I think I maybe can multitask ^-^ take a couple minutes here and a couple there at least to keep this thread moving a little

how's your day been?

Kaderin Triste 05-27-2012 01:39 AM

Good plan!

It actually was rather....not such a good day. Woke up later than I planned, was a few minutes late to work, despite making record time biking uphill there...got bitched at by customers several times for things that if they were to open their eyes and shut their mouths the first time, wouldn't have been a problem at all, my soup boiled over in the microwave on my lunch break, and it's been cold and drizzling all day.

Kotomi 05-27-2012 01:52 AM

that sounds very stressful

Nice you can bike uphill
^^;; I haven't biked in a long time and I doubt I'd have the right strength in my leg muscles to get uphill

I'd of traded my nice hot day for your drizzling day if I could of
really wished it would of rained here, hopes it does tomorrow though doesn't look like there is a chance for showers here till Monday

Kaderin Triste 05-27-2012 01:59 AM

Well...technically I can bike up most hills. There are still 2 that are too steep for me to make it up. Maybe by the end of the summer though my leg muscles will be better for tackling at least one of those hills...

And it is...being a cashier is actually a very stressful job, but people don't realize it is until they hear what I have to deal with on a daily basis.
XP

Kotomi 05-27-2012 02:17 AM

How would you rate the steepness of the one you raced up to get to work

I know someone who works doing that part of the time, it sounds so crazy at times, I sometimes felt glad that I work with kids in an after school program with some of the stories she had to tell
even if it gets crazy with there being up to 30 some kids

only really bad thing about my job was those rainy days where we had to keep the kids inside in the gym to play
so loud and the percentage of being hit with a kickball or a basket ball in the head went up like 90% compared to outside which was almost never

Kaderin Triste 05-27-2012 02:20 AM

Man....I applaud you for working with kids.
I don't have the patience for that...

And I'm not really sure how to rate the steepness of it...but if I get pedaling full speed (with help from the slight downhill slope before it), I can usually make it close to halfway up before it gets too steep and I have to walk the rest of the way.

Kotomi 05-27-2012 02:43 AM

Thank you, though I'd have to applaud what you do as well, I find it sometimes easier to work with children than I do with adults, sometimes

It more likely helped that since I was in grade school I had a teacher approach me to say I should become a teacher since I got kids to listen on putting stuff back where it belonged... so since people kept pushing that I thought it would be okay

hmm I more likely need to sometime get myself a new bike, I think the last one I had my mother gave it to my sister who now has a mountain bike...

yay just cleaned half of my room, I think I'll stay with that for now

Angel Spirit Girl 05-27-2012 07:57 PM

Yup. Being a store clerk can be stressful.

Kotomi 05-27-2012 11:35 PM

Have you been one too, Angel?

I've never worked as a clerk, just with kids. I've thought about trying it sometime, but haven't yet.

Fauxreal 05-28-2012 12:17 AM

I babysit. Does that count as working with kids?

Kotomi 05-28-2012 12:38 AM

I'd count it, I've had to babysit before I didn't feel it was that much different, other than amount of kids you work with
which is a difference of a few 1 to 4 kids compared to working with 30, but at least I have coworkers which kind of made it easier, as long as no one called off

Fauxreal 05-28-2012 12:45 AM

I'm going to go teach English in Japan. I can't wait! - Well I have to apply first, but I just got my passport!

Kotomi 05-28-2012 12:49 AM

That sounds like it would be fun, I know someone who did that in south korea
she was talking about it a couple weeks ago

good luck with that, so do you know much Japanese to make some communication easier?

Fauxreal 05-30-2012 02:07 AM

This thread says ribbons. That wouldn't be gold ribbons by any chance!? :D

Kotomi 05-31-2012 12:09 AM

I had a question on them, since I started late
wondered if the gold ones were random, or if you only got them when you make a thread since at the time I had only got one when I made a thread also I had noticed you couldn't get any when posting in Forum Games so wondered if there were any other places that did that

I still haven't got enough gold ribbons for my first gold ribbon item
sorry ^^;;;

Lucid: 05-31-2012 02:04 AM

The gold ones are random, they just appear less than the silver ones so you have to be a bit lucky. And the forum games and posting lab are the only places where you don't earn ribbons.

Kotomi 05-31-2012 02:14 AM

yep, people were nice enough to explain it to me ^-^

ah didn't know about posting lab, more likely since I haven't posted there before, well doesn't remember posting there, thanks ^-^ good to know that

Lucid: 06-01-2012 08:40 PM

Yeah, the posting lab is mostly just to test layouts and set up threads. It's not a place to chat so it's not a place most people remember is there.

white chicken 06-03-2012 06:57 AM

:'O I didn't know that you couldn't earn ribbons in the games forums.
I usually only post in the game forums, because I can't really make friends in the other forums ^^;
I dunno why though. xd

Arikana 06-03-2012 08:40 PM

Just chat around, White chicken. :] We're all friendly here, so it shouldn't be too hard to just chat. Besides, you don't have to be friends with us to chat with us. Friendships will come in time~~♪

Kotomi 06-04-2012 01:33 AM

Same here
white chicken, can come chat here for a while if you want
agrees with Arikana
it can take some time to make friends
there are a lot of people trying to post actually that don't always like to post

I've never really been that social... and in person only really made friends when they saw my art... my art did the talking for me
So I found the game forums made it easy for me to get gold even if it is harder there

good luck, with getting your ribbons white chicken

Arikana 06-04-2012 09:14 PM

How many more ribbons do you need, white chicken?

Fauxreal 06-05-2012 12:43 AM

I would like another set for my mule, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Arikana 06-05-2012 12:19 PM

I'd love a third set, but I doubt I could get than many gold ribbons for it...so I'll just settle for getting extras of certain items and bundles that I think will be worth more in the future. :3

Kotomi 06-10-2012 11:30 PM

hey even a first set of everything would be nice =p

I think I'm only going to get part... not enough, and too many computer problems
at least I got the item I wanted most of all ^-^

nyreen 06-11-2012 01:08 PM

It makes sense that you can't earn Ribbons in the games forum, it'd be so easy to earn them. x___x

Kotomi 06-11-2012 01:11 PM

yep, it would be
I think one event in the past allowed the currency to be in game forums as well
well it's got me to be a little more social... it's sometimes hard still...

nyreen 06-11-2012 01:19 PM

I like to post on Trisphee but every so often I lose interest and lurk so it sucks when events come around sometimes. xD

Kotomi 06-13-2012 12:14 AM

Yeah I understand
it's either that for me or others lost interest and don't respond so I'm left with something that I can't reply to

so how's your day?

Kira Bella 06-13-2012 04:35 AM

Good to know about the ribbon earning. I would have been mad if I had been posting in the games forum to get the achievement and not getting ribbons. I mean, the event is over in two more days. Would rather have ribbons then posts right now xD

Arikana 06-13-2012 11:24 AM

*nodnod*
Besides, you can always post in the games forum laters. Right now ribbons come first!! >3
Time to start posting like a possessed madwoman, eh Kira? : P

Kotomi 06-14-2012 08:31 PM

sort of giving up on earning them been too busy...

Arikana 06-14-2012 11:36 PM

Does Kotomi have a full set yet?
