Smiles, rubbing her back with both hands. "So tell me.. what has happened since I've been gone?" He wasn't talking about the 6 hours. He doesn't even think about the question, it just comes out, even though it would seem it doesn't make sense.
|
Raising an eyebrow, she looked up at him. She hadn't caught his actual meaning with the question. "Lukas and I sat on the floor for that past six hours. Outside of this bathroom, I have no idea."
She practically purred as he rubbed her back dry. |
Nods, moving over to the lockers after drying her back off. He opens one up to get some of his spare clothes out.
|
Taking the towel, she wrapped it around her hair and moved near him, lightly running her fingers up and down his back.
"How are you feeling?" |
Smiles at her, definitely enjoying the attention. "I don't know.." he takes a moment for a really good stretch. "Physically I feel good, but I am very hungry. The odd thing is, my blood thirst still isn't very dominate at all, I'm not sure I even feel it right now, but I know I need to feed."
|
Listening, she tilted her head to the side.
"Not sure if that's good or bad yet. What about the ardeur? How's it feel?" Turning toward her locker door, she jiggled the handle, cursing softly as it stuck. "You can tell I don't need to use this locker often lately..." |
Grins, openly watching her, enjoying the view and movement. "Oh I think the arduer may show up any moment." he started to show signs of excitement at watching her.
"You know.. the tub was filled with a lot of blood that isn't there anymore.. maybe it's different because of how it was done and the magic infused in it. It wouldn't surprise me if the powers that be messed with my blood hunger still, sort of as a last laugh, or point to nail home." |
Smiling as she glanced over at him, catching him watching her, she pulled out her clothes. Taking her time to get dressed, she shook out her hair and thought about what he'd said.
"It's possible, I suppose. I put a lot into that and it kind of worries me that all that stuff is gone..." |
Smiles, watching her get dressed. "Exactly. I'm sure we messed with questionable magic.. but I still want to go back and see what else I can discover as far as scrolls."
|
Nodding, she straightened, turning her back to him.
"Tighten the strings for me?" Thinking about what he had said, she commented, "What were you hoping to find? Don't you think it's strange enough that we found that one? And so easily... Like it was put there for us to find." |
Smiles, working on the strings for her. "Something else interesting, something else to have another edge, and simply for curiosity."
Finishes tying. "Oh, I'm sure it was placed just for us, that kind of thing doesn't surprise me anymore, I'd like to find out who and why, though." He reaches inside his locker, getting out a tight, long sleeved half shirt, tight black jeans, and even a spare pair of boots. |
Scrunching her fingers through her wet hair, she considered what he had said.
"I just don't think it's a good idea to go blindly poking around, you know? I'd love to know, too, who thinks we need their help... If that's what it is, even. But, I don't want things to just spiral out of control, either." |
Smiles, nodding. "Yeah... it would be best not to continue, especially after the forces we had meddled with this evening." he slips on his pants, then the shirt, and his boots last.
|
Moving to peek around the corner and check on their son, she slipped back to Duryn, pressing against him, surprised at how warm his skin was still. She had attributed it after his exit from the tub to the magic coursing through him. She had attributed it in the shower to the heat of the water. Now, his skin should have been cool, like she was used to, but it wasn't.
"Baby, you're hot. Do you feel any different?" |
Smiles. "I feel absolutely to the limit full of blood, gorged on it. I think all of that blood is inside me now, I shouldn't have to feed on it for awhile."
He hugged her tight, then looks at her. "It feels good.." now that he was able to relax, his strong aura of power emanated from him, but stronger than it was before. |
Snuggling into him, she actually enjoyed the aura of power around him. It was stronger and... somehow brighter than it ever had been. He felt lighter to her, shinier. Almost as if the darkness commonly wrapped around vampires had receded just a bit from him, leaving in its wake the pureness most other creatures exuded without ever realizing it. It was a very comforting feeling. It was easy for her to understand where their son got it from.
"So, what's our next plan of action?" |
Smiles at her, shrugging. "You still need to hunt right? You could hunt for blood and I could hunt for energy.. so it will still be fun. I want to see if I can take general energy to feed on, we can go find some guinea pigs in the worst parts of the city. They taste the best, and I love when they try to put up a fight."
|
Nodding, she leaned up and kissed him, noting the magical tingle across his lips.
"Shall we take Lukas to the sitter, then?" |
Nods. "Yeah.." he motions, leading the way.
|
Following behind him, she quietly contemplated the tingle her skin felt being so near to him. She was happy he was back, as odd as that sounded, since he hadn't really been gone... He felt different to her, but not in a negative way.
As they entered the room where Lukas was sleeping, she stopped and stared at him, a small smile spreading across her lips. She hadn't really stopped to consider the similarities between father and son. He didn't have enough hair just yet to tell what color it was going to be, not to mention if he was like most children, it could change between now and what it was going to be. Gently grabbing at Duryn's sleeve, she made him stop and just look at the sleeping miracle across the room. |
Smiles, taking the moment to watch. He still couldn't believe that it had happened, it really was a miracle. He thought his chance of having a legacy was lost centuries ago when he was killed, but how he had him, it was meant to be, so it would seem.
He was eagerly looking forward to watching him grow, it would be warm and positive experience, to live and grow with his family. |
Putting her index finger against her lips, she tip-toed across the room. She didn't want to wake the baby, after all. Handing Duryn the diaper bag, she carefully lifted the infant from the bouncy seat and placed his head against her shoulder.
"Do you want to carry him, or the bag and bouncy?" She didn't want to speak out loud, for fear of waking the child, and for some reason she felt he'd hear her in his head, just like it used to be, even though they hadn't established a connection since he was resurrected. She thought offering to allow him to carry his son might be appreciated. |
Smiles at her, answering back by thought. "I'll carry him." he reached for him to hold him, so they could get him back upstairs and with the sitter.
|
Gathering up everything else, she followed him out the door, hoping beyond hope that the suddenly loud thumping of the club wouldn't wake Lukas as they scooted upstairs with him. As they got to the door, she quietly cracked it open for Duryn to enter before her, smiling and waving at the sitter, motioning the girl to the corner so they could talk.
"We need to go out for just a little longer. Are you sure you're ok with staying? Lukas just got to sleep again a little while ago. You shouldn't have a problem with him. If we don't get back before Tiri gets up, let her choose her cereal, then help her get her stuff together for school. She knows where everything is here. She just needs supervised. Someone should be around around 7:30-ish to get her." The girl nodded and smiled, saying she was more than fine with it; after all, they had unlimited cable. Grinning at the sitter, she moved into Lukas' room, leaning against the door frame, watching lovingly as Duryn laid his son down. She didn't think she'd ever get tired of watching the two together. It was such an endearing sight. |
Duryn turns to smile at her. "Ready to go play?" he moved over to her, sliding an arm around her waist. "Before now we never thought about the fact that we could be identified while we are hunting, do you think we should do something about that from now on? Just to be safe? I wouldn't put it past someone to blackmail us."
|
Curving against him, she nodded.
"Might be best. That'd be the last thing we need at this point." Glancing toward the window, she looked back to him. "We've used most the night getting you back. Do you think there'll be enough time?" |
Nods. "Unless you pull someone indoors and feed, we should. It will be dangerous for you to be hungry. I'm not sure which thing I should do to conceal myself, since I don't have glamour. I could use my cloak or go into wolf mode, though if I use my cloak, it will double as protection if we are caught out in the sun."
|
Nodding, she reluctantly pulled away from him.
"You should take your sunglasses, too. Just in case. Since you're newly in your old body (that sounds really weird), you're not sure how you're going to react to the lights and things. Better to be too prepared than not prepared enough, after all." |
Smiles at the wording as he goes into the other room, retrieving a nice pair of shades along with his cloak, the material of the dark cloak shimmering briefly. He slips it on as well as the shades. "Let's go." he motions for her to lead on.
|
Waving to the sitter, she walked out the door and headed for the stairs toward the roof. She thought he'd enjoy a nice run across the rooftops before hunting. She knew she would.
|
Grins, feeling exhilarated once in the night atmosphere, or what is left of the night. He stops for a moment, staring up into the sky and taking a deep breath, absorbing the feeling and smells of the night, and the city, it was like he was reborn.
He follows her up, taking two or three steps a time easily, taking off across the rooftop in a blur, knowing Kenly would be able to follow. |
Smiling, watching him react to the night as if it was his first time in it, she felt a happiness swell up in her that only her own children could create. She didn't know why she suddenly felt this amount of pride in her lover, but she did, all the same.
Taking off after him, she was light on her feet, and quick. It didn't take her long to catch up to him, laughing into the wind against their faces. It felt wonderful to be racing through the night with him, even though they'd done it not long ago; in his 'other body'. This felt natural, right. |
Grins at her, joining her aura of simple joy of the moment, loving the feel of the wind on his face and through his hair, running along the roof with long strides, longer than any human could accomplish, leaping across gaps like they were nothing. At one point they crossed a very wide gap across the main road, the two of them would sure be a sight, if someone saw them leap across.
|
Allowing her arms to temporarily shift to her dragon wings, she glided across the main road. If someone would have looked up as they passed, they would have seen the street lamps' glow cause the bottom side of her wings to glitter like multi-colored gems before disappearing back into the darkness above.
The wind whipping through her hair was absolutely causing it to tangle horridly, but she didn't care. She knew when they targeted their prey, she was going to look like a half-wild woman, and that made her giggle madly. |
Looks up briefly to the hotel balconies, smirking, knowing that they would be drawing a lot of attention this evening... but it didn't matter much, since they were both able to conceal their identities, since he had his cloak and shades.
He was searching telepathically for a prime target as they ran. He felt one not too far away now, as they neared not only one, but three of them near the entrance of an alley nearby, they would need to be lured into the alley where no eyes could see the men's demise. He opened his mind to Kenly on where to find the men as he glanced at her. |
Getting the sense of location from him, she diverted from the roof to the fire escape. Making her way down, she fluffed her hair up to get the best out of her disheveled appearance. Once in the alley, she sauntered in the direction of where the three men loitered, purposely making as much noise as she could.
When they turned to look at her, she did a great job of appearing high, or drunk, and very ready for a good time. She winked at them and flirted, moving back into the alley, luring them with her. All she was waiting for was for them all to be back far enough from most people to view for Duryn to cut off their escape route. |
Duryn made his way around to the back of them, leaping off of the rooftop behind them, landing in a crouch, bearing his teeth to the men, his eyes solid green now.
He stood very slowly, knowing these men were startled, but due to their...nature, they weren't quite afraid yet, something he wanted to remedy before he fed. |
Staggering further back into the darkness of the alley, she leaned against the wall, watching the three men between them.
"Don't worry boys. He just wants to watch." Winking, she put her right hand above her head on the wall, a very sultry position. "But for the privilege at this," she gestured to herself and added, "you have to play with him, too." |
Smiles at Kenly waiting for her to lead on as he casually leaned up against the wall, watching the hostility of the men directed towards himself, the men commenting on him being a freak for wanting to watch, but they wanted Kenly, bad... they were willing to deal with limited 'requests' to get a piece of her. He watches as they practically swarm her, making cat calls and crude comments all the way.
|
Being the apex of an apex predator, she was completely aware of her surroundings. She was hungry and wanted to play with her food.
"Now come, come boys. There's plenty to go around. I'm not even concerned with one at a time." She seductively ran her hands through her hair as she pressed her right hip out to the side, accentuating her curves. With her body pressed against the brick wall behind her, she knew how provocative she looked. She was counting on it. She wanted to raise their sexual desire, just as much as she wanted to raise their heart rates. Glancing at Duryn, she then glanced to the man on the left. She could sense he was the most... unstable of the three of them. She thought her lover would enjoy toying with him the most. |
