We couldn't see it from here! But there'll be in 2019, it seems.
I remember seeing one when I was a child.

this was my view....

https://scontent-lga3-1.cdninstagram...58471680_n.jpg

and there's some earlier pics on my Instagram... for the darker pics, i took the special glasses, covered my phone's camera lens, and then took the pic in the reflection of my car window.

but that pic up there ^ i just looked up and took the pic... which is why it's not all that good - no time to really focus. just literally point-and-shoot. XD

Demonskid 08-21-2017 08:55 PM

Even unfocused, its a nice shot trystan! ovo thanks for sharing!

trystan830 08-21-2017 08:57 PM

thanks DK!

did you see my other pics on IG?

Glitch 08-21-2017 09:53 PM

we were in the 99% eclipsed spot so it got dark like wearing a super strong pair of sunglasses! but not totally dark.

trystan830 08-21-2017 10:03 PM

oh that sounds very cool, Glitch!

Demonskid 08-21-2017 11:55 PM

I saw, they were very beautiful. too bad I didn't know the reflecting thing earlier. I woulda demanded my neighbor bring her car over to the picknick benches x'D

trystan830 08-21-2017 11:58 PM

aww, thanks!

i got the reflection idea on saturday, actually. the sun was out, and i remembered i wanted to test the glasses, and while i was outside, i saw the reflection of the sun on the hood of my car... and thought maybe i could see how a picture of the reflection would turn out. and then today i experimented with the special glasses to see what i could do.

Nice guys I couldn't see much from my nest in Canada lol

Asami 08-22-2017 12:14 AM

i was where it was complete total eclipse. traffic was horrible :/ so many people flew/ drove in for it. it was insanneeeeee

Demonskid 08-22-2017 06:30 AM

Lucky Asami! ono

I'm gonna wait and see how much prices drop on the Eclipse glasses >w> then snag a few while prices are low to prepare for the next one in 2024.

Illusion 08-22-2017 09:25 AM

I had the special glasses my school handed out and watched it. I let everyone borrow more glasses to s e for themselves. Made my college president happy and every professor in the art department.

trystan830 08-22-2017 11:19 AM

so i got my glasses at one of my county library branches... i'd found a website that had a link to the participating libraries, and the one where i got my glasses was down the road from where i used to live. heee!

also, for the one in 2024, it's all the way across my state (i'm in PA, near Philly... and i'll be Erie that's in the path of totality. totally doable... 6-1/2 hour drive! *woot!*)
