Mm, For me it is actually not the reason you think, I generally do horrible when it comes to trying to roleplay the male in a romance, even with a MxF.. Which is extremely weird cause I am a hopeless romantic irl.

Templars: Rune Knights, Paladins
Sorcerers: Mages, Alchemists, Necromancers (not sure if those exist, because they're usually considered to be "evil"), psychics
Monks: Priests, typical Monk-class, Clerics (not sure if this should be with Sorcerer)
Warriors: Knights, Fighters, Berserkers
Rogues: Bandits, Assassins
Archers: Bowmen, Trappers, Gunslingers

Hm...I wonder where a Bard-type would go.

Also, you might want to list out the six guilds somewhere to make it more obvious.

I don't plan on making him too overpowered. As of right now, he could fit in the Mage archetype, something like a blood mage, or a necromancer, except he uses the power from the darkness/Taint/whatever it's called. I was thinking about makig him stay like that, or be either related to the Templars or a gunslinger.

If I go down the Templar route, then he would have a greatsword that used to be his templar dad's, which he wouldn't use in normal swordfighting, but rather to release Tainted energy/magic. The magic would come from either himself or from demons, which he uses the actual sword blade to exorcise.

They both sound really good, I obviously am going to use Lance, I have a female character I want to use her name is Lana... She will most likely be either a Cleric or a Priestess...

Nah, it's just the planning that's some serious shit XD Actually, I think some people take 1x1 RPs pretty damn seriously, too, more seriously than I used to take group RPs.

Are you only accepting the six main warriors or are you taking more then one member of each guild?

My character is probably going to be guildless, so I'm assuming there can be more than one if needs be, but it's probably a bit more preferable to have one each.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm having slight issues with character design.

So my character, like I said, has a bit of demonic power, aka Taint, in him, and it's basically tied down to one arm. Because of that Taint, he's able to use dark/blood magic, but he also wields an exorcism sword (massive broadsword, the blade of which he usually doesn't need to use and instead is the way he channels magic).

The character's not exactly /strong/, so would it make sense to have him wield the sword with his possessed arm and cast with his normal one, or vice versa? The problem with having it the first way is it makes /sense/ to have him cast demonic magic with a demonic arm. But then again, I don't think he would have the strength to wield the sword with his normal arm, unless it was like...magically bound to him or something. Which it isn't, really.

Well, That is a good question, I think it would make more sense if he casted magic from the Taint arm... You could have him like, Stab the sword into the ground and hold it with the normal arm, and cast with the taint.. I don't know that's the only thing I could think of that would work...

That's what I was thinking, but for exorcising, he'll still need to carry that sword...

My friend said it'd make sense for him to wield the sword in his possessed arm, because it's probably stronger, and I guess that makes sense, too, so x__X;

Though I'll probably go with having the sword in the normal arm.

Double-post, buuut:

Do the Templars have Dark magic injected in them, or Light? Light would counteract Dark, but Dark could also give them immunity to other Dark magic.

Hmm, I never put much thought into that, I always thought of the Templar injections as a pure magic yet to be tainted or enlightened.

Hm, okay. Because if they were Light, then wielding the sword in his demonic arm might be a bad idea.

So this kind of just happened. I was bored. It's not perfect, yeah, but that was the closest I could get (since mufflers aren't separate from the outfit in Mabi, and pants and tops are all part of one outfit.)
