*picks nose* mine's bigger

Den 10-28-2019 07:07 PM

Tuna are also good as sushi or sashimi or poké.

Merskelly Metalien 10-28-2019 07:15 PM

I like Codfish. -u- And Tilapia. Tuna not so much. :/
Had crab poké before. :] Though I found it okay, even though I really don't like crab. o-0 I dunno how that makes any sense..

Den 10-28-2019 07:19 PM

*settling in to work on knitting* after I finish the small dolls, I'mma look for a pattern for a big doll.

Merskelly Metalien 10-28-2019 07:20 PM

:D Are they voodoo dolls?

Den 10-28-2019 07:21 PM

Naw. Fanart dolls of the Mighty Nein. I wanna make a big Caduceus Clay sometime.

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 10:18 AM

sounds interesting. i wonder if you could sell those, set up a shop or smth?

Death by Mirrors 10-29-2019 10:53 AM

Maybe ask trystan, I think she has already sold some crochet plushies. Though I have no idea how much she makes with that on a monthly basis.

trystan830 10-29-2019 01:53 PM

eh, i only sell things if i wanna. i usually don't wanna. so i don't have a consistent monthly amount. i mean, i made $20 this month for a doll. but the last time i sold one?

...

... uh... hang on....

january.

2017.

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 02:19 PM

crikey.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm wanna set up commissions for my art. i keep forgetting that i gotta do gallagher's commissions for runes.

trystan830 10-29-2019 02:20 PM

eh. i generally crochet for fun, and if someone asks me to make them something, i really gotta want to do it.

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 02:30 PM

i'm stuck in endless procrastination hell.

Den 10-29-2019 07:56 PM

I wish people would commission me more often for art stuff...

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 08:01 PM

mood, but at the same time, i do not have payment options set up in the slightest.

i'm hoping that once waterfall gets their commission market set up, i'll be able to set commissions up there, since they're going with stripe over paypal because of the fees and such.

Den 10-29-2019 08:30 PM

I have a Ko-Fi, and I also take Paypal...

Stabbsworth 10-30-2019 12:23 PM

i can't take paypal because they... recently(?) upped the age to register with it. i can, however, go with stripe, but they require an address.

Den 10-30-2019 06:16 PM

I've had PayPal for well over a decade

trystan830 10-30-2019 10:02 PM

i have no idea how long i've had paypal. i just got venmo back in august though

Den 10-30-2019 10:19 PM

I honestly don't know why I got a PayPal account. but I got a Ko-Fi account so I could hopefully get tips and such to save up for things I need.

dragoness129 10-31-2019 07:31 AM

My paypal is helpful when donating to sites.

Stabbsworth 10-31-2019 10:44 AM

i'm planning to go with stripe, and that's what Waterfall (another social media site i tend to use because it's better than tumblr) is hoping to use for their commissions market.

EverAshwood 10-31-2019 12:55 PM

Happy Halloween, y'all

Stabbsworth 10-31-2019 12:56 PM

happy halloween, pal.

Den 10-31-2019 09:26 PM

Hap spoop day.

Mekatra 10-31-2019 09:58 PM

Den, I have no idea what the roll4it dice rp server really is, but I keep thinking of people roleplaying AS dice every time I see it. It is a hilariously great thought.

I REALLY need to start commissioning art again...

littl3chocobo 10-31-2019 11:46 PM

happihapp!

Stabbsworth 11-01-2019 12:34 PM

roleplaying as dice, you say?

object heads.

littl3chocobo 11-01-2019 07:28 PM

dicehead lemons?

It's a Discord server where there's over 40 individual Tabletop RPG campaigns going on, for a lot of different systems, including D&D 5e, Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Powered By The Apocalypse, and a few freeform RP areas. We also have two West Marches-style areas, one for 5e and one for Pathfinder 1e.

Stabbsworth 11-02-2019 10:16 AM

espy likes object heads, i think they've got a good character with one.

Den 11-02-2019 03:11 PM

Yeah... It's been awhile since that one made an appearance, IIRC...

KittyBeary 11-03-2019 04:25 AM

I commission plushes, cosplay items, and almost anything in between. ouo

Den 11-03-2019 10:29 PM

honestly... I still need to finish the one commission and get the remaining one started.

littl3chocobo 11-04-2019 02:12 AM

sell art and rarely i buy it x''D all those physical goods are beyond me

Den 11-04-2019 06:26 PM

anymore, for things like plushies and costumes? If I can't make it or find tutorials on how to make it, I don't need it, for the most part. but for art? there's a crapton of artists who I really love the art style of, and I have artist friends who I want to be able to commission art from as well. Even if I can draw most of the stuff I want to see, myself.

Mekatra 11-04-2019 06:32 PM

That actually sounds really cool, Den! The roleplay server I mean.

I've heard artists say that they wouldn't commission someone else to draw something they can do, but I've heard a lot more say that they like supporting their fellow artists when they are able to do so and they enjoy having things in other styles than their own.

Den 11-04-2019 06:43 PM

Yeah, and there're some things that I struggle with depicting (Robots, animals...), but someone else is almost an Art Deity at those things.

Mekatra 11-04-2019 06:46 PM

There is always going to be someone better than you at something, but for every person that's better there is also someone wishing they were at your level.

Den 11-04-2019 06:48 PM

True. the thing that annoys me is when people are like "I wish I was as talented as you!" I wasn't born with a pencil and sketchbook in my hands. I've been practicing and learning and practicing more since I was 14 (when I really started getting serious about getting better at art).

Mekatra 11-04-2019 06:54 PM

That drives me absolutely nuts! "Oh I could never do something like that." Yeah well once upon a time neither could I. It's called a skill because I honed it, not because I woke up one morning and was magically fantastic at it.

I do WISH I had some talents without the work though, just because I am kinda lazy sometimes. That's why I like commissioning people haha, then I can get what I want with zero effort.
