What about the owl who drinks peppermint mocha, though? Would that be one of those pygmy owls?

Also, baby ravens have icy blue eyes.

Biomecha 10-24-2018 09:48 PM

Good question. Or pumpkin spice.

Espy 10-24-2018 09:51 PM

My stomach can’t handle coffee, so none of these apply.

...On the rare occasion I do drink it, I usually go for iced black coffee, no sugar, no cream.

Quiet Man Cometh 10-24-2018 09:58 PM

I have discovered that my local uni campus branch has a chocolate chai latte and it's the best thing.

Yeah, ravens and crows are their own things. If you've ever had to deal with a raven, they aren't too pleasant, and they are larger than you think. They also have a rough and heavy look to their heads and beak.

I think a crow is a member of the jay family, and there are at least two types that I've dealt with. The common crow is the larger one that is pretty much all over North America iirc, and the western/coastal crow is smaller and hangs out on the west coast. I think Canuck would be a coastal crow. The crows I dealt with up in the northern area of the province were probably common crows, the locals called them ravens all the time. They never sounded like a raven when I heard them the odd time.

We get some owls around here. I think a barn owl once, and we have a good picture of a barred owl in a tree, and another shot of a great grey.

Biomecha 10-24-2018 10:01 PM

Nitro cold brew has gotten popular enough that even some Starbucks have it. Maybe that would be easy on the stomach? The foamy aspect is actually pretty pleasant.

Espy 10-24-2018 10:01 PM

Ravens are pretty amazing; had one basically pose for photos a few years back. Got some cool pics from that.

Do they have bean juice for children? I can't imagine that going over well flavor-wise.

Cold brewed coffee has a much lower acidity, so it's less bitter and is a lot kinder to your stomach.

trystan830 10-24-2018 10:10 PM

mdom, what's wrong with puns? XD

KittyBeary 10-24-2018 10:26 PM

I love cold brew, or cold bean juice, whatever. xDDD

trystan830 10-24-2018 10:59 PM

i'm more of a tea person, actually....

Crowly 10-24-2018 11:03 PM

I just got done making Halloween shaped gingerbread cookies. (cat, pumpkin, bat and candy corn shaped)
I decided to double the recipe and ended up with around 160 cookies. I'm never doing that again, it took me all day to make them. XD

mdom 10-24-2018 11:17 PM

Nothing wrong, they just... well I hate and love them at the same time.
Intensely

Espy 10-25-2018 05:38 AM

I usually don’t pun. Not particularly good at it.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2018 06:50 AM

...but you wouldn't deem them pundamentally wrong either?

Mekatra 10-25-2018 10:51 AM

So you're saying you're not much of a pundit on them?

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2018 11:00 AM

Also if they aren't your strong suit, does that imply your skills are kinda... puny?

Mekatra 10-25-2018 11:01 AM

Luckily for you, there's no punishment for being bad at them.

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 11:03 AM

god, what i wouldn't do for either a vanilla or caramel milkshake right now.

up-town, there was a cafe that used to do vanilla or caramel milkshakes, and they were really fucking good.

Mekatra 10-25-2018 11:06 AM

I feel like a vanilla milkshake is just melted vanilla ice cream...

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 11:08 AM

human, please. have you ever tried a vanilla milkshake?

Mekatra 10-25-2018 11:14 AM

D..Did you just call me human? How rude...

And yeah, it just tasted like vanilla ice cream...

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 11:15 AM

you are human, yes?

Mekatra 10-25-2018 11:17 AM

Whoah, what's up with all the personal questions? Of course I'm human and not five cats in a trenchcoat.

neither am i, honestly. XD

also, i'd prefer a vanilla milkshake if there wasn't an option for cookies~n~cream =)

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 11:25 AM

then i'll probably call you a human. after all, five cats in a trenchcoat? that's impossible.

nyoom nyoom, candy time in five to six days.

trystan830 10-25-2018 12:01 PM

on one of the other forums i'm on, the options for one's gender are:

*male
*female
*not telling
*kraken
*Literally just six cats of varying gender identities sharing a suit of human skin
*non-binary

so... yeah. =)

Witchchylde 10-25-2018 02:06 PM

Wow, maybe I'm really cats in a skin suit and never knew it.

trystan830 10-25-2018 02:10 PM

well, i know i was a cat in a previous life, so maybe!

Espy 10-25-2018 03:40 PM

I'm two dozen squirrels in a trenchcoat.

...Kidding, I'm actually a robotic construct.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2018 03:51 PM

Trystan, please give me the url of that forum. I feel the inexplainable urge to sign up for the sole reason I can click the cats sharing a human skin option and have grumpy cat as my avatar.

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 04:11 PM

that forum has more gender options than facebook does.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2018 04:18 PM

Better gender options. That's the whole point here.

Stabbsworth 10-25-2018 04:20 PM

covfefe

endless gender options.

Death by Mirrors 10-25-2018 04:24 PM

"Literally just six cats" is one of those gender options you don't even realize you need in your life until you encounter it for the first time.
