Fin relaxed a little. "Is there anything you need?" Raven asked Fin.
So Fin thought about it for a moment before asking, "Do you have any books?" |
Wolfe turned and nodded.
Fin smiled a little, getting excited. "Any book would be great," he explained.
Wolfe nodded again as he walked over to one of the touch screens in the room and turned it on with a flick. He disabled the securities before opening up a window. Hundreds if not thousands of digital books filled the screen. He then unlocked a case and pulled out a tablet before sealing it back up again. "Any book you want, grab it from the large screen and move it to the small screen," he explained as he handed the device to Fin, it's screen was about the size of a page in a book. He seemed to have calmed down a bit with Fin.
Fin blinked at the tablet before looking up at Wolfe, a little confused. "... Grab it?" he asked. He didn't even seem familiar with the simple tablet Wolfe had put in his hands.
Wolfe blinked before sighing a little. He took the tablet back from Fin and walked over to the screen, "Grab it," he repeated as he put his hand on one of the book before lifting it off the screen and placing his hand on the tablet. He then showed the tablet to Fin, the book was now on the tablet.
"Whoa..." Fin said, like he hadn't seen anything like that before. Raven held back a chuckle but couldn't help a smile.
Wolfe then flicked a finger across the touch screen and the page flipped, "You try," he stated, holding out the tablet to Fin. It seemed like Wolfe's parental instincts were coming out whether he wanted them to or not.
Raven managed to keep himself quiet as he watched Wolfe in action.
Fin tried to repeat Wolfe's actions. He was still a little confused at first, but then something clicked and he started to catch on quickly. |
Once it was clear Fin had gotten the hang of it, Wolfe turned to leave.
"... Thanks," Fin told him, excitement in his voice. Raven patted Fin's shoulder as he followed Wolfe out.
That seemed to irritated Wolfe, almost like he had just realized what he'd done. But he walked out and locked the door behind Raven.
"... You were really good with him," Raven complimented Wolfe.
Wolfe glared at Raven a little, "Buy him clothing," he ordered before walking off in almost a stomping way.
Raven didn't let that ruin the moment. "Yes," he replied before letting Wolfe storm off. So Raven did a little research into the current fashions for teenage boys before going shopping.
When Raven returned from his shopping, Wolfe was there to meet him.
Raven looked excited to show off the clothes he found. But he managed to hold back in case Wolfe had something more important to say.
Wolfe didn't appear to have anything to say as he looked at Raven's large bag and raised an eyebrow.
So Raven showed off some of his favorites to Wolfe.
Wolfe seemed disinterested to say the least but he nodded for Raven's sake and turned, "Go deliver them," he suggested.
Raven nodded, not wasting too much of Wolfe's time before walking to the Juttle.
When Raven left Fin there was a long moment before the door unlocked again and Frei stepped inside.
Fin was at the dinning table, looking a little overwhelmed at the clothes lying on the table.
Frei went over and looked at all the clothing. She pulled out the black jacket, green shirt and jeans from the pile and held them out. (outfit 3)
Fin seemed a little startled when he noticed Frei. He blinked as she held out the clothes. After an awkward moment he took the clothes and went to find a place to change.
When Fin came back out, all the clothing was folded and organized on the table according to... actually that wasn't very clear. It was definitely organized in some pattern but none of the items she'd put together went together. Not by type of clothing, color or material.
Fin was less concerned with the sorting of the clothes and more concerned with what he was wearing. He didn't look too comfortable in it yet. Part of the problem was that the tags were still on everything.
Frei paused a moment before walking over and proceeding the rip the tag rather harshly from his jacket.
Fin flinched as she did so, not because it physically hurt. But now the expensive jacket couldn't be returned.
Frei then proceeded to strip all the other tags off of him.
Fin sighed after the third tag, giving up trying to figure out how many dishes he'd need to clean to pay back all the clothes.
Frei seemed to read his thoughts as she tilted her head, "Wolfe hates worn clothing," she explained, "He doesn't care about the money."
Fin blinked at Frei, having a little difficulty wrapping his head around someone having enough money to toss these clothes at him.
Frei blinked, "A kitten doesn't have to worry about clothes and food," she stated before turning back to his other clothing.
It took Fin a few moments to follow. "I-I'm not some pet," he complained. Right?
Frei was busy ripping the tags off of the rest of his clothing.
After a few moments, Fin slowly joined her taking the tags off the clothes as he tried to figure out the method to her sorting madness.
Depending on how observant Fin was, he might figure out that she had sorted everything by thread count.
Fin didn't seem to catch on.
Frei turned to Fin, "Your brother is a cat," she stated suddenly, "who's in love with a bird."
