I've never tried them in chili before. I've used them in chicken soup, but that's about it.

but basically Beef, potatos, parcly, Onion.. and I dunno what else..

I use beef, mushrooms, butter potatoes, onions, garlic, seasoned salt, mushroom bullion, beef bullion, celery, and sometimes bean sprouts.
