Aughhhhh we had a Kobi in our town square, it was so nice!

Illusion 12-30-2014 04:36 PM

Foooooooooooood....

... I think I'm about to go across the street to that buffet. It's been a while.

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 04:43 PM

Then goooo~ Food=Happiness

ml1201 12-30-2014 04:44 PM

You know you want to Illusion! XD Wish I could join you. ^^; I usually get seafood and chicken when I go to the buffet, and lots of Spring rolls because I like my veggies, just picky. x'
D

Espy 12-30-2014 05:28 PM

Chinese buffets generally aren't really authentic ^^; So I prefer my mom's cooking to most of the Chinese restaurant stuff, haha.

ml1201 12-30-2014 05:35 PM

Oh, I know they are not authentic, but its still good either way. :3

I just go to all the expensive stuff, I don't care for authenticity at a buffet, I care for good food + value.

Just had a ton of Calamari, California rolls, Crab, and Beef Steak.
.... I'm still hungry. DARN YOU CHINESE FOOD!

ml1201 12-30-2014 06:55 PM

lol, that is the curse of Chinese food! XD Oh! I just thought of something, if Illusion gets accepted as an artist I can claim that I know a pixelist that's not a girl! :D (they tend to be girls for some odd reason, probably something to do with pixel pets) And you'll promise not to drown us in girly items, right? ^^;

Espy 12-30-2014 07:33 PM

Considering the fact that there are item designers who aren't pixelists, you won't have to worry about that.

ml1201 12-30-2014 09:34 PM

That's not what I meant. x'D A lot of people assume that a pixelist is a female because mostly girls play pet sites with pixel pets and such. And I kind of find it annoying when people assume things like that. ^^;

Espy 12-30-2014 09:52 PM

Naah, I was saying w regards to the girly items :P

ml1201 12-30-2014 10:10 PM

Oh! x'D Yeah, one of the sites I play is 90% girly items because the owner says users are not interested in more masculine clothing because mostly girls play. =.=; Gee, I wonder why mostly girls play. >_>

Espy 12-31-2014 05:30 AM

I am guilty of designing exactly one too-girly set on Tris. Whoops.

ml1201 12-31-2014 09:31 AM

Just one? *glomps and snuggles you* Merry me! T^T

Espy 12-31-2014 04:08 PM

I'm actually not good at female items in the first place, so... ^^;

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 04:13 PM

I could probably do some cool manly armor items or dragons if you'd like!

Coda 12-31-2014 04:14 PM

Do we even have any normal men's formalwear?

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 04:17 PM

From the looks of it... Not really. *Laughs awkwardly* :p-mischievous:

Espy 12-31-2014 04:42 PM

....Thought we did. Lemme check.

Espy 12-31-2014 04:47 PM

We have the Business set commons, and the Nobleman shirt.

Gallagher 12-31-2014 04:53 PM

So, we do, but nothing good enough to stand the test of time. -sad music-

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 04:54 PM

But that's about it, isn't it? ll'D

Gallagher 12-31-2014 04:56 PM

Everyone would benefit from some new ones. I know we have a few female avatar users that could use a damn good suit set.

Espy 12-31-2014 04:57 PM

-faceplants into tablet-

Coda 12-31-2014 04:57 PM

I was thinking more like a tuxedo -- clean lines, sharp shoulders, that kind of thing. The business suit isn't what I was thinking of.

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 04:58 PM

Tuxedos sounds nice~

Gallagher 12-31-2014 05:00 PM

I wanna look like I belong to a Bond movie.

Espy 12-31-2014 05:00 PM

We do have the tux-ish thing from Nobleman, and the one from Irlandeza.

Coda 12-31-2014 05:02 PM

Nobleman top is a bit more leaning toward "leisure suit" than "tuxedo." The guidelines I've been giving in the past for what defines "masculine" wear is that it tends towards sharp, straight lines and angles. Rounded shoulders and lapels take the formal edge off of the design.

Never thought I'd be giving advice on men's fashion, considering how much I hate actually WEARING it. :P

Edit: Irlandeza's a step in the right direction for sure. We should consider adding some more recolors of those poses.

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 05:03 PM

Lol. I wear pretty much anything that's appropriate. I could wear guy clothes and not mind at all. :p-kittysmile:

Espy 12-31-2014 05:05 PM

Yeah, and I don't have enough formalwear IRL. >.> Should get myself a formal vest sometime.

I don't so much mind the styling as I do the comfort. I overheat easily, so I get really uncomfortable wearing anything that doesn't breathe (I even get uncomfortable in a button-up shirt with an undershirt; pants as opposed to shorts in general are tolerated as a necessity), and I don't like having my movement restricted (so something stiff like a tuxedo in unpleasant).

Gallagher 12-31-2014 05:12 PM

Irlandeza is too old for me to have the files for it. The colors used on it aren't very good for preserving details or else I would manually grayscale them.

Coda 12-31-2014 05:15 PM

Poop! ... I wonder if I could do it... They're not GREAT for it, but it wouldn't take THAT much code for me to make something that can split the layers back up and apply a contrast adjustment and smooth out the gradients to try to recover as much detail as possible... Well, maybe the smoothing might be a bit hard, but that could be handled in Photoshop after the fact.

My mom freaks out when she sees me wearing jeans around the house and when it's hot but I find it comfortable plus if I forget to shave no one has to see (tmi, sorry guys) but I mean god. She's always wearing shorts even if it's 30 degrees Celsius?? :p-laugh:

Coda 12-31-2014 05:17 PM

... 30C is warm enough for shorts. >.>

I used to wear shorts in 30F weather.

Gallagher 12-31-2014 05:20 PM

I think the yellow bits would get the most detail back off of them. Black is hopeless, and the green makes the little details like the seams barely visible at all. The back piece doesn't have much detail at all, so I'm not too worried about that. It would be easy to yoink and fix.

So, if I put aside some time for it, I think I could salvage the yellow bits from each of the first 2 color sets. If I'm going to do this, though, I want to try and get that hair, too.

Madame-Aiko 12-31-2014 05:31 PM

Alright, go ahead then Gallagher. :)
@Coda In Texas it gets super cold in the winter and super hot in the summer. Our weather is pretty... Bipolar?

Espy 12-31-2014 05:32 PM

I could manually do each pose, though I have a tendency to set the gamma too high.

Gallagher 12-31-2014 05:38 PM

Urk. A bit, yeah. I'm about 98% sure that it'll need to have the diff versions spliced and adjusted to match, and m/f will both have to be done obviously, and the optional back piece that won't be too hard. The hairs would be an entirely different struggle because of that rainbow.

There any other older ones I should add to my list of poses to rework?
