He stopped walking for a second before sighing heavily. "running isn't going to get us there that much faster!" he complained trying to catch back up. It was easy to tell who of the two of them was faster, then again to be fair he was wearing chain mail and some plate..

He did finally just about get caught up with Zosa though the brat took off running a little faster. "come on!" he half whined and complained, there was no damn way he was going to keep up at this pace. Whatever had gotten into Zosa seemed to put him in a good mood. Not that it was a bad thing it was nice to see him enjoying himself. Though this was killing Thalion as far as he was concerned.

he enjoyed it while he could, though he had speed on his side he did not have the stamina his brother possessed. he laughed joyously though while he could.

After a while longer he noticed Zosa had stopped running and he was breathing heavily trying to regain his breath. Though to admit as he finally caught up to him he was panting as well. "geese.. heh.. one day.. I'll be able to keep up.. one day" Sure he thought if he dropped his gear and had normal clothing on maybe.. that'd be about the only time.

Though to admit it, that run did cut out a good chunk of ground they had to cover.. even if the two of them were tired from running now.

he fell into line with thalion, they both were out of breath but had worn through the euphoria of leaving town, he did not know why but nature enthralled him, more so than anyone he knew of and that along with all the other fortunate things happening today it was just too much not to be happy. he smiled even wider. " if i ever ran behind the sun so fast that time would never move from me would you follow?" he played this question game often and new the answers by heart but still whenever he found himself in the wild swings of joy or sorry he always felt compelled to ask. the other nodded, he asked again "if i ran from the sun and into the dark night never to cas my face to the light would you follow?" the other replied with an 'of course' he asked one more question. "if i died right now and were buried under the green earth would you build me a memorial a hundred feet high?" he turned walking backwards, to face the other. he was not let down with the reply 'no, i would not for i would be buried along side of you.' zosa nodded his approval "and i for you as well" he and thalion had been together since they were born. the words were ones they had been taught to say as soon as words could form in their mouths, nothing was more important to a man than his talios, should he marry the mate would still be second and if the were to marry his talios the union would be a blessed one, zosa knew in his heart of hearts that this was right. he turned his head away sheepishly however when the other asked why he thought to speak the oath. "ah, no reason, it just came to me is all" he rubbed lightly at his arm

He accepted his answer for now it wasn't that uncommon for Zosa to start questioning him when he seemed to be in a good mood. Though he had something in the back of his mind telling him there was something up. Not only that but he didn't miss the fact Zosa was still babying his arm. That actually was worrying him, he knew his skills in healing weren't the greatest but they shouldn't have a side affect like that. Though there was nothing he could do about it now, and Zosa was hardly going to let him reopen the scar to see what the hell was wrong. Though he couldn't blame him on that really.

It as rather funny the more he thought about it, they had been together since birth, hell they left home as soon as they could even against the elders warnings. They never stayed in one place too long and traveled most if not all of this continent together making due with what jobs they found and managing to enjoy themselves along the way. It really dawned on him that if it weren't for Zosa he'd probably be a rather bitter and cold person to be around, though he still had his moments.

he stopped his rubbing as the other frowned at his arm. he had not realized he was doing it, though with his hand on it he realized it had begun to hurt slightly. dropping his hand altogether he fell in line with the other walking correctly once more

He never said a word as he stopped messing with his arm, he could tell he was forcing himself not to rub it. Thalion half felt like it was his fault did he mess up the healing spell and didn't notice? He didn't want to ask him openly knowing Zosa wouldn't complain either way or he'd tell him it's fine.

"heh please don't say your going to have little bursts of energy like that and force me to run half of this trip.." he laughed weakly knowing it was a possibility.. though not really a bad thing aside from wearing him out, that could be bad if they had to fight for some reason.

'no, not at all, i was just excited' he smiled widly 'you know how i am' he looked around at the trees, noticing a large one with a split trunk he wooped for joy 'yes! i didn't realize we were so close!' he laughed 'oh thalion, we have time to see your girlfriend!'

"oh I know.. all too well I know" He laughed slightly again, at least one of them always could get excited so easily over simple things. It was rather rare for Thalion to show he was excited about anything, though between the two at least one of them could keep his head in almost if not any situation. He was about to ask what the hell had gotten into him this time though the next sentence explained it. He glared at Zosa slightly. "She's not .. my girlfriend, nor will she ever be." Really he was annoyed at the fact they had to pass through the little town to get to where they needed to be. It was the same thing every time, maybe they could go and be unnoticed this year.. though he doubted it.

"are you sure there's no route to go around the town.. you said we had plenty of time so whats the rush .. " he complained a little with a heavy sigh, he was hardly looking forward to this.

"but she -loves- you, haha, and when she clears the four foot mark she's going to be all over you" he grinned. the little brat was adorable if a bit clingy. 'oh don't be silly, she has not seen you since we came back from year's trip and that was months ago, besides we may be able to use the horses again" he sped up taking a slight left past the tree

"it's not love, shes hardly old enough to know the meaning of the word" he hissed out as his ears went back a little at the thought of it. "I think when she gets to that stage I'm retiring... so I can avoid this village.." He sounded like he was serious, sure the kid was cute and she cling to him like a lost puppy but at the same time she needed to stick to people her own age, let alone he wasn't looking or had any plans in the future to look for a female.. really the thought never crossed his mind.

He could see Zosa settling down somewhere with someone but that was about it. That didn't sound like something he was going to look forward to or keep plans for that was certain. "so just because she hasn't seen us from months ago we have to go here... your cruel... " He sighed a little, there was no talking him out of it now it was a done deal pretty much. Though the idea of horses was something to look forward to, it'd really cut the trip time.

"but she thinks she does and that is fun enough for me, besides her brother is too cute too, maybe even more so, he's so damn shy, i just have to be cruel" he laughed again. true twins the pair were lucky children omens as well as entertaining, born the week he and thal first visited the village all those years ago, if not for his brother's amazing power of healing, even at that tender age, one or both would have died

He looked at Zosa before shaking his head a little. "I don't know what I did to even remotely start to entertain her.. let alone enough to the point she clings to me and ignores her brother.. " He sighed again, he never saw where he did anything out of the way. Though maybe that was his problem even for his looks he was actually a nice guy though a little on the silent side at times. Not only that but he was trained in the arts of the druid so healing came second nature an melee combat was his strength.

Sure he knew the twins well, hell they were lucky in more way then one that both of them had gotten to the village that fateful day. But that was no reason to cling to him or that's what he thought. "just don't be too cruel, you'll confuse the poor boy" He smirked a little finding his words of warning a little funny coming from someone who had a child stalker.

"hardly, when he talks at all it's only about you. saving a life is a great thing, saving two is better, t them you are the world haha, and again, too cute" he skipped ahead a little finding the stream that led to the village. he followed it gaily prompting thalion to try and catch up, they were almost there

He frowned a bit, it wasn't that big of a deal if someone else were in his place they would have done the same thing. "i guess.. " He sighed before moving to try and catch up to Zosa, he didn't get why he was so excited. Thalion saw it as a few days of babysitting till they left the village.. and if they were ahead of their schedule then they might stay here a few days. That thought bothered him worse then anything. Maybe when she got older she'd find someone during the extended periods they were not here, that'd be a blessing so he didn't have to deal with her each time.

"ZOSA, THA~LI~ON!" he could hear her already, he giggled a bit, he knew she'd come helter-skelter to them her poor brother valiantly chasing behind

His ears dropped as soon as he heard the voice ring out. It was the last thing he wanted to hear. "damn too late to hide now heh.." He was half tempted to turn around and start walking in the other direction but he didn't have a chance to when a young girl seemed to come from no where and attached herself to his leg.

He glared at Zosa who was all but about to burst into laughter. "breath a word.. I swear I'll make you a early grave..." he warned, though it was a bluff and it was easy to tell that. Looking down at the girl he seemed rather un-amused. "simple hellos would do, I think i go over this every time we come by.."

he smiled at the scene, it was quite endearing, though they were one short, he looked around pricking up his ears. there! he turned and looked up, azuro was looking down at him from the tree above. he did not question how the boy got there, he would have never gotten an answer, instead he held out his arms as if asking the boy to fall into his arms. "you look like an apple up there"

Thalion finally managed to gently pry her from his leg so he could walk, though she was close in toe to him. If he didn't have such a calm temper this might annoy him. "So your staying longer this time.. you only stay for one day" She whined a little still managing to keep up with his walk, though she didn't get a answer, she pouted a little before talking again "we miss you both when your not here.." She smiled warmly and looked back to see where Zosa and her brother were. After she was satisfied she went back to chattering away, though Thalion was hardly listening to her.

he made grabby hands at the boy, did faes, even waggled hi ears, a talent he learned from his talios, but to no avail, he got a watery smile and a single giggle, nothing more so he tried his best trick to date. he picked up a small rock and closed his hand around it, holding both up into the air he opened both of his hands the rock having disapeared, he then closed them again and opening then showed it in his other hand, closing them again and quickly opening them he showed his hands to be empty, then clapping his hands he grinned the rock between his teeth, he mumbled a 'tada' around it and pulled it from his mouth dropping the rock he lifted his hands again and the small child slid off of the branch and into his arms

Thalion hadn't walked off too far so he had gotten the end of the trick before he laughed a little "so your next job is a circus performer right?" It was rather amusing watching him try to win the boy over, Thalion wished he had the issue he could avoid his little tag along then.

She was still steady talking to him, he finally sighed and looked at her. "don't you have a certain nanny to get back to? I know you left her somewhere and I'm sure she's worried sick they you and your brother none the less are missing." Even though they lived in a fairly safe ares it still held it's own amount of dangers.

he rocked the child in his arms lightly and watched the other two, sometimes he was so jelous of them, though he knew azuro felt it more so than he, the poor little kid was fond of both his sister and thalion and right now had neither. "so" he said aloud "can we stay the night?"

Thalion looked back towards Zosa with a questioning look of did they have to, though he never voiced his though. "Like I have a real say in the matter?" He knew him asking meant that he had already made up his mind. "a few nights right? you said we were doing well on time." He wasn't saying that for his own sake, he knew Zosa enjoyed spending time here with Azuro, really aside from the cling on little girl this village wasn't that bad.

shifting the child to one hip he gave the other a thumbs-up. he promptly turned and headed for the village the light awed whispers of the small child in his ear

He didn't think it was as good of a idea as the other did but he seemed happy enough. The girl was happy though as she kept following Thalion "so your both really staying a few nights?" She questioned him though it wasn't like she couldn't tell he was trying to ignore her, let alone that he was not thrilled by this in the least. It was more of that she didn't care.

He sighed a little before answering her. "Yes.. but only a few nights. And no that does not mean you can ditch your nanny for the next few days..." She pouted a little at his words, she had done that before as well where she ended up sneaking to Thlaion and Zosa's room that they were staying in along with dragging her brother with her.

his talios was lolly-gaging behind but he did not mind, they were in a safr place for their kind. he gave the child in his arms a light bounce "where is old nanna?" the boy giggled into his hands. ''home'' zosa smiled "home it is then"

The girl over heard the word home and Zosa saying they were going there as she looked up at Thalion. "Don't even try it, she's probably worried that you both vanished.. again" He said a little sternly, not that it affected her any or so it seemed.

"Yeah.. but you'll both be gone till next year.. " He sighed a little listening to her. "we'll maybe you should try making new friends while we're gone, you wouldn't be as bored then hrm?" She seemed to dislike his sudden answer as she stuck her tongue out at him.

when they got to the large central building of the council he put the boy down and slipped through the door, he hoped his other could deal with two worship-filled children for a little while, he was lucky that the boy at least was too shy to literally cling as his sister did.

he found her as he always did in the middle of hearing out a case, he waited until she was done then slipped into the place where those with entreaties to be heard out sat and laid down his request for a day's rest and the use of some horses


when he left he had a grin on his face, not only was his request granted but the horses were free of charge if they'd delay a day on the twins' behalf

He had managed, it was rather funny in truth he had them both sitting under a near-by tree as he seemed to be telling one of the many tales that they had gone through in the past year. Though he had a almost unnatural gift to spin them so children enjoyed the tales. Heck he'd be the cause if any legends were started about the duo.

The little boy seemed in awe before he squeaked out his reply. "did he really kill it with one arrow?" Thalion found this all too easy. "Just one, the beast flailed before falling lifelessly to the ground."

He looked over seeing the grin on Zosa's face, he guessed that meant everything went well. "But that concludes this tale, and I need to save others for the next few days seeing as I'm stuck here." He sighed a little walking over to Zosa knowing he was going to get some remark.

"don't say a word.. " He warned him, even from how he looked Thalion hardly seemed the type to get along with kids, but truth of it was he was almost a natural with them. Yet he had no desire to settle down and have a family anywhere.

"haha, one please? 'katchup' ...no wait, a couple actually, we only are here for two and we have the horses" he shot a grin

'katchup'? He repeated looking at the other oddly. Though he should expect nothing less. ' oh well thats great that'll cut travel time and save our backs' he laughed a little knowing it was the truth.

he smiled "and the two days we are staying here as well" he looked ut at the sun shading his eyes "good thing that too, the day is half spent already

He frowned at the thought of staying here two days. '.well I guess out can't be helped.' He looked back towards the twins and then back to zosa ' one of the two days I say your on babysitting duty ..'

"haha, no luck, tomorrow they are formally accepted as members of the clan, we have them all day tomorrow and today" he haughed and then scratched his arm. he winced lightly at the action but made no other reaction

He noticed the slight wincing from Zosa but never said a word thinking it was just were he had been scratching it so much. 'really... geese I feel old now' were they really that old to be accepted members time really had slipped by in the past years. 'guess I dont have a say in not spending time with them huh..' The girl had walked up to Zosa and thal by this point her brother in toe

regaining composure he replied "you shout tell everyone the good news"

He frowned a little at the mention of his telling everyone "why do i have to, your the one with the big mouth.." he hissed out a little before he seemed to refrain from saying anything further. Normally he did throw out a few curses here and there, though he seemed to refrain from doing so in front of the kids that were now in thier company.

"they adore you, if you say it then it'll mean more"

He sighed a little before looking at Zosa "They need to get over it, whats going to happen if we don't make through the trip this year?" He spoke softly so only Zosa could hear him, but he had a point. As cute as it was there was a chance that the two of them could fail this year or any year. Heck they could fall in battle at any given time in truth.

"then they would be sad for a while" he looked at his other "but that is not important, what is, is that we are here now and they are soon going to be real people in the eyes of the community, it is a large step, do you not remember ours?" he huffed "besides that is the stipulation for getting the horses, that we keep them busy and wear them out so they are able to sit still for three hours and be made up for the ritual
