Raven's face got a shade deeper of red. "Ryugi," Raven whispered again, trying to find that right balance of firmness and gentleness so he wouldn't wake up startled.
Wolfe's eyes half opened before falling back asleep again.
Raven sighed before trying to give him a light kiss on the forehead.
Wolfe shot awake at that, his forehead smacking Raven on the nose.
Raven cussed a little as he rubbed his nose.
Wolfe sat up and then stared in an almost gape, apparently Frei hadn't just played with Wolfe.
Raven did his best not to stare back at Wolfe as he kept rubbing his nose. His face was still red.
"You're pretty," Wolfe suddenly stated. That didn't help the awkwardness of the situation.
Raven's blush deepened a little, wondering what he looked like now.
Wolfe reached out and played with a curl of Raven's hair, "Looks like Frei found a curling iron..." he sighed.
"... She have a thing for curly hair?" Raven asked before pulling gently at one of Wolfe's curls.
Wolfe shrugged slightly, not seeming to understand the awkwardness of staying on top of Raven.
-- When morning came to the island, Laurel was still on her side. She was sitting with her knees drawn up to her chest, staring out at the water. She hadn't eaten or taken anything from the care package. |
Raven continued to wait, but when Wolfe didn't move he seemed to start getting used to it.
-- Nic still didn't leave his side. |
Wolfe finally yawned a little and gracefully got off of Raven, "I wonder where she went," he sighed.
Raven slowly sat up and shrugged.
Wolfe nodded, "I need to check in with Kale," he decided as he stood.
"... You might want to check a mirror first," Raven suggested. "You look nice, but I'm not sure if it's the impression you want to give."
Wolfe blinked, "Frei's make up stays on for the remainder of the day," he informed Raven. Apparently Frei had special stuff.
"... Huh?" Raven asked, not sure if he believed Wolfe or not.
Wolfe stood and stretched a little as he headed towards the door.
Raven sighed a little, chilling in the theater for a few minutes before heading to his room to check Frei's makeup job.
He did look really gorgeous. Frei was good at this. It also didn't come off, no matter how hard Raven tried.
Raven only tried a little bit before changing his outfit accordingly.
There was a knock on Yue's door.
After a little while Yue opened the door. She was still in the process of getting ready for the day.
There was a little bouquet of flowers and a note.
Yue stared at it for a long time, debating whether to take it or not. But she eventually picked it up, brought it inside, and read the note.
Yue,
I'm under the impression that you don't want to see my face. Or hear my voice. Or voices, I guess. I know that words without actions mean nothing to you, so you don't believe me when I try to explain how much I love you. So I'm going to prove it to you, Yue. I'm going to prove to you without a shadow of a doubt that I love you. Just wait a little longer, James |
Yue read the note a few more times before folding it up neatly and tucking it in her bra over her heart. If he truly thought he could, then she'd hold onto hope a little longer.
Long could feel a follower as they entered the next city. His follower was clearly allowing her presence to be felt.
Long let her follow. Eventually both Long and Dewei ended up in a club and sat at a table in the corner.
They didn't have to wait long, "Hello, Boys," Pepper stated as she took a seat beside Long. Her orange hair was as bright as always and contrasted her bright pink strapless bra and black leather leggings.
Both Long and Dewei didn't seem too interested. "What do you want?" Dewei asked, sounding bored.
Pepper smirked and looked them over with practiced ease. "Hmm, a little disappointing," she sighed to herself, she'd expected better from Wolfe's description of Long. "Where are you boys headed?" she asked as she ordered herself a drink.
"None of your business," Dewei replied smoothly.
Pepper rolled her eyes a little, "You two are like the wet blankets of the club," she drawled.
Dewei seemed to take a little offense at that, but Long's expression remained the same. "If that's all you have to say, be on your way," Dewei told her.
Pepper started laughing and kept laughing for awhile but it sounded off. This wasn't a happy laugh, it was a condescending one. She shook her head at the targets of her laugh, "Oh terracrust! You two are just as bad as Wolfe!"
Dewei didn't seem to like that name being brought up. Still no reaction from Long. "Stop wasting our precious time," Dewei warned, in a bad mood.
"Precious time? You're being the anti-social losers in a club! That's doesn't seem precious to me," she informed Dewei before taking a slug of beer.
