I mean, it's no rush on it (and it's not the end of the world if it ends up not happening) I just love the more jewel tone rainbow colors because I'm an odd-ball.
XD
(Thank you for putting up with me!)

Nah dude, I'm there with you. Those are my preferred sorts of colors as well.

Loving water and earth.

Will the eyes and hair from some of the items make it to the shops?

Gallagher 01-16-2018 03:46 PM

modified versions may. i have an entire list of things made for this set that need alts or were cut entirely for commons, so if you have anything specifically you'd like to point out, might as well go ahead so there's less chance i'll forget about it.

It's hard to find exactly what I'm referring to with "dark" or "jewel tone" rainbow, but kind of more like some of these...

More muted emerald greens, golden yellow, crimson red, fuschia type colors...
I feel like I'm really just nitpicking here, you guys work hard to bring us rainbows...
Feel free to tell me to stfu and get out...

Just note when you suggest "Jewel Tone" there is no clear universal defining way of identifying what Jewel looks like. A lot of the colors shown in those dresses already exist in Trisphee's color sets, or at least have colors very close to them.

Try and pick the colors you want and get a CMYK or RBG code for it. That might help Galla out.

This is true as well. For those rare items that have manual rainbowing applied (which is entirely different from overlay rainbows), getting such an effect would be relatively easy. The yellow can be managed from either darkest yellow or lightest brown, the purple would be a mid-dark violet, and pink and teal midtones of their respective shades.

but items with manual rainbow applied are rare, and not something i'm likely to go out of my way to apply myself unless it's a special circumstance. for as much editing and recolor work as i do, i'm still not a pixelist and there are a lot of cases where really detailed gradient application requires more skill than i have.

I was really just giving examples of what I think of as "jewel tone" rainbow colors, as opposed to the current Oilslick dark rainbow that we have, not asking for specific colors. Especially since we were discussing overlays and not specific individual colors.
Thank you, though, for your suggestion. When I have time and access to a computer with internet (which is far easier to use than my phone for certain tasks), I likely will find and suggest more specific colors for the rainbow.

Gallagher 01-16-2018 04:09 PM

hey, also, if y'all wanna play with making overlays for me to try using, you can feel free. a nice big image with colors, patterns, or designs on it, as long as it's uniquely made by you and not pulled off the web somewhere.

Kaderin Triste 01-16-2018 04:12 PM

Is there like....a specific program that should be used or can we legit just draw/color something?

Gallagher 01-16-2018 04:27 PM

you can legit just draw/color something

for reference, my rainbow overlays look like this

larger/more varied images give me more to work with

Kaderin Triste 01-16-2018 04:33 PM

Does it need to be on a computer or can it be done by hand? (Probably would use a computer, but just curious.)

Illusion 01-16-2018 04:38 PM

If you can make up amazing metal overlays, you will be my God.

Gallagher 01-16-2018 04:45 PM

i'm not sure how metal would work, since it needs the shine to follow the shape of the item?

Illusion 01-16-2018 04:53 PM

Which is why I said she'd be God if she was able to do it.
