"Oh I'm fine.." She smiled brightly and walked alongside him. You know, he is kinda cute. she thought idly to herself. She shrugged as Felix asked Seth about his apartment, "A very long story. Anyway, Seth, you go do what you need to, I want to get to know Felix a bit."
She let go of Seth and walked over to Felix, looking at him with her flat eyes. "You seem interesting..." |
He walked away from Serus. He took off his coat and set it on one of the chairs and started to warm up. "I'm gonna have to end this fast I'm still not fully healed from the little scuffle with Serus." He thought as he did a back flip into the center of the arena.
When he landed he griped his ribs when he landed, but not enough to show that he is in pain. He looked over at Serus and Felix "I wonder what they are talking about." He said to himself. He did another back flip,and as he landed he did a roundhouse kick. He did a subsequent amounts of kicks. In tell he saw Felix making his way out to the center of the arena. "Good luck Master Seth, (he leaned in) I know you can win." "Thanks Felix." Seth said with a smirk. Then he saw Cecil enter the arena and you could hear a low growl come from his throat. |
Serus said nothing more to Felix, just watched him. When he walked away, she stood there, playing with her watch as she watched Cecil and Seth. I'll have to be careful..they can't know I'm interfering. Her eyes were focused on the weapons rack on the other side.
She gathered up just a smidgen of her power, gently wrapping it around Seth's core. "Seth..don't react...I will try to keep your ribs in place and pain signals away from your brain. I can keep further damage from occurring as well. I owe you that at least." She set his ribs to their original position, and blocked the pain receptors around the area. |
He felt a little better and he just shrugged it off. "So Seth are you ready to die?" Cecil asked chuckling.
"I'm not gonna die here today you will loose but I will not kill you I want to live with the fact that I beat you." Seth said with a smirk. "You guys this match will last until one of you is unable to compete." Felix said strongly. "BEGIN!!" Felix said running out of the way. Seth charged at Cecil but was blown back by a force field. "Damn it!" Seth yelled. Seth adjusted his eyes so he could see it, he grabbed a throwing star out of his back pocket. He threw it and hit it just off centered smashing Cecil's force field. "You little bastard!" Cecil yelled at Seth. "What? You used a force field, and I have a right to smash it." Seth said with a smirk. Seth looked at Cecil and read his aura "His aura is a light red which means he is starting to get mad." He thought to himself as he thought of his next move. Seth stood up and started spinning in place when all of a sudden a whole bunch of throwing stars comes out of the vortex that Seth was in, and they were all going towards Cecil. Cecil dodged most of them but got hit in the arm, leg and chest. "Fuck!" Cecil said as he was pulling the stars out of his body. Seth stopped spinning and pulled a dagger out. He started running towards Cecil while he was pulling out the stars. He made it to Cecil as he pulled out the last star and looked up. Cecil was able to dodge most of the attack but got a huge gash from his chest to his arm, and he lost control and feeling in his right arm. "You little fucker! I cant feel my arm!" He yelled at Seth. "Well if you want to forfeit I will be happy to stop." Seth said with an evil smile. "I would rather die." Cecil said as he stood up. "That can be arranged." Seth said as his eyes went blood red. He stood there while working up the energy to lift Cecil up and throw him. Cecil could feel what Seth was doing, but he couldn't throw up another force field. Seth finally got up enough power to pick up Cecil and he threw him all the way across the room sending him through the barrier and impaling him on a board. Seth ran up to him. "Do you wish to surrender?" he asked. "Never!!" Cecil yelled. "Well my former master this is where you will surrender." He said as he undid his katana from its sheath. He drew it and cut off his former masters right arm. "Felix do you want to call me the winner?" Seth asked. "Yes master. Here is your winner and the new Leader." Felix said with a smile. As he said that Seth fell to the ground passed out. |
Serus clapped slightly, "Well done, but seeing as your unconscious, you cannot hear me." She walked over to Cecil, grabbing his shoulder, "And seeing as your fight with Seth is over, it looks like I can have some fun now." She grinned sadistically, looking to Felix, "I think it's about time someone kill this maggot. Dont you?"
She didn't wait for him to answer. She tightened her grip on Cecil's shoulder and yanked him off the bored he was impaled on. "Now then Cecil, how should I kill you?" She threw him to the ground, picking up his arm and looking at it, "A nice clean cut. You taught him well." |
Cecil tied to crawl away from Serus but it was to no avail. "You little bitch, you think you can just waltz in here and challenge me the leader of this clan to a duel after I just got done with one you are crazy." He said scared.
"Oh dear im going to have alot to clean up tonight." Felix said with a sigh. {I hand over Cecil for you to do the fight scene} |
Serus jumped in front of Cecil and crouched down, tilting her head, "Aw, is the big bad wolf afraid? What happened to mister 'I can kill you any day'? You talk so much trash." She grabbed his head by his hair and lifted him up a bit, so he was forced to look at her, "But you're weak. How ever you became an Elder, yet alone a clan leader is beyond me. You're a disgrace to all vampires Cecil Augustin.
"I, Serus Antinori, leader of the Antinori's, and High Council Member, declare you guilty of endangering our secrecy. And do you know what the punishment is Mr. Augustin?" Cecil snarled, his arm launching out to grab her throat, which he squeezed tightly, "Council!? You! You..bitch! How dare you take my seat!? I will rip you to shreds!" He rolled out of her grasp, using his momentum to throw her into the wall. Slowly he staggered to his feet, the bleeding from his shoulder had already stopped. "You have no right to take my seat, my coven, and my apprentice! I thought you 'came in peace'?" "Eeep!" Serus was thrown in the air, but Cecil was weakened from his fight with Seth. She did a little twist here and landed casually on her feet, her arms crossed and her eyes shut. "I didn't take anything from you. I was handed your seat because of your incompetence, Seth has your coven, and as for me having him? Please, he may be cute, but he's way to young for me." Cecil growled, lunging at Serus, blade in hand, "I will tear your heart from your chest you bitch!" Serus frowned, spinning to the side and giving him a quick jab in the back with her left fist. Cecil tumbled forward, his balance off from the fact he was missing an entire arm. Serus quickly grabbed onto Cecil shoulders, using a jump as leverage, she hauled herself up, wrapping her legs around his torso and her hands held his head, "Dearest Cecil, your penalty is death. Do you have anything you wish to say?" Cecil growled, gathering up his power, "You have sorely underestimated me Serus." He released his power in a focused attack at her. The force sent her flying across the room and into a wall, shattering it. The drywall came crashing down on her, burying her as some of the ceiling following suit. Serus shook with fury, her power flaring and sending the shrapnel of dry well cascading around the room as she stood. "I'm done playing around with you Cecil! I will chop off your head and serve your heart to my fledglings!" She jumped at the weaker vampire, grabbing into his shoulders once more preparing to throw him. |
Seth woke up while Cecil and Serus were fighting. "What the hell happened?" He asked whoever was close enough to answer him.
"You past out sir." Felix said and he put out his hand to help him up. "While You were passed out Serus and Cecil started battling." Felix said as he draped Seth's arm around his neck to help him walk. "Did I win?" he asked confused. "Yes you did master. Congratulations." Felix said with a smile. Seth looked at Serus and heard her say “…he may be cute…” "She thinks I'm cute?" He thought to himself. Felix started to lead Seth to a nearby chair. |
Cecil snarled, dragging his knife along her belly and upwards to her shoulder. Serus winced, but other than than, gave no indication of pain; after all, she can block her own pain receptors as well. She had not noticed Seth came to, but did notice there was a chair there. "Sorry Felix! Heads up!"
Now this next sight was something to see! A little petite woman hefting up this large, 6ft man into the air by his shoulders, swinging him in an arc and throwing him down onto the chair. The chair, of course, shattered, sending splinters just about everywhere. Serus jumped onto Cecil's back, pulling a dagger from a hidden sheathe on her thigh and putting it in his back, twisting it in his spine. Cecil howled, writhing underneath her, "Get off me you tramp!" His power flared again, kicking her off his back and into the ceiling. Serus fell tot he ground, landing of course, on her face. She did not expect him to have that much power left over by now. She coughed, standing up as she pulled out a leg from the chair from her stomach, "You've ruined my favorite dress..." She glared clenching her fists. If Seth thought the hat incident was bad, he hadn't seen anything yet. |
Felix heard Serus say "Sorry Felix! Heads up!".
"Holy crap!" Felix said as he saw Cecil go throught the chair. "Shit!" Seth said as he saw that the chair was splitering and he put up a force field around Felix because Felix is human and he would die. While he did that a piece of the chair went stright though his left arm. "Son of a bitch!" He yelled when he noticed what just happened. He pulled the chair piece out with his right arm. you could hear a growl come from him after he pulled it out. "Are you ok Felix?" He asked concerned. "Thanks to you master I am." He said in relief. "Now let's get you to a chair." He said helping him walk. "You've ruined my favorite dress..." Seth heard Serus say this and leaned over to Felix and said "Cecil is so fucked now." He said with a chuckle. "Why is that master?" Felix asked confused. "Well you remember what my apartment looked like? That's what happens when you ruin something of her's." He said laughing. "Oh Dear." Felix said with a smile because he was glad Cecil was gonna be put in his place. |
Cecil suddenly felt cold, Oh shit. He also felt another sensation, something he could tell he wasn't going to like. Pressure.
Serus glared, "I may not be able to see this" she said, motioning to the tear, "but that doesn't mean you can just cut it up whenever you damn well please!" She stepped forward, her power flaring up and increasing the pressure around Cecil, "Don't fret, I won't let you have the easy way out. I am going to torture you, and it's going to be a blast." Cecil narrowed his eyes, "You don't scare me Serus so you can just stop trying to." He was brought to his knees suddenly as he felt the tendons being ripped from the bone. He couldn't help but yell out, it was quite painful after all. Blinding by the onslaught of pain as she tore his insides apart, he planed on throwing the knife, hoping to hit her..anywhere would do. He would just have to distract her enough to get her to stop. He thought hard for a moment then realized he could never hit her hard enough with it to do what he wanted, then threw the knife where he thought he heard Seth. Serus moved quickly, intercepting the knife and catching it by the hilt; only a few feet in front of Seth. "Now that's just low." She grinned darkly, walking over to him and jabbing the knife into his skull, "But, oddly enough, you still bore me. So I'll just kill you I guess." She wrapped an arm of telekinetic power around his arm, severing the joint as she ripped it from his body and threw it across the room. "Okay, maybe not quite yet." She crouched down so she was eye level. Her finger traced a small circle around his eyes, "This will be delightful." Serus was well known for ripping out the eyes of her victims..a sort of calling card if you will. She was, after all, blind. She shoved her hand forward, forcing her two fingers around his eye before pulling it out, then quickly pulling out the other. Cecil yelled at the top of his lungs and began to roll around. His rational mind was long gone from the pain. Yet, he would not beg her to kill him, even though that's what he wanted so the pain would stop. "You bitch!" Serus took the eyes and shoved them down his throat, "I don't appreciate being called such a thing. I am no dog, last I checked." She shoved her hand deep into his throat, lodging the eyes in a location where they would block his trachea. Not that he needed air. Finally, she became bored, and decided she didn't want to get covered in anymore blood. A pale finger gently poked his chest where his heart was, "Good bye Cecil Augustin." With a tap, the organ exploded as she sent the pressure around it to such a level, it had no other option. With a sigh, she whipped her hands on his clothes and stood, her fingers tenderly touching the long gash that was starting to heal. "How bad does it look?" She turned to face Seth and Felix. |
Startled Seth said "Um not that bad and Felix is a good seamstress so he could probably fix it." He gulped. He looked at his arm which wasn't bleeding anymore as his body already started to heal. "From what I saw, when I was conscious you did a great job Serus, I'm glad I didn't get you that pissed." He said with a nervous chuckle.
"Master we should get you to go get rest." Felix said concerned. "No I need to address everyone." Seth said while trying to walk away. He got a few steps away and he fell to his knees. "Fuck, I think I have a few more broken ribs." He said as he looked at Serus and laughed. "Master let me help you up." Felix said as he kindly and gently helped Seth up. |
Serus coughed a bit as her lung repaired itself and flushed the blood from the organ. "Well I certainly can't continue to wear this...do you have anything that I could borrow? Just until I can get back to my house." She sighed, her finger twirling around one of the torn edges of the dress. With a sigh, she began to untie the large ribbon around her neck.
Now she wasn't about to just take off her dress in front of the two men, but she could get a start on unlacing it, as it took almost 30 minutes to lace up. "Seth, be a dear and unlace the back while Felix scurries off and gets me a shirt and jeans?" She turned a bit and moved her hair to the side. |
Felix ran off to do what he was asked. "Um sure" he said nervously and he walked up to her and started to untie the laces. When he got her dress untied a little he could smell her and he took in a long deep breath which hurt his ribs but he didn't care. "God she smells amazing."He thought to himself.
"I know its not polite to ask a woman's age but how old are you?" He asked wondering how she would react. While waiting for her response he lightly placed a kiss on her exposed shoulder. |
Serus smiled slightly as she felt his hands work, "Let's just say...I'm older than you..." She laughed softly, holding her dress up as it got loose. "I don't really like to state my exact age..."
Normally she would've cut out his tongue, but, he was being a gentleman about it. Not to mention, he was really cute. She couldn't just blatantly hurt someone like that. Oh no. Suddenly, she felt a soft kiss on her shoulder, that caused her to jump. She whirled around, a slightly confused look on her face, "I'll have you know that my shoulders belong to me, not yous lips." She couldn't help but give a soft smile though. |
He smiled back at her. "Eherm well I think its untied enough, I'll take you to a room where you can change." He said as he put his arm around her neck. They left the arena for the first time in what seemed like hours. He lead her up the stairs and showed her to the room where she could change in which was right next to his new room.
"I'll be in this room resting if you need anything." He said with a bow and walked into the room. He shut the door behind him "God she is really beautiful." He said with a sigh. He started to unbutton his shirt as he walked into the bathroom to clean up a little bit. He wiped hes face and whole upper body. "I wonder how she's doing." He wondered as he laid down on the bed. "I definitely need to change the color scheme of this room." He said with a chuckle as he started to drift off to sleep. "I've...had...a...long...d..." he couldn't finish his thought as he fell asleep. |
Serus nodded, holding her dress with one hand and shutting the door behind her, "Thank you." With a sigh, she turned to the bed seeing a few sets of clothes neatly folded. She walked over, looking at the outfits. Most were things she'd never be caught dead in. At the end of the row, she saw something black.
"Ah, black, the best color in the world~" She slipped out of her dress, revealing her strapless black bra and panties. With a sigh, she folded it neatly on the bed, lifting up the black outfit Felix had laid out for her. "Felix, you spoil me!" She held the black dress to her body, then looked into the full body mirror. "A little modern and fancy for my tastes, but I like it." She smiled and quickly slid the dress over her body. It was a simple black dress with a low V-neck cut to it. Along both sides were slits that went up to about mid thigh. She zipped up the zipper in the back then gave herself another look in the mirror. "Felix is good..almost a perfect fit..just a tiny bit loose, but that's okay. I don't want it too tight." She sighed slightly, unsure of what to do now. Seth was asleep, she could sense that much. She would need to feed, but she wouldn't be doing that until about 1 or 2 am. She frowned, heading out of the room and exploring the manor. |
Seth awoke at 11:30 to find a new pair of pants and a shirt sitting on the dresser. "YAWN. Ah Felix you are good." He said with a smile as he undid his tattered and dirty pants. As he was putting on his pants there was a knock at the door.
He grabbed the shirt and put it on "Purple, my favorite color Felix." He said as he got to the door. "Hello sir, did you have a nice nap?" Felix asked swiftly." "Ah! Felix yes I did, and you are good at picking out clothes for other people." Seth said with a grin. "Why thank you sir. Also here is Cecil's leader and High Council ring's." Felix said while opening his hand. "Thank you Felix I would be lost without you." Seth said as he grabbed the rings and put on the leader's ring. "You are certainly welcome sir. Oh dinner will be served in about twenty minutes." He said with a bow and he was on his way. "Ok Felix thanks." He said as he looked at his watch. "Well I guess I'd better go and get Serus." He said as he smiled big. He sat on the bed and put on his shoes, and buttoned his shirt. He opened up the door and walked up to the room that Serus was in. He knocked on the door. "Serus? Are you in there?" He asked sweetly. He knocked as he opened the door slowly. "Serus?" he said again. he looked all over the room "Well I guess she's not in here. I wonder where she is." He walked out into the hallway and he looked for her aura which was a light pink. "Found her!" He said with a smirk and he went to go and get her. |
Serus froze as she heard footsteps. She whirled around to face Seth, "Ah! Seth! I thought I heard you calling me." She smiled a bit, motioning to the dress, "You have a wonderful servant Seth. Felix knows how to dress a woman." She laughed slightly, noticing his shirt. "I wouldn't pin you as a purple person?"

He chuckled "Felix is amazing for a human. Purple is my favorite color." He said with a smile. "You look very beautiful." He said blushing slightly. "Oh here you go, this was Cecil's Council ring." He said as he handed her the ring.
He looked at his watch "Hmmm dinner is in ten minuets.""Um not to sound rude Serus,but how long have you been blind?" He asked quickly and as sweetly as he could. "Never mind that I asked that Serus. Dinner is about to be served we should head down." He said as he gently grabbed her hand and started walking to the dining room. |
Serus smiled a bit, "It looks very nice on you." She took his hand and walked along side him with a frown, "Since I was 5. Long story short, I got sick, went blind, somehow recovered otherwise. Medicine wasn't very advanced back in the early 1500's. It's nothing to be worried about, really. I don't mind you asking, in fact, I was curious as to how long it would take you."
She shrugged, clutching his arm slightly as she walked beside him, "I've learned how to deal with my blindness in many ways since I became a vampire, but when I was human, it was very hard for me. Either way, you needn't worry about it, more often than not, I can see just as well as any other person. All I have to do is go into someone's eyes and hijack their optic nerves' signals and broadcast it, so to say, to my own brain. For the most part, it gets me by." She shrugged again looking down a bit, then tensed with an inaudible gasp. She quickly slid the bracelet down to her wrist, had it had managed to get moved up to her elbow. With a sigh, she looked back up at Seth, "So you're special...you can read auras. What's that like?" |
"Why thank you." He answered with a smile. "I am very sorry to hear that, and I've known since we dueled at my home." He said sweetly. He felt her grab his arm a little more but he didn't mind. "So your not a pure-blood." He said with a slight smile.
"Don't worry I don't care. Vampires are vampires." He said smoothly. He looked down for a second and was surprised by her question. "Well I'm sure you know this but pure-breeds don't turn into a vampire until midnight on their eighteenth birthday. Anyways when I was technically human I could never stop seeing and reading people's aura's. When my eighteenth birthday came it turned off and I have to adjust my eyes to see them." He said pausing to take a breath "Anyways you say you basically peer into peoples brain's, being able to read people's aura's is like im peering into their soul. It's actually depressing, I can see everyone's feeling but I'm not totally sure on how im feeling." He said kind of depressed. "Also i can't read your aura. I can see the colors but as to why your a certain color I don't know why." He said with a sigh. He pulled her hand up to his mouth and put a gentile sweet kiss on it. |
"Since our battle? What gave me away? It that damn chair, wasn't it? The splinter from my arm, right?" She chuckled slightly, listening intently as he spoke. "Indeed, I'm not your..typical vampire. My sub breed isn't very popular like the half breeds are becoming. It's a long and complicated mess that I won't get into today."
She stared at him as he kissed her hand, but didn't bother to pull her hand away. She smiled slightly her tone sly and playful, "Am I going to tell you to keep your lips to yourself?" |
"Yes it was that splinter." He said with a gentile laugh. "Only if you want me to stop." He said coyly. "I hope she doesn't want me to stop."He thought to himself. They finally reached the steps, they slowly walked down the steps and reached the bottom.

Serus glided down the steps, raising a pale brow, "Perhaps I don't." She smiled, following him tot he kitchen, "Do you..feed this way every night? And, if I may ask, why do you generally get your blood like this? I know it's not for the humans' sake. You hate them as much as I do, perhaps more."

"Well actually it is because of Felix, he doesn't like to go out and knockout other humans, and no I'm usually not here at night I go out hunting." Seth said with a slight smile. "I do feed like this in the morning though." He said with a straight face.
I do hate humans I even kill them when I feed sometimes, but not always." He said as they entered the dining room. "Do you wanna go out to eat or shall we stay in?" He asked kind of jokingly. |
She nodded, "I would never think of killing them. True, I dislike them as much as the next vampire, but killing them only raises their guard. I don't think the council would appreciate me increasing the risk of exposure. And you know, every kill you, or any vampire leaves behind, we're usually the ones cleaning it up."
She shrugged again, then looked around. "I think a night in would do me some good. I'm usually out every night patrolling around for..those odd things. A nice relaxing meal would do my mind some good." |
"Ok." He said as he reached the table he let go of her hand and pulled out the chair. He gently grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the chair and gently pushed her close to the table. He went and sat down in his new chair. "Maybe after dinner we can go and watch the moon on the roof. In less you wanna go home?" He asked sweetly.

Serus smiled and sat down in the chair, "You know, based upon our first meeting, I would not have pinned you as the gentlemanly type. It's nice to meet someone who has manners." She gave him a sweet smile, pondering a moment, "That sounds lovely..although, you'll have to let me borrow your eyes." She casually motioned to her own, "Blind and all."

"Thank you for the complement. There was one thing my father taught me and that was no matter the woman always be a gentleman. Even thought when we first met I was an ass." He said with a laugh.
He watched as she smiled "She has a very beautiful smile." he thought to himself. "You can barrow my eyes anytime you want." He said slyly. With that Felix came in with the blood and served it to everyone. Seth looked at Serus and said "To a new friendship." TING. Seth and Serus took a drink. |
Serus nodded, "He taught you well, and I wasn't exactly all charm either you know." She thanked Felix for bringing the blood, then raised her glass to meet Seth's, "How are your ribs coming along?" She knocked the glass back, taking a fairly large sip of the blood before setting the glass down and letting her finger run around the rim.

"Well they are coming, I haven't had to work on my healing powers a lot so my ribs will be fully healed in a few days." He said as he grabbed his ribs. He took a deep sip from his glass.

She nodded with a frown, "Again, sorry about that, I was quite peeved. My poor hat" She laughed a bit. She finished off her glass, resting her elbows on the table and lacing her fingers. She rested her chin on her fingers, watching him curiously. "Well, seeing as you asked my age, may I ask yours? I want to guess around...300?"

"Its ok, I deserved it." He said with a laugh. He finished his blood. "You are close I just turned 250 today." He said with a smirk. Well shall we go watch to the roof?" He asked pleasantly.

Her jaw dropped slightly, "It's your birthday? No freaking way." She smiled, an idea forming into her head. She stood and came over, sitting on his lap, "Since it is your birthday, I guess you get one wish." She winked, "Make it count Seth. You don't get another until 300."

Stunned by what Serus just did he couldn't say anything "Should I ask for a kiss or what?" He pondered. He could feel her eyes burning into him. "How about I think about it for a little bit and get back to you?" He asked scared as to what her answer would be.

She gave him a slight pout, "Aw, come on Seth! Be impulsive!" She leaned closer to his face, that sly smile still on her face. "Nothing too obscene of course too ya know. Oh, alright fine I'll let you ponder. Shall we go up tot he roof then? I haven't had a good look at the moon for quite some time now."

He got up trying to hide his excitement, but he held his composer and gently grabbed her hand and started to lead her up to the roof. "Holy shit I am so confused right now. I'm gonna do it when we get up there I am going to kiss her." he clenched his free hand as to gather up courage.
They reached the roof he opened the door for her and lead her to the fence. "I know what I want my wish to be." He said obviously nervous. "I want to kiss you on the lips." He said breathing deeply. Before she could answer he kissed her... |
Serus laughed, following him up the stairs and to the roof, "Oh re--" Before she could finish her sentence, his lips were pressed on her in a tender kiss. Now she had two options, pretend she didn't like it, or indicate that she indeed did like him. Her split second decision would have dire consequences either way. If she accepted it, a few of the possible mates she had lined up in the clan would be furious, if she didn't, Seth's heart would be broken.
But which was worse? Ah, what the hell, I like him She gently set her arms up on his shoulders, lacing her fingers behind his head as she returned his kiss. Now, it was nothing extreme, but it wasn't just a peck here either. |
He felt her arms wrap around his neck, he took that as a good sign and brought her waist right up against his. "I never want this kiss to end." He thought. All of a sudden he got a whiff of something, and he broke the kiss. "Somethings coming he said staring into her eyes.
"We must destroy them both." Dragos said to Layla. He looked up towards the roof. He saw them kiss. "That is disgusting." He said barely holding back his vomit. |
