She said while healing the broken bones in her hand. She shuttered, "He deserved that." She said as she walked out of Solomon's bedroom. "Don't worry he's fine." Alicia said waving her hand. |
Solomon pinched the bridge of his nose, seething, "Just..listen to me for once, alright? I-" He turned as Alicia entered, "That was uncalled for Alicia." He turned to face Hayden, "For a human, our lifestyle very shocking, Alicia. He's got a lot to process. You and I were born into this way or life." He sighed, sitting in his chair, "Try to think of it from his point of view? He was suddenly thrust into this world, and because of us, his parents are dead and his sister is going to turn out to be an emotional and mental wreck. Meddling in her mind so much like this is bound to have an effect on her."
Hayden made herself as small as possible as Solomon stared her down. When he moved to sit, she hurried over climbing in his lap and putting her arms around his neck as she brought her feet up to his legs. She watched Alicia curiously, "Who are you?" |
"He deserved it, anyway you can make his ass black and blue but I can't hit him for being an ass?" Alicia said crossing her arms. She sighed, "I know Solomon, I just wish he would of been able to come to grips with being a vampire before he basically got thrown into being a father. Again." She said sitting in one of the chairs. "Again I know Solomon, I know you love him but I think he should move into a house of his own. In the long run I think it will be better for Amanda. I know a witch who could put a spell on his house to keep her safe." She said leaning back in the chair and putting her hand over her eyes. "I'm Alicia, I'm Holden's best friend, as well I Solomon's. Well at least I hope I'm Solomon's friend." Alicia said not moving an inch.

"Whatever he wants to do...I guess.." He was tempted to throw Hayden off, but he rather enjoyed having her there. He moved his arms to better support her, "Of course you're my friend Alicia." He smiled slightly, looking to Hayden, "You have some explaining to do little Missy.." His tone was suddenly stern as he spoke to her, "You promised me you wouldn't leave this time."
Hayden smiled, "And Holden is?" She winced, glancing up to Solomon as he addressed her, "B-but..I wanted to see you again. I haven't seen you since your 550th birthday," she whined a bit, holding him tighter, "Come ooonnn Soly, I don't wanna go back!" She put a pout on her face, almost clinging to him. |
Alicia sighed, "I'm afraid of what he is gonna do. He adopted Abby when he was 17, and he did everything in his power to keep her happy. Now he is doing that for Amanda, I'm afraid that when Amanda dies, the Holden that we know and love will to." She said taking her hand off of her eyes. "He may be strong but not that strong, when he gets some rest we need to work on strengthening his brain." Alicia said slowly looking at Solomon.

"I am not going to mess with his mind, and neither will you. He will process things in his own way, and he will just have to learn how to deal with death. It'll be hard, but he'll find a way to get through it all." He leaned back in the chair closing his eyes, "Hayden, if you're going to continue to act this way I will chain you in that room and disable your powers. I'm not kidding."
Hayden squeak a bit, "Noooo you can't do thaaattt" She pound her tiny fist on his chest, glaring, "I'll be goood. I promise~" She smiled a bit then looked to Alicia, "You never answered me! Who is Holden?" She began to pout again, crossing her arms. |
"I'm Holden." He said as he appeared in the study. He turned his attention to Alicia, "We need to talk later." He said with a slight glare. "Solomon I wanna talk to you, alone." Holden said looking to Alicia and then to Hayden.
Alicia was shocked she thought Holden was unconscious. She nodded when he said he wanted to talk to her. Alicia quickly teleported to Amanda to see that she was doing ok. |
Solomon sighed, "Holden.." He stood, setting Hayden on the floor, "Why don't you go and see if Alicia needs any help. I'm sure she'd appreciate it."
Hayden frowned, "Fine." She walked out, pausing by Holden, tempted to kick his shins. She jumped with a squeal and skittered out feeling Solomon get ready to smack her, "Okay okay I'm going!" She walked to Amanda's door, peering inside, "Solomon asked me to see if you needed any help." Solomon looked to Holden, blocking the room from the girls, "I thought I told you to not take that tone with me. As much as I love you, I don't appreciate it when people talk to me like that. What do you want?" |
