She wiped her eyes as she nodded in understanding for what Akio wanted to do, "Sorry, I'm just not used to this and thinking I'm doing everything wrong. Let's hurry and see if maybe the commotion we heard might be someone able to help us. Maybe give us a left into town or something." Under her breathe she whispered a prayer that the creature's soul would rest peacefully and not linger in the world of the living.

"I'll have to come back and leave flowers or something for it when its day time or some time that's safer. I'm just glad it died quickly instead of having to suffer." Tabitha followed Akio as he began heading in the direction of the commotion he mentioned, not wanting to keep any distance between them as they traveled the rest of the distance.

The carriage had stopped so the driver and guards could discuss a sensible way of traveling back to town. Catty remained quiet, not caring what route they took as long as it lead them back to town and away from the middle of no where.

Moving to check to see if she had left anything sensible for herself to read while the idiots up front argued, Catty pulls out a book and begins to leaf through it.

Akio moved forward cautiously to the chaotic scene unsure of what was going on, for all he knew at the moment they had been infected by something and would pose a serious risk to his and his companions life, and he was quite fond of breathing; though knew if Catty seen him in his current state that could also make that short lived. Stopping suddenly as they drew close he let out a depressed sigh seeing the colours the guards wore and the family crest on the carriage "Catty... what in the heavens names are you doing out in the bad lands?" he looked to Tabitha with a worried look not knowing how this was going to turn out at all.

Watching Akio as she followed him closer to the carriage, though she didn't think that now would be the time to get curious about one since she'd never seen on before. Though she did notice the change in Akio from cautious to worried as he looked back at her.

"Catty? Maybe I should ask that question later since you look really worried about it." Of course a bazillion more questions popped into her head, like what this 'Catty' thing was and if where they currently were is the 'bad lands'. She figured that by the time she was done with her questions Akio might not feel up to talking with her afterwards for a while.

The guards had finished with deciding the best course of directions to return home, the head of them barking out orders for the others to follow, the main concern getting Catty back home and safe. One of the guards pauses, seeing Akio and Tabitha and motions to the Captain whom turns to look at them.

Akio looked to the guard "What in the gods name is she doing out here?" completely ignoring everything else at least for the moment. He sighed for a moment knowing how he looked and how bad things must look "My carriage was attacked, my escort and entourage where killed protecting me." he explained his eyes going to Tabitha "This young lady has escorted me here and procured my safety" he said his voice showing how tired he was "I wish to get back to the town as soon as possible, so if I can see Catty"

Tabitha listens to what's going on while glancing around at their surroundings to make sure nothing snuck up on them again. Though she was wondering who 'she' was and if they were wealthy like Akio, then why would they be coming all the way out here? What Akio had been doing out here was something else she was wondering about to be honest, but normally people from the city avoided leaving because the security there was better than the security outside of a city when it came to keeping the community safe. She stiffens slightly when Akio mentions she escorted him and procured his safety, but she wasn't sure what procured meant. But she continues to scan the area a bit nervously because of that one creature.

The guard nods, listening, "She came out looking for you, you know how Catty is. Once she gets something stuck in her mind, it's pointless to talk her out of it." He glances at Tabitha than back to Akio, "At least your safe, that's the main thing, there can be unsavory people out in these lands." He moves to the door of the carriage, "Of course." he unlatches the door and opens it.

Akio looked to him listening to his words but only half of it was sinking in due to just how tired he was "It wasn't just people but other things as well" he confessed nodding knowing exactly just how his betrothed could be and walked forward as the carriage door was open. He knew he looked like he had been through hell and know he would get nagged at because of it but right now he didn't care. Pausing he looked behind him to Tabitha "Come along, and don't mind Catty she'll say things but she means well" his voice showing just how tired he was.

Hoping that the guard wasn't referring to her at the mention of unsavory people, Tabitha follows him likes he tells her to. Watching how he gets in she follows suit, taking a look around the carriage. She couldn't stop her eyes from going wide, but she was able to keep her mouth shut and not gap it open as she sees how nice the interior looks. When her eyes fall on Catty she stiffens a bit, the young women before her was so well dressed and wearing such pretty clothing she didn't feel like she belonged in there with her and Akio.

"H-h-h-h-i, it-it-it-it's nice to me-e-e-e-t you."

Catty's eyes flicker to the door as it opens, they narrowed a little seeing the state that Akio was in and the smell... her nose wrinkled a little before her gaze lands on the girl who stuttered as she spoke. Charming, this was the company Akio kept with?

"Should I even bother asking what you have been doing out here? Quite obvious by that smell." Catty says curtly, her gaze back on Akio, "And who's your friend, hm?" her eyes narrow, jealously seen in them as she waits to see what Akio says.
