"I could always travel, if I never age then the people around me would soon notice. If I stayed on this ship, I know that that would not be a problem. But one you're all gone," she didn't like saying that. "I will have to find something else to do. I could perhaps get have my own crew, but I would want one like yours. With men who have respect for woman. They would have to if I were the captain. They would also have to accept what I am." Lucy finished cleaning an area of the deck as she spoke. She walked to the bucket and placed her mop inside. It was rather cold outside now and she shivered. "I've never thought of having a family," she laughed to herself. "Before, when that man was talking about his children. He has seven! I'm sure that that's amazing, being surrounded by so much love. But, that would drive me absolutely insane." Lucy brought the mop out of the bucket and continued to clean. "How many children would you want?" |
Jude glanced over at her, a small smile on his face. "Most of these crew members are in their 30's. I, am 21. We've got a long life ahead of us, and a lot of the world to still explore. We wont be going anywhere on you just yet, unless some freak accident happens, and even then by that time, maybe I'll have accepted your offer of immortality. Or, perhaps you'll have found someone more worthy of the gift than I." he said as he boxed his head to her. He continued to work his way along the deck, swishing his mop around squeamishly as he closed his eyes. "I don't know even if I could be a vampire, I can't really stand blood actually, I mean of course if need be, I can with stand killing someone, but in my eyes, I find it so hard to look at a corpse. I nearly passed out when I found you before checking your pulse. I couldn't tell if you were dead or alive." he admitted. "It made me sick, the thought of you being dead, having to throw your body into the water made me quiver." he admitted shyly, his face hot now as he made his way over to her dress, turning it over to dry the back some more.
"If I could have a family, I'd only want one or two children, I'd fear if I had anymore I would neglect them, and they wouldn't get to be treated fairly. For me I've always wanted two, a little boy, to raise to be a charming man and continue my family name, despite the fact that my family doesn't exactly DESERVE to have their name continued, and a little girl, to be my darling little baby. To be the girl I get to walk down the aisle when she's older. But I want my boy first, so that way when she's born, he can protect her, he'd take her around the streets and never let anyone take advantage of her. That's all I wish.." he admitted. "Most people our age don't dream of having kids, at least I'd think not. But then again, with the plague and everything- I think people work hard to start things young so they can make sure they survive." |
"Only two?" she asked and smiled. "That's different. Often people have several or more children. Though my father and mother only had me. I'm not too sure why he didn't try for a son again. He never wanted a daughter, I think that he hates me for being a girl." Lucy lifted the mop from where she was cleaning and returned to the bucket. "I don't know what it is but I can tell. The way he would look at me, the way that he spoke to me and treated me. He always seemed disgusted." Lucy twirled her mop around the bucket in circles. "If I had children, I would not care what gender they were or what they wanted to be when they grew up. The only thing that I would want for them is good health and to have a good childhood." Lucy let go of her mop and watched it lay still in the bucket. "I never thought of having children, but I knew that one day I would be forced to. I have a husband to be back at my home. A man that I really don't like or know too well. He's nothing like me and doesn't even seem to like me either. He doesn't treat me really well. Maybe that's why my father likes him so much. He said that he was perfect for me." Lucy breathed in, sadness filled her eyes. "What the hell would he know that is perfect for me?" Lucy looked up from the bucket and she looked at Jude. "I'm sorry," she said, she wasn't really sure why she had said sorry. "I'm not use to talking to people, I didn't have much of a social life at home. I just... I get lost in my own thoughts and I don't know when to stop talking." She brought herself over to Jude, Lucy took the tip of his mop in her hand, stopping him. "You wouldn't exactly become a vampire," she whispered to him. "You would become stronger, faster, but you wouldn't get fangs and the only blood that you would crave is my own." |
Jude smiled, he glanced over at her, resting his chin on his mop handle for a second as he stopped. "I don't think I'd care if they were sick, as long as they were happy.. But I'd want to have my little boy protect my little girl..That's my preference.. To have a wonderful son, and a little sister for him to love. It'd also give them companionship at a young age." he said nodding. "I'd very much like to have two, and if they both be girls, so be it, both boy's, so be it. But I want them to look out for one another and take care of each other." he said nodding firmly. He stopped, smiling as she came over and rested her hand on his mop. "It's awful.." he said softly. "What they did to you, and I would never do that to my kids, or for that matter do it for you. You can't fall in love with someone you have nothing to share together. If you have nothing in common, love does not exist." he said, shaking his head. "It sounds strange, but it's hard to love someone when you share no interests. Though an ancient Chinese story of Ying and yang proves other wise. Ying and Yang are complete opposites of one another, one, is light, with a dark spot, and the other dark with a light spot. They're opposites and together they make a whole. As a team they are one, and a perfect circle." he said. "Most things like that are circles, like a peace symbol and such..It's a circle, because it show's the reoccurring act." he noted.
"So.. I wouldn't want anyone but you, and I'd be faster stronger.. ect.." he mulled it over, it still tasted a little bit bitter to him, but he figured.. If he could see himself settling down for a bit, in order for her to have kids with him, then becoming a family.. He'd take her up on her offer. He leaned slowly in, his hands dropping slightly to her waist as he leaned hims, his forehead rested on hers as he drew his lips in, pressing them gently against hers, he whispered, "Maybe.." |
"I can see why you would want that," she said and smiled. "It would be nice if I had a little girl then she had an older brother to watch over her when I couldn't. It wouldn't be bad if it were two girls or two boys, they would probably do the same. I would hope to send them to school as well. Both of them, I would teach them how to read and write. I suppose that having two children would not be so bad. I have never had a sister or a brother, I envy those who do." Lucy paused as he kissed her, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the short moment before pulling her lips away from his. "If I did have to settle down in a village or if I had to travel. I think that I would enjoy teaching children, women and men how to read and write, I would not charge them. I would feel bad, no one should have to pay for something that is needed in this world." Lucy brought her free hand to the side of Jude's face, she caressed his cheek with her thumb. "You wouldn't want anyone but me?" she chirped. "Are you sure about that? We have only just met but you feel that strongly about me?" her heart fluttered in her chest. "Jude," his name danced on her tongue. It felt sweet to say it. "I know that you would never do anything like that to me." |
Jude glanced down at her, his face turning a light crimson, he didn't know if she'd caught on, but she'd said that like it would be their child. 'It would be nice if I had a little girl, and an older brother so he could watch over her when I can't.' he repeated the line in his head, thinking about why she'd said it. He guessed maybe she was thinking now about having two kids based on what Jude had said, but part of him speculated that she wanted to have kids with Jude. His mind traveled to a completely different place. His hands wrapped around her waist, kissing her neck softly, they were pale and immortal. Looking down at their baby boy, and he picked her up, bringing her to the bedroom, his mouth kissing down her body, he wasn't shy anymore. He undressed her, his han- Jude blinked, blushing deeply as he looked down at her. "It's sweet, that you'd be willing to teach so many people to read and write, without asking anything in return.. You should work at a school in the village, we don't have many, but it'd be interesting to see." he said nodding as he leaned back.
"I'm not sure if I want that yet.." he whispered softly. His finger tips brushing along her cheek softly, rubbing the back of his fingers against her cheek softly. "But I'm sure you could always change my mind, the more I get to know you.. I'm sure a decision would come to mind. As for now, I'd like to wait, and get to know you M'lady." he said as he noticed that it was becoming dark now. "We'll arrive the day after tomorrow, I'm going to make dinner, feel free to tell all the men we're having dinner in an hour than if you'd like you may come help me." he said glancing at the spotless deck. |
"There's no need to rush in to anything, take your time. I'll also take my time. I'm not too sure what I want anymore now." Lucy laughed, her face brightened up. "I would love to help people in anyway that I can." After she spoke, she became lost in her own thoughts. What would it feel like to have children? Lucy was sure that she would be a good mother. She wouldn't neglect them, she would treat them respectfully and give them all of the attention that they desired. She wouldn't spoil them, she wouldn't want to give them everything without them earning it. Lucy imagined herself sitting at a table, books sprawled out across the table, stacked next to her chair and organized on shelves. She would love her own library, she would collect books and read them to the local children and her own. On her lap sat a little girl, long dark hair like hers. Big, green, curious eyes stared at the book that Lucy had in front of her. Then a little boy, sitting in a chair next to hers, listening closely to her reading aloud. His features a mixture of her own and someone else's, same for the little girl. Lucy wondered what their names would be. "I'll go fetch the men," she said. "Then I'll go down to the kitchen to help you." --------- The ship creaked as the sea gently pushed it back and forth. Lucy had woken up earlier than everyone else, she could not sleep. Lucy didn't want to wake anyone else. She stood quietly, but the floor under her screamed at her. Lucy closed her eyes, cringing. Perhaps it wouldn't be that easy to be as quiet as she wanted to be. Then again, it was a large ship. Maybe no one else would hear it. When she dressed she went to the deck. The sun rising reflected off of her big eyes. It's so beautiful, she thought. Lucy walked to the side of the ship, her fingers ran along the railing. |
Jude sighed softly, his quivering hand going through his snowy hair as he rested his chin on the rail. His eyes watching his mistress, his love, his lady, the black water. What was so scary about it, it was just water, right. He didn't understand how it scared people so much to come out on the water. Even after hearing stories as a child of sharks, and evil underwater creatures, he'd wanted nothing more but to dive in. His eyes scanned the water, the sun had just begun to rise and he could see his black water slowly fading away, every inch the sun rose, a section of his black water was taken away from him. He pushed his hands up against the rail, forcing himself away, he noticed that Lucy was wondering around. He stalked silently up behind her, grabbing her wrist and spinning her around gently. "Why are you up so early?" he asked as he looked over to her, letting her go long enough to grab her dress. "Here, it's dry now." he said holding it out for her to take. "Is everyone else still asleep?" he asked curiously as he sat down on a stool, leaning down and fixing his trousers and shoes. He tied them up and grabbed his hat off of the banister, tossing it a-top his head. He stood once more, bowing down and taking her hand, kissing it softly. "Where are my manners.. Good morning Lucinda, how did you sleep?" he asked.
|
Her body jumped at the sudden touch, she had been lost in her own thoughts when Jude approached her. As she was spun around she couldn't help but giggle. "I couldn't sleep," she said to him. "I believe that everyone else is still sleeping, I didn't go to look though." Lucy brought a hand gently up Jude's back, her hand moved to his chest and then to the side of his face. "I could have slept better," she whispered to him, afraid that she would wake the sleeping men. "I tossed and turned quite a bit, maybe the rocking of the ship kept me awake. I couldn't tell, but I think that there was a storm. It could have been a dream, I don't remember." Lucy slipped her hand from his and began to rub her sore eyes. Her head hurt a little bit as well and she felt hungry. Lucy wasn't hungry enough to feed yet, but soon she would be. Her hands fell from her tired eyes and she leaned close to Jude. "Did you even sleep?" she asked, sounding concerned. "And how close are we to the village?" |
Jude smiled softly as he hands ran along his skin, she seemed to be quick paced, her hands traveled up his back, to his chest, and then made their way to his face. He glanced down at her as he pulled his arms around her lower back, rubbing it softly. He glanced down at her and closed his eyes, resting his forehead on hers softly, sighing gently. "Oh- Me.. No.. Like I said I usually leave the men alone during the day, and sleep.. I don't like being asleep when the water turns black.. I love the black water.. It's.. Enchanting.. So no.. I haven't slept yet.." he said giving a firm nod as he pulled her close into his body, he lifted her and sat her up on a crate, rubbing her legs now instead. "No- I think you were dreaming, your dress is completely dry, so it couldn't have rained, not to mention I was out about all night long, and I didn't feel a single drop." he said softly. "We're about.. I'd say at least 3 to 4 hours away from the village. I'm not sure if you'd want to go for a swim when we get there, or go straight into me showing you around. Since.. You wont be staying, I'm not sure if you'd really like to or care to be shown around." he said as he looked up at her. "It's completely up to you though- alright? So whatever you want from me you let me know." he said softly.
|
Lucy squeaked as he lifted her and came between her legs, she pressed her body against his, her face became buried in his chest. She sighed happily, her hands rested on his lower back. "You don't have to show me around," she said to him. "I don't want to stay on the ship though, I'll go in to the village. Maybe I'll take a look by myself." her fingers began to run his lower back gently. "Do you mind purchasing me some new clothes? I need more than one dress to wear and perhaps getting myself a shirt and a pair of trousers would also be good." she lifted her head from his torso and looked up at him. "I'll pay you back in chores, of course. But you don't have to get me anything. I wont be upset." Lucy brought her hands to Jude's chest and ran them up to his shoulders. She pulled him down towards her. "I wouldn't mind going for a swim, we will do whatever you want to." she purred. Lucy closed her eyes and pressed her lips against his hard. |
Jude smirked as he looked down at her, sliding between her legs, his face grew hot as he felt her body mush against his. He smiled, running his fingers through her hair as she buried her face in his chest. "Oh no, no problem, I'll take you around the village, we can look around together, I wont leave my crew alone, it's not safe, especially - though I believe in equality for a woman, and NOT to mention, you're also not skilled in fighting yet. But we'll also have to work on that before the going get's ruff, I.." he paused, his hands running along her thighs softly. "We.. Can't lose you.." he breathed. Jude's face neared her's, he smiled, his hands slowly sliding up along her skin, underneath his shirt, he pulled all of the elastics off and smirked softly. "I'd love to buy you some nicer things to wear," he snickered. "Maybe some things just for me too see," he teased playfully. He was only kidding, though he wouldn't mind seeing her dressed up just for him. Slowly he reached forward, playfully tugging at the strings on the front of her shirt. His eyes glancing up from her body, eyeing her up and down to her face. "A swim would be nice.." he whispered. "If we go first though, we wont have anything to wear in the water for either of us." he was implying he wanted her to go without anything on. He was being playful. He thought that's what woman liked.
He leaned in slowly, his face burning bright crimson as she pressed her lips to his. He grinned against her kiss, kissing your back deeply, his teeth pulling softly down on her lip as he picked her up, forcing her legs around his body. He blushed, pulling back from her kiss for a second. "Would you like to go.. Somewhere more pirvate?" he asked. "Or stay right here?" he breathed with a slight smirk. He didn't think he could feel so attracted to someone, he never had in the past, but he had little to no experience sexually or in general. But he knew that he wanted her, it made his insides twist giddily, the thought of undressing her, and laying her down on her back. Every girl eventually learned not to fall on her knees but onto her back, he hoped he could get her to fall the right way. (Yes.. A Romeo and Juliet Reference xD ) |
"You don't have to," she purred to him. "Teach me a few simple things before we reach the village, enough to know how to properly defend myself." her fingers pressed against Jude's shoulders and she massaged them. "Then I can wander off on my own and you won't have to be constantly worried," she brought one hand up to the back of his neck. "I would be awful if you had to escort me everywhere, it would make me feel guilty, Jude." she brushed her lips against his after she spoke. Lucy's body felt hot when Jude played with the strings on the shirt. "Do you mean undergarments?" she said and couldn't help but giggle. "If you want to purchase some you could, but you could always purchase me sewing supplies. I could craft my own and surprise you." Lucy paused as Jude teased her. "I could also use it to make some outfits." then she found her mind elsewhere. The feeling of Jude against her had become too overwhelming. "We can do whatever you want," she whispered. She ran her tongue along his lips playfully, she wasn't too sure why she had done that. Lucy had never been one to tease someone sexually. She didn't know if Jude would like that. |
Jude blushed as she purred in his ear, smiling softly he bit his lip and looked her over. "That's the point.. I don't want to teach you.. Because I want to keep you close.. So I can protect you." he said smirking softly as he let her massage his shoulders, relaxing now. "I wont be worried if I'm always by your side, and you wont feel guilty knowing I want to be there." he said smirking as he leaned down, planting soft kisses on her skin. "Undergarments, outfits, don't you sound perfect.. Sewing them up as a surprised.. That'd be nice.. We have a sewing machine. But I don't like surprises! I like to know," he teased with a smirk. He leaned in his teeth grazing her neck softly as he kissed it, sucking softly on her skin, his tongue lapin around her collarbone as he pulled at the shirt, untying the shirt he let it open up and smirked. He made his way down the stairs, holding her in his arms as he opened the door, tip toeing to his head quarters he threw her down on the bed, kissing her softly. He smirked as she licked his lips. "I.." he breathed at loss for words as he grabbed hold of the hem of the shirt, pulling it up above her head, his face grew hot, glancing over her bare upper body. "Jude, Jude, Jude.. What are you doing.." he whispered.
|
Lucy melted as he kissed all over her body, the soft touch of his lips made her body quiver with delight. She had never felt such a sensation before, her body became consumed with pleasure. "But surprises are fun. You will have to learn to be patient," she said teasingly. Her eyes grew hungry for more. Her lips parted, but no words came out, only a soft moan. Her fingers dug in to his back as he lifted her, she held on tightly as she was carried. "What's wrong? she asked, her face became red as he undressed. Her chest was exposed, but she didn't feel the compulsive need to cover up. It was OK, it felt right. "Are you nervous?" she asked. Lucy wrapped her arms around him and brought him closer. |
Jude's face reddened as he shook his head, he loved the sound of her moaning. "No.. I'm not nervous.." he whispered as he leaned down, pulling his own shirt off. "I was admiring my view.." he whispered as he laid kisses down her neck, leaving a trail along her body. He smirked and closed his eyes, his tongue swirling around her nipple, snickering as he nipped at her skin. He kissed down to the line of where his pants were, pulling at the strings he grabbed them in his teeth, lowering them, he pulled her shoes off and smiled up at her. "Should I be?" he asked as he leaned back up, planting a soft kiss on her lips as he took off his jeans. "You're beautiful.." he whispered, closing his eyes, the crew mates wouldn't awaken for awhile, and even if they did, they'd go straight upstairs and continue to work. His face reddened as he pulled his pants off. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he breathed in her ear, smiling softly as he rubbed his hands up and down her sides, smirking softly. He kissed her gently, looking over her bare body once more. "You, sure you're into this?" he asked, he didn't want to do anything that she wasn't willing to do.
|
Lucy breathed heavily, her body felt tense as he began to kiss her. She watched him with curious eyes as he went lower and lower. Lucy brought her hand to her mouth and nibbled on her nail. "I'm beautiful?" she asked, her face couldn't become any redder than it already was. No one had ever undressed her before, her stomach became knotted. Even if every man in the world told her that she was beautiful, she couldn't help but feel insecure. The only time that she felt safe and wanted was when she was around Jude. Jude's desire for her made her feel beautiful. The way he kissed and touched her it made her feel unusual. She had never felt this before. She wondered if it was love, it was possible. But it was too early to confirm that it was. I've never been around a man before that I felt so perfect with, she thought, it might just be lust. I might just be confused. Who knows? "It doesn't bother me," she said and flashed him a smile. "I've never been with a man," her eyes fluttered closed. "Like this before, it's all so new." she opened her eyes and looked in to his. "I feel a little... different. But not in a bad way." she whispered then kissed him gently. "I want to, Jude." she purred. ------------ Lucy had became tired after their embrace, her body was numb. It had hurt her a bit, but it felt so passionate that she hadn't let that stop them. Near the end her toes had curled and she couldn't stop herself from crying out. She felt embarrassed by her outburst, she hoped that no one had heard but Jude. She was still undressed, hidden under the covers and playing with Jude's hair. She always seemed to be playing with it, she hoped that he didn't mind. Her eyes were closed, a smile permanent on her face. Lucy wasn't too sure what to talk about, her mind felt scattered. |
Jude blushed, his eyes fluttered closed as he listened to him, smiling softly as he wrapped his arm around her waist, his head rested against hers, he kissed her temple softly and blushed. "Now.. Lucinda.. I may have only known you for a few days.." he paused for a second as he sat up to look at her, taking his hands from his hair and resting them on his chest. He looked down at her, a genuine smile on his face as he did. "But I do know.." he paused, looking down at her, long enough to rub his hand down her arm, touching her shoulder he leaned down and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "I like you.. A lot.. I've never actually felt this way about anyone.. I feel close to you.. Closer than I've felt to anyone recently.." he said quietly. His shaking hand reached down, slowly pushing away a strand of her hair. Smiling, he closed his eyes and breathed a laugh, pecking her down on the lips before he pulled the covers back. He rose and grabbed her dress. "We want you to look pretty so all the villagers can stare, at how beautiful this new pirate is.." he said softly as he handed her, her dress. Tugging on his pants. "Now.. As much.. As I would LOVE.. LOVE.. to cuddle up to you, the crew will suspect something.." he whispered with a chuckle, leaning back down and kissing her gently, tenderly.
|
Lucy took her dress gently in her hands, she ran her fingers over it's delicate fabric. It was soft and well-made, her mother had sown it for her for her eighteenth birthday. It was a meaningful gift to Lucy. Usually her parents would spoil her by purchasing luxurious dresses. Her mother had had an accident, her hands had become crippled. Yet she had made Lucy a magnificent dress. Lucy wondered how long it had taken her. She didn't want to think about how much it had hurt her though. She treasured the dress dearly. Her feet meet the cold floor as she stood to dress. She slipped it over her body. The dress was frilly and had a floral-like pattern across some parts. Lucy wrapped strings around her torso and tied it in a neat, little bow. The back of the dress hung lower than the front. It was very form-fitting, it hugged Lucy's hips but still enabled her to breath without struggling. It was something that a princess would wear, but compared to all of her other dresses it was nothing. That's why Lucy liked it. It was so simple, but still luxurious enough for her tastes. "I like you, too," she whispered back and kissed him lightly. "I really do, but I'm not too sure if I can say that I love you yet. You're an amazing man, Jude." she ran her hands up and down his back. "I have never been in love, not yet. I'm just a little confused." she hoped that he would not be hurt. "But, I'll only give myself to you. If you only give yourself to me." she brought a hand to his and squeezed. Lucy pulled away from him and fell backwards on to the bed. She sunk in to the mattress. "I understand if you don't want them to know. I won't say anything and I will behave myself around you when they are present." |
Jude's smile softened, he watched her get dressed and his insides twisted as she spoke. He did like her better with her clothes on, but it was because he was too sensitive.. And she was way to pretty. He had nothing wrong with her naked, but she was.. She was just so many different things, both in bed and out of it. He took the opportunity to grab some clothing himself, he wanted to look nice for when they went into the Village. For all they knew though, they may have been tied to the dock already. He really had no idea how long they'd dosed off for. But just to be safe he opened his closet, his heart sinking as he sifted through his nicer clothing. He'd had one of the ship mates sew him some things from the fabric of his royal clothes. He grabbed a shirt, that was white, and puffy at the top, with a slit coming down a little bit past his chest. Below the slid was a black band, which squeezed up against his body. He closed his eyes and smiled, fixing the sleeves, which, much like the torso of the shirt were puffy, but had tapered black wrist bands at the wrist. Jude reached for a pair of undergarments, and removed his black puffy shorts, which had white bands at the knee, so the contrasting opposite of the shirt now, on.
His eyes falling upon the crown that they covered. His shaking hand reached for it, setting it side ways on the ground. He stared long and hard at the shiny gold crown. Shaking his head he pulled his shoes on, slamming his foot down on the crown he watched it flatten under the weight of his foot, grabbing the now gold strip, it threw it in the closet and stared at her. "I wont make you hide it.." he said. "And I'm not offended, Lucy.. I don't know what love is.. I've spent my whole life around a dysfunctional relationship... So I don't know what it is.. But when I do.." he said softly as he pulled her into his arms, rubbing her back. "I'll let you know.." he said gently as he kissed her forehead. "As for now.. I do.. Only want to offer myself to you.. But I'm not going to say I'm in love with you yet.. We'll ride it out.. see how things go.. " he said as he pecked her on the lips. "Don't worry about the crew knowing.. They've been sharing stories of live for the past 5 years.. and pestering me to find love of my own.." he said softly into her hair. |
She couldn't help but watch Jude as he dressed. Her eyes wandered over his body. When he took out a crown she examined it curiously. Lucy flinched when Jude suddenly crushed his crown, her eyes grew wide and she looked up at him. She did not speak though. She reached down beside the bed where her brown boots lay. Lucy slipped them on carefully, then began to tie them up neatly. Once done she wigged her toes around inside of them. They had always fit perfectly. She smiled as she felt his hands around her waist. "I hope that they don't tease you," she said as he kissed her. "I get the feeling that they will." she giggled softly after his lips touched hers again. Lucy ran her hand up his arm and squeezed his shoulder. "We should go out, they might be awake and looking for you. They might have noticed that I've gone missing as well." she took his hand in hers and went to the deck, once there she let go of his hand. |
Jude glanced down at her as she spoke, a grin spreading across his features. "I think you're one thing I wouldn't mind being teased about. What could they say, that little Jude has fallen in love..?" he mused with a chuckle. "Besides, they wouldn't tease me when you're around, they don't know you well enough to tease you, they'd feel bad if they upset you." he said nodding as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, kissing her softly as his hands rubbed up and down her back. "Besides the teasing has waited long enough, 5 years and they finally have something to tease me about." he said as they approached the deck, he blinked as his hand suddenly felt cold, he shook his head. "I don't care if they tease me.. Besides," he paused as he grabbed hold of her hand once more. "It seems like we're already docked, we must have slept past everything." he said as he looked out at the small island before them. Smiling softly he took her hand and led her down the plank that took them to the dock, holding her hand softly in his own, his palms grew sweaty. He made her nervous. "So- to the dress shop?" he asked as he pointed a little ways away, down the street that led from the dock, there was a little open booth with dresses hanging, both simple yet elegant. They had a large variety, and across from their was a place where a woman could get fabric and buy shorts. "Shall we?" he asked holding his free hand out, motioning for her to lead the way to where she'd like to shop.
|
"I wouldn't mind it if they teased me," she laughed. "You have teased me enough that I've grown use to it." Lucy blushed as he took her hand back, she caressed his hand with her thumb. He wanted to hold hands with her, despite his crewmen being around and despite knowing that the villagers would see. It made her heart skip happily in her chest. Jude did seem to really like her and Lucy liked him back. "Oh," she said as she came back from her thoughts. "A new dress would be lovely, just one. I don't want to spend all of your money." Lucy smiled, Jude was so kind. He was buying her things without hesitation. "Would it was alright if I got a coat? I don't have one and it would be horrible if I didn't have one when it gets cold." Lucy wondered if she could even get sick from the cold, she had never been sick when she was little. Her eyes lit up when she saw a coat shop. "Can we go there first?" she brought herself close to Jude and whispered in his ear. Lucy kissed his cheek. |
Jude blinked, he hadn't teased her much from what he thought, maybe she took some of his thoughts, or some of the things he said as a joke, he hadn't been joking, but maybe he'd said it oddly. He glanced over at her and nodded. "Well- they don't tease so friendly. Sometimes- they don't realize the things they say hurt. Besides- it's not about how well I know you, it's about how well THEY know you." he noted as he glanced around the road. He looked over at her, pouting playfully, "Mmm.. Well.. What would my job be then? If that coats keeping you warm, what could I do for you?" he asked gently, rubbing his hands up and down along her arms softly. He went back to holding her hand, nodding as he pulled her towards the shop. He let her hand go allowing her to go free to look at what she wanted. He wandered around himself, smiling as he approached the counter. "Oh hey Lia!" he said as he leaned over, conversing with her. He leaned over and pecked her on both cheeks. It was a sign of respect in Lia's old village. "Yeah no- your Husband is probably on his way home to see the kids now. When I came up everyone had disappeared, so I wouldn't be surprised if he'd gone to pick you up some flowers and gone to buy the kids a toy." he said chuckling. "Yeah- when are you ever going to tell him that you HATE, Tulips?" he asked shaking his head softly. He listened to the woman talk, she asked about the girl he'd brought and he blushed.
"To me- I don't know what she is.. I haven't asked her to be my woman, or anything like that- You know I'm not the type to just pick a girl up for the fun of it though. Between you and the other men's wives, I've never actually TALKED to a girl aside from you guys. Be proud of me Lia, I've finally got someone." he said softly as he glanced over at Lucy. "Her name is Lucinda, but everyone calls her Lucy, she's actually the newest member of the crew, and the guys all like having her around, she reminds them of their wives, so they feel warmer being around her. John was telling her about all 7 of your kids, and you, she lit up his face, because she reminded him of you." he said elbowing her softly as he waited for Lucy at the counter. |
"Jude," she cooed and blushed. She squeezed his hand playfully and brushed her lips against his gently. "you know what I mean." she muttered under her breath. "But you can keep me warm later..." she ran her tongue over his lower lip, then pulled her face away from his. Lucy felt excited as Jude walked with her to the little shop, she waved shyly at the girl behind the counter when they entered. Her hand slipped away from his and she almost skipped over to a few coats. They were hung neatly, whispering to her to try them on. Lucy had had many coats at home, she had brought some with her but they had been lost with her ship. Her eyes fell on a navy blue coat, her hand stroked the material carefully, afraid to damage it. When she took it from its hiding place she smiled. It was perfect. Lucy slipped it on without hesitation, she stretched out her arms to make sure that it fit. The coat was feminine and figure flattering. It had cute little gold buttons, they matched her necklace. Her necklace. Her heart nearly stopped, where was it? Lucy played in her dresses pockets and pulled out a gold necklace. It was a lion's face. She sighed out of relief, thankful that it had remained there this entire time. How odd, she thought. Lucy brought it over her head, it hung low to her chest. She turned to Jude finally and asked "What do you think?" |
Jude stopped talking to Lia for a moment, so this is was it was like, to have a girlfriend, or at least something that resembled one. He eyed her up and down and his lips turned up into a smile. He closed his eyes, a grin spread thin, eliminating the smile completely, replacing it now. He could feel himself reeling off into dream land. There she was, sitting on a tire swing, a yellow sun dress that hung around her knees, swinging on the tree, with her blue coat on. There Jude was, pushing her, stopping her to lean down and press his lips to hers lovingly, and help her out of the swing so she didn't fall. There they were together. He seemed to have his own visions, and the jacket brought them on. He opened his lips to speak, glancing over to her, his words faltered, he didn't seem to be able to get them out.
Lia shook her head, rolling her eyes as she used her hand, pressing it against Jude's chin to close his mouth. She walked over to her, and played with the collar a bit. "You look great love! And I'm NOT just saying that because you're a customer." Lia said as she pulled it off of her. "It matches your lovely necklace, where did you get that darling?" she asked with a grin as she looked down at her, smiling softly. "You're beautiful, you know that, what are you doing with this bumbling idiot!" she said motioning to Jude, waving her hand in his direction as she rang up the coat and took the Money from Jude's little pouch. |
Lucy tilted her head to the side out of curiosity. What was Jude thinking of? She held out her arms as the jacket was slipped off of her by Lia. Her face burned as she blushed from her compliment. "Thank you," she managed shyly. Lucy still wasn't use to such attention, positive, loving attention. She wasn't use to compliments or people taking an interest in her. It felt different. "He isn't a bumbling idiot," she laughed and looked up at Jude. "But maybe I just have not seen that side of him yet." she teased. "He's very kind to me and treats me like I should be treated." Lucy's skin felt hot and she seemed nervous. "He saved me and gave me a home, he's very generous." she ran her hand along Jude's lower back playfully. She brought her eyes from him to the woman. "Is there a school?" she asked and smiled. |
Lia chuckled as she listened to the girl, "I think that's a side of him you have yet to have seen, or maybe don't notice. That right there," she said motioning to the face Jude was making, the one that meant he was finally clicking in. "Means he's finally come out of the Land of Jude, and has joined reality. He has this space in his head he goes to. Like how you and I day dream? Only he makes twisted face." she said as she folded the coat neatly, tugging the price tag off. She assumed she'd probably wear it out of the story.
Jude glanced over, shaking his head. "HEY! Don't tell-" he lowered his voice, frowning as he glanced at Lia, his elbow swiftly shoving into her side. Shaking his head. "Lia has been like a sister to me, ignore any abuse we dish out to one another." he said chuckling as they both cast one another an evil glance. "Evil.." he murmured stepping away to look at a few hats. "He's a gentleman, that's for sure, me and my husband didn't always have such a loving relationship. But after he'd stowed away on the ship and was discovered. He knew he walked a thin line. The first time they came here, and they introduced him to everyone, he met me, covering my face because the night before my husband had gotten into the whiskey, and took a swung at me. Jude wouldn't stand for it. He turned around and held a sword to my husbands throat. Telling him if he ever did that again, he wouldn't hesitate to cut his head right clean off of his shoulders. He's sick and twisted, but the sweetest man alive." she said nodding as she nudged the coat towards her. |
Lucy's face felt hot as she blushed, she couldn't help but feel shy in a village full of unfamiliar faces. She felt extremely welcomed though, Lia barely knew her but seemed so kind. A smile crept across her face as Lia and Jude teased each other. They were like siblings, taunting each other in a lovingly way. Lucy had never shared a relationship like that with another living creature. She wondered how it would feel to have someone like that in her life. Would it have made her an entirely different person? Her hands ran gently over the coat as it was ready to leave the shop with her. Her eyes met Lia's eyes and she whispered, "Thank you." She took it from the counter then slipped it on. The wind was a bit harsh when they had showed up, she hoped that this lovely coat would protect her small frame. "A woman should never be treated like that," she said and began to play nervously with her necklace. Her finger ran over the nose of the lion's head. She wasn't too sure if it was her place to speak her opinions on such a matter. "No one should be treated like that, everyone is entitled to their rights and to respect." she smiled weakly, hoping that she would not upset the woman that she barely knew with her words. She brought her free hand to Jude's and ran her fingers along his wrist. |
Lia smiled softly down at her, she was a strong one and that was exactly what Jude needed. She knew from experience that Jude was the type of person that couldn't handle someone weak, despite how gentle he was towards everyone, he could be cold, and he could be distant. Often getting lost in his own thoughts Jude sometimes wasn't good company. No one talked about it, and Jude claimed not to remember it, he pushed it into the back of his mind behind a locked door. But once upon a time, Jude had, had his heart broken. The very first time they'd come to the village, Jude had fallen for Lia's sister, Lia had tried countless times to warn him of her ways, she was what people thought of as dirty, she was someone who fumbled with adultery at a young age, she crushed the hearts of men at a whim, she was heartless, until she met Jude. It was hard for Lia to convince him of her real ways, because Jude thought she was gentle and cute. He'd crushed her, by telling her no, the first time she'd come on to him, and she spent the rest of her years spreading rumors around the village of who Jude was. They'd eventually passed away when Lia's sister had died of the plague a few years later. Jude couldn't handle someone who was soft now, because of that stupid girl. He'd been foolish to fall for him, and that's what drew him and Lia closer to become friends. Lia always looked out for him, even when Jude hadn't deserved it.
Jude smiled softly as he looked down at her, closing his eyes as he rested his head up against Lucy's, his arms lacing around her body slowly as he stood behind her, leaning down and gently kissing her neck. He closed his eyes and slowly touched his lips to her ear lobe, playfully nipping at it quietly. His eyes wandering around the store. He giggled softly in her ear, he was ticklish all over, it was odd, the way the simple touch made him giggle. He opened his eyes and pulled away. "The coat looks nice on you, and thank's Lia. " he said tossing a couple coins at Lia's head, grinning as he waved goodbye, taking her by the waist with one hand, and holding her hand with the other as he escorted her walking behind her. "So where would you like me to take you now, eh?" he asked softly. "Oh and yeah there is a school but since it's Sunday there isn't one running. But there is a small Library, later today you can read to the infants if you want." he noted as he glanced down at her. |
Lucy waved her free hand at Lia as she was lead out of the store by Jude. "Thank you!" she said, hoping that she had said it loud enough for Lia to hear. She didn't want Lia to think that she was rude because she had not thanked her. As she walked outside Lucy's eyes were all over the place. She spotted a bakery, the smell of freshly baked goods drifted around her. Her eyes then fell upon a few homes. There was a woman sewing outside and there seemed to be quite a bit of children playing all around her. "That would be lovely, I love to read. I'm sure that the children will be thrilled! Will you show me where to the library, Jude?" she asked, saying his name made a chill run up her back. She looked up at him, smiling. The feeling of his hand around her waist and his other taking hers made her feel safe and secure. Lucy turned away from Jude and her eyes continued to curiously examine the village. Then she saw a sign. "Oh!" she said abruptly then pulled away from Jude's touched. She approached the signed and read, Moon Festival. "When is this?" she asked aloud, speaking to herself. |
